Beliggende i et hyggelig og rolig nabolag, og et fint sted å trekke seg tilbake etter en hektisk dag i Paris. Som vanlig er i Paris er rommene relativt små, men Eiffel suiten som vi hadde er et herlig rom. God plass til to voksne og to barn, med flott utsikt. Vi kommer helt sikkert tilbake til vår "leilighet" i Paris

Nordøst for Place de la Bastille ligger denne arbeiderklassebydelen som er i ferd med å bli moderne blant unge parisere. Trendy butikker, kafeer og barer erstatter de gamle butikkene og bistroene, selv om noen gamle verksteder blir igjen. Venstreradikale meninger luftes her hvert år på den 14 juli, når Frankrike minnes revolusjonen. Noen få heller viser stedet der fengselet Bastillen tidligere lå.

Hotellet overgikk mine forventninger. Jeg har bodd på masse hotell i Paris, og ofte er de dyre og dårlige. Dette hotellet her er fresht og ganske kult, rent og pent og ligger i en stille gate rett ved noen av favorittområdene mine: Bastille, Place des Vosgues, mm. Metrostasjonen ligger rett ved så det er enkelt å ta seg frem. Hotellet er nylig pusset […] opp og det virket som alle rom hadde minikjøkken, pluss at rommene var relativt store. Det er en helt nydelig bakhage, og om været hadde vært litt bedre hadde det vært helt skjønt å sitte der ute og ta seg et lite glass vin. Price-performance messig må jeg si at dette har vært en av de beste hotellopplevelsene i Paris - anbefales på det varmeste og det er hit jeg kommer til å ta med kjæresten min når vi skal til Paris over sommeren :) Les mer

"Fin beliggenhet - klaustrofobiske rom"
Beliggenheten er fantastisk, rett i nærheten av Bastillen og Marais. Vi reiste med baby, men fikk likevel et rom som var halvparten så stort som de andre i reisefølget fikk, selv om de reiste uten baby. Varmt og klamt på rommet, og tidenes hardeste seng. Anbefaler hotellet først og fremst pga beliggenheten.

Dårlig start med tildelt røkerom! Jeg bestilte IKKE-RØKER gjennom hotels.com og sa at hotellet jo må lese bestillingen det får!! Min erfaring er at hotellene som regel ALDRI leser bestillinger de får over nett!!!Saken ble fort ordet. fikk et bra ikke-røker-rom. Bra hotell, flott beliggenhet, greie folk i resepsjonen. Hotell Les Jardins du Marais er en skjult perle i det gamle Paris. Hotellet ligger sentralt med 10 minutters gange fra Place de la Bastille. Hotellet har en egen bakgård/hage med planter, sofaer, flere bord og sitterplasser. De ansatte er høflige og oppmerksomme, og rommene er rene og holder god standard. Vi hadde rom i 4 etg. vendt mot bakgården, det […] var meget stille og det var vanskelig å forestille seg at man var midt i Paris. "Rolig bakgårdshotell."
Dette er et pent og rent hotell i en liten bakgate. Hotellet er i forskjellige bygg rundt en privat/ inngjerdet gate/bakgård. Veldig koselig og rolig. Hær sover du godt. Deilige sengeklær! Hotellets umioddelbare nærhet var litt "shabbi". Og det var ikke et spesielt attraktivt område, men greit nok.

"Looks much better on the website"
Our room was located in a building at the rear of the property which was very difficult to access with luggage. The room itself was an odd shape, more compact than a 4 star hotel should be - even by normal Paris standards - leaving virtually no space to open suitcases except on the bed. "Great Hotel in Paris!"
Spent a lot of time trying to find a family room (that wasn't the size of a closet) in Paris. Les Jardins du Marais was just what I was looking for. I have two children (13/11yrs) and the four of us were very comfortable in this fantastic hotel. The hotel is made up of several three storey blocks, each with a chic name (Eiffel, Gaugin, Dufy, etc) We […] stayed in Dufy and our room had a large king bed and a big pull out sofa for the children. There's also tea/coffee making facilities in the room, plus a hob, delph, microwave, fridge and mini dishwasher...although who would cook in their hotel room in Paris??? There's free wi-fi. Good area, nice restaurant next door to the hotel. Popular cafe on the corner and when exiting the St Sebastian Froissard metro station use the St Sebastion exit and you are literally 1 minute from the hotel door. There's a fantastic vintage shop on rue Poitou about 5 min walk away and it's a wonderful stroll from the hotel to the many many varied restaurants of Le Marais. We walked from the Louvre to the hotel one day down Rue Rivoli to Bastille and then up Rue Beaumarchais - just wonderful. Hotel staff very courteous, with a Bonjour and Bonsoir every time you pass. We didn't eat in the hotel, but my mouth watered when I read the menu and if I had to have been with my husband sans children, we would have certainly gone in. There's a lovely outside courtyard in the middle of the hotel with chair swings and cushions that beg to be used on a warm day/evening. There is a small nightclub directly across from the hotel - but this did not bother us at all and was only open one night during our four night stay. This would have been my fifth time in Paris, and one of the nicest I have stayed in. Les mer

