Knott's Berry Farm Hotel - Buena Park

Right next to Knotts Berry Farm park. Very convenient. Got a little noisy at night because of the pool open late for kids. Bed uncomfortable. Easter dinner was fantastic. Two front employees-Wesly and Jeanet very friendly and helpfull.

My wife and I travel a lot for both business and personal reasons and enjoy the pleasure provided by both. We love to stay in five star resorts but have no problem spending a night or two at a local motel when circumstances make that a logical or logistical choice. We are by no means travel snobs. We chose Knotts Berry Farm Hotel because it was the […] nicest looking place in the ads close to Knott's; other chains we were familiar with were listed as four to seven miles away. We were not happy with our choice. The hotel is on the edge of Knotts and very convenient to walk to and the staff were friendly. The hotel, though nice enough to look at is very dated inside with minimal amenities and fixtures. The walls were thin and though neighbors on both sides were not being loud, the sound carried easily through. The windows are NOT soundproof and we actually laid in bed listening to conversations at poolside though we were on the third floor. The pool doesn't close until 11 PM and both nights it was full of both adults and children until after closing time. The bathrooms are small and really need to be refurbished. There was mold on fixtures and the tub and were not a pleasure to use. We should have stayed elsewhere and suggest you do too. Les mer

One of our party had an asthma attack and all the hotel personnel were very helpful--especially the security people. Tony at the front desk was also marvelous. The hotel employees make so much of a difference--I hope management appreciates them.

Staff was pleasant, accommodations were good, we'll return to stay.

I actually booked this hotel to go to disneyland the hotel has a free shuttle that is perfect it brings you there and picks you up way better than having to drive there and pay for parking..The other awesome part is i brought my kids to Medieval Times which is literally a five minute walk from the hotel it worked out perfect wouldnt stay anywhere else..And […] even though i didnt visit the knotts park it was a great view from thge hotel room..Oh ya i almost forgot the awesome heated pool and jacuzzi with the water park for the kids they loved it..All in all it was great.. The hotel staff was very friendly and willing to help. The hotel is very old and out dated and rooms are small.

This hotel was average in most regards. We were , however, very disappointed in the promised shuttle service to Disneyland. Their hours of departure and return were not what was promised on their web site.... And they really offered no excuses.

We liked it it was nice, people were helpful. It was close to Knotts. The room was ok.

Every time we go to Disneyland we stay at Knott's Berry Farm Hotel. The peolpe are nice . They have a shuttle to Disneyland. We don't go to the Knott's Berry Farm amusenment park , but we love to stay at the hotel.

The room was adequate, and the off-season price was reasonable. There wasn't a table, which would have been nice. We've been in less expensive hotel rooms that have a table and a couple chairs, which is nice when you want to eat something or do some reading or writing. The pillows were also quite thin (they were down), and I needed two of them to get […] any support for my neck. The restaurant was a little expensive, but there are so many restaurants that charge high prices just to sit in a nice room to eat. Fabulous Hotel Great Staff

I was pleasantly surprised by the condition and comfort of our room. I had read several negative reviews on this hotel in the past and had stayed away from this hotel whenever we visited Knott's Berry Farm. The location can't be beat, but the one major drawback to our visit was the price for parking. We stayed only one night, planning on visiting the […] park only one day. Check in is in the late afternoon, but we arrived at 10:00 am just when the park opened. My problem -- where to park? It was too early to check in, so I had to pay the $14 like everyone else to park in the open lot, or risk being towed from the hotel check-in parking lot and paying a lot more. After check in, I was told I needed to move my car from one lot to the lot next to the hotel, a distance of 200 feet, and then pay an additional $7. I asked for a price adjustment, maybe a $7 credit since I had already paid $14 and still had my receipt, but the clerk just looked at me as if I was "crazy." I knew from past reviews that it was useless to argue since parking seems to be the on-going scam between the park and the hotel to generate additional revenue. I resigned myself to having paid $21 for parking for one day -- almost the price of a ticket into the park -- and chaulked it up to experience -- the one bump in the road to an otherwise pleasant one-day vacation. Oh, and one other thing -- we stayed at this hotel when the weather was nice and cool. The thermostat in the room that controlled the A/C and heater was broken. Luckily for us, the normal temperature in the room was comfortable without need for either, so I didn't say anything. I would hate to have been there during the summer when an A/C unit would be almost a necessity. That would have probably required an room switch and the chance that I would have been looked at as "crazy" again by that hotel clerk. Les mer

The kids loved the "Snoopy Rooms". The rooms were clean, the room service was great and the staff was nice. The best part of the stay was when Snoopy came in to tuck the kids in at night.

We had to call security twice for noise control. We had our 6 year old son and his friend 7 both could not sleep due to noise next room. We ended up leaving at 1am and driveing over an hour home to get some rest!

