Omni Chicago Hotel - Chicago

Before retirement, I traveled about two weeks during the month and stayed at just about every high end hotel. Never have I experienced better service or a staff that was more friendly, accomodating and well trained. They were truly impressive and I would not think of staying at another hotel in Chicago because of their extraordinary service.

From start to finish, a great hotel. Wonderful location. The room layout is great for a couple and we felt right at home. Cost for valet parking seems high, but it is Chicago.

I stayed at Omni with my husband and 18 month old daughter. I called ahead to request early check in so she could get her afternoon nap in. When we arrived at noon (the time we were told our early check in would be) they said it wasn't ready but should be shortly. Two and a half hours later our room was finally ready. I was shocked they couldn't be […] more accomodating for families with small children, especially for the money we paid for the room. Also, service men in the halfway were very loud and woke our daughter up several times. Pretty surprised at the level of service for what is supposed to be such a great hotel. Les mer

Booked this hotel for 10 women for a 50th Birthday Celebration and the place was a perfect location to anything and everything and just a cab ride away to other sites and shopping.

Our room was nice, spacious and clean! It was a great location for us as we were able to walk to most places we wanted to go. The staff was helpful and friendly.

Great hotel and excellent service. Will definitely stay here again. It was a bummer the hot tub wasn't working. And the pool is not big deal. Workout room is huge. Hotel bar isn't great and drinks are so good either for the price. But, the service at this hotel could not be beat. All the employees were amazing!

My wife and i stayed here over this past labor day weekend and thoroughly enjoyed the convience of this hotels location. The service was good as well. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

Our family of two adults and three kids stayed for two weeks for our family summer holiday. The position was great and right in the middle of everything. The staff were very helpful and friendly, the food was excellent and we enjoyed our stay there very much. The room was light and airy and the bar and restaurant welcoming. This hotel was at the center of everything. We walked everywhere. We were actually there on our honeymoon. They said they upgraded our room when we got there which meant we got a corner room. This was actually not that great because there was a public patio all the way around the room so we had people sitting right next to our windows most of the time […] and they could see into our room if we didn't close the curtains. Other than the room "upgrade" they didn't offer to do anything special to help us celebrate our honeymoon. Overall the hotel was decent but the higher price is probably because of the location, not the room and amenities. Les mer

We enjoyed our stay at the Omni in Chicago. It is located on Michigan Avenue, in the heart of all the shopping. There is an excellent menu at the hotel to grab breakfast, etc. Also, the staff was extremely friendly & knowledgeable. Of note, parking is $52/night. You could find cheaper parking in a nearby garage if you so chose. Our room was fine, but […] could have used a little extra care by the housekeeping staff: an old battery & bottle cap were on the carpet when we arrived, dead bugs in the window sill and the bathroom was a little less than tidy. Nothing we couldn't deal with, but made us raise an eyebrow for the amount of money we were paying. Overall, our stay was fine. Next time though, we'll probably shop around for something else. The hotel is located in a great location on Michigan Avenue. Since the entrance is not directly on Michigan Avenue, it feels less chaotic. Great service and personal attention. Turn down service is a great touch and bathroom toiletries give the hotel a luxurious feel. Bed was a bit uncomfortable. Even though my room was next to the elevator, the room […] was very quiet. We were a pretty high-maintenance family this weekend but Hotel staff didn't miss a beat. They were willing to do whatever it took to accomodate us. The Omni absorbs guests very well. Found out that Hotel was booked solid this weekend but never felt over-crowded. We've stayed at a few different hotels downtown but have finally found our home away from […] home! Les mer

The location was excellent 3 blocks from the subway. The check in process was easy, we could walk to many venues. The room was a semi-suite - it was kept very clean. the hotel breakfast was enough food to hold you to dinner. Based on the Chicago Omni - I will stay at an Omni whenever I travel

This hotel was clean, comfortable and in a great location for most leisure activities in downtown Chicago. The only disapointment we had was breakfast. The hotel offers either a buffet or off the menu. Two of my children went with the buffet and the rest of us ordered off the menu. It took 45 minutes to get an omelet, a bowl of cereal and a bowl of […] berries; and I sent the omelet back because it was cold. I thought breakfast was overpriced. The resturant manager was responsive to our complaints. I would stay in this hotel again but I would recommend eating breakfast at a different location. Les mer

Great location. Walking didtance to shopping, river tour and pier. Lots of really good restaurants close by. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful.

Had a four night stay in the Omni and it was great. Hotel was excellent and close to all tourist attractions - North Michegan Ave on doorstep. Rooms are big and spacious and very clean.Would recommend hotel and wouldn't hesitate to go there again.

