Let me bulletpoint my comments to make it more helpful: - great hotel, lobby very grand - room was perfect, a little smallish but quiet - ask for room away from the street if noise is an issue (which is what we did before we arrived) - marble bathrooms in room - perfect location, next to St Lazare Station, 1 stop away from Gare du Nord - Concierge - […] Vincent - is a gem, extremely helpful, and his dining recommendations were always spot on - all in all my wife and I thought it was a great hotel for the price! Classy old hotel with style and sofisticated atmosphere and a spacious lobby area. Very unlike the tiny hotels you normally will find in Paris. We'd love to come back.

Excellent hotel, well situated for bus, metro or RER Staff friendly and welcomng, seemed to be ejoying their job. Hotel is showing its age, built in 1900,s but appears well maintained, and surprisingly, every thing worked with out having to knock or bang it. Did not eat in, but there are a wide range of bistro,s cafes, restaurants close by. St Lazare […] station is just behind and a wide range of wino,s and down and outs are available to step around. Nothing to do with the hotel, but the area around would be improved with out them. Would I go to this hotel again, definately yes. Les mer

We booked two rooms, one of them was very small for a 4*, the other quite spacious. We had a small issue when leaving the hotel because 2 bottles bought outside were counted as belonging to the minibar (which they didn't), but this was quickly corrected. Nice situation, easy to move around.

This hotel is impressive from the front and the lobby is fantastic. This led to us being a little disappointed with the small, out of date room. However, the staff were friendly and helpful, the location is really central and we had a really nice stay. Perfect location to shopping, sight seeing and train station. The concierge is a gem, helping a tourist find her way. The room was clean and comfy, a bit pricey but worth it. Beware the train station is not the place for night strolling with folks sleeping on the sidewalks.

We had an appointment in US Embassy in Paris (Which is very close to Louvre) and Concorde Opera was in the walking distance, it is just next to Saint-Lazare Station too, so its location is perfect. The building and its lobby are wonderful and our room was spacious and comfortable. The price of the breakfast was steep, but we needed to leave early anyway […] so it didn't bother us. Overall, it is a good hotel for short business stays and I think that it will serve well the tourists too. Les mer

Very good value for money

Contrary to its reception area which looks very impressive, the rooms look old and in a dire need for refurbishment. More of a tired 3-star hotel. The price was not bad for Paris, but the rooms are not soundproof, ours was looking straight into the St lazarre station and the train announcements will wake you up in the morning. wonderful in every way

Although the cleanliness of the rooms was excellent the decor is a little tired looking and needs a re-vamp. Difficult to fault otherwise. Staff excellent, the reception has the wow factor and the location is first class. We stayed on the fifth floor and did not notice any problem with noise, if fact it offers wonderfull views . I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone going to Paris. The hotel and room were very clean. The location is great and walkable to many attractions. Upon entering the lobby you think you have reserved a four star room. Once you are in the room it's a whole different story. Peeling walls, no outlet or hairdryer in bathroom. Crazy water temp variation while you are showering. Toilets that run, the room was totally outdated not in a good French classic way. The bed was hard as a rock. I will never […] stay here again. They graciously offered to VIP upgrade me on my next stay but I won't be back. Paris hotels are a crap shoot for sure. Go with a US chain if you can. Les mer

The rooms need to be updated. The staff is very nice, but bathrooms were very dated and dirty.

I booked this hotel without knowing how we would get around Paris. The hotel is located near a major train station and metro lines, which was nice considering we were pedestrians during our visit. The hotel staff was both friendly & helpful. The room was spacious and well appointed. Made reservations just 45 minutes before actually showing up at the hotel, no problem with checking, no need to show a voucher or any other hassle. Asked for a quite room and was given one that was towards the court yard, nothing really to see outside. For me it was perfect since I prefer a more quite surrounding so that I can sleep well, pretty much […] traffic just outside. Close to Metro and within walking distance to Printemps, Galleri Lafayette and opera. For me, I enjoy walking, everything north of the Seine was within walking distance. Room was comfortable and spacious, I had a queen bed. Room offered a little walk in closet, tv with one BBC-only English channel. Wi-fin in room was super, good connection. Comfortable bed, semi-hard and good pillows, both for sitting and sleeping. Room have an elegant old flair feel to it, reminder of the good old days, so does the lobby. Elevators was quick and efficient. Breakfast was 28€ per person buffé, I didn't have it. Concierge was very friendly and helpful. Bathroom was spacious, with window, comfortable and clean, good water pressure in the shower. A hotel to recommend, if you like a comfortable, old style hotel with historic feel in a good neighborhood within easy access to metro and city. I had breakfast at a chain called Ekxi good healthy food, if you are into organic and food that does good to your health. Enjoy your stay in Paris. Les mer

