This is a slightly upscale hotel, but price is to be expected in Napa. Few restaurants nearby, but OK. Good breakfast and Wifi, elevator in hotel. Very good pool.

Dette hotellet ligger en grei "norsk" spasertur fra Plaza'en, der restaurantene er og underholdningen foregår, sjekk f.x tirsdagskonsertene kl 1800 på sommeren. Meget bra utgangspunkt for dagsturer til vindistriktene i nordre Sonoma og Napa (og søndre for den del, men litt lenger å kjøre). Stille område, men dødt. Frokosten er ikke noe å skryte av, gå heller over P-plassen til restauranten ved siden av.

"Fire avslappende dager....."
Hotellet ligger midt i Sonoma Valley og er et ypperlig utgangspunkt for å oppleve flotte vingårder, drikke god vin og nyte deilige dager i solen. Servicen er korrekt og hyggelig, rommene store og komfortable, treningsrom, basseng og uteområder ypperlig vedlikeholdt. Restauranten er både koselig holder høy kvalitet. Spesielt vil vi framheve frokosten, […] selv om man faktisk må bestille bord og beregne litt ventetid om morgenen. For golfere betyr det også en del at hotellet ligger mellom to gode golfbaner og gjestene får rabatt. Den dagen vi ankom ble vi endog invitert på rimelig "farmers" evening, med ølsmaking, servering av lokale spesialiteter og deilg mat med masse øl til.... Les mer

"quick but nice stay"
Everything was very nice. The staff was very friendly and service oriented.
Excellent hotel! Will be back when we need a place to stay traveling to Sonoma.
"Served it purpose"
The staff would be the reason I return. They were very reponsive to requests and made the stay worthwhile. I'm not sure of the hotel's age but, it is a bit worn around the edges. The interior halls have a odorized smell, the room doors are a bit beaten, and my shower fixture took a bit of work to stop it from leaking-I wasn't in the mood to have a plumber […] try to service it and potentially tear it apart while I used the room. The lobby and restaurant were nice. I had the buffet in the morning and the food was fresh with a nice variety. I ordered a hamburger for room service and it came quickly-tasted good but not to die for. If I couldn't find a room in Santa Rosa again, I would consider returning. "Convenient to wine tasting"
The location is fantastic. This property needs an internal face lift! It smells like an old hotel that needs to have the carpet replaced, new paint, etc. Additionally, the night we stayed there was a prom held downstairs. I would absolutely recommend this for families or people who are visiting wine country. it's a very large hotel but clean and well run. My only negative comment is that the restaurant doesn't seem large enough to handle the volume of people that this hotel could hold. The food was good though and included locally sourced food. The hotel is close the […] freeway (but not so close you'll hear traffic noise all night) making it convenient to just about anywhere in wine country, My only negative comment is that the window for our room opened directly onto someone else's balcony!! Hotel staff provide exceptional service, when I checked in I was given warm cookies and received a call in my room to make sure everything in the room was to my satisfaction. I had a problem with the water pressure and they had an engineer in my room within 5 mins to resolve the issue and follwed up with a phone call to make sure it was taken care of. "Frequent guests at this hotel"
The reservation clerk said that all the rooms with King beds were filled; it was obvious (at least by the next morning) that this was not the case. On a previous visit, they were generous in offering an upgrade to a King-bed room; not this time. No offer to pay extra for one either. It is still a pleasant place to stay. "Great spot for fido."
The initial arrival and check in went as expected. Things took a turn for the questionable when we entered our room. We chose this hotel as we were traveling with our dog, and ended up with a ground level room facing the pool area which was spectacular. However, upon entry there was a heavy artificial lemon sent lingering through the air. First thing […] we did was open the patio door to air out the room as well as lower the humidity level. After the attack on our olfactory system the overall condition of the room was older, but up to par. As with the other reviews, the walls are paper thin and there was a prom or some party that echoed through the courtyard until 12am the particular evening which we stayed. It's a basic, but clean room that's a convenient and affordable if you're traveling with fido. Bed was comfortable, linens were clean, towels were passable and room service/food prices were very reasonable. Service at the restaurant was a bit lost and chaotic, the food filled a void and when we wanted espresso drinks we were routed to the gift shop - only to realize it wasn't open. So, it's a great place to stay if you're traveling with fido. Les mer
"Fantastic Stay!"
Loved staying at the DoubleTree while house-hunting in the area. Will recommend to everyone that's needs a fantastic place to unwind. The service & staff were exceptional, food was fantastic, and the rooms were unbelievably relaxing during the stress of finding a home, it was the perfect oasis to come to each night.
Everything was pretty good except for the very weak shower heads.

