Rooms were pretty small, upon booking over the phone with hotels.com I stated I wanted one queen and two double beds bc we order two rooms and that we wanted different floors. When we arrived both rooms were two double beds and located next to each other, clearly not what I requested, I being on a tight schedule this took them a bit of time to figure […] this and this made me angry, after ten minutes of waiting the situation was resolved. Staff were friendly and first impression of the hotel was great. Rooms were par and the hotel was nice and clean. Only complaint was the location. Kind of hard to get to as it is located in an industrial park. And there are no bars in the vacinity of the hotel.

when you book a room here, ask for a single bed and you will most likely get a jacuzzi suite. We did and it was a pleasant surprise.

Staff were very pleasant and helpful; we had a room with a 2 person whirlpool tub; unfortunately the motor to operate the jets was so loud we had to turn it off to hear each other speak; nice walk in shower but shower head could have used a cleaning to increase the pressure and amount of water coming out; hotel had many families "socializing" in the […] halls, however, everything was very quiet after 11pm; bed was comfortable but recommend bringing own pillows - ours were very lumpy as were friends pillows who also stayed at the hotel; good parking; location is in an industrial park area of Stoney Creek; overall the hotel stay was pleasant; just don't expect extras. The hotel is located in an industrial area, it is a bit tricky to navigate the entrance but once there everything was very good. The hotel is not far from Lake Ontario - you need a car.

Everything was fine. Clean room, clean lobby, nice front desk help, free parking, great free breakfast. Only one minor thing just so if you are very picky, in our room the white floor tiles in the bathroom have white grout that looks sort of greyish blackish now, and a few cracked tiles in the tub, but no big deal. Like I said everything other than […] that was really good. The breakfast was more than a typical continental breakfast, there was cheese omelets, sausage, toast, juice, coffee, cereal, yogurt, fruit basket, pastry and bagels. A fair size eating area. I was not dissapointed here. Its in sort of an industrial/commercial area but for the price if I go to Hamilton again I will reserve this place. Why take chances. Just a note- If you have a choice, some rooms face the highway and some face the rear, the rear is more peaceful. Les mer

It would be nice if hotels would consider putting hardwood floors in hotel rooms, as it would eliminate the bacteria and odors and be more hygienic. There was an odor in our room due to the carpet and the carpeting was not clean.

The hotel is old and weathered in an industrial area of Hamilton. The room was small, bathroom wasn't very clean (hair around the sink), AC in the room wasn't working very well and the hallway and the elevator had none. Overall the hotel is old, weathered and overpriced. Would not stay there again.

Great hotel. Nice Breakfast included. Staff were always friendly and very helpful. Rooms nice and clean. Beds are very comfortable. A/C in room worked very well, but no A/C in halls and lobby.

We stayed here because it was a halfway point between travel stops. Overall, the hotel was just fine, although it's certainly a bit away from the center of Hamilton. The staff were very friendly. There are restaurants nearby, on the shores of Lake Ontario, but the one we chose was average at best. booked a room with two doublebeds, only to find out that the second bed is a pullaway. We had the roughest two nights ever, away from home.This was my first time staying at a holiday Inn, and YES, it will be my LAST!

This is a nice, basic middle of the road hotel. The staff are awesome: friendly and providing excellent asssiatnce with directions to places and great room service. The rooms are small, but the beds are okay, as is the shower. Breakfast is complementary and the selection is OK, including the hot sausage and eggs side of things. The room where we eat […] breakfast is small, so watch out for seniors who think its a great place to visit and nurse that one cup of coffee. We had to take our food back to the room one of the three days we stayed there. Overall, nice basic place to stay. Finding the hotel is an issue: you need a GPS as the location is great, but the roads in are circuitous. There is a restaurant attached to the hotel; prices were ok, and the food was satisfactory. Spending extra for the Junior Suite was not worth it! The room was the same as a standard, except for the mini fridge/micro. Nice trucking operation outside the window. Kids loved the backup beeping of the trucks!

Overall I had an excellent experience.Staff was friendly and efficient.Beds were comfortable.I only had a short stay,so it is difficult to say alot about it.The hotel met my basic needs.My children also came with me and were satisfied with their room.

I booked with Holiday Inn hoping for quality and value. The hotel was located at the end of an industrial street, the type of street you hope your car doesn't break down on as the atmosphere is shady. The hotel itself was old and weathered. A dozen teenagers with 40 ounce bottles in each hand staggered out as we returned to our hotel at 11:00, shouting […] and drunk. Our room was was non-smoking but smelled of stale smoke, was cool and we tried to warm it with the old electric baseboard heater but the racket was too loud to keep it on for long. We phoned front desk to request blankets but were told we would have to go down to get them ourselves, we didn't as we were already in bed, so we untucked our bedding and folded it over double to keep warm. Will not recommend, nor return . Les mer

Overall our experience was positive. Morning breakfast was varied with hot and cold offerings. After the race there was bottled water,juice, fruit and cereal bars. Staff was friendly and accomodating. Our last night spoiled it all. We were wakend by a very loud TV in the adjacent room. We called the front desk at approximately 1 a.m. to ask that the […] TV be turned down. We heard the telephone ringing next door, at which time the volume was reduced moderatley. I called again (after no sleep) and spoke to the front desk. They explained that a guest cannot be asked to turn off the TV. We understand that however, we are also guests.. We have asked for a return call from one of the managers. We have not received any calls to date. With all of the runners in the city for this event we would also have appreciated a shuttle to the start/finish. Our cab rides to the Copps Coliseum averaged $30. I expect more from a Holiday Inn. I purchased a last minute room based on 2 adult, 2 child (12 and up). I received a queen and pull out couch. I was not expecting a sound sleep but surprisingly the couch was comfortable for the children.

This hotel is older and below average. I arrived late my first night and found the toliet preplugged. When I called the front desk I was given two options: move rooms after just getting settled or unplug it myself. Really? Plung someone elses toliet. Didn't get much better than that the rest of my stay. Didn't help my room was above the fitness room […] so I heard the loud TV in there until 12pm-1am every night. Les mer

I was surprised to see the condition of this hotel after reading some other reviews. I found this hotel to be neither clean nor comfortable. I booked 2 nights via Expedia and expected the usual Holiday Inn standard, nothing great, but certainly something better than what I found. The lobby and hallways of the hotel are deceving, as the appear fresh […] and new; however the room itself was close to deplorable. A standard no frills room with a lumpy bed, and awful bathroom- dirty old tiles and soap scum in the shower.In addition, it backs to a truck yard and the lights and noise of trucks at night made an uncomfortable night's sleep worse. Had I not booked a nonrefundable room I easily would have canceled right away, but in a pinch (It was new years eve) we stayed both nights- however were quick to spend a third night at the new Best Western down the road! The hotel is clean. The front lobby nicely furnished. The room my husband and I got was larger than average, and quite comfortable. The elevators, however, need to be replaced. The dented doors close with a screech, and it bumped and rocked and the elevators go up or down.
