We enjoyed our evening in Cincinnati and the hotel room was nice but the bed looked laid on and chairs dirty. We stayed on the top floor and unfortunately heavy rains rolled in and it sounded like we were under attack. The sound was so loud we barely got any sleep. This hotel is wonderful and the staff is outstanding. I travel at least 3 times a month for business and usually stay at Marriott or Hyatt type hotels. As a result I am not used to the great service provided by The Cincinnatian Hotel. I loved it! I was especially impressed with the wonderful shuttle service from the airport and back. The driver called […] me on my cell phone as soon as I came off the plane and told me he would be there to pick me up outside of the baggage claim area. The staff was attentive and accommodating. We enjoyed the music in the lounge on Friday and Saturday nights and breakfast in the restaurant. Our room was clean and quiet. And the complimentary taxi service was an unexpected convenience. We would stay here again and recommend it to friends.

My husband and I can not say enough good things about this hotel! Everything from it's staff to the cleanliness to the quiet atmosphere. It's exactly what we needed! Everyone there gets it!

The Cincinnatian is a classic hotel in the heart of downtown which offers lots of touches of traditional sophistication. From the doormen in their 19th century uniforms to the bell hops, from the front desk clerks to the old school room keys, everything harkens take to "the day". While I understand this is a historical building, for a traveler on a budget, I have to say I've stayed in better hotels for much less money. The hotel staff were very accommodating and provided excellent service; that was the best part of the experience. The room key (actual key, not electronic) got stuck in the door, and was hard to remove, the room's […] decor was VERY dated for a "luxury downtown hotel", and the amenities that were offered were not what you'd expect for the price paid. The floor in our room was uneven and slanted downward toward the street, so it felt much like walking down a ramp. On our way down the stairs to leave for the evening, I nearly fell down the stairs because of several loose tiles on the landing between floors. Next time I visit Cincinnati, I will be choosing a different hotel. Les mer

When I requested a nice view from the highest floor possible, we were given a view of the inside of the hotel while other guests ate dinner below. I specifically asked for a nice view and was disappointed with the result.

My girlfriend and I drove down to Cincinnati for a concert and overnight stay. I was very impressed with the friendliness, service, and all around condition of the hotel. Staying in the Atrium Queen room we ended up with a top floor room with a balcony that overlooked the indoor courtyard. Being history buffs, we especially loved the fact that the hotel […] was built in the 1800s, and that they used actual brass room keys instead of the plastic cards that so many hotels use nowadays. When I made dinner reservations, I told the receptionist that it was our anniversary. She repeated that back to me, but on the evening of the dinner, none of the servers knew. That information had not been communicated to any of the staff who served us that evening.

I really enjoy my stays at the Cincinnatian. I occasionally stay there when I go to Cincinnati to attend Cubs/Reds games because it is an easy walk to the ballpark. I enjoy walking the marble staircases and their wifi hookup is seamless. I do have a couple of complaints, however - - first of all, they really should 'get with the program' and put coffee […] makers in each room. I enjoy my morning coffee as I am getting dressed and ready before leaving the hotel room. So having free coffee service in the lobby (and only until 9:30 am) just doesn't work for me. Also, the $28 valet parking charge is out of line. So I park under Fountain Square for half that, though it is less convenient. Overall I will continue to stay here, though I also sometime trade off and stay at other downtown Cincinnati hotels. Les mer

I was only there a single night, but the hotel was nicely appointed and the hotel staff was attentive and thoughtful.

I booked a larger room for a bachelorette party and we were thrilled with both the size of the room and the luxurious experience. We had a balcony that overlooked the inside of the hotel and a nice large bathroom. The location was very close to lots of great restaurants and nightlife. I would definitely stay here again.

This hotel is beautiful! We stayed in a one bedroom suite that was fabulous! The bedroom was spacious and the "living room" was huge! We had two bathrooms that were very, very clean! The bed was very comfortable! We were very satisfied with our stay and would definitely stay there again.

Lovely hotel, location was great. This was our second visit to the Cincinnatian each time was for an event downtown. This second visit didn't seem to have the support staff to accommodate room service at 11pm and breakfast after 11am on the weekend. Staff seemed to be short handed. Otherwise, lovely location and room.