The grounds of the hotel are pretty, as is the common sitting areas. The room is comfortable, but the shower was noisy, and the hotel is older. It is a good value for the money. The rooms are clean, but nothing fancy.
Our daughter goes to the university close by and we only stay at your hotel when we visit

"Great stay in Sonoma"
I stayed here with 5 friends between a day in Napa and a day in Sonoma. It was a nice change from the B&Bs in Napa that usually have terribly uncomfortable beds, thin walls, and shared bathrooms. We really enjoyed their social area complete with bar, computers, fire place, and pool table.

Coming to the area house hunting, I chose this hotel because of it's beautiful gardens, & patio. I was pleasantly surprised by the ease of location, amazing interiors & relaxing rooms, fantastic restaurant & bar staff & food. 5 stars throughout. I highly recommend!

Loved the chocolate chip cookie we received at check-in! The only reason I am giving the "quality of hotel service" a "3" rating is due to the fact they do not have a bellmen. So, my daughter and I had to lug all of our luggage up to our room, which was on the second floor and around the building. "Comfortable rooms, welcoming staff, swanky hotel"
The front desk welcomed us with cookies fresh from the oven, but that was really the icing on the cake. Beautiful lobby, comfortable rooms, and attentive staff. The breakfast buffet was also excellent.
"Fantasic place to stay."
I love this hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The only drawback is in-room internet is an extra cost per 24 hrs. You can use it for free in the lobby but not very convenient.
"perfect for the price"
For the price, i really couldn't have asked for more. We stayed here, not too far from the Russian River wineries. I'm really happy we saved money and got all of our friends to stay here. The beds were so comfy too.

"A Little Thread Bare"
Overall this is a very nice hotel. It looks like it was built in the 1980s and the rooms need updating. The problems we had with our room was the drapes were torn and the fan switch did not work. We were surprised to find this in a hotel of this quality. The service was very good and the food was fine.
"My Trip to Double Tree"
The purpose of my trip was to rest. The only thing I would suggest would be to add purchase of movies for viewing in the room. Other than that, I enjoyed my stay and the front desk staff was VERY courteous and friendly.

"A great weekend"
We were in town to do a campus tour at nearby Sonoma State University. The doubletree was very close to all the places we visited, including downtown Santa Rosa. The staff were very friendly and the room was great.
"Beautiful Hotel"
Lobby was warm and inviting; front desk service was perfect. The rooms are spacious, clean and nicely decorated. The location is perfect for visiting Bodega Bay, Sebastapol and Sonoma. Would definitely stay here again.

The only complaint I have is when we got in there were a couple of hairs in the bathtub. I expect better from this hotel regarding room cleanliness. Other than that, good comfort. No microwave, but there was a fridge. the coffee maker allowed us to make a hot beverage before we left. "Best Birthday Ever"
We just stayed here for my birthday to do some relaxation and wine tasting. One of the best hotel chains around! Super friendly and helpful staff and great pool and amenities. Their restaurant and breakfast buffet are one of the best deals around and the food was delicious. Can't wait to come back and stay here again.

The lobby and dining areas are fabulous - just beautiful. The rooms, however, are in need of serious TLC. The doors are all scratched, dented, dirty, etc., the furniture is extremely outdated but, worst of all, our bed linens were dirty!

"Warm stay"
I was at this hotel for about a day and it was a nice one. They offered cookies as we checked in and accommodated me when I made a mistake while booking the stay.
Quiet beautiful surroundings. The hotel wasn't busy. Customer service was great. The guy at the front desk was very helpful!! He gave us a list of nearby wineries. We ended up going to Castillo de Amorosa.. About an hr away but worth the traveling!! We had dinner at the restaurant at night. The food was great but portions were way too small for the […] Price.. For an appetizer, I had shrimp cocktail, and they literally give u 4 shrimps. For that price I would've bought a whole bag of shrimps. The seating was nice and romantic, by the fireplace. The room was spacious and very clean!! Overall very very satisfied with my stay. Les mer
