Meget bra, men frokost og søss delingen bør være med i prisen. Det er surt å måtte betale ekstra for dette som man tar som en selvfølge nor en er ute å reiser.

Vi hadde et supert opphold på D' Amsterdam. Hotellet lå i en stille gate med gangavstand til sentrum og de fleste severdigheter. Frokosten var inkludert i prisen og var innholdsrik til å være et såpass lite hotell. Servicen var veldig god, vi fikk mange anbefalinger på utflukter og gode restauranter. Resepsjonen så litt sliten ut, og vi ble først litt skeptiske, men det viste seg at rommet og spiserommet var rent og fint. Det eneste minuset var at det var veldig lytt mellom rommene. Selv om det var veldig rolig mens vi var der, og ikke noe problem, kan det kanskje være det... ? Uansett - kommer gjerne tilbake!

Bodde her under feiringen av queens day, kjempe sentralt men likevel stille og fint inne. Veldig god servise og mat på hotellet. eneste negative må være at teppet på rommet trengte en rens.
"Not a 5 start hotel"
Not a 5 star hotel, maximum 4 star business hotel. If you are a couple and want to spend the week-end in Amsterdam, thi is NOT the hotel you are looking for. Continental breakfast nothing special. WiFi charged as an extra: an incredibly primitive policy!
"Close to Central station"
Service in general was very good. Personal were kind and friendly, except for one concierge who seemed annoyed, but the others were great. The location is good if you want to be close to the central station, red light district and where all the turists are, but next time I would rather stay in a nicer area.

the renaissance hotel in the city center met and exceeded our expectations. it was our first time to amsterdam and the location was PERFECT!!...right in the middle of it all. the staff was excellent! they were always eager to help with anything you needed. i would tell all to book this hotel above all others!!

Great Hotel and helping people.
Lovely hotel in a very convenient location. Friendly, attentive staff, large, comfortable room... Breakfast overpriced, so go out and eat locally, but very pleased I decided to stay there and will do so again.

The hotel was a convenient location and walking distance to all major attractions. We stayed there for nine nights and enjoyed our trip. The only negative aspect was the hotel made us pay a city fee for about 70 Euros even when our reservation was prepaid through Hotels.com. Our reservation was saying that all taxes were included. Room was clean and staff was very accommodating. Ian from housekeeping staff was such a joy. Location was just a 5 minute walk from the train station and visitor center which was very convenient. Would definitely recommend.

We have booked this hotel because of the reviews and location. Arrived on Friday and stayed until Sunday afternoon. The hotel didn't disappoint but there were a few issues we didn't expect from a hotel of this rating. The hotel is in a quiet side street in the middle of the main happenings. Had no problems with noise. The rooms are clean and so is the […] hotel. The decoration is pleasant. The check-in / check-out was smooth and we were welcome to leave our luggage after the Sunday check-out. What surprised us was the poor quality of the bed (very soft, and well worn) and lack of (free) Wi-Fi. Especially in a hotel with conference rooms we did expect available Wi-Fi connection. And finally, the maid knocking on our door sunday morning despite the privacy sign was a little annoying. All in all a good hotel in a very central location. Great hotel, lovely ample sized rooms, well maintained and only 5 mins walk to Dam Square. Close to some very good restaurants. Booked 2 deluxe rooms for 4 of us and emailed the hotel 1 month in advance to request interconnecting rooms, but when we arrived, they could not accommodate our request, despite our disappointment and in fact the rooms weren't […] even together. "fantastic central location"
We were in Amersterdam one day prior to boarding a cruise ship. The concierge was most helpful in recommending and selling us tickets to the Van Gogh Museum so that we didn't have to stand in line, which was 2 blocks long when we arrived on a Sunday morning. Hotel is convenient for walking around, restaurants, sidewalk coffee/beer/wine drinking, and […] night life. We were very pleased. "Superb hotel, good location"
We stayed in the Renaissance for 3 nights last week and we were all very impressed. The hotel itself was decorated to a high order and the staff were extremely helpful and attentive. Location wise, it was only a 5 minute walk to the main station and close to the red light district and it's unique experience after dark! "Great location with helpful and friendly staff"
Husband and I enjoyed our two day stay at this hotel. The staff was helpful, checking in was easy and the room was clean. Close to public transportation and several attractions. The only thing I wish they had was free wi-fi and I would have rated this a 5. Would stay there again.

