Radisson Blu Palais Hotel, Vienna - Wien

Flott hotell og utmerket rom(Royal Club). Er stort sett veldig fornøyd utenom frokosten til Royal Club gjestene. Alt for liten sal, lite betjening og dårlig service. F.eks måtte vente lenge på bord, så ut som det ikke hadde tid til å rydde. Vanskelig å få oppmerksomhet fra personellet i froskostsalen. Dette drar hele oppholdet mye ned.

Bra beliggenhet,Frokost høyst ordinær.Stod gamle brett i gangen med kylling rester etc på i 2 dager....det var disgusting.Ikke roomservice dag 2.måtte purre på det på kvelden.

Vi var 7 som skulle delta i Wien Maraton og hotelet var perfekt mhht til beliggenhhet. Enkelt å ta undergrunn til start og gang avstand fra mål til hotelet.

Fra vi kom til inngangspartiet, og vi kom inn i hotellets foaje og ble møtt av piqolo og møte med de som sto bak innsjekkingsskranken. Veldig bra. Hyggelig atmosphære og blide mennesker. Frokosten var fin. Atmosphæren der, vennlige betjening som var behagelige og samtidige forsiktige i sin utførelse av service'en, gjorde at vi bli sittende å prate […] lenge. Hotellet har en flott beliggenhet midt i sentrum av Wien, med 5 min gåavstand til operaen, gågaten og umiddelbar nærhet til buss, trikk og t-bane. Et vanlig dobbeltrom var ikke stort, men pent innredet og med de faciliteter som forventes av et 5 stjerners hotell. Meget professjonell og god service. Check-in og out var rask og god. Behjelpelige portierer […] og generelt hyggelig hotellpersonalet. Restauranten og baren var hyggelig, og med god mat og hyggelig service. Hotellet tilbyr transfer til flyplassen med egen bil og sjåfør til en god pris (rimeligere enn drosje). Etter 4 døgn på hotellet har vi lite eller ingen ting å utsette på servicen, beliggenheten og prisen. Kan absolutt anbefales. Vi kommer gjerne igjen. Les mer

We were so impressed with staff as traveling through Vienna. We had two free days on our calendar, so we rebooked for two more nights after returning from Budapest. We were welcomed by staff and locals, as if we had been members of their families. This is a wonderful hotel! Staff were lovely and the hotel is a rather grand affair with a lovely lobby and facade. But two issues: 1. smoking. Everywhere... in the lobby, the café, downstairs, and we could smell stale smoke in our non-smoking room. It seems to be a Viennese thing, so probably isn't the fault of this hotel so much... and 2. cleaning. Our glasses (for use with […] minibar beverages) went unchanged / uncleaned for 3 days. The showers in the gym area have green algae growing in them. Our quilt cover had an oil mark on it. I could go on, but this is supposed to be a nice hotel and the basics just let it down. Les mer

The hotel location was perfect for one night in Vienna. The bathroom was dirty, especially the showercurtain. The hotelbar was too small and there was too much smoke even for smokers. The bar in the room had no vine or spirits only soft drinks.

Great location and a lovely building, however the service was very hit and miss. Some of the staff were excellent, friendly and helpful but others didn't know the meaning of customer service. We were upgraded on arrival which was a pleasant bonus, however the standard of housekeeping was dreadful until we complained. This was such a disappointing Christmas week hotel holiday, not a 5 star hotel at all. The staff were cold or rude, unhelpful and even punitive. We (4 of us) were consistently asked our room number at breakfast by a very rude Maitre D, making us feel very uncomfortable, as if we were intruders. The breakfast itself was very monotonous, dull and uninspired […] (e.g. not up to most German 5 star hotel breakfasts at all) - especially given that it was the Christmas week and nothing interesting or special was added. Coffee pots were tiny and mean and you had to fight to get a refill, unlike some wonderful hotels where staff walk around topping up hot drinks. We were told that we would get nothing to eat Christmas eve/Christmas day as we had not booked restaurants in local area and yet there was no information on hotel website or email informing us that we needed to do this before hand. Room service personel consistently knocked on our doors (we had two rooms) very early (before eight) and then were rude when we appeared sleepily in doorway. Rooms were lazily made up, PJs thrown under the foot of bed or left on top of cover in screwed balls; toilet seat was broken and kept falling off; bathroom scales broken; toiletries were never replenished and we had no soap for 3 of the days. All in all we felt very unwelcome and ambience spoilt the whole holiday. I'll never stay at a Radison Blue again. Les mer

The hotel is very conveniently located. It is within walking distance to almost all main attractions. The staff is helpful with directions, concert tickets etc. The minibar and free WiFi are added perks. Overall, the hotel provides good value for money.

We felt like we were part of a cost cutting exercise with expense trimmed at every opportunity. No robes, mini-bar slow to re-stock, slow on replenishing toiletries, no porters and all in all a very thin experience. The location was great, easy walking distance to muses and shopping. The underground stations were nearby also. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Skip the breakfast buffet. 28 euros per person is exorbitant for breakfast and there are many cafes nearby. The bed was very comfortable.

