"Convenient to city"
This hotel was conveniently located just off the highway. It was quiet and well maintained. Excellent breakfast and even had a Manager's Happy Hour.
Nice room, clean ....nice follow up from front desk if all was well. Good breakfast spread....definitely would return

The staff at the Hampton Inn was exceptional. They provided information we needed to local sights, and restaurants. We really appreciated the shuttle to and from the Consol Energy Center to watch the NCAA Mens Basketball Games.

Good hotel - next to the highway but I heard no highway noise. Clean, quiet, not extremely busy or noisy. conveniently in between Pittsburgh and the airport. Watch out for morning traffic into Pittsburgh though. My one issue was that the air conditioner/heater sounded like a truck going down a hill on air brakes. It was kicking on all night and I would […] almost fall asleep when it would wake me up. I was used to it by the second night. But if you need your room to be extremely quiet, it may not be the hotel for you. Breakfast was good, the exercise room was clean and had a big TV. Wireless was veeeerry slow, and no wired connection was available. don't expect to be streaming movies in your room. Very clean. Bed was clean and comfortable. Les mer

"our dog was happy"
Location of the hotel was good for us, but since its on the other side of the tunnel from downtown Pittsburgh it may not be best for people visiting the city. We always bring our dog and the staff is very nice to him and he loves breakfast sausages.

A little hard-to-find (but well worth the search), the cleanliness and freshness of the rooms is matched only by the friendliness of the staff. Once you know where you're going it's extremely convenient to I-376 and downtown Pittsburgh. The workers are very friendly and are willing to help with anything. Clean rooms and great breakfast. Only a few miles away from downtown Pittsburgh. Overall good experience.
"Not Hampton Inn quality"
Staff were polite but the facility needs overhauled with finishes refurbished. Our 2 bed "queen" were actually full size with very little room around the beds. Very small bathroom. Oddly had a dehumidifier unit running and extremely loud heating unit. Hamptons in other sites have never been this dumpy in my past travel experiences.

The hotel stay was great - they even let us check in 2 hours early. The only complaint I have is that the bathroom smelled sour, I think it was coming from the shower curtain. They had complimentary breakfast which was good and convenient. Overall great place to stay.

We selected this hotel to attend a concert at the Consol Energy Center. The staff was very friendly and helpful and every encounter was enjoyable. Extra kudos to our shuttle driver who was very knowledgable of the area and more than accomodating! The room was very clean and we thought the beds were very comfortable and cozy with the very plump comforters. The […] complimentary breakfast had more offerings than was expected as compared to the usual free breakfast fare so this was a plus. The free parking was a nice surprise as well since I do not encounter this very often while traveling in the area anymore. Overall, a very enjoyable experience at this hotel. It was an awesome hotel, rooms were comfortable, The staff were great, friendly, and helpful. The shuttle drivers were great as well, they took you where you wanted to go and came back to get you when you called them.. Lots of good breakfast; we had to ask for more shampoo but otherwise it was fine. We faced the highway but were totally unaware of the traffic. We also enjoyed using the fitness center.

"not to the Hampton Inn standard"
I've stayed at several Hampton Inns around the country and this location needs some upkeep and better maintenance. The AC in the room had some issues, and the carpets did not seem very clean. The breakfast was OK. The shuttle service seems convenient but did not use it. The staff was cordial and helpful.

I am from Mexico,i Went for a game of the pittsburgh Steelers and of course i look reviews at internet,and choose this Hotel,,everything is perfect the free breakfast,the hotel,the internet free service the wi-fi,the free shuttle everything,,people like Ron,makes to feel you between friends ,not in a simple hotel
The business center was the best that I have used in the last five years. The wireless interner service in my room was very helpful. It is a GREAT place to stay when an individual has business in that area. The only problem was reaching the hotel from a side road which was difficult to access when the hotel was visible.

We stay in Pittsburgh relatively often to visit family. We generally stay closer to the Homefront area, but have found that the hotel rates are too high. We discovered a good alternative with quality staff at the Hampton in Greentree. Wonderful breakfast, fresh fruit and hot drinks - throughout the day. Relatively close to Pitt's Southside. We didn't use the complimentary shuttle. The kids enjoyed the pool. Overall condition of the hotel is acceptable.

"Great Place to stay !"
We stay at this hotel everytime we visit Pittsburgh. It is well taken care of and it shows. The continental breakfast is great and every evening they had goodies to eat and or drink in the lobby. We would recommend this hotel to anyone. Only complaint is that there isn't comfortable seating in the room only a computer/desk chair. Carolyn

Hotel was nice and in a good location. VERY disappointed in hotels.com though because we specified two smoking rooms and it was stated on our confirmation notice but the hotel received request for nonsmoking rooms. That was extremely inconvenient. The hotel itself though was nice and clean.

Well what can I say about this hotel. It is 3 miles from downtown Pittsburgh. Carla and the staff made you feel very welcome from the moment you arrive in the hotel. The room was cleaned every day. The hotel was spotless. With an up to date business centre that was handy when checking in for flights home and it was free to use. The breakfast was great […] and what made it great was the choice and the fact that it is free. Vending and ice machines on all floors were available if you needed a snack. To Ron and the guys who ran the free shuttle service from 7an - 10pm daily thank you. I was a service with a smile and a bit of a tour of the city. Ron even stopped off at a shopping mall on our way back to the airport thank you. So I would recommend this hotel for its value and comfort. If I was to have one issue it would be a small bar would be nice if you wanted a night cap. Thank you guys for a great service. Paddy and Dave from Ireland!!! Les mer

"Friends and Family Visit"
This is our second stay at this hotel. The property is clean, comfortable and quiet. We especially enjoyed the snack bags that were available on Monday morning with a "to go" breakfast. What a nice surprise!
"Not a good value"
Maybe this is happening nationwide, but it seemed like a lot to pay for what we got. We missed the tiny sign at the base of the service road and had trouble finding the access road. Late at night, it's very frustrating. Be warned: no good restaurants in immediate vicinity. It's within 10 driving minutes of downtown, however, which is why I booked it. The hotel itself was fine, but the pillows were too hard! Change the pillows or have some soft and some hard!
