Britannia Sachas Hotel City Centre - Manchester

Htellets standard var svært slitt og manglet vedlikehold.Rengjøringa både på rom og i hotellets oppholdsrom var ikke tilfredsstillende. Hang f.eks. store lysekroner i inngangspartiet, de har ikke sett støvklut på mange år. Rommet vi hadde var skittent, og badet holdt på å falle sammen, belegget på gulvet var i biter, badekaret var forferdelig. I det hele tatt ett " skit" hotell.

Hotellet er veldig ned slitt, jeg bodde der første gang i 2001, det var slitt da og vedlikeholdet har nok vært nedprioritert lenge før det. Skal du på tur med din bedre halvdel vil jeg ikke anbefale dette hotellet, men om du skal på guttetur er dette et bra hotell til en veldig bra pris. Beligenheten er veldig bra. I kjelleren har den en bar det altid er bra stemning. Baren er et samlingspunkt for flere Nordmenn som er på fotballtur, fint sted og starte kvelden siden det er happy hour og veldig billig drikke. Jeg vil ikke anbefale og spise på restaurante, dårlig service, forholdsvis dyrt og dårlig mat.. Det er flere restauranter like i nærheten av hotellet. Jeg kan anbefale frokosten

Svært god pris på rommet og god plassering midt i Manchester sentrum. Hotellet trenger oppussing, men rommet var ganske stort. Negativt at man må betale for svømmebassenget og treningsstudio, selv om det ikke er spesielt dyrt.

Dobbeltrommet var romslig med dobbeltseng, bord og et par stoler og skap og kommoder. Badet holdt ikke høy standard, men fungerte. Vinduene kunne ikke åpnes helt og er glad vi ikke fikk rom som er uten vinduer....

Helt ok hotell for 2 netter, belligenheten er ypperlig og prisen og! bestilte twin rom, men fikk dobbelt rom....

Hotellrommet lå vendt innover, og hadde således ikke noe vindu. Det hadde heller ikke et fungerende aircondition-anlegg: det bråket noe voldsomt, og ga ikke den temperaturen på lufta som det var innstilt på. Madrassene var svært dårlige for en person med ryggproblemer. I tillegg ble tannbørsten til en av gjestene fjernet fra rommet - trolig by accident, men likevel.

Perfekt beliggenhet er det eneste positive å si om dette hotellet. Resten er bare et sorgens kapittel uten like. Fra første møte med resepsjonen føler man seg direkte uønsket. Her står ikke kunden i fokus, de forsøker ikke å hjelpe til. Rommene var skitne og vemmelige, ventilasjonen fungerer bare på noen få rom og bråker noe fælt. De har tom. hotellrom uten vindu!! Kort oppsummert: God beliggenhet, dårlig standard, dårligere renhold og kanskje den verste service jeg har vært borti i manns minne.

Hotellet er i forfall. Rommet var et innvendig rom uten vinduer verken ut mot gate eller mot innvendig atrium. Når da i tillegg airconditiion ikke fungerte ble det en svett affære...Beliggenheten til hotellet er bra, men det er også alt

Ingen vindu på rommet, TV virket ikke, aircondition virket ikke. Skittent vegg til vegg teppe på gulvet.

Besøkte Sachas 26-29.9 og var godt fornøyd. det ligger helt perfekt til midt i sentrum, rett ved Arndale senteret. Deilig boblebad og helt OK rom. Vil abslutt anbefale hotellet mtp den gode prisen.

Uncomfortable beds, the shower didn't work properly, and the elevators was down for maintenance. The TV's didn't work properly in several of the rooms. But the location was nice, and a friendly staff tried to make the stay as good as possible.

The staff were a little unfriendly on arrival, but helpful all the same. We were offered breakfast for a discount (only £5 instead of £10). The room was clean with everything we needed, just a little old fashioned nithing however to complain about. The bar was friendly and cheap. It is also one of the best locations in the city being situated in the Northern quater with an excellent range of pubs, bars and restaurants. The breakfast turned out to be pretty disgusting, alot to offer but none to appetizing. Overall a good stay for the price.