We had a great stay, everything was beautiful, very comfortable, had a terrific meal at the Palace restaurant.

My husband and I had never visited Cincinnati. The Cincinnatian Hotel was well located next to upscale shopping, restaurants, and easy walking distance to ballfields and the riverfront. We really enjoyed staying at the hotel. Employees were friendly and hotel was lovely.

Well the overall stay was nice and the staff were very friendly. But Theres no parking for the hotel unless your gonna pay $28 a night for valet parking. Theres no min fridge or microwave. Their restaurants menu is very expensive. When we were checking in and out the door man watched us open the door with the cart, so he wasn't doing his job. Don't be fooled by the pictures on the web-site. I don't think that there have been updates/improvements to this hotel for a very long time. The "fit and finish" of the hotel is very outdated. There is charm in the sense that it is historic, but there has been nothing done to mesh old with new.

This is simply a lovely hotel. The service is top-drawer. The rooms are beautifully appointed. The downstairs bar is extraordinary. Even the room service eggs were perfect.

Great location, spacious room, luxurious atmosphere. Nice to have free Wi-Fi, still a rarity at luxury hotels. Bed lacks a nice pillow-top and sheets weren't soft at all.

The hotel as nice but I wouldn't consider it to be a 4 1/2 star hotel. The beds are really hard. There isn't a pool or hot tub. Some things need to be updated. Small old TVs. The staff were very helpful and nice!

This is a historic hotel in city center, just a block or so from Fountain Square. Staff was friendly and generally accommodating. I had an atrium view room, which had a small sitting area. The room had a nice flat screen TV and the bed was extremely comfortable. Not a bad option but I would not go out of my way to stay here again.

Great location, decor is somewhat outdated. Service was great. Room was clean. HUGE bathroom. Parking is very expensive with valet. But worth it. I guess! Valet guys are quick. Would recommend it.

The staff of this hotel made it a pleasure to spend two nights in Cincinnati. They were helpful, polite, and welcoming. While they did not know m y name and who would expect that anyway, I felt that my face was remembered and I was greeted and looked after in every way possible. The hotel was spotless and comfortable. I only have 2 complaints about this hotel. 1. They still give you an old school key to get into your room. It is large and bulky and is easily lost. 2. My room window only faced into the hotel which made for a terrible view and no natural light.

I dont think I would choose this Hotel again, the lobby area was beautiful but the room was very small, no bath tub, just shower, the thermostat did not work, the room was extremely hot or extremely cold. For the money , we could have stayed else where that had everything needed and been more comfortable.

I wish I'd had more time and better weather. I was there overnight for work and it was pouring out. I would have liked to explore and find a cute dinner spot. The location looked to be fantastic.

The Cincinnatian Hotel is a classic old hotel with worn marble stairs and wooden railings - but up to date with a beautiful lounge that has live piano jazz. It is close to the Reds Stadium and the Ohio River, as well as close to many restaurants and the Duke Energy Convention Center. Classy and in a perfect location.

We were told upon check in that they try to keep things more historic in the hotel and that's why they have the old school type of keys...however when you go to your room there were laminate wood floors, cheap looking shelving that served no purpose and overall, it looked "thrown" together. The hotel was lovely and the "deluxe" king room was quite […] nice. However, I would have expected the amenities and basic things in the room to be a little nicer. The chairs in the room were a bit old and looked well used, there was no little table to set a drink on when sitting down in the chairs. An ugly chaise lounge was set over by the bathroom, it didn't quite go well in that room. The tv was old, small and very bulky...definitely needs to be updated. The door to the bathroom was strange as you could somewhat see through it and there was no privacy because of that. The bathroom was huge and open...but the vanity was small. Les mer

Great value for money. Very clean bed although the room was dated and had water stains. No coffee maker in room. Old style TV. Neighbourhood is sketchy but only for a few blocks. Staff was fantastic. We routinely stay at 4 or 5 star hotels so we're not easily impressed. The Cincinnatian impressed us. Aside from the lack of view (over the atrium, yawn) and lack of coffee-maker in room, everything was perfect.
