Det negative: Internett var dårligt. Dusjen var skitten. Tak terrassen på den siden vi var på manglet bar slik som det sto det skulle være. Knekte solsenger. Positive: Hotellet ligger veldig bra til, midt i bykjernen av barcelona. Kult gammelstilig hotell. Alle taxiene jeg tok viste med en gang hvor hotellet lå da jeg sa navnet. Hotelles beliggenhet var veldig bra. Utsikten fra terrasebar var nydelig. Sengen til standardromm var ganske liten. Ellers kan vi anbefale hotellet. Sentral og kort vei til turistbus og butikker.

My friend and I stayed at Hotel Condes de Barcelona for five nights and were very pleased. The service was impeccable, always willing to recommend places and restaurants, travellingadvice and so on. The rooms were comfy, allthoug there was too little closetspace. In my oppinion the location of the hotel was perfect. Passeig de Gracia is full of life, […] shopping and restaurants nearby. It has everything nearby, except the beach. It will take you at least 20 minutes to walk to the beach, which is perfect if you feel like working out a bit and experience La Rambla. If not, you can easily cath the tube or a bus right outside the hotel. The hotel has a small gym, with one treadmill, one bycicle and one stepmachine. We chose to go running in the streets and experience more of Barcelona along the run. The roofterrace is very romantic with a view of the mountains. The Hotel is in a great location with great prices and i have stayed here over dozen times the past 4 years. Unless you are in the modern section across the St. the main rooms are a bit worn and need updating. The safe is not even large enough to fit 2 ipads. An internet connection fee for each device, PLEASE that is absurd, it is 2013 and we all have […] multiple devices. Unfortunatly the city has changed the rules on the Rambla and everything is closed by midnight. time to find a new location where the hotel has been updated. Les mer

I stayed there years ago (before the renovation in 2002) and had a great experience which is why I booked again...loved it. ! fantastic location (right next to La Pedrera) and very elegant neighborhood. Walking distance to Las Ramblas, Sagrada Familia, etc. 4 star hotel at very reasonable rate. Best bang for the buck !

The Hotel is in a great location away for the tourist. I have stayed at the Ritz, Euro Star and this location is 100% times better. Great upscale shops and amazing restaurants all close and near the hotel. Central location to all points of interest in Barcelona. We were delighted with this hotel. The location was perfect on the street with all the high-end designer shops, great restaurants nearby, and only a short walk to the Ramblas pedestrian street. We booked this hotel for a week as we were staying in Barcelona for our son's wedding and needed somewhere central. From the minute we stepped into the foyer we were impressed with the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, the cleanliness and appearance of the reception area and ease of checking in. The room was spacious, modern and well equipped. […] The bathroom was also spacious and topped up generously with good quality toiletries every day. We were particularly impressed with the staff in the Alaire rooftop bar. With the help of Thais ( hope the spelling is correct), the manager of the bar, we organised tapas and drinks for family and friends the evening before the wedding. All guests were really impressed with the quality of the service and the tapas! Hotel management please note that you have real gems in Thais, Lara, Benito and Jordi. A brilliant week. We'll be back. FANTASTIC LOCATION, BUT NEED TO DO SOMETHING WITH THE DIRT ESPECIALLY THE FABRIC THAT COVER THE CHAIRS, I ASK FOR BLANKETS TO COVER THEM ,WAS REALLY DISGUSTING. THEY CHANGE THE CHAIRS, THE WERE ALMOST AS DIRTY AS THE ONE WERE TAKEN. WE CHANGE ROOMS TO THEIR SECOND BUILDING , A LITTLE BETTER BUT NOT AS CLEAN AS 4 STAR HOTEL SHOULD BE. We booked this room based on customers' overall rating, the hotel's 4-star rating and its central location. We were quite disappointed with our overall experience. We had a room in the new part of the hotel - across the street from the old part. The room was too basic for a four-star hotel, the furniture old and falling apart, the bathroom's mosaics […] were also falling off. If you put the heating on (we were there in November), a strange smell of something rotten would fill the room. So we had to choose between being cold and being gassed. The bare wooden floors were quite dirty as well. The worst part for us (as we were quite tired from travelling) was that the noise insulation in this hotel was close to non-existent. Every time anyone closed a door on our floor, it would slam (poor closing mechanisms) and we would jump in our beds. This went on all day and all night long, so it was nearly impossible to get some much needed rest. The location is very central, but that's about it. There are a lot of much better hotels in that vicinity. I would not recommend to anyone. Les mer

We stayed here as a young family of 3 with a toddler and was very pleased with the hotel and cleanliness. We were upgraded to a suite on arrival which was a nice touch. We didn't eat in the hotel as wanted to soak up the atmosphere out and about but it did have a lovely bar/restaurant, the roof top bar was closed as it was November as was the pool. […] Hotel is around a 15 minute stroll from Ramblas so location was perfect. Would definitely avoid Ramblas for breakfast and drinks as prices are over double, there are lots of cafes offering breakfast and coffee/orange juice for 3 euros. Would also recommend using the airport bus near the hard rock cafe which is 5.75 each, we paid 35 for a taxi from the airport so the bus was excellent value for money and a direct service! I think you can get this both ways. Hotel were pleased to assist with whatever we needed and staff very friendly. They have a secure luggage room which only staff have access to and we were able to check in on arrival before midday. Les mer

The hotel was perfect. The location was central and a very good area of the city. The service was great. The room was modern, very minimalistic. Our room had a terrace which was nice. Loved the rooftiop bar for a drink before or after dinner.Would definitley recommend.

