Hotel Fuerte Marbella - Marbella

Very good value, nice and well located hotel. I initially got a very small and noisy room on the first floor, but subsequently moved to a good size and quiet room on the upper floor. The lobby and restaurant (especially at breakfast time) can get somewhat busy with many golf tour groups. Friendly and efficient staff.

From the reviews on the hotel before we booked, I was expecting more than the average service and the below average hotel

we have just returned from a three night stay and would highly reccomend this hotel. All the staff from reception through to the cleaners were extremely polite and helpful. The room we had was very small not sure we would have been comfortable to stay longer but the sea view was lovely and the room was clean. great possition and would definately visit […] again. We stayed in this hotel in January 2011. Overall we couldn't fault the hotel. Great location, excellent staff, safe parking, good facilities (indoor heated pool for off-season), evening entertainment, and good buffet breakfast. When we arrived I was quiet ill and the gentleman on reception was just brilliant, so understanding and attentive. There were […] two things that we found unsatisfactory. One related to the lack of sound proofing. We could the babies crying the room next door. Could also hear water running in their bathroom e.g. shower, toilet flush etc. The other issue was the price of a pint in the bar: it was expensive. Other drinks were however ok. The location and the staff really made this a special place to stay. There was a welcome drinks reception on Thursday evening and the staff were naturally friendly and gave us lots of tips and advice. Les mer

We thouroughly enjoyed our Christmas and New Year in the El Fuerte. The sea view was not a disappointment(important if you want a view) and the breakfast was excellent with very friendly, hard working staff. The Manager Maria was often seen around the hotel and could not do enough for her guests. We had admired the Christmas table cloths on the table […] and next we knew there was a packet of them in our room! The Hotel has a great location for the Marbella old town and the nightly entertainment was of a good standard especialy the Flamenco night. We treated ourselves to some of the spa treatments and these were lovely. We would definitely return to this hotel, though I would always pay for a sea view, we had our door open all week and the sound of the sea was great. Les mer

My husband and I have just returned from a blissful week at the Marbella Fuerte and we would highly recommend it for your stay in Marbella. Each and every aspect of the hotel exceeded our expectations. It's location is ideal - set right on the promenade, it offered a lovely view of all going on around us. We literally used to just walk out the gate […] from the garden/ pools and were on the prom which goes all the way to Porta Benus... this, by the way is a lovely way to spend a morning. At night, we were conveniently located for dining in either the old town or on the promenade. The gardens are beautiful, as are the terraces by the pool. The pools themselves are more than adequate for holiday - an indoor pool; which was set-out in lanes and seemed to be used by people interested in doing serious swimming; doing laps, and a very pleasant outdoor pool more suited to those of us who were happy "having a splash and bobbing around". We were there on a bed & breakfast basis - I would defintiely recommend this too. I especially liked the omelette bar and chilled cava. The choice and quality of food available was excellent. We did have lunch at the hotel one day. The menu was varied and offered plenty in the way of vegetarians. Service was very good. All staff were incredilby curteous, efficient and friendly for the duration of our stay. This went from the two lovely receptionists who met us when we were weary after travelling to every other member of staff we met during the week. Staff at breakfast in the morning were always so bright and friendly. The staff in the bar and at lunch were always a pleasure to deal with - everyone was always bright, smiling, eager to help in any way that they could. Our room was bright and had a spacious balcony. The bathroom was equally spacious and well-appointed. Our bedroom was located at the side of the hotel and this was the only thing that was disappointing during our stay. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to anybody, and after having just returned from a visit in July 2010, I am already considering returning to the same hotel again for a second visit in September! The hotel was spotlessly clean, the rooms modern and well-equipped, the facilities excellent, and the location ideal - as it turned out to be both quiet […] and free from yobs, whilst also within easy reach of the numerous restaurants, ice-cream parlours, parks and shops in Marbella itself. The inclusive breakfast was excellent with everything you could possibly want foodwise to start the day. We did pay extra for the evening meal one night which was not included in our package - but we did find it to be rather expensive for what it was and the evening standard of service from the waiters etc didn't seem to be quite up to the lofty standards of staff attentiveness during the day. The views from the hotel were fantastic as it directly overlooks the seaside promenade and is blessed with a particularly quiet section of beach. Although the location was great, room clean and well appointed, pool and beach lovely, the night time dumpster activity directly below our balcony ruined our sleep! Bottles were dumped and lids banged shut around the clock of the 7 dumpsters adjacent to the west end of the hotel. This made it impossible to sleep with the windpow open and listen to the […] waves of the ocean. They should definitely impose a no dumpster time between say 10 p.m. and 10 a.m.! Les mer

This hotel seemed to be the best along the paseo. Walked by the sister hotel and saw that it was further out of the way. Really close to lots of decent tapas bars and shops. Was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the hotel. Pictures make it look much more dated than it really is. Ocean front view is a must. Balcony was really spacious. Customer […] service was outstanding, got served lots of champagne throughout our stay (while waiting to check in even when we were early, during breakfast). Having breakfast included is a nice perk. The Fuente is located on the beach in central Marbella. It is an extremely wonderful hotel. Everything was very excellent, including the Flamenco show. Beware that drink prices are outrageous, but then there is no cover for the show.