Hotel is situated next to Knott's Berry Farm and several other dining/entertainment attractions, and about 8km from the first/original Disneyland theme park in Orange County, Anaheim. There has been easy accessibility to these other places, and especially ground transportation from and return to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).

The hotel was really noisy with lots of kids running up and down the halls until very late. Bed was very uncomfortable. Front desk person April was very nice and very helpful.

The hotel calls itself a Resort. However, I would hardly call it that. It's just a hotel. And it's getting a bit run-down. I have not been there before this stay. And if I had paid any more than I did, I would have felt ripped off. There was NOT a refrigerator in the room. There was NOT a microwave in the room. Wish there had been both. It would have […] made my stay there a lot nicer. The beds were not terribly comfortable. It was sort of hard and springy all at the same time. Really, I ended up with hip pain after sleeping in the bed. And they place the extra pillows in the dresser drawers, not the closet, where I expected to find them, so it took me an extra day to locate the extra pillows. The heater/air conditioner unit is a wall unit that pulls air in from the outside. Operated by a thermostat on the interior wall. When it kicked on for heat, it was VERY loud. When it was off, the cold air seeped in through the vents and made the person sleeping in the bed next to the window very cold. So, not really anywhere in-between. We had a roller coaster right outside our window. You could hear the roller coaster right outside our window very distinctly. Thankfully, it didn't run too late in the evening. We were told there was "free" internet. I wasn't too worried about that. But the front desk did not offer that information on how to use the free internet when we checked in. That might have been nice. I didn't pursue trying to get it. Husband enjoyed the fitness center. Except it didn't open until 6:00 am. He said it would have been nice if it opened a little earlier. We wanted to get an early start. Room appeared clean and tidy. But I can tell you there looked to be a smooshed bug high on our bathroom wall. I did not get close enough to investigate. I just left it alone. Aside from that, it's just a room. Nothing special. Not worth more than the price of a Super 8 or a Motel 6. Les mer

Great location although the Knotts Berry Farm hotel is older and run down. The beds are old and sagging making a good sleep uncomfortable. The heat/air/ fan in the room did not work so it was reported (in person) to the front desk - twice. We stayed 4 nights and it was never fixed, making some cold nights in the room. Food was very good at the Knotts […] Chicken house just outside of the hotel. Hotel staff didn't seem to want to go out of their way to help secure a large group reservation and neither did the restaurant staff, so I spoke with the restaurant manager, who was less interested and said it couldn't be done as they were full until 11 that morning. I explained others in our family had made a reservation without problem (hoping he might help) but still no success with this guy. So we walk over anyway and expected a long wait. To our surprise, the place was nearly empty and we were seated promptly. Disappointing reservation and service experience, but once there, all servers were helpful and friendly. The food was very good. I will not return to the Knotts Berry Farm Hotel and would recommend staying at a newer, cleaner property anywhere in that area. Les mer

Cheap construction, shower stall like a motor home. Overall tacky feel. Staff was super nice though. Not stuffy.

This was all right, but nothing more.

First thing that this place should do is replace the name "Resort" to Motel 6. Room was small but clean. The bed was hard and pillows were still flat even when folded. The shower door would barely slide. We asked for a 7am wake up call, luckily we woke up on our own because we never received a wake up call. The hotel bathroom was not clean, mold in the shower. The air conditioner was the nosies thing I have heard in a long time. impossible to sleep. The pool was freezing. We had booked with hotels.com for years and this was the worst. Oh yes the room had a queen bed and the room was so small you couldn't walk around the bed.

I read many reviews of this hotel before we booked and stayed here. We found the hotel very, very clean. The staff were very nice. The pool was GREAT! They are installing a new water feature there for kids too. It is a large fountain/spouting area. We will happily stay here again and again!

Location was great but room was like a motel nd it sells

Would be nice if hotel included a microwave and refridgerator.

Rooms need updated, still have old beadspreads that the housekeepers tuck in over the pillowcases, discusting! I ate in the hotel restaurant for breakfast and ordered blueberry pancakes, they were horrible, how do you screw up pancakes? At 3:30am, what I assumed was a delivery truck, kept his loud backing up beeping going on for 20 min. It kept me awake […] and I was on the 8th floor! Last but not least was the ridiculous daily charge for parking in a parking lot that was 90% empty! Les mer

They really need to spend a little money on the rooms. Bed is not comfortable and pillows need work. This is key as you are not in the room much when visiting all the parks. So when you do get back to the room for rest it should be comfortable.

most uncomfortable beds ever slept on. sheets had stains on them and woke up with sore back. pool was great though. arcade for my boys was horrible. half of games broken and the food wasnt good.

