Vi er godt fornøyd. Ingenting å utsette på hotellet; sjarmernede og moderne. Pent rom og bad. God beliggenhet til det meste av aktiviteter. Hotellet kan trygt anbefales.

Flott hotell med meget god beliggenhet til alt i New York City. Minibar utrolig dyr, men slik er det vel på alle hoteller. Hyggelig og hjelpsom betjening, fine rom, frokostmuligheter på alle hjørner i nærheten. Meget godt fornøyd.

Hotell Carlton er et meget godt hotell med høyt servicenivå. Store rom, godt vedlikeholdt og utmerket renhold. Stilen er noe gammeldags, med mørke farger og tepper på gulvene. Hyggelig betjening, både i resepsjonen, i business-senteret og i restauranten. To små minus for litt dårlig lydisolerte vinduer (dvs noe trafikkbråk) og at hotellet ikke kunne […] tilby en dyne uten dun. Likevel, vi kommer gjerne tilbake til Carlton. Les mer

Ved ankomst fikk vi beskjed at vi skulle få et rom med en queen seng for to personer mens vår bestilling var for et rom til 3 personer med en kingseng og en ekstra seng. Resepsjonen hevdet at ingen kingseng var ledig og at vi ikke hadde betalt for ekstra seng, og at den ville koste 20 $/dag ekstra. De anbefalte oss å ringe reisebyrået vårt. Vi fikk […] ikke ringe dere ved å bruke deres 810 nummer, så vi måtte ringe en venninne som fikk beskjed at alt var betalt på forhånd, og at dere hadde snakket med hotellet og at det skulle være i orden. Vi fortalte resepsjonen og fikk et rom. Det ble ikke gitt noe unnskyldning/kommentar. Rommet var stort og fint, med en king seng men den ekstra sengen var ikke beregnet for en voksen person. Første natt falte personen ut av sengen mens den lukket seg igjen. Sengen ble byttet, men vi satt madrassen på gulvet siden det ikke var sikring på den heller. Det var dårlig lyd isolasjon mot gaten. En annen dag fant vi rommet vårt med åpen dør og ingen i nærheten. De beklaget seg. Man følte seg ikke velkommen, og hotellet bør ikke annonsere muligheten for 3 personer på rommene. I have stayed in this hotel for years, but since the renovation things have gone south. My shower had mildew and the water trickled down - I could not take a shower.

Phenomenal location and beautiful property. Very clean and quite a treat!

Excellent value for the neighborhood. Staff was very helpful and professional. My only complaint would be that the shades were indsufficient to darken the room as i prefer darkness to sleep deeply. Other than that the room was clean and comfortable.

I booked this hotel because it was near an event. When we arrived, they could not find my reservation. The hotel discovered that the they had enter the reservation for the wrong night. To make up for the inconveninece, they gave us a triple upgrade, a very nice corner room with a triple bed. The hotel also gave us a complimetary bottle of wine. I have stayed at this hotel before, but never had a room with such a minute shower room, and this was after an up-grade. The basin was tiny, and falling off the wall. I understand that over 70 rooms have similar bathrooms. I recommend you avoid this hotel, or have them confirm that you have a regular sized bathroom. You also may not like the lack of […] privacy as the 'wall' between the bath and bedrooms is frosted glass, and rather see-through. Also, there is no regular, black tea, in the hotel. This is our second visit there. The rooms are clean and relatively comfortable. Location good- No complaints- great breakfast nearby at Penelopes

Convenient location and clean. Very nice staff. Overall a good comfortable hotel.

As most of NY hotels, the room is tiny but confortable and well decorated. No disturbing chemical smell, very nice wash room.

The Carlton is a nice hotel with decent sized rooms. The hotel unfortunately needs an updating to the rooms. Some rooms have dated furniture, small holes in the walls or curtains are dated. Overall a good hotel for size of room and the money.

I really enjoyed the hotel, but it was a bit pricey. I would stay there again though.

Loved The Carlton - I will definitely return!

I checked-in after making it in from Salem with zed time in between switches in transportation from the North Shore to NYC. I went down quickly to the bar for a drink and had a melt-down. They took care of me is all can say:)) And how lovely, was one of the owners of the hotel when faced with such a what??? I will now stay there whenever possible, if […] they will have me. Not a bad place to stay, very trendy. Hotel staff was above average. As with all NYC hotel rooms, it was a bit cramped. Also, good luck getting a cab off of Madison Ave.

