Embassy Suites Monterey Bay - Seaside

We really enjoy are time. It was are 35th wedding anniversary

We stayed five nights so it was nice to have the extra room of a king suite. The room was fairly quiet -- I never heard neighbors or even hallway noise while we slept since the bedroom had its own door. The only thing we could hear was the street noise, which was a little busy. The room showed a little wear, but was fine for me. A bathroom fan would […] have been nice since one shower fogged up the mirror. The free breakfast was crowded and rather blah, but convenient. We found a Target fairly nearby in Seaside to get snacks a supplies for the week. Overall, not too bad. Les mer

I chose this hotel because we love Embassy Suites for the breakfast, happy hour, and indoor pool. Mainly...my family wanted an indoor pool as we really wanted to swim! Well, we were really bummed out that the pool was incredibly cold on our first day. I inquired at the front desk about the temperature and they said they would look into it. The next […] day the pool was closed....they were waiting for a part that broke. Day 3, our derparture day, the pool was still closed. As always, Embassy Suites gave us a great stay. Good breakfast, nice "cocktail" hour and the kids love the space. Good location with easy walk to beach.

We have stayed at a number of Embassy Suites and this one was quite nice the only complaint was the housekeeping. Coffee cups left on bedroom ledge and dirty towel left on dresser in living room area. The overall stay was very pleasant.

Hotel is in good shape. Line for free breakfast is long and chaotic; there is a ton of free breakfast food, but it's all fairly low quality hotelly stuff except for the omelet station (if you want to wait behind 24 people while one chef makes omelets). Snacks and drinks in the lobby for happy hour was a nice touch. Room was immaculate, sofabed was […] comfortable for the kids, and the room boasted 2 tvs, which was great. My mom asks for everything to be brought to the room --extra pillows, television guide, and on and on, and they did it all very quickly. Excellent service. In all, I would say it's a great place for famillies. Tons of kids were there, and the indoor pool is great for them. Definitely not a romantic place though. Les mer

Hard to relax when you can hear kids screaming as they run around in the atrium. It's like an echo chamber in there, oh it's beautiful alright and the waterfall is soothing untill you can clearly hear from inside your room what sounds like they are playing darts or rolling dice at the bar down stairs. The hotel is beautiful, too bad it's so loud.

This hotel is perfect for families - indoor pool (though a bit small) is great when the weather is not cooperating. It's very convenient for Monterey. Breakfast is a kid-food buffet, but if you want to wait in line you can custom-order. Manager's reception, with snacks for kids and very weak cocktails, every night. Our suite was large and comfortable, […] but there was a very strong vomit smell where someone had hurled over the side of the bed. Construction work was going on in the hotel during my stay. Because of my allergies, airborne particles affected my breathing. The hotel was accessible to getting to places that I wanted to visit. Housekeeping was not great. For each of the days that I stayed there, I noticed that the room was not vacuumed or not vacuumed well. Upon entrance, I saw […] several Bobbi pins and a cotton ball on the floor in the sleeping area. A Bobbi pin was also on the bathroom floor, which didn't seem very clean to me. The bathtub area didn’t seem clean either. In reference to the construction in the hotel, guests had to eat in one of the halls. The meals were not great but okay. However, the workers did a great job attending to the needs of the guests. I liked the idea of Happy Hour but not the provided snacks. Your last question asked if I would recommend the hotel to others. I'm sort of ambivalent on that issue. It would depend on what others want in a hotel. "Maybe" should have been provided besides a "yes" or "no" answer. Besides, the posted rating is just average. I feel like I'm forced to say "yes" because "no" would be degrading. Les mer

I was extremely satisfied with the hotel. My daughters and I loved it and we will definitely be staying here again.

The Hotel is located not too far from highway 1 and within ten minutes of the major attractions. There is little unfortunately around the hotel that would make yo want to stick around except for a walking path that parallels a waterway. All rooms are suites with a separate living room and a kitchenette with a microwave and refrigerator. Every day they […] have a hot breakfast buffet including made to order omelets. There is also a happy hour that serves snacks and has a limited selection of free alcohol, including cocktails. The technology here is where things fall apart. Watching digital TV was impossible for some channels. What should have been USA in the bedroom (it was hard to watch in the living room) showed as not having a signal. Several calls to the front desk did nothing to improve the situation. They also offer wireless internet for a fee unless you us an internet service owned by AT&T then it is free. The speed is so unbearably slow that I could only read the news. If I wanted any streaming content my 3G phone did much better. As a traditional hotel, I would give them high marks for comfort but the amenities need serious work before I recommend this place to a friend since most of the expect better technological support. even though it was an anniversary weekend for me all of the kids and families did not interrupt our good time, except for the spa and pool amenities.

The hotel is in seaside ca It was clean the food was hot and fresh it was very quite and that night they had a big party going on the room was real neat bed was soft