"Excellent stay"
We only stayed one night at Les Jardins. We had spent the previous 4 nights in a studio apartment very near by, The room we had at Les Jardins was actually bigger than the studio apartment. It was very comfortable, spacious and well-equipped. It was set up to sleep 3, with a large, comfortable king bed in the main part of the room and a twin sofa in […] an area that had a divider from the main room. There was a kitchenette, which we didn't really use. My only suggestion is to have a French press coffee maker. We had ground coffee, but no way to make it. They had the facilities for instant. We left early and so to be able to have filter coffee would have been nice. The staff at the front desk were all very nice and efficient. The hotel is quite a bit larger than it looks. Through the lobby there's a lovely courtyard and a restaurant and then several buildings surrounding the courtyard. I wished we had more time to use the courtyard. Just down the street there's a Carrefour grocery and the St. Sebastian metro is very close. Very good location. Les mer
"Nice hotel, and great location"
Had a nice stay this easter, and only one complaint: the beds were not changed every day - one day we found out it was only turned around. Otherwise good service.

The hotel is made up of eight different hotel buildings, all interconnected. We were in the hotel building Eiffel in room 18 on the first floor. That seemed convenient...at first. However, starting at about 4.30 in the morning we were woken up by other hotel guests passing our room either immediately outside our room (no carpet in the hallway) or outside […] of the building, where there is a cobblestone surface. The constant arrival and departure of new hotel guests and the surprisingly loud sound of rolling suitcase wheels was the greatest downside to the room. A room one should definitely avoid. "worst hotel service ever"
I've never experienced such bad service. Les Jardins du Marais had the worst service ever. After we checked in, for some unknown reason, they didn't bother taking our luggage to our room when they were clearly doing it for other guests. When asking the reception for restaurant recommendations on a Sunday, at 8pm, he told us that all restaurants are […] closed on Sunday nights. We took our chances, went out to explore on our own, only to find out everything was opened - the later the night became, the more busy it was. We also asked the reception on a weeknight, at around 10pm, on the nearest convenient store and again, he told us everything is closed after 10. It was obviously not true, and we found a convenient store in a 1 block radius from our hotel. The highspeed paid internet wasn't working for us, and when help came to our room, we were told "just wait till tomorrow, it should work". And last, when we were checking out, we got charged for all the "complimentary water". I asked why isn't the complimentary water free and they told us "It's complimentaire(in French), that doesn't mean it's free". Don't recommend anybody to stay at Les Jardins Du Marais. Les mer

our room overlooked front entrance to hotel. Opposite Zero nightclub. Loud music from 2200-0300. Little storage space for clothes. Light and extractor fan in bathroom defective. Had to report it twice,still doubt fan working. Metro 5mins away, good. Location not special. Too cold to sit in garden. Cannot recommend. Did not eat in hotel so cannot comment […] on food etc. Les mer

"Nice hotel, good location"
Very nice layout of the hotel not in a traditional style. This adds to the experience. I feel the location is great, and does require a bit of walking or the metro. But stop being so lazy and enjoy walking the streets of Paris!
"wonderful trip and stay"
Th e hotel was wonderful. very clean and the staff were wonderful. everything we ask for was there in minutes. they were helpful with directions and travel suggestions. I would definately stay there again and suggest anyone traveling in the area to stay there as well. the rates were very reasonable and we booked on line and saved half price to desk […] prices and there were never any problems with anything. No complaints at all. wonderful and very clean. everyone spoke english and was very very helpful. thanks to everyone for makeing a wonderful trip for us. free coffee and sodas and beer in the rooms everyday, shampoo, hairdryer, elevators worked well. they had hotel umbrella to use all day. we booked one night on line to see if we liked it and wanted to stay there and they told us to go back to our room and book it on line and save half price that way. very nice. we took sodas and water from the room for the day and saved about 5 dollars each for those because of the euro exchange. close to subway which we used everyday and it even goes to versai and drops you off at the effiel tower' Les mer

hotel is conveniently located close to a metro and walking distance to the historical Marai district. free wi-fi. didn't try the restaurant as they are expensive. Staff recommend St. Michel for meals and it's an excellent recommendation. We were very pleased with our hotel selection.

