air conditioner could not cool whole room

My son is a student at Rhodes College and this hotel is ideally located and only five minutes from the campus. It is also right off I-240 and only 10 minutes from Memphis Airport. Hotel is very well kept and rooms are very clean. I am a frequent visitor. I love it.

This was the 2nd time that I've stayed at this hotel and I was pleased. The hotel is older and can stand some upgrades which I noticed they are working on. Other than that, I loved my stay. The staff was friendly and helpful. The bed and sofa in the room were quite comfortable. Gotta love the cinnamon rolls for breakfast in the mornings there. you can walk to downtown to beale st and such but bring shoes for that, it will take you 25 min. a taxi from downtown to the hotel was around 8 dollars...that is because you can walk that form the hotel to downtown and back but only during the day...it seems dangerous to do it in the night...that is why we took a taxi back to the hotel.

great hotel for a great price

The staff was very friendly, the room was nice, and the breakfast was awsome. Just didn't like that the hall way smelled like cigarette smoke.

The hotel was located near all the must-see sights, but far enough away to get some rest and relaxation away from the crowds. Great location and great rooms for the price. Would definitely stay here again.

6 lane road right out front of the hotel made it difficult to get in/out. Nothing within walking distance except the hospital. Other than that, the room was nice and clean. Comfy bed and my room had a fridge and microwave, all of which I needed for my weeklong stay.

Hotel was in great location and is an alright place to stay provided you don't need anything from the employees. We had to ask the front desk 3 times for blankets our first night there, blankets that were never delivered. The next day the employee cleaning rooms on our floor was able to get them for us. We were very comfortable in our room. Everything was as we had hoped. The breakfast was better than we thought it would be. The hotel is convenient to downtown and Beale St. It was very easy to get to highways to see other parts of Memphis. I would definitely choose this hotel again.

Definitely a low three star hotel but one of only two hotels available in midtown Memphis. Good security as you need it in that location. Hotel staff was very courteous the only negative is that the hotel is getting rundown and needs renovation.

This was a great place to stay. Within 2 miles of Downtown Memphis. Hotel was a little confusing due to elevator in the back of the building away from the lobby. However, Room was good and breakfast was good also.

Furniture seemed new, mattress felt great, sheets and towels were soft and clean, toiletries were nice. Relatively convenient to Beal St. ($7 cab ride). My one complaint: They ran out of hot water!!! Given, there was a big event that day and LOTS of people were getting ready at once, but still... a hotel with no hot water?

We stayed at the Holiday Inn in Midtown. it was very convient to downtown. The service was wonderful. The staff was great. The rooms were clean. We will definitely stay there again

if you need the internet this is not the place to stay otherwise not bad

I was only in town for 1 night to see a concert at Minglewood Hall and chose Holiday Inn Express due to it's closeness to the venue. It was very convenient to get to, was close to downtown, and was close to other conveniences such as restaurants and pharmacies. The room was very comfortable and clean. We weren't there long except to get ready and then […] sleep, but it was very nice. I would definitely recommend to anyone to stay here. Les mer

This place was everything I needed. It was clean, quiet and conveniently located. And the price was right. Restaurants nearby, all of Memphis' sites were not far. Front desk was extremely nice and cordial. Even offered me a fresh baked chocolate chip cookie. Yummy! If in Memphis again, will seriously consider this place for a couple of nights.

HE medical center wasgreat. It is so close to the zoo, Brooks and Memphis college of art! Perfect! Good breakfast too!

Hotel staff were pleasant and helpful. Bathroom could have been a bit cleaner but the over-all room was nice.

I feel like the staff was efficient at geeting us checked in. The room was clean. The bolt on the door had some problems; we told the front desk, but checked out before it was fixed -- we were only there one night.

very nice people at the front desk and very helpfull.got a tour to grace land at the hotel ,they pick you up and bring you back on a bus.close to railcar to go to beale street for a couple bucks!nice hotel would recommend!

We went to Memphis to see the Zoo, and this hotel was perfect in every way. Located in midtown Memphis, we had access to both the Zoo and to Beale Street, as well as several fast-food places and a Walgreen's Pharmacy. Holiday Inn Express serves a great breakfast, offers free internet, is very quiet even with a large number of guests present. Our stay at the Holiday Inn Express Memphis was great! My husband and I was very pleased with the accomodations and really love the king-sized bed. We loved the location to all the attractions and the great breakfast they offered.

I reserved and paid for a king, non-smoking. When I checked in, they only had 2 queens. Front desk said room was non-smoking, someone had smoked in room. Switched to a non-smoking room. Staff not apologetic. Older property - best thing about the stay was breakfast.

I really liked the location because once you got off the highway the hotel was right there i didnt have to spend alot of time looking for it. The room could have been equipped with microwave and refrigerator/freezer since i am a diabetic and needed a place to put my meds and cook a light snack before bedtime.

Free popcorn, really nice staff.

My son and I were visiting Rhodes College when we stayed at this hotel. The hotel is conveniently located close to both Rhodes and downtown Memphis. The hotel provided us with printed directions for Rhodes and for restaurants.

There's nothing amazing about this place, nor anything that would make me avoid it in the future. It perfectly served our purposes for a quick night's sleep while on the road.

Not a bad hotel at all. A bit basic. Not that far ( by taxi ) to Beale Street area though you would struggle to walk it in the heat. Hotel staff very helpful. Breakfast was basic but ok. The only real complaint was the noise of the air con in the room which looked very old and sounded like an industrial hoover but it did it's job and the room was cool. […] Over all no real complains as it was a 2.5star hotel. Loved the hotel. It has a great location and the staff is unbelievably friendly. The front desk called me to make sure I was happy with the room and promptly switched me when I said that I wasn't! What a proactive approach to serve the guests. The beds are very comfortable and the linens are soft and fresh not dingy looking like some places you go to. […] There are snacks, breakfast, free wifi, etc everything that I wanted for a restful night. Nice hotel... we did have an issue with a not-properly-functioning toilet, but it did get resolved quickly. The room was nice and clean, and the A/C worked BEAUTIFULLY!

we wasnt very happy with our room,we booked a king size suite and we ended up with a double bed. the room was very small and the a.c. leaked all over the floor,the carpet was soaked from the window to the bed.Tryed to get another room but being a holiday weekend they didnt have another room.
