For an airport hotel, the Clarion has many great features such as breakfast, a gym, pool, and the room was very comfortable. There are restaurants close by and it's very close to the airport. Will definitely be my "go to" while going into PDX.

We had a great stay. The room was clean, the complimentary breakfast was great, and the staff was kind. We had a loud family upstairs, and the noise continued after 10 PM. My kids were asleep, so I called the front desk. The very polite front desk staff appologized, and said they would give them a warning, and if it continued they would give them a […] second warning, and then move them. The noise stopped after the first warning. The only problem was the extremely busy street it was on. Les mer

Our 2 stays (a week apart) exceeded our expectations. Staying only overnight both times, we did not have time to enjoy all of the facilities as much as we first intended. However, the amenities looked first-rate in comparison to similar hosts. Our rooms seemed to us to untypically clean and fresh. The hot breakfast, especially, was simply phenomenally […] delicious, well served and well-presented, better than most higher rated hotels! Thank you for that! No room service, the free breakfast buffet was awful food, no smoking rooms even though we were told there were. There was a little bit of damage to the inside of the room that could have been fixed and made it much more appealing. The bed and pillows were wonderful.

If my wife and I have to stay in Portland again, we would not have to go looking for a hotel coz we would definitely come back to the Clarion hotel. The most comfortable bed we ever slept in. Very nice continental breakfast.

Hotel was great and staff was very accomodating. Came in late and they arranged for a shuttle to get me to the hotel. Very nice complimentary breakfast. Couldn't be more pleased overall.

This hotel is great in general, especially for families like us. The services are excellent. My kids also enjoy it very much: the indoor pool, the room, the lobby, the meals......

We reserved a room with a Temper pedic bed so we could try out this type of bed. When we checked in at 3:20 pm on 01/05/2013 the desk person told us there wasn't any available and it wasn't on our reservation. He then proceded to be very rude and said that we were not garranteed a temper pedic bed even though I called the hotel desk the day before and […] the person answering the phone confirmed that we were getting a temper pedic bed. In the morning the breakfast was served with processed eggs that were cut into small squares and the dining tables were never cleaned by the staff after someone was finished using them. Les mer

I was very disappointed to find the indoor pool closed without being told upon check-in. My #1 must-have when booking a room for my granddaughter and myself is an indoor pool. After much complaining the front desk said we could go to a sister property to use their pool, so we bundled up over our swim suits and braved the pouring rain to drive over to […] a different hotel to swim. In addition to this disappointment, I noticed a real decline in the upkeep of the hotel compared to past visits. The only positive was the reasonable rate, but I would have happily paid more for a working pool. Les mer

Great double queen room for family...we and the kids loved the indoor pool and spa...continental breakfast was very good with an excellent variety of options. Nice hotel with all the accommodations that we look for when we travel.

Situated about 10 mins outside of downtown Portland, the most inconvenient part about the location is the drive (and 3 interchanges) to get to downtown. If you can get over that, the location is mostly quiet (aside from the airplanes, which aren't that loud when you're in your room). Also, there is a strip mall at the nearby Cascade max station across […] the Ikea (cheap eats!), so you're technically not far from shopping. The free breakfast buffet is quite good, and they seem to replace the "all-day coffee" at a good rate as I never got a cold cup. Aside from a few room quirks that I could live with (low water pressure shower), this is my first choice for hotels in Portland as it's as comfy and clean as hotels twice its price! Les mer

The bed is very comfortable and everything's fine until the 3rd night of our stay....we went back to our room on the 4th floor after a long day and the room smell like someone has been smoking inside of our non-smoking room, so we complainted to the front desk, he said it's probably coming from the 3rd fl smoking room's bathroom vent and normally they […] dont put people in our room because of the smoking smell....then he gave us another room same floor, this time no smoking smell, but the bathroom heat light and TV volume both didnt work and it's late so we didnt bother to call the front desk. Next morning, we explained the situation to the same lady who gave us that room in the first place...she played dumb...and didnt even apologize ... we would not stay here again Les mer

We were tired when we got there.and had booked a room with Clarion throught Expedia. We were on Ground Floor and the room was Massive. The bed was extremely comfortable along with the pillows. Everything was quite good about the room and staff, but we were unable to close the window because it was blocked open by a device in the frame we could not remove. We just turned on the heat and it was fine. Then it got too hot, turned off the heat and it got too cold. We had a good time and it just added to the experience.

