Coral Reef Inn & Suites - Alameda

Hotellet ser ut som ett vanligt bostadsområde. stor lägenhet med egen ballkong,stor spis,kylskåp micro,kaffebryggare,soffa, bord med 4stolar. tv i vardagsrummet, och tv på rummet. Det fanns inga køkredskap. mycket trevligt hotellpersonal ville hjälpa oss med allt, Detta hotell har ett bra läge som gjorde oss så glada.

Personnel were very courteous. Parking was excellent and premises were well kept. Rates were reasonable. The room was spacious, but the cleanliness of the carpet and floors were lacking. Walking around in the room in white socks proved this. The couch was very uncomfortable because of the springs and cushions pushing back in the couch. We enjoyed our stay at Coral Reef Inn and Suites so much we extended our stay 2 days. No listings were available on Hotels.com so we paid the regular room rates. It was still a good value for the comfort and cleanliness, and the chance to stay in Alameda longer. Highly recommend.

I found the people very friendly and helpful. There were no plates, etc for the kitchen, but paper and tine plates worked well. Great location across from a very pleasent mall. Right on the bus route that goes directly to the BART. I would definitely stay there again.

We were so pleased and impressed with Coral Reef Inn and Suites that we extended our stay for 2 days. The inn was booked up so we had to upgrade to a suite, but were allowed to stay in the same room all 3 days. The inn is very convenient, very quiet, and well maintained and clean. Will recommend to anyone staying in the area.

Everything was decent except if u walked on the floor in socks or barefeet your feet were black in about 10 minutes. And that was after they vacuumed

Hotel was noisy - I could hear people walking to their rooms. I could also feel the ground shake as other people walked by. The room was clean, but not in good shape - stains and scratches on the furniture, etc. Mattress was very hard.

The facility location was great, the walls are very thin so its hard to sleep if you have noisy neighbors. Couch was soiled/stained but I didn't really use the living areas. Overall was fine nothing too extremely wrong. TV was very old but had standard channels so no complaints. It was just an OK stay.

Quiet location, across the street from major outdoor shopping mall restaurants, grocery stores, unique shops and name brand chains,half-block walk to bay shoreline with walking paths and bird sanctuary. About 2.8 miles from Oakland Airport car rental locations. Can access Bart rail system by bus from the mall.

We weren't thrilled when we pulled up, based on the outside appearance and the party in the parking lot next door, but it's a nice hotel and we had a good stay. It appears to be a 1950s converted apartment building (which it may be?) and it definitely shows better in daylight. Staff was nice, room was huge, we had an upexpected kitchenette, and even […] though we were right on the road side of the building, we heard no traffic (or the partiers next door) all night. Old apartment complex converted to hotel. Rooms are spacious - but the full kitchen comes with NO utensils, plates, cookware, glasses etc. Bed was VERY firm. Clean and nice view (room overlooked lagoon). Quiet neighborhood. Very close to restaurants and grocery. Good value for the money.

The hotel was not perfect. But we really enjoyed it. Pros: -Perfect location. -Joyce was very nice and friendly. -home away from home. -Great price. -Kitchen made us feel home. -Fed the birds and kids loved it. - Very friendly people - Lots of storage and very large rooms. -Over all enjoyed it Cons: -Not enough cooking stuff. Had to go and buy a pot. -House […] keeping was skipped and forgotten one day - Not enough towels. They had to gather the towels, wash them and then bring them back. No towels in the mean time. - Uncomfortable pull out bed. Will go back again. But will bring more towels and pots. Les mer

We upgraded to an apartment with full kitchen and a view of the lagoon rather than looking into another building. What a surprise when we realized the place was completely stripped out, with only 1 dinner plate, 1 salad plate, 1 fork, knife and spoon to use. The bed was comfortable, but the blankets had burn holes in them and the living room upholstery […] was not clean. We preferred to have breakfast in, so had yogurt and berries in one of the paper cups provided for the coffee maker. Couldn't even boil an egg. Les mer

We have been traveling from LA to S.Francisco... We stayed in many hotels along the route... this one was by far the worst we slept in. Our room had no hot water so....no shower :(( . No help whatsoever from the front desk person. They offerred a key of another room for us to shower .... we did not use it... what for? we left early in the morning and […] checked in to another hotel ... much better half of the price. The girl at the desk, patricia, was alone on new years eve & still handled everything well & in a quick manner! She was a huge help!

