Vi bodde 5 dager på dette hotellet. Rommet har atkomst fra svalgang og er av vanlig amerikansk standard. Hotellet er beliggende i annen rekke fra stranden, litt langt mot nord, men med hyggelige omgivelser. Bassenget er lite for voksne, men ok for mindre barn. Rommet inneholder mikrobølgeovn og kjøleskap, men det er dårlige muligheter for å spise på rommet.

Det var stor forsell på rommene vi fikk. Det ene var ok på alle måter, mens det andre hadde en inngangsdør som så vidt lot seg åpne og lukke. Og i gangen var det litt dårlig lukt, samt at det ikke var særlig varmt på badet. Rommene er utstyrt med lokalt aircondisionagregat, og dtte medfører endel støy. Videre virker restaurant og bar "litt kalde" og ikke så alt for trivelige. Et pluss for gode senger og masse puter for dem som liker dette.

Hotellet har en fin beliggenhet nede ved sjøkanten og i direkte forbindelse med et fint gangsystem langs bryggene, og samtidig nært til Norfolks trivelige bysentrum. Betjeningen er hyggelig og hjelpsom.

"Hilton or Hells Angels Hangout?"
The weekend we were there the hotel there were over 300 members of "motorcycle clubs" there and they basically took over the hotel. There was people drinking in the parking lot with loud music booming. Drunk people roaming the halls and lobby. We had to be moved once because of noice and then on second night they placed another group next to us just […] as loud. They offered to move us again. We left the hotel. The staff was always courteous, but I was told this is the 6th year they have this get together and it is always like this. The hotel is definately not up to Hilton standards. The beds were not comfortable, TV remote didnt work, hot in the hallways, just an overall bad experience....Never again would I stay there. Les mer
"infinitely dissatisfied"
We have a 2yr old and a 6month old. Hotel did not have a microwave, refrigerator. The did not have one available during my stay. Bathroom was not cleaned. Used wash cloth in the shower. Water in tub does not drain. The beds were uncomfortable. Temperture throughout the hotel was noticeably different. This hotel was VERY UNCOMFORTABLE.

"dissapointed with this hilton"
This is not a typical hilton,rooms were not clean,we had to get our rooms switched twice ,old hotel poorly maintained,friendly staff but we were extremely disatisfied not sure if me & my wife will ever stay or recommend hiltons to anyone.

Overall, I, and my fiance enjoyed staying at this hotel. The staff are always helpful and kind. On Sat., Nov. 26, there was excessive running, jumping and banging on the floor of the room above us and from room 225. After I called the front desk to report this noise, the manager called to apologize and indicated that the hotel had zero-tolerance for […] this. He also indicated that security was monitoring the situation. However, we were extremely disappointed that there was no hot water when we used the showers in the morning or late evenings. For this reason, we have discussed possibly finding another hotel to stay in when I next visit Norfolk. It is this reason, too, why we might not recommend this hotel to others. Les mer
"Norfolk Hilton - needs to be torn down"
I had to change rooms twice because the noise was so bad from adjoining rooms. I would NEVER stay at this hotel again!
"Old & Dated"
I am actually surprised that this is a Hilton Property. The Hotel is worn and showing significant signs of aging. It looks more like a Motel 6, and less like a Hilton. But more shocking were the ROACHES. Don't roam the hallways at night and be prepared when you turn on the lights, in the middle of the night.

HOTEL WAS VERY BUSY AND DURING OUR STAY ONE OF THEIR TWO ELEVATORS HAD BROKE DOWN SO IT MADE THE TRAVELING BETWEEN FLOORS SO LONG WE DECIDED TO TAKE THE STAIRS DURING OUR STAY. "Hilton hotel near norfolk airport"
I was not satisfied at all with my first day I was given key cards that didnt work, a smoking room when i requested a non smoking and i was charged twice for incidental charges and i had to take care of that myself when a manager said that they would.
"Very Convenient for a Stay Near the Airport"
I liked this hotel! It wasn't really extravagant, but it wasn't broken down, either. I enjoyed the comfort of the bed most of all. Down-feather pillows and a down comforter = good night's sleep. "Norfolk Hilton"
Staff very nice and helpful. Location close to airport and easy access to highway. 1 Elevator out of service for both nights and the 2nd one made scary noises and obviously needed maintenance.

Room was too small for family of four and they don't have rooms with Queen sized beds. Room was clean Pool was ok Service was very polite
"Not so good."
Took forever to check in, my booking didn't show I had free breakfast buffet each day and when i looked up my email sent to me just days before checkin it didnt have it either so good thing i saved very first booking email and it showed free breakfest, I asked waitress for change of a 20..... She dropped off 19 and kept walking.
The expirience over-all was good, the only problem i found was on cleaning the rooms correctly, there was a use condom under the bed ....