Great stay. View of the river from the room, couldn't hear any of the airplanes unless the windows were open, and we were just in time for Manager's Happy hour with free alcohol, free appetizers and live music. Awesome overnight stay.

We got in close to midnight and lo and behold, there was no parking spots available. Not only that, everyone was pretty much double parked along the sidewalks and even in front of the lane that passes through the lobby. The front desk person Annette was helpful in terms of understanding our frustrations and explaining that they were indeed overbooked […] for the long term parking due to their stay for a night and park for 7 nights promo. At the end, we had to park and block the only remaining gap on that lane that leads up to the lobby. We were quadruple parked (if there was such a thing). All's good in the end. I was so sure we were going to be awaken in the wee hours of the morning to be asked to move our car, but we weren't. We woke up at a decent hour, in time for the free (cereal & waffles) breakfast and we were on our way. Les mer

This hotel is a great value for the total price--really conveniently located near the airport (with a great shuttle too!), but in a relatively quiet neighborhood. We ended up getting a huge room, with a separate sitting area and bedroom. It was great! The bed was amazingly comfortable. The breakfast was a nice addition, although it was typical of hotel […] breakfasts (nothing special). I did hear quite a bit of airplane noise overnight, but the comfort of the room, friendliness of the staff, convenience of the location and shuttle, and overall price made it all worthwhile. Would definitely stay there again, and would recommend it especially to people needing a place to crash near the airport. Les mer

We arrived late and departed before breakfast. It offered an above average facility with a friendly staff. The room was good sized, quiet, well equiped, and quiet. Clean and up-to-date. Very near the airport and the interstate. Good value for the price.

Room was clean and beds were very comfortable. Hallways were in need of a good carpet cleaning. Tuesday evening entertainment and appetizer/drinks was a pleasant surprise. Hotel staff was very pleasant - even when providing a light breakfast and free shuttle service to the airport at 4AM!

Overall the hotel was well managed and well kept. The rooms were large and the furnishings were in good shape. Although near the airport noise was not a problem generally. The breakfast was adequate and convenient. The only problem I experienced was the so called shuttle service. If you don't have a car it takes some effort to get to and from the airport […] to catch public transportation. They said the van ran every half hour which would have been fine if they stuck to a schedule but they didn't. With a little effort I believe this problem can be addressed. We reserved a King Whirlpool room as a relaxing getaway. The room was spacious and very clean. The bedding was very comfortable and cozy. The decor was neutral, without a single floral pattern anywhere. Best of all the whirlpool was hug and a great way to unwind.

This is our second time to stay at the Clarion Portland Airport. The first time, just a year or two ago, the rooms were undergoing remodel. The beds were comfortable. I think they forgot to do the room we stayed this visit. The bed was not comfortable (claim they are tempur pedic but I beg to differ), the bathroom doors fake wood grain was peeling off, […] and the little fridge and micro sat on the floor (stacked they came about mid thigh, needed a cabinet for access ease). The room was clean minus the dirty towel behing the chair in the room. Totally grossed me out. The hot tub needs work as well. Not sure I would chance getting stuck with a yuck room again. Les mer

The room was nicely decorated and very spacious. The staff was friendly and accomodating. We enjoyed the continental breakfast with the wide variety of fresh selections. We also liked that it was right next door to a 24 hour restaurant. We will stay at this location again.

Room window would not close. Had to move to another room. Should have been fixed before our arrival. Quick breakfast was appreciated. Shuttle to airport was appreciated. Closeness to gas station, car rental return, and airport was appreciated. Room was comfortable and clean.

We enjoyed our stay at the Clarion. The breakfast was quite good and it was nice that you could go down late to breakfast and there was still plenty of food. The beds were very comfortable and the room was clean. This hotel is quite close to the airport, but with the windows closed the airplane noise was barely noticeable (it was quite a bit louder […] with them open so I don't think we would have kept them open during the night).