We stayed at the Renaissance for work for 3 nights. Every level of service was extremely genuine and helpful from bellhop to front desk, to bartender and wait staff. The hotel has an excellent gym and two bars. Our favorite was the older looking one decorated in rich colored wood. My only complaint was that the windows in the rooms were a bit drafty, […] due to a new window installed into an older brick building, but at least they are keeping with upkeep. The hotel was close walking distance to everything we wanted to see and do. (Dam Square, shopping, museums, Red Light Dist, etc. Used the tram to get around)

"No deficiencies"
Pleasant, efficient staff. Comfortable room, typical Amsterdam size, i.e., not very big. Breakfast a little pricey, but extensive buffet. Walking distance to almost everything. And most remarkably, a passable fitness center: functioning cardio equipment; multi-ex machine; and a decent set of dumbbells.

The hotel is wonderful, built into the surrounding streets, very comfortable, welcoming and friendly.... The Marriott "Spirit to Serve" is very evident, every member of staff is there for you and always happy to help. Language skills are very good and the staff made every effort to communicate clearly. As with all European Marriotts the clientele […] is varied and interesting, if you get the chance use the Exec Lounge and talk to people. We stayed at the Renaissance hotel from the 9th October to 11th October for my husbands birthday. We loved this hotel as it was close to the centre but quiet enough to get a good nights sleep. When you eventually got in of course. The room was comfortable. The only thing we found that it lacked was a kettle to make yourself tea in the morning.However […] thats not much at all as the room was clean and nice. Les mer

Very friendly staff, couldn't do enough for us. Only a few minutes walk from Central Station.
"Beautiful Hotel in a Great Area"
We adored that we could walk out the front door and get food, drink, or shopping within one block. The hotel is also within a short walk to the tram, which goes to all major tourist destinations. The room was comfortable and the usual "large by European standards / small by U.S. standards" size. The fitness center had towels, water, several aerobic […] machines, yoga mats, free weights, and TV. The one drawback to this location is the wireless Internet charge: It's about $30 (20 Euros) per day. Lucky for us we arrived on a Thursday and left on a Monday, so we only needed the connection for the first 24 hours. Les mer

The was very well maintained, very clean room. I arrived three hours early and they gave me my room. the concierge was extremely helpful (knew the weather forecast, knew where to find anything and everything I wanted, even at 4 am). The bed was very comfortable, a real king size, not just 2 twin beds put together. It was very well worth the price.

Great hotel location & despite being a business hotel, making the most of the room rate offer gave us good location, good room & easy walking distance to the attractions and eveing night life. Only thing we didn't do was take advantage of the breakfast as there was better breakfasts on offer elsewhere in the city at more attractive rates.

"Small rooms; expensive internet"
For a five-star hotel, my room was a little small, even for Amsterdam. Also the internet was 20 Euros a day (about $29 USD).
"Luxury weekend treat"
We stayed for four nights and couldnt fault the hotel. Centrally located for all of Amsterdams delights. Surprisingly quiet. Sumptious breakfasts and a big fluffy luxury room. We stayed in a king size bed room. The normal double rooms are just a luxurious but a bit small. I'd look to get a King size bed room is my advice.

Lovely hotel, friendly staff,clean and modern room everything you need for a short break! It is a large hotel and our room took quite some getting to as one of the lifts was out of order but that wasn't a major problem for us. Very swish, definately worth the money!

"We will be back"
I spent the weekend in Rennaissance Hotel Amsterdam in bed! I had organised my Hen weekend in Amsterdam with a group of friends from both the NL & the UK and had booked the Rennaissance Hotel as our base. Unfortunately I turned up to my own Hen weekend very ill and had to spend the weekend in bed whilst my friends went out and had a wonderful time. […] The Hotel staff couldn't have been more helpful and looked after me. I was checked on a few times and they were constantly asking if they could help me some more. I was able to keep the room for half a day longer at no cost so I could spend the afternoon before my evening flight back home in bed as well. Of course the best place to be when you are not well is at home but if you can't I recommend moving your sick bay here because the service is unrivalled! We have decided to coem back in a years time on the anniversary of this wekend and try again, thsi tiem hoping the now married 'hen' will b ehealthy and able to join in. Les mer

Very good hotel, only 5 minutes walk from Central station, 7 minutes walk from the Red Light District. Very close to plenty of bars/restaurants. Quality of the hotel was perfect, bed was comfortable, no complaints what so ever.

Valitsin hotellin, johon aamiainen sisältyy hintaan. Eri vaihtoehtoja erilaisille aamiaisille ei mainittu! PUUTE!!! Yllätys oli hotellissa. Aamiainen olikin mannermainen, eli ei mitään lämmintä eikä tuoretta tarjolla. Lisäksi aamiainen tarjoiltiin eri tiloissa, ja tarjottava oli lopussa joka aamu ja ruuhkainen, sekä pöytätilaa ei ollut tarjolla.