"Irish couple 5 night stay"
Lovely, clean hotel with warm and welcoming staff. A one minute walk from a metro (st sebastien froissairt) but not technically located in the marais, although it's not more than a ten minute walk. The hotel is modern and well kept with a nice big courtyard for evening drinks. A couple of funky little French bars line the street and are worth a loo […] k. Les mer

What a gem of a hotel. Just spent 3 days in Paris. Great location, lovely rooms which included a microwave, hob, cutlery, plates, glasses etc. Staff were friendly and would thoroughly recommend the hotel and Le Marais to anyone thinking of booking a stay in Paris

"Great Hotel"
This is a great hotel. It's actually a collection of apartment buildings centered around a quiet courtyard. While the rooms are for the most part quiet, we were woken up every morning to the sound of cars honking below our window. The first morning it went on for 2 hours. Not their fault, but next time I'd request a room on the court yard. Note, this […] hotel isn't in the actual marais. More Marais adjacent; across Blvd Beaumarchais. Still close to everything (Metro, Marais, Bastille, etc.) They also have a deal with a free tour group that gives walking tours for tips. (Just an FYI, it's probably best to plan on tipping about 7-10euro / person which seems fair as it's best just as an orientation to the Marais.) Oh... Also if you're going to take a cab to this hotel, be sure to have the address as there is also a restaurant by that same name. Les mer
"Great location, decent hotel"
We stayed for 2 nights in mid August 2011 and had a junior suite to take our 7 year old twins and us. The room was tight for space but clean and very quiet, a big plus!! Good location for getting around Paris. We thought the breakfast was busy and expensive. We ate at the hotel restuarant one night, the food was very good but they didn't seem too happy […] to accomodate us in the restaurant, I think they were short staffed. The front desk was very helpful. We would stay there again but would take all of our meals out. Les mer

10 minutes walk from Bastille and Republique squares (equidistant.) 2 minutes walk from St-Sebastien Froissart metro - the nearest. Very nice hotel although neighbourhood was a bit scruffy/mixed and had a pizza takeaway & bar just opposite which didn't look very nice. BUT hotel was outstanding and all the rooms run back away from the entrance and ours […] (and most I think) opened onto a long rectangular uber cool courtyard with beautiful planting and secluded seating areas. "Great base for sightseeing"
We enjoyed our stay, the room was comfortable and spacious. The fold out bed for 3rd occupant was comfortable and easy to set up. Tea/coffee making facility in the room. Bars and restaurants nearby. 5 Minute walk to Metro which is essential to get round the city. Staff were excellent, nothing too much trouble and all spoke good English. We left an item […] of clothing behind and the staff found it and sent it to our UK address though we had to pay the postage (which is fair enough). Can recommend staying there. Les mer
"An absolutely beautiful place"
What a find this was! Boutique hotel recently done over with an amazing inner courtyard. Excellent restaurant with nouveau cuisine. Bed very comfortable in a nicely appointed room. A little away from the main sites, but easy access to Metro. Looks to be in the 'locals' section with restaurants and pubs near.

"Off the path"
This hotel is not near any major tourist attractions. Unless you're in excellent health, everything is a long walk away. There are metro locations within walking distance. But they were pretty empty late at night making it a little unnerving. I can't tell you about the breakfast because it stopped too soon for me. No one seemed to be dining at the restaurant. […] But there are some okay places across the street and at the corner which why it got noisy late into the night! The garden at the center of the hotel is nice unless it rained every day as it did on my stay. Les mer
"Great Hotel"
The Hotel is charming and the service is good.. It is not in the Marais but close enough. I would happily stay there again.
The room we were given at first was not what we thought we were supposed to get. The room was to have four beds (one set being made together as a king). However the Hotel did give us a Suite instead and that made all the difference in our trip. The Hotel is lovely and the people are delightful. I would absolutely recommend this Hotel.

"Exceptional Accomodations and Staff"
This hotel was beautiful, exceptionally clean, with huge rooms and was resonably priced. The staff was fluent in English and made us feel right at home immediately upon arrival. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone!
"Les Jardins du Marais - well working, overdesigned"
The hotel is big but feels rather small. The courtyard is nice, especially to kids. The interior style is not to my liking, too much crome, grey glass etc - could be a lot homier. The room for 4 was quite small, just one room even if they called it a suite.
