Nice rooms with micro and refrigirator. Beautiful surroundings, with palms and hammocks between. No beach, and would not recomend swimming in the ocean there. Instead go to Anne's Beach on Islamorada. Pool is nice. Free breakfast is very sparse. Overall a good hotel

Lite hotell med vennlig betjening. Den prrivate badestranden var liten og kunstig lagd i en lagune med stillestående vann, ikke spesielt innbydende å bade i. Det var også et lite svømmebasseng på området. Solsenger og stoler var tilgjengelig uten kostnad. Området var lite, skjermet og fredfullt. Bra beliggenhet med kort avstand til restaurant og forretninger. Rommet var godt utstyrt med alle nødvendige hjelpemidler og en stor TV skjerm. Frokost var inkludert i romprisen. Et greit og rimelig alternativ.

"Romantic hotel"
Beautiful hotel. Our room was upgraded but we choose to pay for an upgrade to an oceanfront room. It was a splurge for us but it was only one night. I only wish we could have stayed longer. There is so much to take advantage of but we didn't have time. We loved the room, the staff was very nice, food was delicious. Expensive but worth it.
"Cheeca - great with kids"
We were there for April break and had a great time. There was plenty for everyone to do - our kids are 14 and 15 - and they had a great time. Within walking distance from Cheeca were a couple of great restauarants as well.
"Overpriced undeserved"
When one goes to a top notch resort you expect the little things to go well. Valet and check in went well. No early breakfast for fisherman? No late night room service? New design of "tiki bar" has you looking at a tv and not at the beautiful ocean. Concierige not open or available until 9 am. Front desk could not arrange transportation to airport. A lot of money, without breakfast. All the services very expensive. Be careful with the type of room you chose. I comitt a mistake because the photos in internet of the rooms are very diferent to the real once.

Cheeca Lodge was splendid! From the moment we drove up to the entrance and were greeted by name with lovely flutes of champagne to the excellent service in the dining rooms to the exquisite room - we were in heaven! We have recommended this hotel to others already and hope to return someday for a longer stay!

"Great Oasis!"
Cheeca was our little break for one day/night to driving to our ultimate destination, Key West. The rooms were very well kept and comfortable. The bathroom room was gorgeous with multiple shower heads and jet and a seperate soaking tub. The service was fantastic from the beginning when we checked in. "Nice Stay"
We stayed only one night on our way to Key West, but had enough time to ride the resort bikes around the property and down to the beach. The grounds and the beach are beautiful and very well kept. The staff were also helpful and friendly. The room had a strong anteseptic odor when we arrived, but other than that we really liked the room and the hotel. During our stay, we never had hot water when we were ready to shower. We had to call maintenance 5 times. They never got the phone system to work. The hostess at the restaurant didn't know where the bar was. She said she had only been there for a week. For 600 plus per night we were very disappointed in the service and attitudes of the staff. Turndown […] service consisted of 2 chocolates and our bed turned down. No removal of dirty towels and replace with clean towels for the morning. Les mer

I checked the weather ie temperture forecast, but never thought to check wind cond. (Not hurricane season). It blew 15-20 knots for the entire stay. Did not snorkel, jet ski or get in the water at all.

"Beautiful Setting"
THe gardens were terrific, the facility is beautiful, the room was very nice and clean and comfortable. the only issues were maintainence ones. the air conditioning did not work for 2 days, the WiFi didn't work for 2 days and the bubbles in both of the hot tubs never worked. The maintainence people were nice and fast but needed more parts. Overall […] Terrific. Les mer

It was a great experience from the moment we arrived. The room was elegant, the food was delicious. We ate at the tiki bar and it was so beautiful! The bartender made a wicked strawberry margarita! Breakfast on the beach was tranquil and again the waitstaff was wonderful. I will definitely come back.