Omni Hotel on Michigan Ave in Chcago GREAT PLACE to stay. The staff were friendly and helpful. My room was clean and comfortable. Location was awesome, right on Michigan Ave within walking distance to shopping, restaurants, and sightseeing tours. We had a great time. Would definitely stay there again.

We was disappointed that the hot tub in the fitness area was not working. We figured that a hotel as expensive as this one to stay at would have everything working properly. Chicago is a huge town with a lot ot see, which involed a lot of walking. The hot tub would have been nice to relax those pains away in.

This was our first visit to Chicago. The location of this hotel is perfect. It's close to everything - restaurants, shopping, attractions you name it. My wife and I celebrated our third anniversary. Excellent location. Convenient to public transportation or taxi. Minutes of bus ride to get to the loop.Close to Water Tower & John Hancock Center. If you don't want to pay for $10.00 a bottle hotel water, you can get your own water /snacks about 2 blocks from the hotel at Walgreens. The hotel front desk personnel are very helpful and friendly except […] one guy his name starts with Car----. he has a little attitude. The front desk guy with Dark hair good looking is super nice , knowledgeable about the hotel policy & helpful. Make sure when you check in your room you see there's a big bottle of water sitting on the counter. Otherwise, when you check out you will see it on your bill. In my case, I think the guest before me used the water and the maid forgot to replenish it and they charged me for it. They also charged me for a long distance call for $3.00. I told them I have a cell phone and didn't have to use the hotel phone. I was lucky enough the nice front desk lady named (Saf----) have the charge removed without question. Overall it's a very nice and spacious hotel except they may have to soon replace the carpet. I will definitely stay again at Omni. I had a great experience at the Philadelphia Omni last year and that's why I chose Omni Chicago to stay this year. Les mer

We booked the Omni Chicago for four nights in July. The hotel staff was very helpful and accommodating. We had a few issues with our room. The iron didn't work and I called for a new one. It didn't show-up. A maid came by to offer turn-down service so she kindly found an iron that worked. We were getting ready for a dinner and had reservations so we […] were in a bit of a hurry. I don't know when we would have received it if the maid hadn't appeared at our door. The coffee maker didn't work so we had to call about a replacement. Coffee was brought to the room for our inconvenience. The strange thing is the room temp minibar that has soft drinks, beer, etc. It actually smelled. I have never heard of a room temp minibar? Several calls about that as we thought it was malfunctioning. Different answers from each person we contacted. It had a cord and compressor but was warm. Is this a Chicago thing? Les mer

We loved our Omni suite - furnishings were beautiful and beds were as comfortable as any 4 or 5 star hotel. Enjoyed the Wolfgang Puck coffee provided daily. Work-out room (free unlike most other Chicago hotels) offered up-to-date equipment and had a great array of free weights. Pool is just through the locker room. Best of all, the staff were most helpful […] and very welcoming. The concierge was extremely knowledgeable and guided us to many of our destinations. Perfect for up to 4 people. we had a wonderful stay at the Omni. Nice to have a room large enough to relax in.

I know that hotels on the Magnificient Mile are pricey, but I was a little disappointed that Omni Chicago wasn't a little more luxurious for its price and surroundings. The room was nice enough, but the bathroom was a total letdown. The hotel staff was curteous and helpful. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of room. I was wanting a little […] more in the way of in-room coffee. They only had enough for 1.5 cups, once brewed, and the hotel only provided 3 creamers for the both of us. Our hotel was very nice, and over all the hotel was excellent. but the daily parking was very expensive, and because of this is if driving will not come back.

Good hotel in good location. Lost and found did not work well and some problems getting car but on balance a nice place with a nice breakfast buffet.

We spent a long weekend in Chicago, which we have done many times. This was our first time staying at the Omni. The hotel was great. The location couldn't be better. The customer service of all staff was excellent! Our room was exactly what we wanted. The only thing that I noticed was that the rooms were clean, but the details needed a little more attention. […] Areas of the fixtures in the bathroom hadn't been dusted in a long time, such as the towel bars and the arm holding the makeup mirror. And the toilet paper holder needed to be cleaned. However, the rest of the bathroom and rooms were very clean. We were very happy and will come back. Les mer

Hotel was just right for our trip but was not the experience I expected from a 4 star hotel. Bags took a long time to be brought up - over 30 minutes from check in despite 3 phone calls. Porter said he had just been asked. They also would not accept the 20% off discount they had offered for a 2-night stay, which was posted on their own website. The […] promotion did not cite that there were limitations, but we were told that at the rate we were paying, we were not eligible. Seemed lame. Location was good. Les mer

I have stayed at this hotel many times and they used to have a couch and a chair, now just two chairs, I would like to see the couches back, other than that I have absolutely no complaints!!
