Greit og rimelig. Landlige omgivelser i nærheten. Ganske rolig strøk litt i utkanten. Hyggelig og vennlig personell. Litt lytt mot korridor.

This is a backpacker styled hotel, everything is fairly small, room size and bathroom. But good location, colse to all. Would return to hotel next time.

"Not impressed"
You get what you pay for with the economy room. I don't recommend staying here unless you are travelling alone. There was only enough space in the room to push a queen size bed in the corner and a bedside table next to it - that sums up the whole room. The biggest problem wasn't the room. It was the fact that you enter an aged hotel, then walk for […] 5min through dated hallways to another equally old building where the floors don't line up with the lifts. "Mercure Grovesnor in Adelaide"
Good and friendly staff. But the Mercure is a maze ! Very long corridor and at the end, stairs... to find other corridors... this hotel can be reccommended for fit people with not too much lunguages. Not really good for elderly people with walking difficulties. On fridays and saturdays you can hear loud music from the east side of the hotel.

economy booking. tiny tiny room. tv remote/system unworkable and awful offering of channels. fridge had frozen mcdonalds ice creams in it from someone else. old used toiletries in cupboard. more like a youth hostel. good location i suppose but wont be back.

The Hotel itself was very average at best. The room was small and the bathroom was smaller. Simple just adequetly furnished. The location was excellent though. Close to shopping, restaurants and museums. Went to a Festival while there and it was not a real short walk, but very doable.

The carpet was stained, the bathroom had mould in it and the door to the bathroom had some brown substance on it and looked like faeces. The room was hot and stuffy and you could not control the temp as it was centrally operated. The airconditioning outlet also had mould in the vents, this has to be a health hazard surely and the noise it made was very […] annoying and made it hard to sleep. Last time I stayed there, my last room had mould in the bathroom and the hotel gave me free parking for the 'inconvenience'. I received nothing this time. I called reception and advised them of the state of the room and was advised that it was a standard room, not a delux, I advised that it should be at least clean. I recieved no offer of someone coming to see the disgrace of the room. My daugher who is 17 and was with me the first night was appauled. We have no desire to ever stay at the Hotel again. I have always stayed at the Grosvenor because of its location but I have found more acceptable hotel accommodation in the same area and I will be using these from now on. Les mer

I found the staff amazing and very helpful, in all areas of the Hotel. Very polite, friendly and there when I needed them. The room, for me was perfect as it had all the necessary facilities, was very quiet and clean. So my stay was very pleasing. There was alot of bad things said about this Hotel but I stayed for a confrence and on a Sat night. I found my room comfy enough for what I needed had everything i needed. Only thing I did not like was no Lock on the inside of door. I had dinner in the cafe was enjoyable. Breakfast was really nice but kept running out of food looked like only one person […] on. Location is great. Parking tight and limited rooms need better cleaning economy (so called) were not suitable for anyone but singles who want only minimum comfort definitely not suited for couples we had to upgrade. Prcing too high for accomodation of that type and probably misleadingly named economy.

"Mercure Grosvenor - Wrong selection in a nice city"
I honestly can say the only nice thing about this hotel was the food, the rest was terrible. The room was like a prison cell with windows which were screwed shut, had no view, cobwebs everywhere and curtains which after touching I washed my hands. The furniture in the room was falling apart, to the point that opening a wardrobe door was an effort […] as you had to straigten up the wardrobe first. This hotel advertises air conditioning, DO NOT BE DECIEVED it has an air circulation system which you can turn from low to high but this is the fan speed, so I was being pushed ambient air at about 29 through the vents which themselves looked more akin to an extractor grill in a burger shop. The walls were dirty, with a coating of dust over many of them. I never felt clean, I showered before leaving, but even then I was joined by two spiders in the toilet area as the windows in there were stuck open. The hotel felt dark and dingy but when you get to the ground floor the reception felt quite airy and the restaurants were comfortable. Staf were friendly with the exception of two people, the breakfast cashier who just ignored me, another member of staff eventually came and sorted a table and reception who when asked about this 1.5% surcharge for paying by credit card (its an Oz thing apparently they claim its done everywhere else - WRONG only in Oz so far) told me that I should have read a sign at the opposite end of the counter when I arrived, I said as its not common and I am a visitor to your country should you not make sure I am aware, her reply was if you cant read it then why should I tell you. Honestly, never ever again, whilst I can accept that some people may love this hotel, for me it was a terrible experience. I also dropped the do you want a survey card with them but to date have heard nothing. Les mer

Perfect for an overnighter for one person only, rooms are clean and efficient for that over night stay. Its small but okay for one person. I would stay there again when transiting through Adelaide.

