Greitt og forholdsvis sentralt hotell til en gunstig pris. Lavt belegg og rolig da vi var der, men forstod det var lytt da det kom familie med barn i etasjen over oss. Continental frokost der søte alternativer var i flertall. Ingen servering på hotellet utover dette. Forbedringspotensialet må være betjeningen i resepsjonen. Her var det sjelden et smil og få. De aller fleste så ikke på oss eller hilste på oss da vi passerte. Men alt ialt et godt opphold.

over all this is a great location if you are staying or working in the arden fair area. I thought it would be noisey but it was quite. I would stay there again.

The room was very musty smelling and didn't have the convience of a small refrigerator nor a small microwave we have stayed in other places always had those accommodation . '
"Not Recommended"
The hotel staff was friendly. I stayed for two days and had to request for clean towels several times and my room was not serviced when I left for hours I came back to the room not being cleaned on both days. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. I was not happy with the service.

"bathtub ceilling leaking"
the bathtub ceilling was about to fall through, they need to remodel the whole hotel, the only nice part was the comfort of the beds! staff was very nice. they had to move us because of the ceilling was about to fall in in the bathroom, not safe! restuarant was only open in the morning for breakfast and at 5pm for dinner, we were there for training […] about 150 people and had to go down the street for lunch on a busy saturday Les mer
"Hotel is old but comfortable"
When you drive up you are in for a bit of a shock. The hotel is at the end of the parking lot of a large mall (Arden Fair), and kind of a hassle to get in to. But that makes for a very quiet location, so I was fine with it. When you get to the hotel you see a ton of rooms, but not many cars. Maybe I was just there at an off time, but it looked like […] 90% vacancy! The lobby is beautiful, but the rooms are very old and need upgrading... the paint is a bit chipped, they still have the old box TV's, and little things like that. But overall it was very comfortable and a nice place to stay. Two main complaints... the heater unit was VERY loud, and kind of startled me every time it came on, and the rooms open to the outside. For privacy and security I prefer a hotel where the rooms open into an interior hall. But overall it was nice and I would stay there again. Les mer

The hotel is conveniently placed to the nearby mall and large convention facilities at the DoubleTree across the road. However, my room was a bit careworn: the bathroom door didn't shut, the coffee "maker" sort of just barely worked (about 45 minutes to make a cup of coffee), and the louver window in the bathroom didn't shut all the way, making things […] a bit drafty. "Red Lion in Sacramento"
This was an unpleasant experience. The check in took an inordinate amount of time for a Hotels,com arrangement. All kinds of ID, a backup credit card, which was used for a deposit and then a room in a far off building. The check out was great.

For such a big hotel we were very disapointed that there was NO HOT TUB. Everything else was fine but when we got there they tried to give us a queen size bed even though we paid more for a King so watch out for that.

"Okay"
When I booked the room I expected there to be a flat screen t.v. (shown in the picture) It looked like it was either stolen or broken...(flat screen wall mount was still on the wall) instead we had a tiny older t.v. Everytime we came back to the room in the evening, there was security blocking the entrances telling us to find another way. "My stay at Sacramento Red lion"
For the most part I had an okay stay. They really need to do something about their security, as a small riot broke out on the premises and the cops were called at 3 in the morning. No explanation was given or ammends were offered for us staying there and for this happening.
"Great location, not so great room"
This is not a 3 star hotel to me, it's a 2 star, always remember you get what you pay for. I got a good deal and of course that explains a lot, next time I will pick something in the mid price range instead of the low price range. "Shower head"
Great hotel! VERY nice & elaborate lobby. The resturaunt was a little pricey, but none the less it was a great hotel. The shower head didn't work properly. Most of it was spraying up towards the ceiling.
"Omfg. Will never stay again."
Don't be fooled by the pictures. Does NOT LOOK like anything in the picture. When we first entered, the lobby looked fabulous. Easy check in and when we got to the hotel, it was dead and there was no car around. The key took about 10 minutes to work. When we finally got in, the room smelled like mold... Dirty towels on the ground and hair allll over […] the bedsheets. Need I say more? The hotel has its convenience because there is the mall and close food. But other than that, the inside of the hotel was disgusting. I forgot my lotion and I called the front desk and the lady tells me to wait a minute to see if she has any available. She then tells me that she does and tells me to go and get it. Our hotel was far on the other side of the hotel. And I just said nvm. Overall the stay was horrible and I couldn't sleep because of the smell. Annoyed. Irritated. Disgusted. Don't waste your money. Les mer
"Not bad for price"
The other hotels guests seemed a little shady, but it was actually fine. I was afraid it was going to be too rowdy, but it quieted down. It was right next to the mall, which was nice. The Punchline was only one mile down the road, so it was convenient to get a taxi to and from our event. Again, not too bad for the price.