This was an excellent place to stay. It sits 20 feet from the beach and has some really nice pools and bar area. The hotel is within walking distance to everything along the beach and the City Center. The room was spacious and comfortable with a decent view. The hotel was easy to find off the A-7 autovia. The staff was friendly, spoke decent English […] and was more than happy to make dining recommendations for us. Overall a great place to stay and relax. Les mer

Firade min födelsedag på Fuerte Marbella med mina nära och kära, totalt 14 personer. Hotellet var verkligen en fullträff. Några saker som jag speciellt vill nämna. Hotellet är fint och ligger nära havet. Trädgården är välskött och vacker. Säkerheten är hög. Personalen är fantastiskt bra. Frukosten och andra måltider är verkligen goda och mångsidiga. […] Tillsammans med min fru ordnade hotellet till mig en fantastisk födelsedagskalas som jag kommer ihåg resten av livet. Och allt till rimligt pris. Förstår inte riktigt hur man värderar olika hotell. Detta hotell om något skulle egentligen förjäna 5 stjärnor. Les mer

En prisvärd hotell placerat direkt vid strandpromenaden i Marbella. På ett par minuter når man också "old town". Hotellet är inte toppmodernt men trevligt och innehåller det mesta man behöver i form av bra frukostmatsal, gym, pool, trevlig trädgård etc. Det enda negativa var att det är lite lyhört och att WC-spolningar från rummen ovanför hörs rätt […] så tydligt. Indchecking for 3 personer tog 45 min. hvor vi blev placeret i baren for at vente - selv om der ikke var travlt i receptionen - meget dårlig service ! I det ene værelse nr. 225 var det ikke muligt at åbne vindue - der var skodder for vinduet og kun den ene havldel kunne åbnes - menselve vinduet var boltet fast med en fast monteret sollamel - dvs. ingen […] dagslys i værelset og kun udsigt til affaldsbeholder - meget ringe ! Fik dog anvist andet værelse dagen efter om aftenen ! Mogenmadsrestaurent meget stor og støjende -masser af gæster - morgenmaden ikke god ! Les mer

Hotelli on varustukseltaan sellainen, että huonomman ilman sattuessakin riittää puuhaa: katetut kuntouintiin soveltuvat uimaradat, kuntosali, hyvät aula- ja baaritilat. Ja sijainti rannan ja vanhan kaupungin välissä on oivallinen, kaikki lähellä. Palvelu hotellissa oli omaa luokkaansa: aivan loistava henkilökunta ja mainio ilmapiiri. Suosittelen!

Perfekt beliggenhed. Meget tæt på havet og meget tæt på den gamle bydel med mulighed for at vælge mellem mange restauranter, barer og butikker.

uitstekend management en goed getraind personeel. General manager zag persoonlijk toe hoe de service in restaurant verliep en was ook in direkt kontakt met de gasten ontbijt buffet was geweldig met een groot aanbod van produkten service is dat er een kok aanwezig is voor het bereiden van eieren pannekoeken etc. kleding van personeel goed verzorgd en […] ziet er mooi uit service vriendelijkheid van personeel geweldig Les mer

Ett av Marbellas äldsta hotell men mycket välbevarat och med en charmig och serviceinriktad atmosfär. Fin restaurang och sköna biutrymmen. Tillgång till gym och uppvärmd pool bidrar till trivseln för den som inte bara vill slappa under semestern. Vi var mycket nöjda!

Proche des centres tourisitiques. Petit déjeuner extaordinaire.Tout était parfait sauf le ménage des chambres:juste votre lit est fait,il ne faut pas regarder sous le lit et la salle de bain n'a jamais été lavée,je parle du sol. Le sauna n'est pas à conseillé,il n'y aucun moyen de se reposer entre les séances:pas de chaises,pas de fauteuils.En plus […] il sépare les hommes des femmes!!!!!! Au petit déjeuner il devrait etre interdit de fumer meme sur la terrasse. Mais c'est malgrè tout un hotel à conseiller,nous avons passé un très agréable séjour. Les mer

Vi var mycket nöjda med hotellet. Det bra service, rent och nära till allt. Det är ett 4 hotell men vi anser att det gränsar till 5. Inredning har några år på nacken men det är trots det fräscht och rent. Bättre än på bilderna anser vi. Läget är perfekt, både nära strand och gamla stan etc. Lätt att parkera på hotellets egna område (kostar 12EUR per […] dag). Polområdet är mycket bra och det finns ett stort gym i bottenvåningen. Solstolar vid poolen är gratis men vill man ligga på stranden kostar det 7EUR per dag och stol. Vid några tillfällen brast servicen i restaurangen (glömde beställningar och förfrågningar) vilket var aningen frustrerande. Vi kan absolut tänka oss att åka tillbaka! Les mer
