Vi hadde et bra opphold på hotellet. God mat og kort vei til stranden. Jeg finner det imidlertid negativt at hotellet selv beregner seg "tips" i restauranten.

Beautiful hotel on gorgeous beach. Lovely and kid friendly pools. Out going, active, happy staff made us never want to leave! Returning!

Lago Mar Resort høres finere ut en det i virkeligheten er. På Lago Mar sin offisielle nettside så ser det ut som om de serverer flott gourmet mat...dette er ikke tilfellet. Minigolfbanen var full av sand, blader og søppel. Alt man kjøper på hotellet må belastes hotellrommet, det nytter ikke å betale kontant. Området rundt hotellet er ikke mye å skryte […] av. Det er laaangt å gå for å komme til båttaxi, og man må kjøre evt. ta taxi til sentrum. Les mer

We had a good time at Lago Mar. Nice location (on the beach), friendly staff and comfortable rooms. The hotel even has a deli/store with reasonable prices. Nice pool and a playground for the kids. A good choice for your stay in Ft. Lauderdale.

Staff was very friendly. The rooms were perfect size and clean. We were looking for a place that was away from all the crowds and noise and this was perfect. You have to have their breakfast buffet it was delicious as well as the dinner we are there too. We will definitely go back!!

We stayed at Lago Mar the night before and the night after our cruise. The staff was VERY friendly and went overboard to make sure our stay was an enjoyable one. The bellmen were friendly and took our luggage from our car to our room. The receptionist checked us in and my husband asked where he could mail a letter and she stamped it and took it saying […] she would make sure the letter was mailed. Then we had probably ten boxes shipped to us to the hotel and they kept them for us while we were on the cruise and delivered them to our room upon arrival. Because we got off the ship at 7am and had a full day of errands the hotel allowed us to check in at 8am as our room was ready. Most hotels will not allow you to check in until 3pm. We enjoyed the clean beach and the beautiful neighborhood and the grounds were very well kept and lawn nicely manicured. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lago Mar and will return without hesitation. We live in Costa Rica and look forward to checking out her sister hotels: The Springs and The Peace Lodge. Thank you Lago Mar for helping to make our stay a pleasant one! Les mer

This was the 1st leg of our family vacation and so happy to have found this GREAT family friendly resort!! We stayed in an executive suite overlooking the pool. It was designed perfectly for families with young children. The beds were so comfortable and plush. Our kids loved the playground, lagoon style pool, putt-putt and of course the large chess […] game. We spent there one night after a cruise and we loved it. I don't remember what room category I booked but we definitely got a lot for our money, a huge room with living space and a good size balcony overlooking pool area and partly the beach. Room and public area was very clean and nice furniture on the balcony. The pool was amazing and since the resort […] is right on the beach front we had an extended walk along the beach. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. They have restaurants and bars onsite you can avail from however we took a short taxi ride to the Galeria shopping centre. The location is very convenient if you have to go to either Port Everglades or FLL Airport. We could have stayed there easily a week, gorgeous place really. We also have appreciated the free laundry facilities before heading further to Miami South Beach for a week. I strongly recommend this place. Les mer

Spent 2 nights before flying back home. Would have loved to stay longer. Beautifully appointed room and bath. Private balcony with chairs and table. Two pools with a bar and food and flat screen tvs in a round type Tiki hut. Large children's play area. Hammocks. Many outdoor games. Had breakfast and lunch on the outdoor patio and the food was very good. […] Reasonably priced. Fitness room. Spa. All this plus a private beach right on the ocean! And free parking! Les mer

Oceanfront rooms are not really oceanfront. There are pavilions, tennis courts, restaurants in the way. The other parts of the hotel are decent, however they stick you away from the club owners staring at the tennis courts instead of the ocean. No ice machines, you have to call for someone to deliver. Bring your own beverages and ice. Amenities like […] the pools and ocean access were good. Dinner was good at the poolside restaurant, however was $90 for 2. Would not go back for $500 a night. Lago Mar is a very pretty little resort in near proximity to where the Ft Lauderdale cruise ships depart. The hotel common areas try to mimic grand hotels like the Breakers and does a nice job on a smaller scale. There are two nice pools in the front courtyard area that leads down to an expansive beach. There is a coffee shop/market and boutique on […] site as well as a full service restaurant, beach/pool bar and bar near the restaurant that opens at 5 nightly. Coffee is available each morning until 8am in this bar area. Our room was spacious and very private---one bedroom, living room with pull-out, 2 baths, and microwave and mini-fridge. On a whole the hotel was very nice, but pricey compared to other hotels in the area. However, I don't think I would really call it a "resort", just a nice hotel with amenities you pay separately for. Umbrellas and chairs were not provided---at $25 a day for shaded seating I would think a "resort" would include this. Group activities in the pool (zumba, water arobics, etc) all had a $15 fee to participate. No money could be used in the restaurant, coffee shop or market (you sign for everything) and a mandatory 18% fee was attached to everything---including purchasing a bag of chips in the market! There is no drink service on the beach, something I would expect a resort to have. All in all a nice place to spend a few days but with few amenities included. Les mer

Outstanding and upgraded room. Really first class. Hotel has the best / biggest beach in FL. Some of the common areas need a facelift, but overall an excellent place.