This was our first time at the Cheeca. The staff and hotel were wonderful. We stayed in the main building which was totally renovated a few years back, the premier suites and the main building are beautiful. I can't speak to the other buildings/rooms but I can say that the grounds are impeccably kept so I would assume the other rooms are in great shape […] too. There a a bunch of small restuarants all within a few miles north or south of the hotel that would fit everyone's tastes and budgets which seems to be a great thing about Islamorada. Go and Enjoy! The staff were overall aloof and un-concerned. The room while nice had two queen beds which allowed access to either bed from only center aisle provided by the night stand. The rate was somewhat of a tease as they added a resort fee per day of $39.00. We did not really use the resort fee features so the fee built the room rate past a value point.

Just spent 5 nights at Cheeca and enjoyed it. Be careful about one thing: I booked a "premier king suite" initially and found out upon arrival that it was one room (no separate sitting area, not even a divider) with a gigantic beautiful bathroom. We have a 9-year-old so we asked to switch room. The staff was nice and helpful. We ended up in an ocean […] front one bedroom suite with a reasonable upgrade charge. We had a great time at this property. From check in to check out, the staff was great. Lots of fun things to do. Great location, lots of fun small restaurants in the area. Loved the Green Turtle and Morada Bay Cafe. Both within walking distance. The hotel arranged for snorkeling on the reef. Nice 2 hour trip. The watersport tiki hut near the pier was […] staffed with really nice and helpful people. The pools had plenty of towels and fresh water available. Great stay! Les mer

"Cheeca Lodge- nice hotel but POOR service"
HOtel was very nice however service was horrible; we waited 20 minuites fo ra waitress to tellus they were out pf a particular beer, our room was not made up twice and we had to call both days to have room made up, wait staff around pool was unfriendly and again took long time for drinks. For the amount of rooms booked there should be more seating around […] pool or more shaded areas on beach. Great location and we appreciated all included ammenities. Les mer

Was suprised the Pink & Blue artificial sweetner in the room was brown. We open 8 to 10 packets before we decided they were all very old. The second day we didn't receive clean hand towels and wash cloths. We ordered two double beds and when we arrived they gave us a double bed and couch fold out. We were very dissapointed and the cost of food was very […] expensive. Breakfast was $125.00 for 5 people, 3 adults and two little children. This hotel is like a paradise. Hotel property is landscaped to provide a lush, tropical look--just like Hawaii. Service is excellent. We took the snorkel trip provided by the hotel and visited two reefs that were great. Most wonderful check-in (champagne included) of all time.

I highly recommend the Cheeca to anyone who is traveling to the Florida Keys. I am a native Floridian and have visited the Keys many times but my first visit to the Cheeca will have me returning on my next visit. Our suite was lovely and was made up twice each day. The staff was friendly and accomodating. We did not eat in any of the restaurants so […] I cannot comment on them, however we ordered drinks from the tiki bar and found the prices to be reasonable. The pool is terrific and the activities are ample. Anyone not familiar with the Florida Keys, please note that the Keys are not known for white sandy beaches. "Perfect Islamorada location!"
We wanted a beautiful place in the Keys to stay while attending a wedding. We couldn't have chosen a better venue. Everything was very nice, the grounds were perfectly manicured, and the service that we experienced was excellence. Our room was in one of the outer buildings but was beautifully decorated with an elevator from the parking below.

