Goodwood Park Hotel - Singapore

This is the second oldest hotel in Singapore, giving the outside facade an old world charm. The room we had was completely modern and well appointed. Excellent staff and a short walk to the MRT and Orchard Road.

I checked in on Christams Day morning and was welcomed by very friendly staff who made my check-in very comfortable and grand. We decided to invite a couple of friends over for a few drinks and dinner. (there were about 5 of us) So at 7 they all came, and honestly we were just talking in the room and a manager comes knocking and sternly tells us that […] we are too loud and asked many questions like 'how many people are here? and 'If the noice level goes up, we have to ask your guests to leave!' Then, I asked if the walls were sound proof at all. And they said no! SO, just a laugh a little bit louder than the norm would be considered NOISY. Now, we are mature adults who know how to behave well. If we were making that much noise, I would not even bother to write this review. I feel that the management fail to realise that we are hotel guests and have paid to stay here. As much as you want to ask us to be quiet, there is a proper way of doing it. Either they are not trained or basically have no manners. It is my problem if I want to call people to the room and you have no right to ask my guests to leave unless they were ruthless. I am disappointed to a certain extent and did not expect such service from a well-established hotel. Les mer

My friends and I booked a room to celebrate christmas eve and the location was great as it is only a few mins walk down to orchard road's main shopping belt. The hotel looked very grand from the outside so i was a little disappointed that the rooms did not look that posh. The room was like any average room except that it had a small balcony and a few […] chairs which was good since we had many people coming for the party. In a city where service is excellent, the Goodwood Park Hotel has some of the best service at any hotel I have ever stayed at. The rooms were clean and comfortable but on our second stay there, there was a musty, mildewy smell permeating the entire east wing south of the fitness center.

Even tho i pick the cheapest room. The room ambience was really fantastic. Will def come back for weekends again.

The Goodwood Park is nestled close to the shopping malls, the MRT to go almost anywhere for sightseeing and restaurants. Explore the neighbourhood, the old and new buildings all intermingling. The hotel was clean and well maintained, though the garden pool area was infested with mosquitoes - quite annoying particularly if you just wanted to sit for […] a bit. You can feel the history of this place.

We felt the Goodwood Park Hotel was living on its former glory rather than providing a high quality of service. Having travelled in the Far East for the last 2 months we were very disappointed to be told that our room would not be ready for another 2 hours and they could upgrade us but we would have to pay the difference (we were early but ...). The […] receptionist was curt and unhelpful. This was the first time in 60 days worth of travel that this happened. The Goodwood was the most expensive hotel we stayed in but low down on the list of our favourites. The internet was available but at an extortionately high price and everything seems expensive even by Singapore standards. The pools were quite nice but very few loungers so no chance to relax. Good location and ambiance. It is an old mansionwith a modern addition which makes it a pleasant alternative to the high rise hotels around. Rooms were spacious and comfortable and the staff have been consistently friendly and the concierge very helpful on our three stays there. It is easy to access Orchard road from there and the MRT station for easy […] travel around Singapore. The local food and Western high teas were good value and the local food was authentic in taste. Very good quality hotel. Great situation. Nice & quiet. Only problem was that the air conditioning was very cold and did not appear to respond to altering the thermostat. Outside was 30+ deg but very cold inside. Would stay again.

We really couldn't fault anything. Staff and facilities were excellent. A little bit of a walk to the MRT but worth the peace and quiet of being out of a main street. IM, Australia. Beautiful pools!

This hotel is wonderful. Close to all good shopping. The hotel itself is like entering into another world. After all the hustle and bustle of Singapore and Orchard Road, it is quiet and peaceful. Staff are attentive, the food is delicious. and the whole atmosphere is luxurious and relaxing. The garden is beautiful.

Staff was very friendly and assisting. we received a good room, although it looks that the hotel needs a renovation.

