"Right in the middle of it all"
The great thing about this hotel it that it's right next to everything at Killington. All the bars and restaurant are within 2 minutes and there are lots of local attractions within 15-20 minutes. The one gripe I have regarding service is that the guy at the front desk gave my fiancé the run around when she was trying to book a massage, so she was never […] able to get it. Very frustrating. This hotel is ideal to skiers on a budget. The hotel is very clean and comes stocked with most of the amenities you like. The remove show signs of wear but its truly nothing to complain about. The only issue I had was that i was unable to get wireless service in the room.

"GREAT Location and thats it..."
Booked because it was in a good location, but didn't know that I was in for a dirty dated room. Reviews looked good compared to other dated locations at Killington - however I woulda sooner spent twice as much to stay in a room that was clean. Just a few of many examples - hair in sink and tub, red spots in sheets, broken and missing fixtures, a dorm […] fridge that sounded like a diesel, an after hours front desk employee that we had a hard time understanding, and a "full breakfast" that we skipped after trying once. "Great weekend stay"
Maybe the curtains and furniture are not the most up to date but the hotel is clean. We had a great weekend. The location is ideal for skiing and surrounded by many restaurants. They have a free shuttle to the mountain. Cookies in the afternoon, and the breakfast was great. Pool and hot tub were nice. Website doesn't mention it but there is an outdoor […] hot tub which was a pleasant surprise. Two hugh fireplaces in the common area with very comfortable leather couches to sit on and read a book after a day on the slopes. Great place unless you are looking for all modern decor. Les mer

The location allows this hotel a 3.5 star rating. The facility shows a lot of wear and tear and would not rate this high anywhere else. It has the potential to be great, but service is basic and polite at best. The rooms are showing age especially the bathrooms, paper thin walls and totally overheated. "Close, Clean, and Cheap"
We made our first ever trip to Killington for a few days of snowboarding and relaxation. We had a good stay at Inn of the Six. Given the prices of other hotels closeby, we chose this one for its proximity to Killington Ski Resort and its reasonable rates. It is an older hotel, the rooms and hallways show their age, but it has its bright spots as well. […] The breakfast buffet was a LOT better than I would expect for a free breakfast (french toast, REAL scrambled eggs, sausage and bacon, potatoes, etc). A free movie library at the front desk gave us something to do when rain kept us off the slopes one morning. They have an indoor AND outdoor hot tub, plus a pool. The front desk personnel didn't go out of their way for us, but they were very friendly and helpful when we had questions. A small frig in the room was a pleasant bonus. A free shuttle up to the ski lodge runs in the morning and afternoon. The hotel is close to several decent restaurants/pubs (LookOut, Moguls). The only negative comments I would make is that the room was small (2 double beds with less than a foot between!) and it was very warm on the 3rd floor (we never turned on the heat thermostat the entire time we were there). I also wish they had suites available -- not honeymoon suites, just bigger rooms with a living area. I think we would have splurged for a bigger room. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to ski or snowboard at Killington, unless you aren't comfortable staying at an older hotel. Les mer

"Nice Place"
This is a really nice place for a Killington visit. It's quiet, the bar is small and inviting, the fireplaces are lovely, the pool is pretty cool shape (never seen an indoor pool like that before!) the hot tub, unfortunately, was not very hot, so a minus there :( All in all, though, I like this place as a lovely getaway for a romantic ski get-away.

Real close to everything we needed...the mountain and food. The decor and people are quaint and homely, just as our expectations are for a cozy Vermont stay. In other reviews, people mentioned that the walls are thin. I suppose that you can hear hallway conversations and noises, but that was not a bother for us. "MLB Last minute trip"
Good deal on room for MLB Holidya - was very tight on rooms on Mtn and with their special they had the best price and a great central location on the access road. The free breakfast in the morning was a nice surprise as we're the cookies and cider in the evening. Staff was helpful and check in/out was quick and drama free.

The location was great. Pool, hot tubs, and fireplace all very nice. The food was so-so. The rooms (king size bed) were spacious, but very outdated. The volume was very low on the TV (could hardly hear it). My son had a room there also and his tv was the same. The maintanence man came up and said "sorry, they are all like that. They are very old". The […] windows (2) were falling off the hinges and made noise all night long. In my son's room a window actually fell out (it was very windy that night). Liked the cookie and cider snacks available. Would rate this poor - fair. The only great thing about it was that it was very close to the ski mountain. We throughly enjoyed our stay, from the moment we checked in till the time we checked out! Another guest ha mentioned she had been staying for the past six years and the condition of the hotel was declining due to multiple owners trying to sell the hotel. The place seemed fine to me! Clean grounds and bedroom, decor in the rooms is a little dated but […] nothing too bad. Staff were eager to help any way they could, from the front desk to the janitors everyone was delightful. Lots of freebies: breakfast from 7-10 daily, cookies and cider starting at 4pm, board games, free movie rentals, movie theater showings every night, 2 hot tubs (one in and one outside), lap pool and a hot tea/water stand in the lobby which was very convenient coming in from the chilly slopes! The positive, they don't nickel and dime you. However, as is the problem with most Killington area hotels, nothing is updated for the last 20 years, holes in walls, doors, unpainted walls and ceilings are not uncommon.