We enjoyed our stay at Coral Reef. The room was big and comfortable and had a kitchenette as well (no pots and pans though, but we probable should have asked ;-) The people were very nice and helpful. The inn is located across the street from a mall with supermarkets, bookstore, etc. With your stay you get wi-fi, as well as access to a health club a […] few blocks away. Les mer

A very pleasant place to stay...Everything was more than satisfactory except the check in which took close to 30 minutes because they were under staffed at the front desk.....

The "hot" water was barely adequate to take a brief warm shower. I never asked about it, but it was this way every morning for four days. The oven didn't work, either. Otherwise the staff was courteous and helpful and the room was comfortable and quiet. Next time, I would check these and other items out first before settling into a room.

I stay here every motnh for the past 5 years. Recently upgraded carpet and bedding were a nice upgrade. Spacious rooms, small kitchen included. Walk across the street to the Sushi House and other fine restauraunts. 1/2 block from beach and great running.

This is not the fanciest nor newest hotel, but it is THE BEST for customer service. I stay here once a month for business, and I feel like every guest is treated with such care and respect that you don't often get with hotel staff.

I would recommend the hotel due to the nice location but not a room to close to the water because of the smell from it.

old not comfortable madrases ( almost like sleeping on plywood ), room sprayed with some perfume to " kill " odor and smell on old and fealty. Only good thing is convenient location and 2 separate rooms ( Sofa in living room and extra bedroom ). Not even good for construction work

Over all the room was clean. At 3am the people next to us started yelling and being disruptive. All together the hotel was noisy. The room was nice. The front desk person needs some people skills amd is not familiar with the area which was a problem to someone that is not from the area. The bath tub had old pain splashes in it like when they pained […] thay didn';t bother cleaning the tub. It was good value for what I paid. The proximity from the Oaklanc airport was good. Les mer

Obviously, this inn was in its heyday when the Alameda Naval Air Station was still open. I was surprised that my room had a small kitchenette including an electric stove, and also by the HUGE size of the room, but I can completely imagine how useful it would have been to some Navy pilots in Alameda for training or whatever. I found the inn to be completely […] acceptible, VERY quiet, and despite its obvious age, quite comfortable and clean. The proximity to the Alameda Town Center Mall with its several restaurants and stores was also a major plus. The inn is definitely worth the modest prices, and I will undoubtedly stay here again in the near future. Les mer

Main complaint were the beds. Hard as a rock, squeaked every time you sat down or moved so didn't get much sleep. Could feel the springs in the beds they were so old! Continental breakfast was a joke. Went down at 8 and they were out of donuts. So my 10 year old had a choice of bran flakes, frosted flakes or toast. Coffee tasted burned. Lady at front […] desk screamed on the phone to her employee then proceeded to scream at one of the ladies in front of everyone eating. The cleaning lady stormed out screaming back. Very unprofessional and embarrassing. The only plus is it was near the beach and had a good shopping center across the street. Way over priced for what you got!!!! Les mer

This motel is in a great location near the east bay shoreline and a large outdoor mall/shopping center with plenty of shops and places to eat. Easy access to the 880 freeway, close to Oakland airport, Oakland, Berkeley and other East Bay locations. The bargain price means you get rooms where the carpets are in dire need of replacement and the furniture […] is ready for the swap meet. The included breakfast doesn't offer a lot of choices and is not nearly as good as what many other motels offer. My TV remote stopped working almost immediately and I had to go to the front desk to get help reprogramming it. One of my room cards also stopped working the first night. Parking in the motel lot is difficult to come by when the place is full. However, if you get a room with a view of the "lagoon" then the beautiful scenery makes it easier to put up with all the shortcomings. Some (most?) rooms are converted apartments so they include a small kitchen and a separate bedroom. Don't expect it to be like the Hyatt and you won't be disappointed. Les mer

This place is a converted apt. bldg., so you get a full kitchen and balcony. It is only 1 block from the water, so great for morning walks with a view of SF. The beds were hard. The place is dated, but overall I was satisfied.

It is an "old motel' style place - but a lot of the guests must live there. The hotel staff is very friendly and courteous. It was very close to our company visited and the Alemeda area has some nice restaurants, etc. to eat at also.
