I would not recommend this hotel given the condition of the room and amenities did not match with the 4-star rating that I paid for. The location is perfect for tourists and convenient to many tube stations, but the room itself was not well maintained (mattress was in terrible condition, TV was not functioning, lamp/adapter plugs were not working, no […] cot available for my toddler.) My next time in London I will pay a bit more and look for a true 4/5-star hotel. Les mer

The Best Western premier Shaftesbury Piccadilly is in a fantastic location in the middle of the West End. Within 10 minutes, you can walk to many of the West End theaters, Leicester Square, and Piccadilly Circus. Hotel suited us very well for a one night stay to go to art galleries, few shops and chinatown for a meal. Our only gripe was the temperature of our room. It was so hot we had to put the air-con on to get cool enough to sleep as the radiator was off and opening the windows made no difference. This was March. The communication between hotel.com and the hotel reservation was terrible. This kind of service is not acceptable.

The Best Western in Shaftsbury Avenue was exactly as expected; comfortable and with all the expected comforts. Although the room was small, it was clean and the fixtures and fittings were of a good quality. Location was excellent for Central London and well placed for many theatres and shows. Highly Recommended.

The hotel location was fantastic. The staff, particularly Marcin were very helpful. I would recommend highly.

the hotel is in a great location particularly if you want to see theatre shows, or chinatown. The room was compact but it is the v centre of london so that was expected. Traffic was a bit noisy being so central though the windows did a reasonable job of blocking out the noise. A bit pricey but you pay for the location

Very good location. Staff friendly and helpful. Clean. Good breakfast if a little pricey for those who dont eat too much at that time of the day. Mum and I shared a twin room at the front of the hotel, not very spacious, but perfectly adequate as the only time we were there was to sleep. My sister got an upgraded room at the back of the hotel which […] was much more spacious and had a lovely leafy outlook. We had a TV in our bathroom, but it didnt work, not that we had time to watch it!! Overall a bit pricey for what you get, but the location more than makes up for that. I had a very happy, comfortable stay in this hotel. It was clean, quiet and in a great location. The breakfast was the weakest point. It was expensive for what you got and was in a windowless basement room. The gym did not look very enticing either. But there are so many great cafes in the neighbourhood I was not bothered. Rooms are fairly small but comfortable and well maintained. The location of the hotel is perfect for visits to the theatre or other West End attractions. The communal facilities are tiny and the hotel needs a 2nd lift but for a short or one night stay it is manageable.

Excellent location near the theater district and very close to soho and all of the gay bars. Also only a few blocks from Picadilly Circus. The room was small as are most rooms in London, however it was a nice room!

This hotel had one big plus - its central London location - and that's why I booked the hotel for a portion of a trip to Europe that I've been planning with my son for nearly a year. I can now say, with complete confidence, that the location of the hotel is its only positive attribute. The rooms are pathetically small. Our junior suite, for which we […] paid a significant premium, could not possibly have been larger than 75 square feet - including both bedrooms. And in this case, I'm using that term loosely - I'm not particularly wealthy, but my son's bedroom was the size one might expect of a hotel bathroom - no kidding. During a seven night stay, our room was rarely cleaned. The trash can was emptied one time. The towels were were changed just one time. And our sheets were changed just one time in seven days, despite our asking for fresh sheets on the third and fourth days. Indeed, the only way we could get the staff to clean up the room was to neatly place our trash and trash can in the hallway. Only then would the hotel staff take the trash away. The bathroom was likewise very small and needed a great deal of cleaning that it never received during our seven day stay. Bottom line: I've traveled all over the world. I understand that some hotels, especially in Europe / the UK, are smaller than Americans might be used to. But I insist on receiving value for my money - and that's what was missing from this hotel. Were I able to do it over again, I'd have spent the same amount of money booking a much nicer room in a different part of town and then taking the tube a stop or two into the area of London where we were staying. Believe the bad reviews. Avoid this property at all costs. You'll be glad you did. Les mer

Das Hotel Best Western Premier Shaftesbury Piccadilly in London liegt in unmittelbarer Zentrumsnähe, unweit der Metrostation Piccadilly, direkt angrenzend zum pulsierenden Soho, Leisteseter-Square mit all den berühmten Musicals, dem Covent Garden mit der Oper und zur Chinatown, unweit des Trafalgar Square. So eine Lage kann man sich für London nur wünschen! Auch […] die Sauberkeit des Hotelzimmers, die Freundlichkeit des Personals und die hohe Qualität des Frühstücks haben uns rundherum überzeugt!
