"In the center of all the fun"
This hotel has a great location since we were able to walk to Market Square, the Riverwalk and the Alamo. The rooms were VERY comfortable as well. The parking is very high but there is a $5 lot just 2 blocks away.
Stay to celebrate 18 anniversary.Had a great time.

We went for a Bachelorette Party. They upgraded us to a 2 bedroom Suite. It was Fabulous! The service was great from Valet, to check in to Housekeeping!! Definitely will book again! VERY SATISFIED CUSTOMER!!!
"Great location"
We had a great stay. The location was great and the rooms were spotless. The staff is friendly and very helpful and after reading the other reviews I called in advance to pick up my car and it actually arrived downstairs before I did. You do have to pay for parking, but thats just San Antonio. Will be staying again on the next trip.
We loved this hotel. We were on the riverwalk and walked down to the mall everyday. The room was very spacious. There were 5 of us staying and sometimes we had friends over too and there was always plenty of room. They had buffet breakfast and dinner which saved us money. We are planning another trip and plan to stay at the same location.

Excellent location for the Riverwalk & Alamo sites seeing. Only a few minutes from the waterparks. Enjoyed our stay very much. The only thing that we were not pleased about was the cost of valet parking, for what you pay a night for the room, parking should not be so expensive. We recently stayed during fourth of July weekend and he rooms were very nice (really love suites!) but didn't even stop to think about parking. We arrived in a full size van and were informed the didn't have any parking available for full size vehicles so I ended up parking in a lot a couple blocks away. Good location, and neighbourhood. avg hotel breakfast, and rooms with veiw are more than avg hotel prices in area, toilets are basic, and bed size are average. Good hotel to jump in for a night and jump out, but not suitable for long term stay..............max two days.

We had no idea what to expect and we were pleasantly surprised! We had a huge suite with enough room for a 3 year old. Really more than half the size of our house. This was just the greatest deal with breakfast and dinner included. Being right on the riverwalk was just a major bonus!
Everyone from the garage attendants, room service,desk attendants went out of the way to be helpful and at our service. The desk attendant saw a group of us taking group pictures and even assisted us in picture takings so all of us could be included in the group picture. one desk attendant gave us directions to a place to eat,so off we went,about half […] way there we heard someone trying to get our attention and turned and saw the garage attendant running to catch up with us. He stated desk attendant gave us the wrong directions and sent him to tell us the correct route. never in years of traveling had anyone chased me down to correct wrond directions. We found this amazing and so helpful. When checking out, expressed to the manager how wonderful everyone had been to us. great place to stay. The hotel was a little hard to find, very hidden. Valet and front desk was very hospitable. The condition of the room was not up to par. The bathroom was dirty and the room smelled of bleach. The ammenities are out of date as well.

waited over an our in the lobby for our room, the carpet in our room turned our feet black from walking across it!!! NASTY!!! The hallway had trash bags, dirty laundry standing around for days!! Will definetly not stay there again!
"Homewood Suites Riverwalk - Nice Location, but...."
The hotel was in a nice location, directly on the riverwalk. Access was the stree was easy and upon pulling in we were welcomed by staff. Baggage carts were provided and the vehicle was valet parked. Very nice. The check in procedure was easy and everything was 100%. Upon entering the room, it was apparent that the hotel was in need of an update. The […] carpet, furniture, stovetop, decor, etc. etc. appeared to be directly from the 70's or early 80's. The room itself had a faint odor of urine. As I was on a business trip and had no time to complain to the front desk, I dropped the bags and took off for my meeting. Later in the evening I returned to further inspect the room. The overall impression was dirty. The bathroom floors had visible stains and the shower curtain had a strong mildew/mold smell. The tub was really bad as well. As a matter of fact, I wore my swimming flip flops into the bathroom and into the shower.. that's how bad. Since it was an overnight trip, I decided to tough it out. The bed was actually fairly comfortable and I had a reasonable nights sleep. The following morning, I decided to take a quick swim on the rooftop prior to checking out. The pool was nice, but very narrow. More than a couple people in it and there would hardly be room to move. The hot tub was about the size of a large washing machine... again, max 2-3 people and that's only if you knew them well. After swimming, went downstairs for the breakfast buffet. It was the basics... scrambled eggs, bacon, potatoes, and a waffle station. The bacon was rubber and had no flavor (maybe fakon?) And the eggs/potatoes were just OK. The waffle station was nice... juices were nearly empty and very warm. Overall, I was happy to be leaving. This hotel was definetly not worth the cost / night pricetag, even on the company budget. "Homewood Suites - San Antonio River Walk"
Very convenient to River Walk, restaurants and entertainment. Large rooms. Quiet setting. Good breakfast. Free internet. Minor negatives: no self-service parking; small pool and hot tub.
The breakfast was good and there was a nice reception on the weekday evenings with good food and beverages. The room was clean and nicely appointed. Overall good value for the price.

"Wonderful hotel for a downtown family vacation"
My husband and I wanted to spend a long weekend with our young daughters in downtown San Antonio - strolling the Riverwalk, touring the sites, shopping at Market Square. This hotel was perfect - the suite was large and comfortable and the kitchenette was really convenient. The hotel was close to everything (as long as you enjoy a little walking like […] we do) but far enough from the nightlife on the Riverwalk to be able to enjoy a quiet night's sleep. My daughters loved the rooftop pool and eating breakfast looking out ove the river. The complimentary continental breakfast was great - lots of options. We will definitely stay here again! Les mer
"Great Use of Stay 10 Nights Get 1 Free"
Because we had stayed 10 nights through Hotels.com we were able to use our free night at the Homewood Suites. We were able to get a 2 room/2 bath suite which was perfect for 2 couples travelling together. The property is undergoing rennovations and the floor we were staying on had already been rennovated and was very nice. However, the rooftop hot tub […] was out of order, which was something we had all been looking forward to. Although we could not check-in upon arrival, the guest services staff was very nice and helpful. "Too expensive for service"
The hotel is rather old and we were disappointed in our suite. We felt we paid too much money for what was offered. The location is great as it is directly on the Riverwalk. The staff was friendly and at least the rooms were clean but I will not return to this hotel on future visits.

The hotel was nice. Lots of action going on outside at night. You can hear noise all night long in the rooms with windows, but not in the bedroom. The cleaning lady was great. The is an older hotel, which was originally a warehouse, but it is still a great hotel. I really enjoyed the location and the wonderful hot breakfast! I would recommend this hotel to others. Wonderful amenities for the price... great value!

"OK, but disappointed"
Hotel is on the Riverwalk, but not really convenient to most of the Riverwalk "action". The hotel is located at the far southwest end. We walked everywhere on the Riverwalk, but don't expect to be in the middle of things because you will have a walk no matter where you are going. Becasue of the location, we were able to walk to the market though. The […] hotel itself is "ok". Older building that was converted to the hotel. Unlike most Hilton properties, bed was small and uncomfortable. Hotel had the typical ammenities and an average breakfast was included in the price. I was disappoint to pay a $20/night extra guest fee since there were only 2 of us in the room. Parking is all valet and cost about $25/night with taxes. We probably won't stay there again, but I would recommend to friends with the above disclaimers. Les mer
