excellent friendly staff

toilet runs all night,phone did not work to report the toilet, i hated the smoking room.i am not a smoker,i dont believe any hotel should have smoking

While convenient and very inexpensive, our room was so dirty we covered our pillows with t-shirts and slept in long sleeves/long pants so we touched the sheets as little as possible. The bathroom looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks. There are several other hotels in this same location!

A clean, comfortable place to shower, sleep and watch a little TV.

We found our room to be quite adequate for a one night stay. Staff were very accommodating of our requests. Appreciated our booking also included a Continental breakfast.

Even though our room was clean the outside of the hotel like hall ways and stairs were very dirty. First appearance is important and I didn't get a good feel..The hotel was older and could have better up keep.. It was OK

We stayed here for one night only. When we pulled back the sheets on both beds they were dirty, blood-stained and crumpled! Obviously re-used - yuck! Because it was very late we didn't complain about it but had a very restless night. There was a significant gap in the door and the kids were scared that something would crawl in! We needed a cheap place to stay for one night on our way through Maine. This place fit the bill. Not sure if I would choose a longer stay, although we did receive a pleasant surprise when we were told that breakfast WOULD be included (initially, it wasn't).

I request side by side rooms. My check in took over half an hour and the rooms were not side by side. After coming back from a meal the desk man came outside and asked how I got one of the room keys as I was suppose to be in a another room. I explained the person on the desk earlier told me we could not have side by side rooms. The man who checked us […] is was inside and was rude as well wondering how I got the key which he gave to me. The rooms were changed, having to move things from one end of the hotel to the other. They asked me to bring the wrong key back to the front desk when the items were moved and I told them since it was their mistake they can come and get the key to save me walking back again. Customer service was poor! My Mom was already nervous about staying in a room on her own and messing up her room did not make her feel safe, thinking someone may get the wrong key and walk in on her. We weren't looking for luxury. We just wanted a clean place to rest our heads. The room was clean, breakfast was set up nicely, and the general overall feel of the motel was perfect for the price.

The room was clean and pleasant, but we noticed things that show upkeep is necessary - the railing on the stairs was not attached at the top, and the general appearance of things is just an older motel needing care. Staff was pleasant and helpful.

My husband and i went on vacation and were very tired , the motel the night prior in New Hampshire we stayed in had no air condition as the room we had reserved had been canceled due to there mis hap not our's , so the man had put us in a room and said well air is broke, ughhh, needlesss to say the room here at the trvel lodge was clean , and plenty […] of air it was quiet we were able to rest up and stay cool , the man at the front desk was a very pleasent man and alway's with a smile !!! :-) Will definalty stay again and along the way on our vacation south we will be looking for travel lodging !! its an older motel but clean and great rates. Able to park right in front of door which was handy because we were there shopping.

If I had paid full price I would not have been impressed. We were just passing through and were glad to find it cheap on the website. Poor bathroom repairs, dirty bedding and questionable electrical setup for TV and lamp plugs. A plus....Very happy to sleep in a king size bed!!!!

We arrived to find the room in proper condition.being cheap, I didn't expect a royal palace. Room, two beds, it worked for my needs and little else. That night was the true part of the nightmare. A couple of drunken idiots from the floor above us started screaming and ended with them peeing on our car and throwing bits of railing at it. We didn't do […] anything more than make ourselves an easy target. After all, who parks their car right next to a motel building? Once we called the front desk, they did come out and talk with the guys, but didn't even look at us. The men were charged for the parts of the railing. I moved the car, but after that, couldn't sleep. So, all in all, not great. I'm not saying "Run far away!" more of a "use caution." It's cheap. You get a room and a TV. Don't expect the world. Sorry to say.. I am the last to critique a nice, simple, uncomplicated hotel with basic necessities.. but was sooooo disappointed to pull back the sheets at 11pm to find wrinkled pillow cases, bottom sheet, a black hair in my bed.. and at the bottom of the bed, literally, grains of dirt.. had to change my own bed when I called for clean sheets and pillow […] cases..that says it all, really. this hotel was not our first choise to stay but figured for the price in should be ok for one night.didn,t find the room overall clean, we had two double beds-one didn't appear to be slept in but had to be remade as all the sheets etc.were messed up and the other bed only had one sheet on it. To top things off there only face cloths and hand towels […] (no larger ones)to dry off with. I don.t think that the room had been completely refreshed since the last visit. Too bad but there seemed to be lots of people staying there......Dwight Les mer

First off, we got our hotel room key went up to "our room" to take our bags in and we saw a light on in the room and the curtains were drawn, when we opened the door, we noticed money on the dresser and the bed had been slept in...... It was someone elses room!! The shower still had water on the floor of it.... I wasn't sure if someone had had a shower […] in it and it hadn't been cleaned..... there was an open container of the rooms shampoo bottle still in the shower!! The pillows on one of the beds had some brown stuff on it and makeup marks all over it.... I slept in my clothes and felt gross as I wasn't sure if the bed had been made with clean sheets or not.... OVERALL the stay was in one word DISGUSTING!!! I was not impressed!!! Les mer