Stayed there for a few nights, great location, beautiful building, great restaurants, good pool (2), hugh room with balcony some room needs up grading. Tthe bed is too soft and No free Wi Fi anywhere in the hotel. In fact no free Wi Fi generally unless registered, but process seems troublesome.

welcome with friendly staff. Room was clean and comfortable. convenience for shopping. Have a wonderful Chinese restaurant.

We used to live in Singapore but were relocated elsewhere. Having rented out our place, we have had to stay at a hotel for the long weekend that we went back. The room is spacious, clean, has all the amenities we required and my son was very happy. If we were to stay in a hotel again, we wouldn't hesitate to pick this one.

This is an elegant, vintage hotel dating back to colonial times. While it has every modern accoutrement, it also has a century-old charm and style. It's not a typical high-rise structure but probably has as many rooms as one -- so be prepared to do a considerable amount of walking to get to your room.

設備、環境、サービスともすばらしかった。特にスタッフの方たちは親切、丁寧、いつも笑顔があった。街の中心部に近くてとても便利、その割には緑が多くてくつろげる。価格も驚くほどリーズナブル。不満な点は、窓を開けると下の厨房から料理の臭いが部屋に入ってくることと、部屋のコンセントやテレビのリモコンが壊れるというような設備が若干老朽化していること。料理については、大みそかにプールの前のレストランでフレンチディナーを頂いたが、雰囲気はすばらしい、味は７０点ぐらい。

年末年始、家族で宿泊しました。 予約したのは "Park lane split level studio" を3泊。 これはホテル本館から従業員通路の様な道を抜け、 ホテル裏の駐車場を歩いて横切り、 別棟のアパートに異動するというモノ。 ホテルのサイトを含め、説明には詳細は記載なし。 この時点で、 子供が居る家庭の安全性、 そして、寛ぎたいというNeedsへのホスピタリティに、 大きく疑問を持ちます。 更に、31日の大晦日、 年明け1日の朝6時頃まで、 5つ扉を隔てた部屋で、インド人の若者がどんちゃん騒ぎ。 夜中、何度もクレームを入れるも、 結局、マネージメント出来ずに状況に変化なし。 翌朝、 「本館に別の部屋をご用意します」と言うも、 移ってみると、予約した部屋よりグレードの低い部屋。 これは、あり得ない対応。 別日程で同宿した知人は、Pool […] side suite に宿泊。 ここは居心地が良いと思う。 但し、彼らは同ホテルに数十年前から通う、所謂常連。 立地は良いが、 「ホテル」としての総合力では大きく問題。 使いなれた常連が、 SGの地図や同宿の環境を良く理解した上で、 上手に使うのには良いかも知れませんが。。。 基本的にはお勧めできません。 Les mer

①ダブルベッドルームを予約したが、ツインベッドの部屋に案内された。部屋の変更を要請したところ、5分以上放置されて予約所定のダブルベッドの部屋に案内された。 ②部屋に設置された目覚まし付き時計が、30分ほど遅れていたこと気づかず、迎えに来た同僚に起こされた。 この時計の時間設定は、外装を開けなければ直せない代物でした。なおかつアラームも設定した時間になっても時刻が点滅するだけでアラームがならなかった。 クーレムを申し出た所、夕方、テルに戻ったら、日本語でのお詫びのレターとフルーツの盛り合わせが届けられていた。 伊勢丹の近くで表通りに面しながら道路の騒音や廊下からの雑音も聞こえず、それ以外は問題なく快適に過ごせました。

新しいホテルでも大型のホテルは好きではないので いつも中型から小型ホテルを利用していますがその中でもシンガポールのグッドウッド・パークホテルはかなり満足度の高いホテルです。フロントなどのスタッフの対応も良い。清潔で朝食もリーズナブルで良いです。街中にありながら静かですしMRT駅にも近くて便利です。