We stayed at the Arosa both at the beginning of our trip while visiting Madrid and on our return to Madrid prior to a morning flight home. Our first room was fine, smallish but comfortable enough. Our return stay featured a Japanese style bed about 6" off the floor w/ a VERY hard mattress. Breakfast was included in our rate & was varied and pretty good. […] There's complimentary Cava from 6-8 each evening - also nice. Two computers provided for guest use compete w/ printer - Very nice. Main complaint, front desk personal were perfunctory - not helpful, bordering on unfriendly, often seeming annoyed to be asked for assistance. Location is close to old city sights but turn right on Gran Via to go into the area rather than left to avoid a seedy strip between Gran Via & Plaza del Sol. Les mer

Very nice, well located contemporary hotel. I had requested and early check in and they accommodated me. Staff spoke English and you could walk to numerous attractions, restaurants and tapas bars. I would like to stay there again.

All great in general. hardwood floors can hurt feet after long days of exploring Barcelona. worth getting the metro card. really close walk to Gaudi apartment sights. a few blocks away from sagrada familia - can see it from the rooftop bar. nice small pool. eixample is a beautiful area to stay in - passeig de gracia nice to walk along. felt safe. could […] wander the streets at night without worry of pick-pocketers. the street below the hotel had a lot of morning traffic, so i'd request a room on the higher floors. We would definitely stay at this hotel again. Our rooms were away from the street, with little balconies overlooking a garden. Very quiet even though in a busy neighborhood. We stayed at the Hotel Condes on 8/31/12 before boarding a cruise. Even though we arrived around 9:00 AM, one room was available and the second was ready within 30 minutes. The hotel is situated in a very nice area of town which is clean and sage. Also, the hotel staff was friendly and very helpful. The Design room we had was very contemporary and up […] to date. The overall room was small but not too bad for 2 people. There was a very nice and large bathroom which had the best water pressure of any hotel I have ever been in. The hotel is in a great location - near tons of shops and restaurants. We walked to the beach but some may find it too far a walk and prefer to take the metro (conveniently located right outside the hotel). We stayed in a "Condal" room which was fine but if I went again I'd upgrade to the executive rooms. Our room was older and parts had been redone […] but not all (bathroom was older). It was very clean though. We had a balcony facing passeig de gracia that we enjoyed. The pools are pretty small and we did not use them, but we did eat at the terrace restaurant and it was good, with good views. Staff was very helpful. I would stay here again. Les mer

I have stayed here before, and had another good experience recently. I was a little surprised that the bathroom fixtures weren't a bit cleaner and that our Nespresso machine was neither cleaned nor functioning properly. Still, I like this place.

Very noisy location on corner of street. Felt and heard rumble of underground train constantly and loud city noises - police sirens, honks, people at night til 2am plus on street. We had left one morning at 9 am and put out the sign to have the room cleaned. Returned 2:30 pm, still not clean. Cleaner later after 6 pm. Broken computer in "library center." […] Tile in bathroom dirty. Shower head rusty. Would not return to this hotel. Hotel staff very helpful in arranging tour giving info. Pretty lounge areas. We were backpacking in Europe and this was the last night before heading home. we showed up at about 10:30am just to drop our packs but the staff was kind enough to give us our room straight away! Fantastic. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Passieg de Gracia is a busy area but the room was quiet and we enjoyed having the small pool on the roof. […] The hotels location was fine (up near the Gaudi houses) but it was a bit of a walk down to le Ramblas and the water. Centrally located in an upscale, safe shopping area with everything within walking distance. Beds were HEAVENLY - cool, silky-soft sheeting, perfectly plump pillows.....slept peacefully every night. Great location.. Very central, and lots of nice restaurants near by! I would say that the hotel looks a lot nicer on the Internet than in real life! The reception area is nice and modern.. But when you get upstairs it's a little shabby.. The roof terrace is nice but again lacks a bit of tlc... The rooms are nice.. Not very luxurious but perfect for […] a city break! The cleaners were poor though.. Leaving towels on the floor, not replacing shower gels etc which I don't expect in a 4 star hotel! These are all small details on what was a nice hotel perfect for a city break! Les mer

Excellent value, room was on 4th floor overlooking garden and was very quiet. Centrally located and close to great restaurants and good shopping. Hotel staff was very helpful, especially the concierge who helped us arrange tickets and tours.

Hotel was in a great location. Don't know if our room was located by a kitchen heard some clanking noises in the evening that was a little annoying. Over all thought the hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. Really you couldn't ask for a better location and the rates were great.