Beautiful hotel. Comfortable room with a great bed and desk. Easy to control the climate. The free WiFi worked, but I wish a faster hard-wired ethernet option had been available. In the morning, it was not quite as dark as I would have liked. Lovely bathrooms. Remember to put your bath towel near the shower before you get in because it's hung over 6 […] feet away. I didn't hear any street noise (8th floor facing the plaza) but hallway noise was pretty loud by 7:30 am. The location is fantastic and it's easy to get a cab right in front. Les mer

very convenient. Only issue we had was with maintenance coming late to our room for a plumbing issue. The bathroom is very cramped. The bar seems to be only open after 4. Overall, great value in a great location.

enjoyed two days at the Carlton. Convenient enough to the action in Manhattan although not that close to Theatre district. Clean and relatively quiet. Staff considerate although we did not really test them that much. We slept well. Nice breakfast in their restaurant.

The hotel was everything i expected in a NYC hotel. The rooms were clean and low noise. The only thing i wish they had was a coffee maker in the room. One negative was the push we felt to leave the room.....first the maid then the person to check the mini bar...check out was @ 12 this started at 11. Otherwise a nice hotel i would stay again.

Traveled to NYC for a girls weekend. All four of us stayed in the same room. Our room at the Carlton was roomy and the bathroom was huge for a NY hotel. Great accomodations!!!!

When we checked in, I was told that the room contained a fullsized bed. Since my husband is 6'3", I told the clerk that this wouldn't work for us. She advised that the hotel was "fully committed" and that she could do nothing to help us. She told us to look at the room as "it would be fine". We arrived at the room to find the bed unmade (the covers […] were thrown to the side as if someone had just woken up) and pillows piled on thedesk. We went back to the front desk, and another clerk quickly moved us to a room with a queen sized bed. How simple it would have been to move us in the first place, and avoid this annoyance. I had a double bed room, so the size of the room was decent and very clean. The beds were very comfortable and the lobby was beautiful. The service was great and very friendly. I definitely enjoyed my stay.

Very clean and comfortable beds. Walking distance to Penn Station and Times Square.Very noisy at night . Not within the hotel but street noises such as sirens, car horns honking and people yelling. I expect most of this area has similar problems.

Great hotel. Very luxurious. Comfortable bed. Good workout room, though i wish the dumbbells were a little heavier :) Would Definately stay there again. There was a delay in checking in since they were filming a TV show at the location at the time - too much equipment and chaos going on. But i understand this was a one time event. I just love this hotel. I stayed here a few times and would only come back to stay here on my return. the hotel is very clean, staff is perfect and the location is close to all the must see sites. I highly recommend this hotel and i did with work mates and they also stayed here.

Hotel room was small, but well appointed and very clean. Great location near subway and relatively easy to get taxis. Reception very pleasant and easy checkin/out.

Close to Empire State Building and Herald Square. Clean, great decor and servivce. I stayed here on business and would highly suggest it to others

There were two big negatives. 1) We asked for a dinner recommendation and the restaurant they sent us to had a "B" rating, there are so many great restaurants in New York with "A" ratings, why send us to something that obviously has some issues with the health department? 2) It was pouring rain and the door man wasn't hailing a cab for anyone. Small rooms. Staff not friendly repeatedly. Air conditioning not working well in the room and staff not helpful/willing to fix it until we insisted multiple times despite over 100 F temperature. Everytime we asked something they kept saying it was not their fault and did not try to help or apologize.

The Carlton is nice enough. The staff is friendly and the lobby screams "NYC Cool" (even though it's obnoxious to have to take your luggage downstairs to check in). But once you go up to the rooms, the halls are bizarre—royal purple everywhere, and no straight lines—in a way that's supposed to be art deco but just called me back to the computer games […] of my youth. Room was clean enough but very small, and the bathroom's layout was absurd: there's a doorstop in the middle of the floor to keep the door from hitting the toilet or the tub, I suppose. But next to the bathroom is a walk-in closet that could easily have been made smaller to accommodate a slightly larger bahtroom layout. Les mer

We had a great time in NYC over Memorial Day weekend - and this in part of the great service we got at the Carlton Hotel. We will come again!
