Et veldig greit hotel, reint og ordentlig. God beliggenhet mtp severdighetene i Athen. Kort vei til nærmeste metrostasjon.

Vi ble utrolig fornøyd med hvor bra det var på Herodion. Vi trodde ikke det var så høy standard, men dette var kjempe bra. Rommene var så deilige, ortopediske senger, aircondition, utsikten formidabel. Vi kunne nærmest "ta" på Akropolis. Perfekt beliggenhet,- anbefales på det sterkeste.

Herodian er praktisk talt nabo til Acropolis. 3 min. gange til en av Aten's største turistattraksjoner - uten at du merker turiststrømmen mens du er på hotellet. Det er også gangavstand til bydelen Plaka, med mange fine spisesteder og butikker. Hotellet har en flott takterrasse, og utsikten herfra mot et opplyst Acropolis på kveldstid må oppleves. Rommene […] er moderne, har deilige senger, AC, og ellers alt du forventer deg å finne på et over middels hotell i Hellas. Prøv også restauranten på takterrassen til Royal Olympic Hotel. Hotellet ligger 5 min. gange fra Herodion, og har en av områdets flotteste restauranter og coctailbar under åpen himmel. Utsikten til Acropolis, Zeus katerdralen med mer er rett og slett utrolig. It is situated in a safe area and close to all the things worth seeing with a beautiful view . The hotel standard is not a fully 4 star, but closer to 3. The staff aren't the most smiling ones. Recommended.

Herodions Athens. Kan anbefales. Sentralt til det meste . Vi følte oss trygge i strøket. Veldig fornøyd . Bra service og god frokost. Tusen takk for et fint opphold.

Perfekt beliggenhet i Athen. Pluss for super takterrassa. Anbefales!

Hotellet hadde hyggelige fellesarealer, men på rommene var det litt små og trange bad. God frokost. Beliggenheten er også meget sentral. Helt greit, men hadde forventet noe høyere standard på rommene, prisen tatt i betraktning.

We had a great time in Athens and this hotel and staff were a large part of it!

Very pleased with the level of service and quality, generous breakfast and truly excellent location next to the new Acropolis Museum (closed on Mondays) and the Acropolis itself. 5 minutes walk to the Plaka. Parking garage 250 meters away but pricey. Many rooms (above 2nd floor) have view of Acropolis.

The Herodion is a great hotel to stay at in Athens. I choose this soley based on reviews and location and I am glad I did. It is very close to everything you want to see in Athens. Acropolis 5 min walk, museum is next door, plaka, syntagma both a 10 min stroll. When I read the rooms were small, I was prepared, but was pleasantly surprised that it wasnt […] that small, size wise I would compare it to a standard motel in the states, comfort-wise it would be a standard 4 star in the states. I am very pleased with the service I received from Herodion. My flight got in early in the morning, and I was able to check-in well before the check-in time. my room was clean and efficient and the staff was very friendly. Close to many restaurants and cafes. Do be warned that there is a school right behind the hotel and that can get very noisey as it seems they have recess all day, but if you are like me and not in the room very much during the day it shouldnt be a problem. The internet is not free, but it didnt cost me very much 6 Euros for 24 hours. The rooftop and 4th floor gardens are very nice and give you an excellent view of the Acropolis. My room on the 2nd floor gave me a minimal view of Acropolis and was level with the school, but it sufficed. I highly recommend to anyone traveling to Athens! Les mer

Great location. Rooms pretty good. We had a king size bed which you don't find very often, so we were happy. Breakfast was a typically European breakfast, which was fine for us. Hotel staff were professional, but not really friendly. Very business like and were not able to help with recommendations for dinners or directions. More than once they sent […] us in a completely wrong direction. Overall though it was a great hotel. Les mer

We stayed for 7 days in Greece and 5 days in Athens - all days at Herodion. The hotel's location is very good and close to Plaka. The restaurant at the hotel is not that great but it is very close to very good places around. Very comfortable stay and would definitely recommend this to others.

good service, good location and breakfast

Nice hotel in excellent location. The surrounding area is safe and well lit at nights which can't be said for many other parts of the city. Room was clean and fairly nice. The hotel staff were not overly friendly but were efficient. Only negative is the breakfast wasn't of a very high standard but would recommend overall.

I've stayed in lots and lots of hotels lately and this one takes the cake. Rally, it's a perfect location for Athens, just at the bast of the Acropolis. It's close to public transportation and withing walking distance to Parliament, and other locations. They have a roof top deck area which is nice and the Wi-Fi is above average for hotel Wi-Fi.

we came for a relaxed vacation and found an amazing, quiet hotel, just few meters from the Acropolis metro station. the room was clean, warm and beautiful, and the view was the breathtaking Acropolis. must mention the professional staff- the receptionist who kindly carried our luggage to the room (even without asking), showed us the room, explained […] about the room details and even recommended us a great Greek restaurant near by. also have to mention the bartender at the lobby who was so kind and friendly. the hotel is a few minutes walk to ancient Agora, with great cafe's and restaurants, and of course the amazing Acropolis and the Acropolis museum. Excellent breakfast (except for the fruit juices which are artificial and the coffee machine, that always lacked milk) buffet, location, staff, etc. Would definitely go back.