"Do not stay here."
When I arrived the registration area was very nice. The young lady booking me into the hotel was not friendly. She was very quick to give me the keys and send me on my way. I was happy to see that she booked me into a corner room. When I walked in I noticed that the closet door and light over the sink was broken. The screen door was torn. It looked […] like the room was half remodeled and half not. I went to my seminar the next morning and accidently left the privacy tag on my door. When I arrived my room was not cleaned. I called the front desk and they said they would send the maid right away. I left the room for 5 hours and when I came back the room was not cleaned. I called again and they explained that they could possibly call the maid. It sounded like she was already at home. By then it was 9:00 and I did not want to wait again. She said that she would call me back and compensate me some way. She never called. I will not stay at a Red Lion again. Les mer
"Needed this hotel for the FE Exam for Engineers"
This hotel served its purpose. My boyfriend was taking the Fundamentals of Engineering exam at CalExpo and I went along with him for support. We drove up from San Francisco to Sacramento and ate at a restuarant nearby. We checked into the hotel around 10PM. The room was supposed to have a refrigerator and microwave but I guess that's only in their extended […] stay part. The hotel has a nice pool which I spent the day at while my boyfriend took his exam and is right next door to a mall. The parking lot that night was a little sketchy but there was a security guard in the parking lot making sure he knew who was a guest and who wasn't. The room itself was clean, the bed comfortable, and the bathroom very up to date. They even had Bath and Body Works shower stuff. The staff let me leave my bags at the front desk while I shopped and laid out at the pool. If you have to go to Sacramento and need a hotel, I would recommend this place. Les mer
It was too noisy and the hotels should have an elevator for elderly people to go up, not an old stairs.
"Red Lion Hotel in Sacramento, CA at Arden Village"
This hotel and furniture are older. The service was good and the staff members were responsive to our needs. We liked that the hotel allowed pets so we could keep our dog with us and we found a nice dog park nearby. The hotel was easy to find and was situated next door to a nice mall. We walked there in the evening for dinner.

my boyfriend and i booked the red lion hotel pretty last minute and got a nice deal for a wednesday night. we weren't expecting much because it had been so cheap but it turned out to be a great room. the linens were clean and the bed was so comfortable. i have stayed in many hotels in sacramento, some great, some not and this one definitely falls in […] the former category. the thermostat was a great relief since it was so hot and it was not some crappy air conditioner and there was a sliding door that went out to a patio with chairs which was a very unexpected surprise. overall it was a great experience and will most likely be staying there again! The hotel is on the nice location and the front desk are nice. Restaurant is great but the jinator did not clean my room. When I got back from my meeting around 8:30PM no clean, no shampoo, no towel, I had to call front desk to send someone to come and clean for me. Pleasantly surprised by the nice bathroom and comfortable beds. Slightly outdated materials and some needed maintenance keep this hotel's ratings down but it is a good value in the heart of the Arden shopping area.