My boyfriend and i recently spent a weekend at the above hotel.We did enjoy our stay, and there was a choice of either breakfast in the room, or breakfast in the dining room which we do recommend. On arrival we were offered a smoking or non smoking room,which was a good idea as my boyfriend smokes.However, we realized that th room did not have a window,and was inadequate lighting. We thought that because we did not have a window,the other rooms did not have a window.But we were wrong. Apart from that we were just glad to have somewhere to sleep whilst in Manchester.

There was no window in the 1st room. The bedroom hadnt seen a hoover in sometime. The bed needed to be condemned. The Bathroom contained black mould round the bath, The Sink unit was chipped down to the bare wood. Requires a complete refurbishment. On the second day we moved rooms- it was a bigger room, once again required dusted and hoovered. Bed was slightly better although not up to expected standard. Bathroom - had a spa bath, however the slime round the jets, showed signs that this had not been cleaned in some time. If they tested either of the bathrooms for legionally, i am without no doubt they would be shocked at the outcome.

the hotel has a central location close to a lot of clubs and the boutique shop district, that's all the good stuff dealt with! the outside condition looked so delapitated i thought it was a derelict building, well that was a taster of what the inside had to offer! the coridoors were grimey and stank of cigarette fumes, the lifts did not work properly and sent us up and down the building several times, the room was disqusting! the bathroom had no ventilation and smelt of sewage, the ceiling had an attractive 'blood' type stain all across the wall, the decorations were rather distressed but given they have been there since the 60's is no surprise, the bed also had pubic hair in the sheets. we had no window which although claustrophobic was probably a blessing given the dirty back alleys surrounding the building! The food was disgusting and rubber eggs had been standing for several hours before serving. The staff were nice given the dismall working environment but the hotel was so vile i would never stay there again and certainly not reccomend anyone else do either!

Reception staff were very pleasant and helpful. Got to the room, which was a free upgrade due to our late arrival. 3 out of 5 lightbulbs missing!!! Hairdryer not working, no hot water for shower. It served the purpose as we were only staying 1 night, but rather dissappointing. One very good point was the excellent full breakfast for only a £5!!!!!!

The room was clean and large.Didn't expect to have no window and surprised how thin the walls were as i could hear was was going on next door. Hotel is in a great location for shopping and nightlife. I would stay here again because of its location.

me and my girlfriend stayed at this hotel on wednesday the 3 of august it is lovely and clean however we were woken in the early hours of the morning by people slamming there room doors continuosly not only this but our double bed was the most uncomfortable thing i have ever slept or attempted to sleep in. All this made our stay very disapointing and therefore we would not recomend it its so noisy.

stayed at hotel 3 years ago but no changed and needs complete overhall. Dirty carpets, lift.The room was not clean and hairs over bath and bathroom floor. Old kettle part on floor near TV. Breakfast was awful, cheap as chips but still wouldnt stay there again

We were fortunate enough to get some R & R after a week camping in Aviemore or so we thought!!!! This should have been the perfect end to a very perfect holiday with my boyfriend. However when we got to the hotel we were so disappointed with the room. It could only be best described as a broom cupboard with a bed. It was very very hot and the A/C did not work. No window or ventilation. The bathroom was outdated and dirty. The headboard was not attached to the wall or bed and constantly banged against the wall, even on moving (forget romance). However I will say that despite all that the staff are very very nice and very helpful. The facilities are very good but very upset about the condition of the room we were given!!!!

Very nice, comfortable room right off Manchester Piccadilly. You get the sense this used to be a very posh hotel from a bygone era. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Good restaurant service and great prices.

quiet hotel 25 yards form town centre shops etc close to railway station etc,

First time in my life I've slept in a hotel room with no windows - and no air conditioning. It must have been at least 28 celsius.

I always book through Hotels.com. I have been traveling to Europe nearly every year for 6 years and never been disappointed in the hotels I have booked. They are always exactly what Hotels.com says they are if 4 star or 2 star. The prices at Hotels.com are always lower than the prices would have been if I had booked on my own...which is easy these days with the internet. I certainly will continue to book through Hotels.com. The Britianna Sachas was a lovely hotel very convenient to the main downtown area of Manchester, England. And I would recommend it to anyone.

Only stayed for one night but i would not hesitate to book again. Very friendly, efficient welcome. Hotel clean & well maintained, good value tasty breakfast. Location excellent for shops, bars & Arena. Felt safe &confident walking back to hotel from the Arena. Only fault very hot in room as no windows. It was large & bright (air con did not seem to work) but would not book the same if staying more than 1 night or summer.