We were traveling with a toddler and an infant, and this hotel was perfect for us! Having a separate room with a door allowed mom and dad to relax and stay up after the kids went to sleep. The included breakfast was wonderful and allowed us to take our time getting organized in the morning without starving children. The hotel staff were very helpful […] with the kids, from reserving a crib to offering to pick us up from a nearby restaurant. We also loved the 2 day aquarium pass that we purchased through the hotel since our trips to the aquarium were limited by nap times. We would definitely stay here again if we were visiting the area and will look for Embassy Suites when we travel from now on. Thanks to hotels.com customer service for finding this hotel for us! I HAVE STAY AT THE EMBASY SUITS QUITE A FEW TIMES AND LOVED EACH STAY. THE AFTERNOON COCKTAILS AND BREAKFAST, YOU CAN'T BEAT. BUT AT BREAKFAST, THERE WAS NO WHERE TO SIT. I KNOW THEY KNOW HOW MANY ROOMS ARE SOLD AND SHOULD HAVE SEATS ACCORDINGLY. I HAD TO CALL TO HAVE MY A.C. FIXED 3 TIMES BEFORE IT WAS ACTUALLY FIXED. EACH TIME THE MAINTANENCE PERSON […] SAID IT WAS FIXED.ONE OF THE TELEPHONES IN THE ROOM DID NOT WORK, AFTER THE MAINT. GUY SAID HE FIXED IT. THE BATH TUB SPIGOT CAME COMPLETELY OFF THE LAST MORNING. I VOICED MY DIS-PLEASURE AND A MANAGER NEVER CALLED TO SAY THEYN WERE SORRY AND ANYTHING. I DON'T KNOW IF I CAN STAY THERE AGAIN. Les mer

It is convenient to Monterey with easy freeway access. The only downer is sharing the huge parking lot with Chili's or if there are big events in their ballrooms. They don't warn guests ahead of time if there are big events where parking will be a hassle.

Great location, very near all of Monterey and close to beach.

We love Embassey Suites, they are very family orientated with the free all you can eat breakfast and the staff is very friendly

Clean, comfortable and very nice free breakfast buffet. Will stay again.

We spend a lot of time comparing hotel options, mainly considering what would be best with our nearly 1 year old daughter. The two room suite was perfect, as we put her in a pack-n-play in the living room area, and we were able to stay up longer in the bedroom. Except for the huge cavern in the center of our king bed , the accomadations were excellent.

Embassy suites is my favorite place to stay.

We stayed in the hotel for 2 nights with my family, 3 adults and 2 children (7 & 5 years). Our whole family loved this hotel so much. Pros: (1) all staffs are polite, friendly, and helpful. (2) the room is very clean and spacious, perfect for 5 of us. (3) the morning breakfast buffet is super which has 4 types of cereal, bagals, danishes, fresh fruit, […] hot oatmeal, scramble egg, bacon, sausage, hash bronw, made to order omelette, milk, cholocate milk, orange juice, apple juice and coffe. (4) Indoor heated pool and hot spa, my boys loved to most. (5) it is close to all attarctions, Monterey Bay Aquarium, Fishermen's Wharf, Del Monte Shopping mall. (6) We could purchase our Monterey Bay Aquarium tickets, 2 days tickets for the price for 1 day. Con: during our first nite, 3am in the morning, the alarm went on for the whole entire hotel. We were told to go down to the lobby. I told my husband to check out what was going on; no staffs knew. As for us, We stayed in front of our room just like everyone did instead for few minutes and we went back to sleep. Les mer

We enjoyed this hotel a lot. The breakfast buffet was far better than we'd expected. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. Only downsides was that there was no free internet and that the sofabed for the kids was uncomfortable.

I thought the view would be better. Seeing freeway ia the main view. breakfast was hectic and happy hour was impossible. went the week after so kids out of school and they were all there

Nice place with a wonderful frendily staff. Full breakfest was good but get there early, there will be lines. Our room overlooked the Bay and you could look all day at this wonderful view!

Expected this brand to feel richer. The bed sagged, we needed extra towels and they forgot to bring them and generally the place just felt old. We had excellent help at the breakfast though. Inexplicably, they only had a few tables out with guests streaming in and no place to sit. One of the workers took out a table and helped us sit together as we […] were a large party. That was nice. This hotel was amazing-complimentary drinks(yes alcoholic too!), and snacks in the evening and complimentary hot breakky the next morn! What more could you want. Very reasonably priced, great sized room that accommodated 5 people comfortably. Tea/ coffee facilities in room. Very pleasant foyer and eating area.

my sons, aged 4 and 2, are now constantly begging to come back here. they refuse to stay anywhere else, even much "nicer hotels" they were allowed to feed the koi fish, have popcorn every evening, and loved the giant breakfasts. mom loved the extra room (suite)

We really like the hotel and its ineterio enviroment. It's very soothing and calm. We really like it. We also like your pool and hot spa. We will come back again if we could . We were there to celebrate our 22nd anniversary.

Happy hour was an added treat!

We were up in Monterey on business and chose Embassy Suites as our destination! WOW! Great room and really friendly staff-went out of their way to make us happy. A very pleasant surprise! I have already recommended this location to a number of my friends. Will go back again-sooner-than later!

Great Hotel with a very convenient location on one of the main streets. The staff greeted us warmly as we arrived and offered many suggestions as to local places to eat and sight to see. The staff also provided tourist maps of the local area and gave us excellent directions on how to get to some of the local attractions we had already planned to visit […] and a couple we did not know about. Their advice increased our enjoyment of this segment of our trip. The staff were super efficient at providing the additional towel required for the fifth member of our party. The beds were very comfortable, but as twins were a little on the small size for two adult to fit truly comfortably in. We dined in the hotel on the night we stayed and the pizzas were cooked to perfertion. Unfortunately we did not allow for how generously sized the portions were and we over-ordered our meal quantity. Restaurant staff were fatastically helpful in ensuring out untouched pizzza was boxed for take away status. It was a relatively quiet night at the hotel and the restaurant staff were kind enouhg to share ther local knowledge and offer suggestions. The hotel staff said that they caters to families and groups, and our experience re-inforced this claim. Whilst the room was a litle on the small side, as a family we felt welcome and comfortable. The children took advangage of the indoor wimming pool and the older ones were happy with the range of equipment available in the hotel fitness room. Ample parking also available at the hotel. Highly recommended for families and we will be coming back here to stay again, f only to see all the things we ran out of time to see on this trip. Les mer