"Disappointed"
Considering this is a Hilton Hotel, I definitely expected better. We (2 adults, 1 toddler) arrived a little past midnight, with a decent amount of luggage. Thus, we asked for a cart. Tell me why they were "out" of carts at that time of night. I put in a request for a King sized bed, and our room had 2 doubles instead. Our TV didn't work either. We had […] to have someone come take a look at it the next day. The shower was HORRIBLE. It leaked water out and the floor was soaked. If we had no child with us, it probably wouldn't have been that bothersome. But, with a 20 month old, it became quite the safety hazard. Overall, I wouldn't want to stay at this hotel again and I wouldn't recommend it to a friend either. Les mer

"Bad experience"
After being on the road 4 1/2 hours, we checked in at about 11:30pm. We were told that the room was not ready which I thought it was kind of unusual for a hotel of this magnitude. I was told to come back in 20 min. Came back 1/2 hour later, and the room was still not ready. After 45 min the room was finally ready, but (this is where the annoying part […] comes in), the room that I reserved was not available. The only room available was one with a king size bed. There were four of us! I had to sleep on the floor. The room smelled really bad, and it was not clean after all. The staff was able to switch us to a double bed room the next day and they also offered us complimentary breakfast. Les mer
"Not Satisfied"
We were not very happy with the room (no fridge, tv remote didn't work, a bit shabby in appearance). It also would have been nice if the hotel had provided complimentary tea and coffee in the lobby area, and better yet, a light breakfast.

The hotel is very clean and nicely maintained. Nice and friendly staff. Perfect for a VA beach visit if you are not particular about staying on the boardwalk

The staff were very friendly and very accomodating. When we got to our room we were not happy with the view of the roof and AC units and asked to move. The front desk clerk was willing to allow us to move to another room but since he couldn't find 2 rooms together he offered us complimentary breakfast for 1 day. The hotel is an older hotel and needs […] some attention because the curtains were falling down, the glass mirror was missing off the closet door, ironing board legs bent and had to be propped against the wall in order to use and the toilet constantly ran water after each flush. The good thing was the beds were very very comfortable and the noise level was very conducive for a good nights sleep. Shopping and dining very convenient. Pleasant stay. Les mer
"Not one that I would recommend."
Very disappointing for a Hilton! Hotel was run down and not very clean. There are two elevators servicing the entire 6 floors and one had dropped from the 3rd floor to the basement the day that we arrived and it took the staff over an hour to get people out!!! Needless to say one elevator is not nearly enough to service the whole hotel so there were […] extended waits for the elevator. Overall, not one that I would recommend. Les mer

"wonderful stay"
I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel on the last day of my trip. It was comfortable, clean, and the staff was extremely friendly. The free ride to the airport topped off a wonderful stay!
"Convenient but not clean"
Hotel is in a great location near airport and shuttle service was nice to have. rooms were a little smaller than i thought and beds need to be queen size instead of full. When first entered the room there was an awful smell. couldn't quite pin point it. the bathrooms are too small. Can barely open door and move around. Bathtub had alot of touch up paint […] and rack over tub was rusted. Carpet looked new. Tv looked like it belonged back in late 90's. The "worst" was bedding. pulled back sheets to get into bed and there was black hair and stains of something and dried up food on sheets. Had to completely move to another room. Front desk was extremely helpful in moving to another room. Hot tub and swimming pool needed cleaning. Max and Ermas restaurant was great really the only perk of the hotel besides being close to airport. Very dissappointed.... Les mer

Good location, restaurant and bar were more than expected and short distance to the airport made it covenient. The "motherly hug" from one of the staff was a bit awkward, but you come to expect the unexpected these days from the service industry.
Great experience, hotel was clean and staff was so friendly and accomadating

"Nice experience"
My girlfriend and I stayed one night at the Norfolk Hilton. Overall our stay was a pleasant one and I thought the staff was friendly. I thought the floor layout was somewhat confusing, but the experience was a positive one. The location was right off the freeway and malls were nearby and accessible. The room was clean and spacious. I didn't like how […] the closet was across from the vanity, but that is minor detail. I think we got a good deal for the price. Les mer
"Beds are Comfortable, but Bring Your Earplugs"
This hotel had extremely comfortable beds, however my praise has to end there. We experienced a significant amount of noise, with parties in two rooms surrounding ours. Three noise complaints between midnight and 3am did not do much. If you're looking for a quiet place to stay and a quality night's sleep this is not the hotel for you.

Everything about the hotel was fine except the breakfast. They give the impression that it's a free continental breakfast but it's not. They wait until you get your food at the buffet, ask if you'd like coffee or water, then when you're done they hand you a bill for a $12per person buffet! First time we went, this didn't happen. Second time, it did. […] Very odd. Just ask before you go. I would not have had the marginally acceptable food if I had known it was going to cost that much! Les mer

"Noise"
At around 11pm there was quite a bit of noise in the hallway outside of my room, so I called the front desk about the problem. It was taken care of within 5 minutes of my call.
"Great room for the money"
Whenever I travel to Virginia Beach I stay on the Oceanfront. This is the first time I did not do so. This room was about a third of the price of the Oceanfront rooms (same hotel, Hilton) so I expected the worst. The room was actually pretty good for the money. Id recommend it if you were trying to save money.