Hotel staff was very polite and helpful. Maid staff left dirty glasses when conducting the daily cleanng. Room was worn and in need of a paint job. Hotel has a lot of potential, just needs a face lift.
Could use a little updating to rooms. Just did not feel clean when entering room especially for the price

This property must have been breathtaking when new, it has a Western Rockies appearance and feel to it. While I enjoyed my visit this is a transition time for Inn of 6 Mountains, now its the time the ownership should make the investment to refurb the place and spruce it up. "don't go in the off season!!"
The hotel was pretty enough but we went at the very beginning of the season and it seemed like the staff were never around, we were constantly waiting for service. When they would finally come out they acted like we were a bother, instead of a paying customer. We had to wait for almost forty minutes on thanksgiving because no one was around in the […] restaurant to seat us and then a girl, who i'm going to assume was the waitress, came out of the kitchen, and told us it was a buffet and didn't even take a drink order, we drank orange juice that was probably left over from breakfast. Also, it said on the website that they had a pool and hot tub but they were working on the indoor pool and every time we went out to check the outdoor hot tub it was ice cold and there wasn't a way to turn it on ourselves. Lastly, it felt like the heat wasn't on in any of the rooms or the halls. I'm not sure if this was a cost cutting thing or what, but after skiing all day the last thing i want is to walk into a hotel that's just as cold inside as it is outside. No thank you. Definitely wouldn't recommend staying here. Les mer

We choose this hotel based on others reviews. We thought it was a bit dated and dull. We figured this would be a good place to stay during ski season though, as it was one of the cheaper hotels. It was ok, but I would choose another hotel next time.

The Inn of the Six Mountains needs some work. The rooms are in need of a upgrade. The pool liner was in bad shape. The continental breakfast was bad. This hotel should no be rated over a two star at this point. It used to be a nice hotel but they need to put some money back into it. It is in a good location.

Wow, did Vermont suffer from Hurricane Irene! This hotel had only recently reopened when we arrived after being cut off (Route 4, the main road into Killington, had in places been washed away). This is often the hotel we choose when in the area and do recommend it. Just wish the swimming pool (indoor) was bigger.

Overall, we were satisfied with the hotel. The rooms were clean and large; the bed was very comfortable. The lobby area is wonderful with the huge stone fireplace, used as needed. The hotel is well situated in the Killington area, and much is available in a short walk or drive. We were disappointed that the indoor pool needs some work; the pool liner […] is badly wrinkled and pulling away in spots. It is not a pleasant place in which to swim. The outdoor pool was not available due to the season. And breakfast was not ready at 7 am as advertised; a minor point, but critical because my husband needed to leave early for an important meeting. Overall, though, we would return and hope that some repairs were made to the pool. Les mer

When we first pulled up to the hotel we were quite happy as the exterior looked much like it did in the photos. However as soon as we walked into the hotel it became a totally different experience. The […] hotel lift and corridors smelled terribly, we found ourselves holding our breath when entering the lift!! The breakfast buffet was nothing short of horrendous. They had a fruit bowl available which was full of pre-sliced fruit that looked like it had been there for weeks!! Yukkk The room itself was ok, clean and comfortable. The main issue with this hotel was its atmosphere. You got the impression that the owners/management didnt care at all. A little TLC from their behalf would change everything! We'll I really wanted this stay to be great and the building is very impressive but bad wall color choices and lack of maintence is making the hotel looking very dated, the staff was pleasent and attentive, the mattress (in our case was a King) was very much a trampoline, bouncy at the least, I think that if rehabed the place could be splenid. Would stay there again simply because of price and location. Rooms could do with a good cleaning and updating. Breakfast was less than special - fruit was not all that great.
"Quite nice as you pass thru VT"
The hotel was very nice. Upon arriving we were informed that we had been upgraded for free. You can't beat that. There's not much to do in the area during the summer but it's still nice being in the mountains. The room was comfortable and clean - same goes for the bed.
