Hotell med store rom, svømmebasseng for barna. Shuttelbuss til og fra sentrum som fungerer som passe. Plass må bestilles dagen før og en kan ofte ikke velge avgangstidspunkt!!!! Absolutt ett hotell å vurdere til dere som skal til DC. Pris er OK, store rom, fri tilgang til internett, ganske nytt og bra standard. Trimrom og innendørs svømmebasseng. Fri tilgang til PC m/printer i eget rom. Veldig praktisk med printer da vi skulle bestille bussbilletter til NY, og derfor slapp å skrive ned all info. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The shuttle bus from the hotel to Union Station worked out OK but remember to reserve your spot asap with the front desk to assure you have a seat at the time you want to travel. During rush hour the ride from hotel to Union Station takes about 20-30 minutes so plan accordingly. Non rush hour less than 15 minutes. […] The pool was nice to return to after a long day of sightseeing but, unfortunately, the hot tub was not working (the water did not heat up). Perhaps good or bad, depending on your eating habits, there were only three fast food restaurants near the hotel. The hotel breakfast worked out well for us if not "gourmet". Coffee was good. Our room was very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and courteous. Overall it was a great choice for DC where hotels can be very expensive. They do have a shuttle which will take you to the metro but make sure you book the shuttle for your entire stay when you 1st arrive because the shuttle bus is small and the morning slots can fill up quickly. […] We actually ended up staying 2 days longer then expected because we did not want to leave our very comfy king sized bed. We arrived much earlier than anticipated and the front desk attendant, Monique, was absolutely terrific, she got us into a room, upgraded us to a lovely suite, gave us maps and directions and went over the complimentary shuttle. This hotel was a great selection for a family of 5. Nothing to complain about. Nice, comfortable rooms, good breakfast included (saved us from having to get everyone ready to go somewhere to eat), convenient complimentary shuttle service to Union Station, friendly and helpful staff. Would definetely recommend this hotel to any family.

Although the hotel is a little far from the sights and attractions, it has free shuttle bus each hour to the union station and back to the hotel. It is very convenient as to the transportation. It also provides good breakfast and fast free wifi. All these above facilitate my pleasant springbreak trip!

The hotel itself is very well maintained with large rooms. There is, however, no place to walk around as it is surrounded by gas stations, fast food and other hotels. this was my second stay there no more sliverspring for me i love this hotel it's very clean and neat i told the desk clerk i hope it stay this way i made sure i cleaned up my mess for him to ask the housekeeper about my room we both smile people say they don't like the area but in this world any thing can happen any were we can't hide from that GOD […] IS INCHARGE when you need time for your self and space this is the spot to go to for peace of mind can't wait for my next stay Les mer

We stayed here because of an early morning appointment. the hotel was nice and staff friendly, but one of the reasons we stayed was because of breakfast. It was to be served at 6am. At 6:35 we still didn't have much except for a cinnamon roll and coffee. No juice (machine not turned on), no hot breakfast (told pancakes would be coming soon). This hotel is 2 miles from downtown and sites but cheaper than the hotels you would find there. There is a shuttle to and from Union station every hour though. Not in a great area. Service and breakfast were good. The room was every nice and had a lot of nice amenities.

Nice hotel for the price, very pleasant and helpful staff, near many of the DC highlights. Would definitely stay there again when in the area.

This hotel was wonderful. It's a new building, with a pool and a small gym. There is a warm breakfast every day. Our room was really great, like a little suite. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Everything was clean. The location isn't great, if you're looking to stay in DC, but the hotel offers a shuttle service to take you to Union Station […] every 30 mins in the morning and in the late afternoon/evening. Very spacious. I was pleasantly surprised at the size of my room and the bathroom. Most hotels you can't even turn around in the bathroom. The fire alarms were malfunctioning and went off 3 times in the middle of the night, but that could happen anywhere. The staff was very accomodating and compensated for the inconvenience. The hotel itself was very comfortable, clean, and conveniently close to the center of D.C. The only downside would really be the surrounding neighborhood that's not the best but definitely not the worse. The neighborhood though did not reflect at all in the condition of the hotel. Definitely worth the stay.

Hotel had everything I could want and more.

I enjoyed staying at this hotel. The service was above my expectations. However its location was too far from where my conference was held. This incurred additional travel expenses, and consumed time traveling back and forth. I would highly recommend the hotel to others.