The lobby is beautifully classical, as is the rest of the hotel. The elevators and modern and fast, and the bathroom have been updated. The level of service from the multilingual staff was excellent: efficient, courteous, and cheerful. The two rooms we had were small (it's Paris), but well laid out. The one one the 4th "etage" was a bit cramped for […] two, but the one on the "1er etage" was extremely comfortable for a 7 day stay. The flat screen TV worked fine, and had cable news in English and various other languages. Regular TV programming was only in French. Avoid the minibar, room service, and clothes cleaning when possible, as they are extremely expensive. The hotel restaurant, on the other hand, is moderately priced. the location was not good. Too noisy. Next to Gare saint lazare. The hotel lobby is nice, the rooms are small, but the bathrooms are large. breakfast is very expensive 29 euros. sevice is good and the concierge very helpful.

For the price I paid online thru my travel website, this was a great hotel. The advertised room charges on the counter were much more than what I paid. Beautiful Hotel, good location, easy access to Metro/trains, clean rooms, great hotel service; what else can I ask for in Paris?

I've stayed in the hotel in April 2011. The hotel is located near the saint lazare station which is a metro+rer+central train station from which you can take a train to almost anywhere, including chateau versailles. As for the hotel itself, the standard room is quite small, like many other Parisien hotels, but it was nice and clean.

I stay in Paris regularly on business and am often disappointed by the quality of anything remotely affordable. This was an exception, lovely room spacious and clean with a very comfy bed. The location is excellent for sightseeing and shopping. You can walk to most things. Only two small negatives, the concierge desk only had one person and there was […] always an endless queue and my room was very noisy next to the train station, the announcements started very early - ask for a room away form the station my friend couldn't hear anything form her room! The hotel location is excellent to transport links, restaurants and tourist attractions. We had booked a deluxe room but were disappointed with its size and views and upgrades to a better room on the 4th floor. The room and bed were comfortable with all the expected amenities but the bathroom shower lacked pressure. The service was generally satisfactory […] but the concierge was excellent. The Concorde Opera is a superb building,with much heritage,and a superb lobby.Staff are excellent.Had a small problem with fused lighting, and technicians fixed it within 10 minutes. De-luxe room very good,although not particularly de-luxe.Bathroom adequate,but NOT de-luxe. Just a small warning.We booked for our wedding anniversary,and asked for the […] best available room. No auto upgrade option at the hotel unfortunately, and so we were offered a better room at a supplement of 50 euros per night. Our room however overlooked the rear of St.Lazare,and at the moment,there are building works on the station...not the best view for one's anniversary.We could also hear sncf train announcements.Be SURE to check where you are allocated !!! All that said,we would return,AND recommend the hotel. It is situated on a good metro line,and within walking distance of Musee Jacquemart,Galeries Laf. Printemps,Opera Garnier,and some good eats and drinks around Rue Daunou. One more tip...breakfast is extortionate..the eggs and /or bacon is actually cheaper than the continental....but better still to eat outside. Central location for most Paris sights, with good metro connections. Room small but adequate for 3 night stay, bathroom large and clean. Lots of nearby options for breakfast which is outrageously expensive in hotel, as are the mini-bar prices.

Hotel is beautiful and great location although rooms are dated. Hard to get a taxi as the taxi public stand is just outside the hotel and the porters get into arguments with those waiting in line. Get outside early to get a taxi for your destination

THIRD TIME IN PARIS AND THIS IS THE BEST HOTEL OUT OF 3 . PERFECT LOCATION NEXT TO EWERYTHING WHAT PARIS IS FAMOUS FOR. CLEAN ROOMS , WELL TRAINED PERSONNEL . PREPARE TO SPEAK AT LEAST A LITTLE FRENCH.LOCALS PREFER FRENCH AND LOVE WHEN TOURISTS ARE TRYEING TO SPEAK THEIR LANGUAGE.

more two star than four star, but dont tell the staff. They are rebuilding the station behind hotel,so jack hammers from 8am to 5pm non stop for the next 18 months

GWに6泊しました。デラックスルームでしたが、けっこう狭めでしたが、清潔感がありました。アメニティも結構揃ってました。(歯ブラシはなし)。特にコンシェルジュがすばらしく、様々なお願いに期待以上の対応をしてくれました。パリに再訪する時は、また利用したいと思います。

O hotel é bom e relativamente bem localizado. O café da manhã não está incluído e eles cobram 30 euros por pessoa por café da manhã. Eu achei absurdamente caro pelo café que eles oferecem. Não recomendo que usem a lavanderia do hotel, pois eles são enrolados e me devolveram uma calça jeans manchada após a lavagem. Recomendo este hotel com restriçõe […] s. Les mer
