"Good price value"
Very good price for a very nice hotel. Everything was clean. Staff was friendly and profesional. Too bad their pool is outdoor...it was in the off season. No indoor one to use. The rooms had everything you could think of.

"Best place to stay in Topeka Kansas"
The hotel is very clean and the staff is very helpful with all our questions. Had some frat recommendations for local restraunts and attractions. Next time I am in Topeka I will stay here.

"Didn't get what we reserved"
We reserved a double room for a dad and adult child and when we got there we got a king bed so dad had to sleep on the uncomfortable pull out bed. The hotel apologized and said they would switch our rooms the 2nd night. They forgot to so dad had to again sleep on the uncomfortable pull out bed. The first words that popped into my head when I stepped into the room were "OH MY GOD!" The room was beautiful, clean, and comfortable. I will be staying here a lot more!

Having grown up in Topeka, I know the hotels in the area are not what you would call upscale. With that said, the Hyatt Place is great. Every room is set up as a kind of mini-suite with a dividing wall between the bed and seating/ work/ TV watching areas (and mini kitchen! which is awesome). It provides much-needed extra space, especially if you're […] traveling with someone else. The location is wonderful (although the entrance might be a bit hard to find the first time you go). There are ponds nearby to walk around, and even though the highway is close, it feels serene and peaceful. The rooms were spacious, extremely clean (!), and modern, and the staff was incredibly helpful. We didn't eat the continental breakfast, but it looked good, and there was fruit out all the time for snacking. Overall, it was a great experience, and I will definitely book this hotel again. Everyone we met from the staff at Hyatt Place Topeka was friendly and helpful. Pleasant people always make a stay more enjoyable and they could not have been more pleasant and thoughtful. Comfort-wise, the hotel was terrific in every way. The room was spacious and clean. The hallways were tidy and neat, no trash or discarded dishes anywhere. And the […] complimentary breakfast was one of the best we have experienced at a hotel site. We were in Topeka for a funeral of a relative. And usually we stay with this relative so our experience with hotels/motels in Topeka is limited. The room was very clean with nice beds, tv, shower etc..... The only complaint and it wasn't a big one is the bar is very small....

The only problem I had was not being able to check out on the TV, requiring extra time while leaving.
"Lovely environment"
My husband and I loved this motel, especially the decor and spaciousness of the room. The rooms were like minisuites. The only thing missing was a microwave.
There were no staff readily available to help check in. The kiosk was fine, but it nice to have a live human available if you have questions.

"bathtub"
I do not prefer showers-I prefer a leisurely bath but the bathtub stopper, or perhaps I should call it drain closure-would not work-my husband and I tried for over a half hour, but it was un-successful- my son, who has dis-abilities, was also expecting to bathe in the tub-so that created chaos-I called for maintenance and the man at the desk came up […] and tried to fix it also-but finally admitted it could not be fixed and he had nobody to call.So, we spent a lot of money without the use of a bathtub-I had one roll of paper for the bathroom for 4 people and had to ask for more-one bar of soap but the staff was very friendly Les mer

Our room was very clean, and the employees were very nice. The pool seemed a little small. Breakfast was crowded and not the best organized, but good food. I would go back again.

My wife and I routinely travel between Colorado and the East Coast, visiting family and friends. We always stop in Topeka at the Hyatt Place. It's convenient, nice, comfortable, and the staff has always been great!!!! Thanks, Hyatt, for a beautiful rest in the midst of our travels.

We stopped here for the night on our way home and we were pleasantly suprised. The room was very nice and comfortable. We were able to relax on a nice big sofa and watch a movie on a nice size flat screen t.v. There was a Starbucks and a bar open all the time. Great pastries and breakfast too. This was our favorite hotel of our 11 night vacation.

My only complaint is the breakfast food. The fresh fruits didn't taste fresh. I wonder if preservatives were used. Eggs have to be purchased separately. Warm fresh scrambled eggs and sausage would go a long way towards making the breakfast food healthier (protein) and appetizing.

We were there for the NJCCA Regional Softball Tournament. When we checked in, to my dismay, I saw hundreds of young soccer players and their parents and coaches. Between the two tournaments I knew there wouldn't be a chance to move. We got to our room and 3 little boys were banging on the door next to ours. My heart sunk. When we got ready for bed, […] to my total amazement, we didn't hear anything!! Out in the hall you could hear laughing and banging from the soccer groups, but nothing inside our room!