My husband and I travel to DC every other month for business and we recently found this hotel. Though not in the downtown area, It has complementary shuttle service from 7am-noon and 5pm-10pm every day to and from Union Station. From there you can go practically anywhere on the metro. Although the area around the hotel is more commercial/industrial, it is not bad. There is a convenience store/gas station directly in front of the hotel and several fast food restaurants in the immediate area (McDonalds, Taco Bell, KFC, Checkers). we got there at 10am and they said we could not get a room till 3, i told them we were in the car since before the sun came up and they helped us find a room by 1130! i was very impressed and satisfied by the customer service

The room was wonderful, the breakfast is great, its not like most other hotels where you get to pick from a couple different cereals, they have eggs, sausage, pancakes. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the only thing I can even think to complain about, and it is very minor, the shuttle to Union station is sometimes late but it is free you just […] have to make sure you sign up for it to make sure you have a seat. I had to be back in DC 2 weeks after my first stay for business and I immediately booked the same hotel, that rates are a great deal especially if you compare them to similar hotels, if you are going to DC and you don't have to stay in a five star hotel, even though I don't imagine a 5 star hotel to be much better, I would definitely recommend staying here. Also, for those who are on business trips and not really there to vacation, the TV's in the room are new flat panel HDTV and they allow you to hook up a Xbox or PS3 for a little night time entertainment before bed, unlike many hotels who intentionally block the ability to do this. I was surprised by how nice the rooms were at the hotel. Very modern and comfortable. Also, not far from DC proper in a car.

Assistance with getting baggage to and from the lobby to your room would add and important level of service. Better explanation at the beginning of your stay about the shuttle service so that it is clear the service is available every 30 minutes versus every hour because they work in conjunction with the Marriott next door. very nice HI express. Its just as you would expect it to be. Nice room. Nice bed. HD tv. A nice breakfast. They have a van that runs to union station in the morning and in the evening for free. It doesnt pick you up. A cab ride from union station is about 11.00 for 2 people. a bit cheaper for 1 person. Staff wasnt overly friendly but not nasty either. […] Kinda just how it should be. The neighborhood is soso. Food around the hotel is all fast food. We never felt unsafe coming back late. Parking is reasonable rate with in/out privileges. They have plenty of parking. I would not recommend this hotel unless you don't mind waiting for the shuttle to pick you up at the terminal for 2 hours to take you back to your hotel. The hotel is about 20-25 mins away from the Union Station (where they drop you off to take the subway into DC). You've to make reservation ahead of time to take the shuttle (not a problem). On the […] way back, the last shuttle is at 10PM. However, the space is limited. We got there around 6PM, and it was full so we had to wait for 30 mins. However, the next shuttle didn't come until 2 hours later. Good luck if you want to stay here. Also, they charge you daily parking fee! Les mer

A group of my family members stayed at this hotel while visiting my son who is in school there. The hotel was convenient and easy to get to. The staff was very courteous and the amenities were great. Who can beat this deal? Wonderful breakfast every morning free to adults and children. Pancakes, biscuits, yogurt, boiled eggs, cereal. OK enough with breakfast-my family misses it. My family and I were very pleased with our stay at this Holiday Inn Express. The rates were great. The hotel was clean and the staff was very helpful. The free breakfast was great. The shuttle they have to Union Station is very convenient and gives you access to the Metro System that can take you just about anywhere. My vacation was completely screwed up with the cheating behavior of this hotel (as well as hotels.com). I am going to file a detail complaint report to the consumer affairs to detail my nightmare experience and the cheating business practice involved so that others can avoid suffering.

Fairly new hotel and decor! Staff was courteous and helpful. Surround neighborhood not a walk in the park but not eminently dangerous. Perfect for budgets requiring accommodation $$ relief. This was our 2nd best/#2 hotel (out of 11) on a recent road trip from FL to NJ & back. The location, in a not-so-nice area of the city at first concerned us but we obviously changed our mind once we stayed there. We were pleased with our room it was spacious & clean. The staff was good, they provided us directions to Arlington Cemetery but the directions […] were confusing. The pool was wonderful/one of our favorites on the trip. Very good stay. Good breakfast. Shuttle is handy, it takes you to Union Station from there you can get anywhere in D.C.

Great hotel, gleaming and new. was disappointed with the area which, although on a map looks quite central in the scheme of DC is actually pretty rough, just north of trinidad.

The hotel staff was friendly However, the location was an industrial area with a lot of outside noise in the early mornings (trucks and beeping sounds at 3 and 4 AM) and I did not feel safe within the neighborhood (factories, fences, empty lots, etc). The jacuzzi did not work for two days. The shuttle bus only takes you to Union Station and to the Convention […] Center and then you are on your own. You have book the shuttle bus in advance because they only have room for about 10 people at a time and it travels every hour. Not what I had read or expected from the description of amenities. This hotel was clean with a nice pool for the kids, but by car it was very difficult to get out of. It's a mile or two from a metro station as well which made it not very easy to get into DC.