Perfect location to access entire Sacramento area. Quick trip to the airport. Next to major mall. The restaurant is outstanding, but never crowded. We have been here over 3 weeks, and always had a very good meal. Wait staff very friendly. The "700 Building" has very large rooms, exercise room, and keyed access to the building. nice place and nice location, but it seriously needs work. lots of things were broken or needed replacing. the big sign out front says "under new management". i am thinking of my favorite Who song "meet the new boss, same as the old boss"

Red Lion is restoring their Inn. Formerly it was the Sacramento Inn. Conveniently located. I recommend the 700 building. The amenities are clean and the pool is delicious. One can pre-pay breakfast with their reservation and is a sit-down wait staff served breakfast from a menu. There is a laundry and a bar. It's accross the street from Cal Expo and […] convenient to everywhere and situated with direct access to the Arden Fair Mall. Very nice location. "near Arden Fair Mall"
The hotel was priced well and the pool was great, there was a DJ and bar pool side. I am not sure if they do that certain nights. I wish there was a spa but for the price I can't complain. Room was clean and descent. If you want to shop it's walking distance from the mall, which is great. A few sketchy people in the parking lot but that's the city.

As always, the staff were very courteous and helpful. They upgraded us to a quieter area of the hotel. The room was clean and comfortable. The internet hook up was easy. This is our hotel when we visit the Sacramento area.

The only complaints I have on this recent stay is that there were pubic hairs all over the bathroom wall and ceiling. "The Red Lion in Sacramento at Arden Way"
An amazing resort in the middle of chaos. The hotel wasn't full but the facilities were wonderful and the management brought me a fridge when I asked. The pool was perfect and the huge mall next door a true bonus. The hotel even included a full breakfast at their restaurant. So nice we stayed 2 nights instead of 1!
"A Little Run Down"
The room did not have a bathtub. It was not in great repair and shows its age. Had to ask for more towels on third day as each day the maid left fewer and fewer towels. Did not like that the front desk took $25 from our debit account without asking "just in case there were incidentals." Tell me that there are incidentals, then I'll charge it to my card. […] Don't "just in case" and refund later. On the plus side, we got a free night. As well the made-to-order free breakfast was fabulous. "Red Lion Inn - My Worst Experience Ever"
I checked into Room 517 on Wednesday afternoon. That evening, I discovered the floor lamp next to the desk was inoperative. I called the desk staff and informed them that I would like to have it repaired. Upon returning from the day’s activities late Thursday afternoon, the lamp was still inoperative. Again, I called the desk, and they dispatched an […] “engineer” to the room. After one failed attempt, he returned with a different lamp. Early on Friday morning, I arose to discover a five foot area of water-soaked carpet which encompassed part of the bathroom entrance. The source of the water was the air conditioning unit. The pair of socks I was wearing also became water-soaked. I went to the front desk and explained the situation to your staff. She was supportive, and I moved myself into Room 519. However, I experienced difficulty accessing the room because the key/locking mechanism was not working efficiently. I checked out of the hotel on Saturday and returned home late that afternoon to discover I was missing an article of clothing. In my haste to move into 519, I left a pair of shorts in 517. I made efforts to retrieve the item, but at this writing I have not heard back from their housekeepping manager. Les mer

While my room was clean and the hotel was in a very convenient location, much of the hotel appeared to be closed-hopefully undergoing renovation. The staff was courteous and the pool area was beautiful, but the bathrooms need updating as does much of the outer part of the hotel. "Second stay at Red Lion"
Because of the price, convenience and free breakfast of our first stay at the property, we booked two more nights through hotels.com. A large section of the motel was closed off because they were doing some renovations and they put us in a room that was even inferior to the first one we stayed in. They also told us that breakfast wasn't included because […] we booked online. None of the outlets and most of the lights in the room didn't work, so they 'upgraded' us to a different building. The room was a bit nicer and had a tiny refrigerator sitting on the floor. The outlets worked and so did the lights! They also gave us vouchers for free breakfast to compensate for our inconvenience. But the ice machine in the building didn't work. And the pillows were still tiny. Les mer