Love this hotel and wouldn't stay anywhere else. From the champagne at check in, the clean and comfortable rooms, water sports, good food and drinks, very friendly and staff etc. My husband and I totally enjoyed ourselves. Can't wait to go back!
"Amazing Stay!"
My husband and I stayed in a double queen room on the golf course, and even though it wasn't ocean views, it was still beautiful. The pools and oceans were a 30 second walk from our room, the service was prompt, the grounds were beautifully maintained, the free kayak rentals (among other things) were so much fun, and the bartender/manager of the Tiki […] bar was one of the nicest people we've ever met. I have nothing bad to say about our stay here at the Cheeca, and I can't wait to return. The whole trip was wonderful and relaxing. You must try their new sushi restaurant as well, the sushi chef really knows his stuff (I'm not a seafood eater, and he made me an amazing sushi roll with steak and asparagus). I've read complaints about the beaches and how they're too rocky/too much coral, or that you can't get in them. Yes, it is a bit rocky, but it's so shallow that you can tell which places to avoid. The staff was prompt with shuttles, food and drink, and room service. The drinks prices are a bit high, but they are using top shelf liquors, and they're poured properly. We didn't bring our daughter with us, but we will next time for sure. The Cheeca seemed to be great for families. We found such an amazing rate on this website, I definitely plan to use them again. wonderful hotel, the only problem for our family was the food. We didn't eat at the hotel because the menu was not kid friendly. The food is very expensive, but most food is in the Keys.

A great place for a quiet getaway. My wife and I celebrated our 30th Anniversary at the Cheeca and had a great time. The grounds and the rooms were gorgeous. I felt like I was back in Hawaii. The Champaigne at check-in was a nice touch. We stayed in a King Suite near a lagoon. The suite had prettty much a full kitchen, with refrigerator and dishwasher. […] The screened in balcony was a great place to read the complimentary newspaper and have a cup of complimentary coffe in the mornings. Plenty of amenities. You can book snorkel, sailing, fishing and sunset cruise excursions right on the beach. The food at the restaurants were ok, at best. However, there are several really nice restaurants nearby. We drove to Key West one of our days there. It takes about 1 hr 40 min to get to Key West from the Cheeca.. Les mer
My husband and I have stayed at the Cheeca before its renovation.... Number 1 Plus is the mattresses on the bed - never had a more comfortable sleep. Negative - the receptionist at the spa - went to find out where to go to change our clothes (we stayed after check out and hotel informed us we could shower/change at the spa when done since already checked […] out). The receptionist at the spa treated us very rudely and made us feel we were more of an imposition to her since we were not there for SPA treatment. I was very embarrased the way we were treated in front of her "Real" customers. Les mer

Everything was great and we were treated very well during our stay. We had a late flight on the day of our departure and requested a late checkout. Well even though they were only at 30% capacity they advised us that we needed to be out of the room no later than 12:00pm as they had other guests scheduled for our room. "Gorgeous Hotel on Islamorada"
I traveled here with two friends from college for a mini-reunion/girls getaway, and this seemed like the perfect place. The resort looks much more spread out on a map than it is in real life, so despite the fact that our room was on the golf course. The rooms were very nice and spacious, and the resort fee, while not cheap, definitely included a lot […] of amenities which are normally extra (water, use of kayaks, other sport equipment) so we didn't have any issues with it. We ate a snack each day by the adult pool and lunch each day outside by the pool bar and the food from both was great and not super overpriced. We didn't have any dinners at the resort, instead opting to try some of the local restaurants. We went to Islamorada Fish Company, Morada Cafe (which was my favorite food-wise), and one more place I can't remember but was also on the water. Les mer

"Room Noisy"
The A/C fan went off every half hour or so. It was very loud. We had to adjust the TV volume every time it ran. The loud A/C fan kept us up most of the night. I'm glad we only spent one night however the facility and the service were wonderful.

The Cheeca Lodge is very nice, however, the level of service that we received was very good. There were long waits for service and some just seemed annoyed that we were bothering them at all. The location and facilities are great, but the service doesn't live up to the same level.

"Best vacation to date"
My husband and I found Cheeca online. The reviews cannot do this place justice. It is the nicest resort we have ever stayed at. It is pricey but worth it. Rooms were huge, beds we extremely comfortable. Staff was very helpful and polite. I recommend this resort to anyone who is looking to get away and be pampered.

We loved the place. It's expensive. The food quality and the associated wait staff service was not commensurate with the high price of the only meal we ate there. Also, our reservation for dinner (which was made by the Chef Luciano) was lost. They were able to seat us anyway as they weren't crowded at the time.