前回ハイティーが気に入ったので シンガポール二回目で利用させて頂きました。 立地はオチャード交差点から徒歩５分程度！ バス停も近くなのでメチャメチャ便利！！ いろんな所へお出掛けし放題でした。 ホテルとしてはラッフルズと同様コロニア調で とてもかわいらしく清潔で気に入りました。 ハイティーもサンドイッチ等が多く ケーキ類をあまり食べない私でも楽しめました。 残念だったのは お部屋から廊下の音が聞こえ過ぎ 朝から騒音で起こされました。。 またアメニティの中にハブラシセットがない。 ホテルに着いたのが深夜だったのに 近くのコンビニまで買いに行きました。。 これから宿泊される方はハブラシセット持参を おすすめ致します。 空調は寒すぎもなく暑すぎもなくちょうどよかったです

部屋からそのままプールサイドに出られ、子供たちは大満足でした！また買い物にも出やすく立地もよいと思います。ホテル全体のたたずまいがレトロで のんびり滞在できました。

買い物に便利なロケーションに有り周囲の環境も素晴らしいと思った。 しかし、寝具やバスローブが湿っており不快であった。また、エアコンの温度調節も効かずセットされてある寝具だけでは寒い状態であった。 また、アメニティーセットの中に歯ブラシが無いのは常識なのだろうか。 スタッフの対応も一見普通のようであるが言葉の不十分な客への対応への面倒くささも垣間見られた。

Junior Suiteに２泊しました。ソファセット、テレビのある部屋とダブルベッドのある部屋あり、リクエストした追加ベッドはソファのある部屋にありました。テーブルにはウェルカムフルーツが用意されていました。トイレ付きのシャワールームが２つ。窓からは熱帯雨林独特の葉の大きな木が見え、ホテルの外の賑やかな雰囲気とは一変、落ち着いていて、着いた早々こんな素敵な環境に恵まれた事に感謝！！荷物を部屋まで運んでくれ、案内してくれたことに対するチップが直ぐ用意出来ない事を詫びると「心配ご無用」との返事で安心。ハイティーの予約は日本にいるうちに取ることを勧めます。夕飯をホテルの中華料理店でプールサイドのテーブルを予約。予約後、予約確認が必要のようです。食事は席に着いてからセットメニューを頼み、日本人が違和 […] 感を感じない美味しい味だと思います。雰囲気も良く、給仕の方も気軽に話しかけてきてくれました。又、フロントに頼みホテル送迎付きのユニバーサルスタジオツアーをアレンジして貰い正解でした。ホテルまでは地下鉄の駅から荷物を持っての移動は大変なので個人旅行の方はシャトルバスかタクシーが便利です。ホテルからのシャトルバスはないので帰りは出発２時間前に空港に着くタクシーをフロントで予約して貰いました。普段、我儘な私ですが、３日間不愉快な思いをした事は一度もありませんした。 Les mer

お部屋は広く、寝心地の良いベッド、おいしい朝食 全てが快適です

ホテルのクローゼットに忘れ物をし、途中プーケットに行く飛行場で思い出し、後日受付まで取りに伺うことをハウスキーピングに話ていたにもかかわらず、夫が取りに行くと日本人女性スタッフに「ない」といわれる。 かなり日本人のチェックインが多かったせいかもしれないが、かなり後回しにされ、タクシーで３０分も待っていた私が待ちきれなくなり 「早くしてよ！」と叱ると 「ありました・・・」と言って持ってきた。 チェックインをしてる日本人の手配も手伝いをしていましたが後手後手のようで　 だめだね・・・という評価。

クリスマス時期にいったので、街のイルミネーションがきれいで、特にホテルのイルミネーションが素敵でした。 ホテルの方もとても良くしていただき、充実したホテルライフが出来ました。 ただ、部屋の壁が薄いのか、隣の部屋の音が結構聞こえてきたのが、少々気になりました。

シンガポールの高層アメリカタイプのホテルと違い、低層でゆったりとしており、どのレストランも美味しく、プールも２つあり、ゆっくり過ごせた。