"Dorchester Mercure - Adelaide"
We were disappointed with the size of the room for the amount charged even though it was an economy room. The room was approx 6 x 2.5 metres not including a small shower room and the whole situation did not seem adequate for two persons. The sink tap in the shower room whilst very trendy seemed to limit its usefulness. I did find one of the female […] receptionists very "matter of fact" with a take it or leave it atttitude, whilst others were fine. Also no one was on hand to help us with our luggage. Les mer

The room was a big as a shoe box (not suitable for two people) and the bathroom - well you could sit on the toilet, wash your hands in the basin and use the shower all at the same time. The room was freezing and after asking if they could turn up the temperature, they told us it was not possible.

I stayed in the economy room which is small as that is understandable but the vents kept making really loud noises every 2 hours for 30min which was annoying but the room was really clean and had nice decor. I did like the location though as it was close to all the main places and the resturant was nice.

Due to ashes problem my flight got cancelled which I have got a refund as it was an unpredictable situation but the hotel said they cannot refund my money nor provide any complimentary breakfast instead. Administration is of great diappointment. I would personnaly never recomment anyone to that hotel.

The room rate was very small and I guess consequently so was the room. The desk was only just big enough to get a laptop on. Its position behind the door to the (tiny) shower-room was such that you had to move the chair out of the way to get into the shower-room. Service fine & restaurant meal good but hotel decor is 'tired' especially the bathrooms. Bathbadly marked & could only turn shower taps on from bath taps hence getting very wet in doing so. Not good value stay will revert bac to Stamford or Sofitel.
The Mecure Grosvenor Hotel is in a good location. Some biscuits with the tea and coffee facilities would have been appreciated. I would stay there again.

"Pleasant & comfortable stay in good location"
Overall, this Hotel is recommended, however several reports were made to Reception that the exhaust fan in the en-suite was not operating, resulting in the mirrors and other surfaces steaming up. Although our stay was 8 days the fault was never rectified during that time. Aditionally,the system of reserving car parking needs attention. Once the request […] is made a charge is recorded for every night regardless as to whether the facility is used or not. We returned our hire car after 4 nights however we continued to be charged. "Great location, nice staff"
I booked an economy room but we were upgraded to standard without asking. The room was dark with only one small window looking onto an alley but was otherwise nice. The "fitness room" was a treadmill, a bike, and a balance ball in a closet-sized space, nothing that should really be advertised. For it's price and location I was very satisfied.
Great location, close to everything. Parking arrangements could be better, particularly after enquiring in advance. But overall a good stay, and definitely worth the visit, if only for the marvelous 3 course meal. I hope they are able to hang on to their chef.

Adelaide was great but the hotel was crap - extremely disappointing. It gave the appearance of a 2 star hotel. The staff were all friendly but that was the only good thing about it. The room was small and extremely dark as there was only 1 small window which was frosted and next to a building so therefore no natural light. it was like a prison. The […] fixtures and fittings in the bedroom were fine, no mirror in bedroom or any ambience. The lights took ages to reach full wattage. IT WAS FREEZING!! THERE WAS NO HEATING IN THE HOTEL AT ALL. They did provide a small fan heater when I complained. Everyone was complaining about the cold. In the bathroom the small soap container did not drain and there was nowhere to put shampoo except on the floor. Some of the groating in the shower was black! Everything was very tired even for a 2 star hotel. The passage was being renovated - fine - but the state of the carpet was dreadful and should not have reached that stage before renovation. We asked at the bar at lunchtime for gluten free food. They offered steak which we ordered and then was told they had run out. The reception was always crowded with group check-ins. The 2 staff did their best but understaffed. Group bookings should be in a different area so others do not have to always queue for ages. We have stayed in many hotels throughout the world including many Accor hotels and we think this was the worst ever. Accor should be ashamed -a dreadful impression for overseas guests. Les mer

An excellent location - virtually opposite the railway station and Casino, only a few minutes walk to the centre of the CBD. The reception staff were pleasant and helpful. Our initial reaction was disappointment, because the Economy room was not as we had expected, nor how the picture of a room suggested it would be. For a quite reasonable charge, […] we were moved to a Standard Room for the second night, and we were very happy with it. "Great Location"
Overvall, everything about this hotel was as seen on the wesbite. Standard room is basically that, standard. Nothing special to it however all that you really need is a warm bed at the end of the day. Hotel is in a great location, central to everything, walking distance to the heart of the city and surrounding parks. The staff were polite and the rooms […] were clean. However, the only concern was the size of the bathroom, quite small and now photos of this on the website. But again, as long as the water works, there really isn't a problem. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying for a few nights (not really big enough for a week long stay). The bed was extremely comfortable, tv good size, and the hotel was quite quiet. I selected this hotel mainly because of the central location & the low rate for the "Economy" room. The low rate was certainly related to the compact size of the room & quality of the furnishings. OK for 1 night for 1 person, but would not recommend for longer

The room I stayed was a trumped up motel room somehow attached to the back corridor of this four-star hotel. And by 'back corridor' I mean approx 300 metres from the front desk, down three hallways, a set of stairs and round the bend near the fire escape. Not recommended.