The hotel was very conveniently located besides Knott's Berry farm. Soak city is also close. We were able to pre-check in and park at the hotel for $7 (when I called someone said it was $14 but it is only $7 if you are staying there) which is basically 4 mins walk to the park which is about the same walking distance as regular park parking would take. […] We were able to get our room at 10am, which was well before the normal 4pm check in time that is quoted. The rooms were clean and the hotel pool area was very nice with a water play structure which our kids enjoyed. The hotel offers room service and you can pre-order your breakfast at night for the next morning if you like. The IHOP, Denny's or McDonalds are close by if you prefer that. Les mer

We'd stayed for a few days and paid extra for internet and a free breakfast package. The internet was slow, it was frustrating to access as it turns out it shared for everyone at the resort (so really we didn't had to paid the extra but ended up getting charged for it). We had thought we would get free breakfast for the whole entire stay but only got […] 1 free breakfast (option for breakfast was bacon, cold scramble eggs, cereal, it was bad)! Our room didn't have new towels, 2 days later, the garbage cans were not dump. It still remain full after the maid had came to clean up. One evening the hotel had to shut down the water supply so from 11:00 PM - 5:00 AM there were water for brushing teeth or toilet. I'd asked the manager if we need to go to the bathroom, was there an alternative? I was given an answer "no choice"..."WHAT HORRIBLE SERVICE"!! Les mer

The hotel is located next to the amusement park Knott. It is also not far to the Disney parks in Anaheim. The hotel has large rooms and is very clean.

We checked in at 22:30 the front desk did note tell us the water will be out from 2300 to 0600. We called them asking why water was out and what to do as we just checked in 22:30. Front desk lady did not apologize but asked me if we want to check out now!? It was 00:00 how could we find another hotel.! I went to buy bottled water for my three kids and […] wife and talked to the front desk in person. We were offered two bottles of water and 5 breakfast coupon. The WiFi was out for many days as I was told. Very inconvenience for we have to check in our air tickets back home. I have to run to Mac Donald to do so with my iPad. The hotel was failed to maintain essential things for customers where staff were all arrogant. As a foreigner how would I know S Cali does not have Safeway for more than 20 years. Only someone trapped in SC for 20 years would know that. If I know SC , I do not have to stay in their hotel! Les mer

I guess if you main reason for staying at this hotel was for proximity to Knotts Berry Farm it couldn't have been better, as it was literally accross the back alley but.... Front end staff, and I mean all except for the bell hop gent who was delightful and the most helpful, were all quite grumpy and short with you. Front end staff almost seemed put […] out when you would ask for directions or information. This was very disappointing as we had just come from another hotel close to Disneyland and we were made to feel like familly while we were there. House keeping seemed short staffed and so ran behind and had a hard time completing their job. consequently the short staffing lead to spider webs hanging from the computers in the lobby to everything like a counter or a phone feeling like it needed a good wash. This included the lounge chairs at the pool. The pool and area was tidy and towels available but the loungers all looked like they needed a good scrub. Les mer

If you want the ease of walking to the park this is the place to stay. Don't stay here if you are expecting a resort quality room. This is the second time I have stayed here and both times my bathroom had mold in it and the floor were not the cleanest. I was also let down by the water temp in the pool. It is also nice to be so close to the park that you can walk back and forth anytime you want a break. I have read the reviews on this site prior to staying at this hotel. Some is true, some people need to relax. This is an old theme park and it is not Disney. The staff was friendly and great, the hotel has recently been redone and the rooms are La Quintaish. That being said, there are 1,000,000 kids coming through that hotel everyday during the season. […] I believe that for what the hotel goes through it is perfect. Just go with that in mind. The restaurant on the other hand, stay away unless you are just going for Nachos. Service was bad, food was average or below, but priced like your buying it in the park. There are too many choices around the hotel to suffer through "Amber Waves". Les mer

This hotel was very close to Knott's Berry Farm Park. You could walk right over, however, you have to walk through the back parking lot, no direct sidewalk and not well lit. We stayed in one of the Snoopy rooms. The Snoopy rooms are in a separate hallway from the standard rooms. The hallway has a dated feel to it and so did the rooms. The room was […] clean, but the linens were dated. Ours had a stain or two on the bedspread. The beds were quite firm for a hotel. The real disappointment was that they charged us $7 for parking in the hotel lot. Les mer

We found the hotel to be basic. It is nothing to write home about. The room was clean and the amenities were average. The one thing this place has going for it is that it is within an easy walk to the KBF entry, the Chicken Dinner Restaurant, and the Marketplace shops. There's lots of stuff to do nearby, and more places to eat (ranging from fast food […] to dinner theater) within a very short drive. The resort hotel is serviceable, just don't expect a whole lot.