Very kind staff near acropolis

IIt is in a very good location, right near the new Parthenon Museum. Everything was first-rate, and the staff were outstanding.

This hotel is in a perfect location for visiting the Acropolis, Plaka, New Acropolis Museum, and other sites in central Athens. It's on the southern side of the Acropolis, a much quieter neighborhood than the other sides. The hotel is clean and well-appointed, the staff friendly and helpful, and the food in the restaurant is very good. The breakfast, […] which comes with the room charge, is ample and includes many hot dishes as well as cereal and fruit. Cannot recommend it highly enough. Les mer

From the moment we entered the Hotel, we were very reassured by the stylish and comfortable foyer and lounge area. Plenty of areas to relax, and excellent staff. Rooms clean and simple. Access to all the sights and shopping in Athens perfect, we walked everywhere.

This hotel suited us perfectly especially with respect to the many historic sites and of course shopping areas and the market place. The staff were very courteous and indeed very helpful with directions. Although not new, it was clean, comfortable with a pleasant ambience and very close to ancient sites or a cheap taxi ride if necessary. No complaints […] at all. Les mer

We enjoyed Athens immensely and this hotel was a first-rate choice. It has spectacular rooftop views of the city and the Acropolis, which is a short walk. The area is quiet and attractive within easy walking distance of sights. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were amongst the best we`ve had in Europe. We stayed at the Herodion for only one night, and we found that If we needed to stay longer it would have been the hotel to be at. It was 150 yards from the the acropolis. And yes on the roof of the hotel you can view the acropolis. It is located on a somewhat busy street and at night it can be a little noisey, but we fell asleep quickly. The staff […] was very helpful and could speak english. We didn't eat at the restaurant, because we wanted to eat at a restaurant that the locals eat at. Les mer

The hotel sits at the foot of the Acropolis and next to the Acropolis Museum. You just could not have a better location. The service is great, the lobby and roof top deck are spectacular but that is where it stops. Our room was very small and being on our honeymoon, the two single beds did not sit well with us but that is typical Europe. The food in […] the restaurant was reasonable compared to some of the places in the Plaka. Tumbs up but the rooms need a little updating. Les mer

Stayed at this hotel twice during September,2011. Perfect location for so many sights and attractions, especially views of the Acropolis from the roof-terrace, and the proximity to the brilliant Acropolis Museum (a must visit venue!) Hotel itself is a little "tired" especially the bedrooms, and the wardrobes are tiny! Reception staff aren't too welcoming...but […] the breakfast buffet is very good. Les mer

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The taxis were on strike when we got to the airport but we were directed to the train station just outside the airport by a friendly Greek lady. The train was inexpensive and arrived at the Acropolis station which was just around the corner from the Herodion Hotel, so really no need for a taxi. It is located nearby […] the Athens modern museum and handy to the Plaka and Acropolis. We found the staff very helpful. In fact, we asked for a transfer to the port as we were going on a cruise and couldn't get to the terminal without a taxi and the hotel kindly arranged this for us. Thank you very much to the staff member who put his life on the line for us, because as soon as he had dropped us off, his car was hemmed in by two cars (must have been taxi drivers objecting to us being dropped off privately) and a serious argument occurred. I do hope he wasn't injured, it sounded like he was going to be beaten up. (we had walked down to the port and could hear it happening from there). Les mer

The hotel food was excellent. The service was OK, not great. The rooms were OK. Location was very good. Internet was not good at all.

This hotel was fantastic! The breakfast was good, the location was fabulous and the staff was very helfpul. I would recommend the hotel to anyone regardless of how long you're staying in Athens. Very easy access to the metro and the airport from the hotel.

We picked this hotel sight unseen and we were so impressed. Right next door to the new Acropolis museum. The roof top deck gives you an amazing view of the Acropolis. The room was really clean, well appointed and quiet. Breakfast was terrific. Staff were patient and very helpful. They sent us to Strofi restaurant just up the street for dinner where […] we ate in the rooftop garden admiring the Acropolis at night. We had friends staying on the other side of the Acropolis in a dump in a really bad neighborhood. This hotel was not much more expensive and was an absolutely wonderful spot to stay in. Their internet connection could stand improvement, but it was nice to have access to a printer. Les mer

Staff and local people were very friendly and helpful. I frequently forgot that I was in a foreign country because of the quality of English spoken and understood by all the staff. My only complaint would be the Internet access. It was expensive and very slow; worse than dial up from the old days. It was ok for emails but forget it for reading the […] English newspapers. Google would taken minutes to load on occasion. I was disappointed not to be offered a refund. Les mer

At the foot of the Acropolis this hotel is welcoming, comfortable and tastefully appointed. It's a calming oasis in a busy, heavily trafficked tourist area. A few blocks uphill is a magnificent Athens restaurant, Sofri.

Not bad, small room compared to North American standards and basic bathroom, clean but nothing fancy, ancient looking hairdryer but it worked well. View of Acropolis from room was ok, but not perfect. Nice view from roof top with plenty of lounge chairs to sit and admire it from, didn't try the hot tub.

The hotel was next to the fantastic, new Acropolis Museum, within easy walking distance to the Plaka and the Acropolis. A wonderful restaurant, the Athine, is also within walking distance on the same street, which serves Greek specialties and has a roof garden where one can view the Acropolis while dining: good food, wine and a magical setting.
