Living like a Rock Star. We were asked that the Presidental Suite was available if we wanted to upgrade. It was worth every cent. What a view of both falls. We did not need to go down to the falls--the falls were right there in our very own living room. Beautiful. I loved the bed. Comfortable, clean and that room was spacious. I didn't like the layout of the small one bedroom suite. There was no door between the bedroom and sink area making it difficult to shower and shave without waking others. The living room was a nice size, bedroom a bit cramped, very small bathroom and separate sink area. Good in room coffee. Service was excellent, breakfast good for a hotel chain, had […] a custom omelet station and excellent coffee. The hotel is far from the active down town Portland night life, out in the boonies but right next to the airport. But its quiet, there is plenty of free parking, and an airport shuttle is provided. Hotel staff were very attentive. Hotel offered a nice spread for happy hour and the breakfast was very good. Clean and an excellent value.

Very pleaded with the room. Got the king suite Loved the having a sitting room plus a bedroom. Thought the pull outnbed was pretty comfy. Will plan on staying here again.

It was wonderful! Donna and Juanita of the Housekeeping staff went above and beyond to make us comfortable. We needed an extra table for our computer and Donna immediately got us set up. Best hotel for a quick get away. Everything needed is on premises. Full Breakfast and manager's gathering are a plus and are included in the rates. Excellent and friendly staff. Great place to take a walk. No noise from airport!

The hotel breakfast was the Best I've seen anywhere. The omelette chef was great and made my omelette right to my specifications. The breakfast had more choices especially on the healthy side and the coffee was absolutely wonderful.

We enjoyed our stay at Embassy Suites. We were in Portland with our two teenage daughters for a shopping trip. The room was clean, the beds comfortable, staff was friendly and we had a wonderful breakfast everyday, especially the omlettes made by Andrew - if you go, be sure to get one! Never having stayed at an Embassy Suites before I was very impressed. The only issue I had was I had my 2 children with me and it was left up to me to make-up the sofa bed each night-it would have been nice to have some sort of turn down service. This was my second stay at Embassy Suites in Portland, the first was over the summer. The 2-room suites, complimentary breakfast and manager's reception make this a great value and that's why I came back. My only issue this time was with the heat in the rooms. The heaters are very noisy when they kick on, enough to wake me up throughout the night. No […] matter what setting I chose on the thermostat (off, heat, cool and different temps), it was difficult to get to a comfortable temperature. Our room was smaller than we expected for a 'suite'. The sofa bed was worn and dirty looking. We ordered room service one night, and the food was terrible and overpriced. On the positive side, the kids enjoyed the pool and the breakfast buffet, but I don't think we would choose this hotel again.

Beautifully decorated- roaring fire in lobby lounge- really comfortable beds & pillows! Delicious made to order Omlettes and breakfast buffet included! Even though it is right next to the Airport we never heard a thing! I highly recommend this Hotel!

This hotel was affordable and extremely clean: two things I want in any chain hotel. The service was attentive and the location is quiet, despite being next to an airport! If you're in Portland, you should try it out!

Overall, we really liked the hotel. Breakfast was great and room is clean and quiet. The only thing we didn't like was the couch in our suite. It was kind of old, uncomfortable and dirty. Since it was a suite, it would also be nice if the rooms were more equipped with cups, a few utensils and plates. Otherwise, we liked it and would come back.

Loved the hotel, staff and breakfast every morning. The only downside was that our room was very musty smelling and being located on a pet friendly floor, had to listen to dogs bark. Would stay at this hotel again.

We enjoyed our stay completely! We had a room on the 6th floor overlooking part of the Airport with a view of Portland. We had dinner in the Hotel and the food was excellent It was just a short drive to the Merril Auditorium in Portland for a show. The next morning, I was able to take some beautiful pictures of the Sunrise on New Years Day from my hotel […] window and then the complimentary breakfast was beyond my expectations! Stayed over New Years...was able to get a great rate...room was clean and very comfortable...despite being at the airport, I never heard a plane take-off or land (the windows must be quite good) The breakfast was great, people were friendly...this will be my first choice for return trips to Portland

Nice hotel for the money but very far out of the way. Hotel was great but having to get on highway to get to and from hotel was draining and unnecessary. Next time ill stay one of the many hotels in the old port area

Great place to stay. Clean and comfortable. 500 yards from Airport and less than two miles from lots of shopping and places to eat. Only issue was DO NOT TRUST wake up call system. I asked for two calls at check in, called back before I fell asleep to confirm them, but never got a call. Luckily, I woke up on time for our 0630 flight.

Stayed at Embassy Suites in Portland over the weekend for a graduate school interview at UNE and had a wonderful experience. I booked my flight, hotel and rental car through Expedia and got a great deal for the package. The rental car pick up is at the airport and hotel is conveniently located right next to the Portland International Jetport. No fee […] self parking was no problem. Daily, there is a delicious full service breakfast buffet with an omlete chef that is complimentary for all guests, I've seen other hotels charge as much as $15. The managers reception is awesome, it comes with an inclusive open bar and finger foods such as veggies with ranch, chips and salsa, and meat and cheese platter, etc. If its busy, sit at the bar, drop your bartender a $5, and and you'll have drinks rolling from 530-730p. The rooms are spacious and well kept and the staff are very courteous and helpful. I highly recommend Embassy for any type of travel! Les mer

Beautiful suites with full in room amenities. Clean, spacious and comfortable. Fifth floor view of the airport at night was dazzling and yet there was no air traffic noise. Full breakfast was very good (buffet style), considering the limitations of preparing large quantities and holding in warmers. The pool was closed and when I made the reservations I did not ask. Probably my fault for not asking, They did shuttle people to another hotel for pool use. But after a day of shopping we just were not up to that.But as always the breakfast was awesome. This is a rewrite of my first review at the request of Expedia.

This was an exceptional stay! My daughter, my daughter's friend and myself were in the planning stage of a "Black Friday" shopping get-a-way. My daughter and I had stayed at Embassy Suites in Portland Maine before but wasn't sure it would be affordable. When going to the Expedia site and checking on hotels Embassy Suites came up as one of the most affordable […] for us. I couldn't believe it as we would be arriving on Thanksgiving Day and leaving the next. When we arrived they had just served a "Bountiful" Thanksgiving Buffet that looked amazing. We wished we would've got there a little earlier; but will remember for next year! The manager's reception was exceptional; awesome appetizers and the "Bartender" was superb. Though we only slept a couple hours in our room, due to shopping, of course, we had a "lovely" buffet breakfast with awesome omelets made by a top notch chef. The location, near the airport, is convenient to all of Portland, with the Maine Mall about 5 minutes away. The hotel is quite lovely, with a big welcoming lobby and lounge area that always has a roaring fire when we visit this time of year. The full hot breakfast is great, with lots of seating so you don't feel "cramped" the way you do in so many other […] hotels that offer complimentary breakfast. The manager's afternoon reception is great, too. The bartender(s) can make you just about anything you want and the staff in general is always pleasant & friendly. The bed is a bit hard for my taste, but I have a memory foam bed at home, so almost anything is hard in comparison. Our suite faced the runway and was very quiet--no plane noise! Stay was fine, staff were lovely, but one of the two elevators was down for service for the whole weekend. Since the hotel was busy, it was very inconvenient to get to & from our room on the top floor. The stairs lead to the parking lot, not the lobby.
