Dumphole. If only the room were 20 bucks cheaper... Stars would double if only the price were right. Felt dirtier after showering, magically, and I'm pretty sure I mated with a couple dozen bedbugs. Very nice continental breakfast buffet. The "surrounding neighborhood" is safe. I only gave it a 3 rating for neighborhood because there basically is no surrounding neighborhood. There are no restaurants nearby. But they are right next to a highway ramp which is 1 exit away from multiple restaurants, and they are only about 5 to 10 minutes from Athens […] and Ohio U. Les mer
"Hotels.com messed up reservation"
I reserved a room with two double beds and when I got to the Days Inn they said that Hotels.com only reserved a room with a double bed - when I asked for them to change it, they made me pay more even thought there only two other guests IN THE WHOLE HOTEL. Not only that - the manager was rude and mean. I would never recommend this hotel and at this point, […] I'm not sure I would recommend Hotels.com. Les mer

"Reasonably comfortable"
Clean enough. Bed was comfortable. But the place is nothing special. Free Wi-Fi, but it went out the last day I was there.

Clean, quite and nice staff. Breakfast was better than expected. Very close to down town Athens, which is an amazing little college town filled with arts, cafes and good music.

"Don't Stay Here..."
I stayed at this Day's Inn for four days just as the fall term was beginning, and the problems I experienced may be seasonal--but they were serious. Contractors for a cable company were filling up most of the rooms, and on my first night they were drinking (and fighting) out of the back of a truck parked right in front of my door. At ten thirty, I called […] the front desk to ask if someone would speak to them, and the person who answered said that she was an 18 year old girl, there alone, and didn't feel safe confronting the men, but she'd have the person who came in at 11pm talk to them. Someone did indeed go out to talk with them, but must have identified my room as the one that issued the complaint, because after that person left, the men shouted crude insults at my window and even peed on my door. I actually avoided evening activities related to the start of the quarter for the rest of my stay in order to avoid entering or leaving my room after dark, because I felt unsafe. Things were quiet the next night, but they gradually became more roudy again over the next two evenings. I tried to find another hotel room in town, but everything was booked. I don't recommend staying here, particularly not if you (like me) are a female travelling alone. Les mer

The room had a coffeemaker with no pot available. Also, the staff at the front desk was not friendly- to the point of being almost rude. Definitely would NOT stay there again.

I spent the night here for work. I have to be honest, the staff was super nice, and the place was very clean and taking care of. The only complaint I had was the bed was rock hard. "just not what we expected"
It was difficult to find, especially at night. Gave room that was second floor for us, an older couple. Couldn't access room til 3pm or later than we needed. Most of the time we are able to access our rooms at hotels earlier. We had to change at the party...not happy. difficult to find, but decent otherwise. Room was clean, TV worked, good water temp/pressure. I was only in the room to sleep, so suited my needs on my trip.

I needed an early check-in and was accommodated and treated very well by the concierge, Eileen. I felt she cared about my unusual situation and she provided excellent customer serivce!
I was looking for a clean room at a good price and this is what I got. When I booked online, the description said the hotel did not have breakfast, but I was very happy to discover that they did provide a continental breakfast. I will definitly stay here again. The only negative comment is that the bathroom was extremely small.

The room was good for the price, clean and comfortable. I had consistent problems with the wifi network after 8pm. I was not able to make long distance phone calls from the room, when I called the front desk, the person was nice but couldn't fix the problem. Since I arrived after 10pm my first night, I had no contact with the outside world until the […] next day. Hotel was as close to campus as you could get with out staying there. The drive was only 5 mins. The room was ok. It was kept clean and the hotel staff was accomidating.

Room was clean and serviceable - no problems noted. Large bed with lots of clean and high-quality pillows and sheets. Liottle problem with slow plumbing in sink and running toilet, but overall a pleasnt experience. Was a little out of the way and if you didn't know your back way into Athens, it could be a confusing drive to and from OU campus.

too much $$ for the quality. Smelled like stale smoke and baby powder to cover it up. Very hard to find. GPS took me somewhere else:( I just don't like having to drive to get breakfast at the "lobby". No elevator. Didn't feel safe either.

This hotel was fine for the money. With low rates, all I really want is a clean room. And it was. There is nothing in walking distance though, and it's not near the biking trail. All in all, just fine. I only stayed one night.

The sink faucet required a lot of force just to turn the water on - a yank on the single knob would turn the water on full blast, and it really did blast. The address is on Columbus Rd., but it's actually on a lane that parallels Columbus. It was a little hard to find at night. Bed was comfortable, and the room was clean when we got there. "Excel for the price"
The exras at this motel are excellent. Coffee 24/7, refrigator, microwave, flat screen TV, and contential breakfast coupled with a good bed make this a comfortable stop. The staff is friendly and helpful. If you want a wholesome place to stay in this scenic area, this is the motel.

"The price is as low as its standards."
The only thing that was good about this hotel was its price. The negatives. 1. When we checked in there was two lights that did not work. Had to wait a while until we could get someone to bring us some replacement bulbs. 2. The second night of our stay we were kept up by the manager talking on his cell phone loudly outside at 12:30am. When I asked […] if he could keep it down he looked at me blankly and continued. 3. The morning of checking out which starts at 6am. No one was there to help us check out until 7:20am. 4. "Dirty Towels"
The hotel staff was friendly, and the room was okay. However, when I went to grab a hand towel to dry my face, there was something on it. The same thing happened in the morning after my shower. Yuck!!!!! They clearly do not wash all the towels in the room after someone checks out. That's really disgusting, not to mention, probably a health hazard.
