Found an old dried up contact lens withered on the table next to the bed. Leaking facet and an AC unit that sounded like it was going to blow up any minute.

Clean room and quite during the day (we were working nights). Thier hot water circulation system is out and could use some work. It indicates that the maintenance on this site is not up to par. All in all it was worth the price the price we paid and pretty much what I except for the price.

My trip was a last minute getaway with friends, family and pet. Hotel was just great, good price, pet friendly, breakfast and excellent service.

Needed a place to stay the night before a flight. Ended up arriving a day early and the staff was able to accommodate. Had noisy neighbors the first night. was able to move to a different room the second night which was better. This hotel served the purpose.

Confortable but if we stay at the room 3 persons, I expect found 3 bath towels and it wasn't, the TV service is poor, old tube TV, the TV control was broke , I report yhe problem in the front desk and they changed me the control , the phone was broke to call the reception or local calls, I report the problem they fix the problem next day. We checked in late on Memorial weekend. The room they gave us smelled like cat urine. We had the room changed because we could not even breathe in there. They were booked so they switched the room with someone who had not showed up yet. (Sorry if they did.) The next room was not that much better. Could not even bring myself to sleep under the covers. […] The sheets were stained and the bedspread probably was not changed in years. I even saw a patch sewn onto it. The room was clean and neat. We requested extra towels but they had non left, thus we were not able to shower. Our room phone was not working ROOM 205, thus I had to call the lobby on my cellphone every time. On our second night, both our keys were not working, so we could not get inside. At the lobby, nobody was there for about 20 minutes. I called […] several times from my cellphone too, and i even called the 1800 hotel number to get the centralized customer service assistance. Before they could answer me the lady receptionist came to the lobby. I mentioned that both keys were not working and she activated them once again. What she did wrong was that she activated room 205 and 206. When i heard that, I said I was only staying at room 205. She asked me for the key back and apologized. She never asked for my ID to make sure I was staying in room 205, which made me worry a little about my safety. Les mer

I used to love this hotel .. But I am never ever staying there again. Night audit person shouldn't even work at this hotel she's so rude . She shouldn't even be working there at a hotel. There was nobody at the recepiton at out arrival and we were not the only guests waiting. Rooms are clean but look old, old TV and old funrniture.

Good place to sleep and shower between a trip to six flags and Riverwalk/Alamo. Not the cleanest room but good enough for the price. Air feeds from outside so if anyone is smoking in the vicinity it comes right into the room. Very convenient to six flags and not far from downtown San Antonio.

I just chose the hotel because of the cheap rate. Breakfast was not the best. I got diarrhea after eating the scrambled eggs. But the room was decent. Cleanliness was average. Good for a short stay. The staff was nice. The room when i first entered was too stuffy. I just opened the door and put the AC on full blast. It was good after that.

Very Central location to Sea World and River-walk,and just down the street Fiesta Texas; the room was Clean, but did need some cosmetic touch-up especially in the Shower and bathroom. We had to throw ourselves against the door to open it. It was so stuck we almost gave up. They wanted us out as soon as possible and kept pounding on the door. I'll be back!! Close to shopping, restaurants, easy access to major highways. Clean spacious & comfortable room. Breakfast hours could be a little longer-may until 10am. I was on vacation so I slept past 9am most mornings. Nice to have a fridge and microwave in the room as I didn't want to spend all my money eating out. The staY WAS VERY GOOD LIKED THE BREAKFAST EVERY MORNING, HOUSEKEEPING WAS FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL . AND ONLY ISSUE WHEN I WAS THEIR LAUNDRY FOR HOUSEKEEPING WAS DOWN EITHER THEN THAT RECOMMEND AND WOULD STAY HERE NEXT TIME I VISIT SAN ANTONIO.

My sister and I enjoyed our stay very much other than the problem that is following. We appreciate the staff there. Much personality. We were only 30 minutes from our final destination.The only reason for the 3 and 4 was: The toilet kept refilling about every 15 minutes. The tank leaked out that much water. We booked this hotel for a last-minute stay in San Antonio. It was a great price, and the room was comfortable and fairly clean. The hotel is pretty outdated, but that doesn't bother us. The staff at Howard Johnson Express were above and beyond. I wasn't satisfied with my first room, so they allowed me to check 2 others and pick which one I preferred. I thought that was extremely accommodating. I was very satisfied with the one I picked. It was clean and very comfortable to stay in. I had to have a place to crash prior to a medical appointment with a 5 am showtime. The hotel was conveniently placed to allow me to get to my appointment without excess travel. The building is starting to show some wear and tear and needs some TLC. The paint in the bathroom was pealing around the shower stall and you could see that mold was building […] under the paint. Overall ease to locate hotel, this was spring break week so hotel was full, no extra pillows nor towels. we put the DO NOT disturb sign on the door when we left each day and with this you would expect for housekeeping NOT to come into your room but they did anyway.