I liked the hotel...as hotels go this was nice. The room was comfy and the bedding very clean. I booked this hotel as I wanted to use the facilites as I was a woman on my own in a different town. I didn't expect to have to pay extra to use the gym or swimming pool/jacuzi. The exterior of the hotel is quite grim, but once inside, it's like a palace compared. However the stench of urine and vomit is not what I wanted to walk through in order to get to my accommodation. I also found the off-street location intimidating especially at night.

The economy room was very poor standard, small and uncomfortably warm.

This hotel was very central,very clean and staff were friendly.Rooms were clean,and had the basics right.I would stay there again.

good location right in the middle of the city. ideal for staying in if attendending a football match in manchester

perfect in every way.from the location in the heart of everything.the spacious and clean bedroom with a huge bed and smoking or non smoking option..the pound a pint during happy hour and the all you can eat brekkie for a fiver..perfect in every way..oh and for those who want to take a dip or pump the muscles yep they got that as well.

This hotel is in an excellent location just five minutes walk away from main shopping area and huge shopping mall. Close to transport for football grounds etc. Staff are friendly and helpful, rooms are clean and comfortable and value for money. My only disappointment is the food. One of the reasons I continued using this hotel is because of the excellent food, especially the buffet breakfasts. I usually would have breakfast at 9 a.m. By that time it seems that its just whatever is left, even though breakfast ends at 10 a.m. Even at 9 a.m. the food is cold and has been sitting for a long time and not fresh. I have also had a couple of carverys lately and they were not good. Im not hard to please by any means but the food is now a disappointment.

Staff were very friendly but the room was next to a laneway and the noise was unreal at about 4.30am. Some double glazing would increase this hotels market ability

when arrived waited in line to check in 25/30 mins rooms need a make over asap had meal it was very very poor and only warm would not eat in this hotel again bath /shower room was very poor with mouid around sink and bath and up walls also could not change temp on bath or shower hot or very very hot would not go cold

hotel is clean and staff friendly, my only fault was that the fire alarm was tested at 9am sunday, i appreciate these test need to be done but why so early!!!

quite comfort and attraction with good position

this hotels only plus is its location, the interior rooms are like being in prison. its too hot or too cold really old fixtures and fittings, bathroom was the pits and the bed was a joke with comedy nises to go with every movenent, pay the extra or go a travel in!!!

I booked this hotel as a cheap room when my boyfriend and I went to a concert in Manchester on Friday. I hadn't expected it to be quite as CHEAP as it was though! Not only was there no shower, there was also no radiator and the room was freezing! Also, there was barely a mattress - it was more like a collection of springs covered by a sheet. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone...pay a little extra and go anywhere else!

Good Value

The lifts were out of action so you had to wait over half an hour for the service lift to arrive. The staff were patronising, rude and unhelpful. The room clearners couldn't even be bothered to make the bed which had springs popping out of it and finally the fire alarm went off and after walking down from the sixth floor, one of the other guests told us that it was a false alarm and that they couldn't work out how to switch it off so we had to put up with that for most of the night! I don't think I will be rushing back.

The hotel was good value for money. The only minus point was the windows in my room, which looked very old.

From the check in staff who were friendly to the great value comfortable rooms. I would recommend Sachas to anyone.

If someone with a lot of money could just invest in this hotel and give it one major over haul it would be fantastic

On arrival found the receptionist very friendly and a bonus being able to check in some 3 hours early. Room was clean and spacious, although the hotel could invest in new beds and more upto date furnishings. On my stay the hotel was upgrading the lifts so only a service lift available, so usually had to use the stairs and I was on the fifth floor.

Execellent hotel and perfect value for money.

Really enjoyed the stay at Britannia Sachas Hotel in Manchester, gonna be visiting there every month at least 2 times or stay for couple of days next time. Very good stay and loved the place inside the manchester city centre near all the shops train station and coach station few mins walk.

The hotel looks great on the website but is old,tired, and cold. The lifts did not work and one of our rooms had a whole in the ceiling. The rooms were cold as the heating di not work. The pool as advertised was extra - so why mention it ? Breakfact was of poor quality. The staff were friendly but really this is not enough. My advice - avoid it !