A great location, this sophisticated hotel has everything one could ask for including free wifi and minibar. The rooms are very nice and a good size and the staff are very helpful. The hotel is a credit to the Radisson brand.

The best is the piano bar with great music to eat and enjoy an evening. Good location to public transportation. They need more staff to help for arriving taxis and cars.

The rooms we were allocated were more like suites. Lovely surprise! Location great for a weekend visit - all the sights, markets and shops were walkable.

For a high end hotel it lacked some polish and attention to detail. The room was small but adequate. Service at the breakfast was sloppy and the hot buffet food was barely warm; the cost was pricey at 28 Euro per person. I would choose a different hotel next time.

Nice hotel with good service and in a good location in Vienna. Hotel food was not at the level I'd expect from a Radisson hotel...had room service one night and it was unremarkable at best.

I went with my two daughters, as we had only booked 1 room we were advised to upgrade. We did upgrade to a maisonette room @ Euro 100 extra per night [ bedroom & bathroom upstairs] roll-in bed downstairs which was pushed in under the stairs soffet, very uncomfortable. It was too dark to read down stairs, the lighting was so bad. Window could not be […] opened. Beds were made & towels changed every day no cleaning done. We arrived on Sunday staying until Friday, a plate of fruit was left for us [very nice] which we did not eat, it was not removed from room all week so by friday really bad. But i have a small (we were in eight floor, roof, half of the rooms height was a meter like) and old room (tv for ex, was the smallest and oldest one i have ever seen in a hotel room) with a small bathroom ( that has not a slippers).. Beautiful hotel, very elegant. Complimentary mini bar they restock daily! Bar was a little pricey as was breakfast, but the service was kind and helpful. Very nice gym! Good location, right on the Ringstrauss and across. The street from Stadpark.

Unfortunately I could only stay in Vienna for one night, but while I was there I could not fault any aspect of my stay, from the greeting and helpfulness of the smiling bellhop when I walked through the doors, to the standard of food provided for breakfast. And each time I returned to the hotel after being out, I was greeted with a smile from at least […] one of the busy reception staff. The hotel is a renovated building located in a very nice area if Vienna. The hotel is convenient to attractions, transportation and restaurants. Our room was small but nicely appointed and had a beautiful view of a park across the street. The hotel did provide free wi-fi internet in our room but did not provide a free breakfast.

Very elegant hotel with a great view of the park across the street. Only negatives include the inefficient air conditioning: the room remained on the warm side; and the lack of support from the hotel staff for calling our airlines during the work stoppage to check on our flight.

Was not assigned a handicapped room initially, wife's wheelchair couldn't even fit through the bathroom door. Manager finally found and released a wheelchair accessible room. Rooms were nice, but small. TV in the room did not work and looked like it was from 1970. "Free" minibar had almost nothing in it.

Stayed in several hotels and hostels over our three weeks in Europe, but this is by far the best one we stayed in! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful and the room was absolutely wonderful. It was very big and even included a free minibar that was stocked daily with soda, water and beer. Fresh fruit and some other small snacks were also delivered […] our first day. The included breakfast was incredible as well. In addition to a large and varied continental spread, they also had a menu where you could order several dishes (for free!) such as omlettes, waffles, and steak and eggs. My husband and I got a great rate on a room hear and were so excited when we checked in. It is located right on the Stadt Park in Vienna, a beautiful city green. The room was fantastic! The staff at reception were very helpful in helping us figure out where to go and what to see. There is an underground station very close by, but a lot of the most important […] things to see (St. Stephen's, the Opera House, museums) are only a 15-20 minute walk. Our time was well spent. The hotel was idealy located and was easy to find. The staff was helpful and the breakfast was excellent! The downside was that the air condition was not working properly and more English TV channels needed. Overall it was a three star hotel with a 4 star service.

Helpful receptionists - very smartly dressed. Good waitress staff in restaurant, but possibly too many employed at breakfast as some stand around doing nothing. Great pianist in foyer giving style and elegance to an already elegant hotel. Standard room was small so we upgraded to Royal Club and this was a lovely room at only 20 extra euros per night, […] which also allowed free mini-bar and a better location for breakfast on the second floor. We didn't eat here in the evening as the restaurant was on the ground floor and a bit open for us, but it was a nice looking restaurant. Faded glamour would best describe this hotel. It's probably seen better days, but still nice enough for a two night stay. Our room was a bit small (smallest of our entire European holiday, but most expensive), and older decor. The free drinks in the minibar were a nice touch, and a comfortable bed. The television could do with an upgrade. Check-in girl […] only gave us a very small map of Vienna (we asked for a larger one the next day) and also gave wrong advice regarding trams and sites. But we looked past this and found our own way around this lovely city. Umbrellas were available at reception for the rainy day, which was a nice touch. This hotel is perfectly located on the Ring, with tram stop right outside, and a few metro stations an easy walk away. Les mer

My stay turned out to be a bargain for the price I paid through Hotels.com. Upon arrival the hotel allowed my an early morning check in an upgraded me to the next highest level.