Our stay was fantastic! The room was large, comfortable and well appointed. We had a view of the ocean and the sunset was beautiful. The location is a must, right along the ocean and a short walk down you can send of the cruise ships with a wave. This is a family destination, but also a great couples retreat. You make the choice.

room was clean, beds only moderately comfortable-ours seemed to bowed to the middle. bathroom very clean but small-toilet and shower in same room with privacy door so others could use the sink while someone was showering or using the toilet. balcony overlooking pool and ocean very large and comfortable with two sitting chairs a lounge chair and a cocktail […] table. mini kitchen very nice and handy-mini fridge, microwave, place settings, corkscrew/bottle opener coffee maker. living area large and comfortable with a four place round table. two tvs one in bedroom one in living room. nice overall experience.... Beautiful location on the beach! Pool area was very nice as were the meals. The rooms were nice and clean but electrical outlets and bathrooms were a bit dated. Free parking was great. You need a vehicle to tour around though-not that close to shopping or restaurants. Over-all a very nice stay.

Staff was great! Hotel had everything you would need if you didn't want to leave the grounds. We did not have any young children with us but the families we saw seemed very happy & it seemed very family freindly!

Lago Mar seems quite a wonderful place to bring your family and hang at the beach. Room size is large and well-appointed. We had the king suite with pull-out for our daughter. Surprised no mini bar or food available in room, although did have mini-kitchen which would have been useful if there for longer than a weekend. Food prices very reasonable for […] room service, however. The staff is incredibly nice and helpful--once they are engaged. A great hotel for families with kids. Loved the playground with the sand underneath. Beautiful sand beaches and nice to see the cruise ships going out . We enjoyed our stay there, and very good restaurants.

I'd return. The staff is great and try their very best to make everyone happy. it's a good vibe. The little things in the hotel can be easy overlooked. From Eric the manager to the people at the restaurant buffet; they're all lovely and try hard to please the guest. They are also pleasant with each other. I think it's a winner.

Nice facility. Great location...a bit off the beaten path, but safe. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Only downside was I thought the food (dinner) was mediocre, but plenty of excellent restaurants in area (by car). Would definitely stay again.

we were there just last week, went to heal ourselves after a painful period of losing two familiy members. Just what we needed, a quiet serene resort rihgt on the beach, attracts mostly couples and families. Excellent courteous staff, i would go back. Restaurant open only to guests and members, nice presentation.

I stayed here with my husband and my 18 month old son. I loved this hotel it was everything we were looking for. I will definitely be going back. The property, beach, pool, food, service and staff was amazing.

WOW. This is a place where service is top notch. Management looked after us well. Allowed us to check in hours early. Upgraded us to a suite at no extra cost. When there was an issue with the air conditioning the manager offered to move us rooms. It was no bother to us so we said that wasn't necessary and he still gave us a coupon for the on site bar/dining […] facilities. This is going over and above. The pool and beach were great. I chose this hotel as an overnight stay after a family cruise vacation. Was extremely happy with every aspect of the resort. Staff was amazing! Rooms were well appointed, clean and comfortable. My husband commented that he would like to return in the future to enjoy a longer stay.

We were welcomed by the friendly, helpful staff, and led to our lovely suite -- spacious, clean, well-appointed, great bathroom, comfortable bed. Dinner was well-served and delicious, with a number of inventive dishes. The highlight is the outdoor space -- two big pools, one a veritable lagoon, 2 tennis courts, miniature golf, outsized chess, volley […] ball courts, outdoor cafes and bars with terrific food, and most of all, the enormous, broad beach, right on site, with no road to cross. There are chairs with umbrellas or cabanas for rent on the beach, and a short walk away on the beach is the jetty for the inlet to Port Everglades, where you can watch, spellbound, as huge cruise ships pass within a few dozen yards. Everyone at Lago Mar went out of the way to make our visit memorable. Les mer

Easy access to ft lauderdalle. Beach was clean and not busy. Food atnresort was decent for lunches. Had an old fashioned soda shop that the kids really enjoyed. Neasy walk to inlet of harbor to watch all the cruise ships come out

My wife and our 1 1/2 year old stayed here Thursday and Friday night before our cruise on the Oasis of the Seas. It was completely relaxing after our first long distance travel experience with our little one. We got a good night sleep in a quiet comfortable room (we should have got a king bed rather than two queens to give us a little more room with […] the crib) to help adjust from our Utah time schedule, spent an entire day enjoying the private beach and onsite playgrounds, watched the Friday evening ships leave port, and had the concierge arrange a $7pp shuttle to the nearby Port Lauderdale. I could have flew home happy and satisfied after a single day. The rest of our party flew to Orlando on Wednesday, tried to cram every Disney park into two days, then drove 3 hours to Fort Lauderdale Saturday morning to board the ship. They were all stressed and tired:-) We would certainly stay at Lago Mar again. Our only drawback was that the on-site food was a bit expensive. Les mer