Entered room and there is mold on the shower curtain...and not clean. (Pubic hair in shower). Left for shopping came back and someone took a shower in our room and tried to use our IPAD. Nothing stolen, but very creepy. The bathroom was soiled worse. We left. The area is very good, however would recommend going up the street to Ramada! Ramada was awesome […] and very clean...friendly staff who went above and beyond! Les mer

Pillows were stained under the pillow case with hair on them also. Comforter on the beds were stained. Phone was so dirty I didn't want to pick it up. Shower leaked and there was water all over the floor that I had to clean after. Stayed for two nights and the night stands were not washed off - still rings on the table from the night before. There was […] a package of coffee in the room in a nice little basket, but no coffee maker. So dirty in the eating area - could not eat there. Chairs were so stained, I could not sit on them. Hair on the milk container. I can go on but I won't...... It was an experience alright! Would I recommend this to others - NO Les mer

Have been working seven days a week since November 2010, had a night away from home. All I wanted was a night to myself without any demands on my time and I had that. The room was a reasonable price and it was for the most part clean, there was a slight odor but I was so tired all I did was sleep. Found the desk clerks a bit aloof, there for the job […] and not customer service. The morning desk clerk was at least a bit more talkative. Maybe it was me being rested. Overall not a bad place to stay for a short time at a reasonable rate. Les mer

I have traveled all over. BY FAR THE WORST EXPERIENCE of my life. The smell itself made me so nauseated I went in search for another hotel, everywhere was sold out so I went to the airport and stayed there till I could fly standby on an earlier flight! As soon as I checked into the hotel, went to wash my hands and sink was clogged full of dirty water. […] The remote didn't work, the window currents were hanging off because they were broken. A clean basic hotel for an affordable price.

The hotel was really close to the highway and to downtown Bangor. The room was clean. The beds were comfortable, though the pillows were thin. The shower was really nice & had a 6-spray-style head. The continental breakfast was not very good -- they didn't even have any peanut butter for toast. We ended up going to the Dunkin Donuts that is a 30-second […] drive down the road. Les mer

This facility was recommended to us by hotels.com when out facility of choice was not available for part of our stay. We were told that it was on the same "strip" . However, it was 4 exits away. The motel is located near the airport and there were frequent flights. The facility is old. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were terrible and no extras […] were available. Although the motel was full there were no disturbances from other guests. This is not the place to choose if you want to be close to shopping and restaurants, etc. Les mer

Bring your own pillows, the one on the beds are about an inch thick. Finish nails were sticking out about a half inch on the trim in the bathroom (room 219). The front desk attendant was great. The walls are paper thin so if you have noisy neighbors, good luck.

Based on price you get what you pay for. The room was clean, nice location, and best of all "CHEAP" but there were some "issues". The electrical outlet in Room 110 next to the bed which I'd planned to use for my portable DVD player wouldn't hold the plug in either outlet. (plug just kept falling out) Needless to say the battery died after about an hour […] or so but I worked it out by unplugging something on the desk and sitting the DVD player on the office chair sliding it over to the end of the bed and worked it out that way (a nuisance but effective). Also, when you turn the TV on using the remote, a menu comes up and you cannot get rid of it. I had to call the front desk and the person tried to help but couldn't. He sent someone who arrived after 20 minutes and said you have to turn the TV ON directly on the TV but can use the remote to turn it off (and I couldn't get the "sleep" feature to work either). A simple sign on the TV would have solved that issue. Anyway, as I said, you get what you pay for. I like the room clean and cheap (becoming a rarity nowadays). I understand that I get what I pay for but, this place we disgusting we didn't even stay here we ended up leaving the hotel and staying next door and staying at the super 8 motel, which is alot better. The room was so dirty, the sheets were nots changed, when we lifted the sheets there was hair everywhere on the bed. The bathroom was not cleaned either, […] there was dirt in the bathtub and hair on the toilet. This is the type of place that would have bed bugs in there bed. Les mer

This hotel was not at all what i expected. The room maintenance was terrible. The front piece of the heater was hanging off onto the bed next to it. The bathroom you could shut the door all the way because you would get stuck in it the door knob would fall off in your hand once you tried to open the bathroom door. The pillows were flat and only […] 2 in the room per bed with no spares. When you get to the hotel it looks as though it is rundown and out of business. I think i could have gotten a better rate and a better hotel a place near by. Les mer

The hotel was not as described. Many ammenities were not there at all!! Switched rooms half way through and room was dirty (was used feminine product on the floor even) plumbing didnt work well and code violations Im sure as far as wiring, holes in the bathroom and uncovered fixtures. Great place if you crashing overnight for a long haul, just dont […] expect anything else, cause its not there. The staff was very helpful, I will give them that. Just a low budget, low quality stay. OMG there was a long black hair on my pillow case when I turned down the covers! (I am blonde) The entire room smelled like urine, and the king bed was hard and lumpy. Luckliy for us, we just needed a place to crash after holiday shopping, but will not stay here again. I found that my stay at the hotel was nice room was clean and comfortable.liked the fact that my wallet was mailed with all my id and money. The only thing that I did notlike is that there was no microave in the room.

We had to change three times before the room was truly non-smoking. Finally when we thought we settled, we relaized that the sheets had not been changed from the previous guests and were dirty. Very unpleasant expeirence, we would never stay there again and would warn everyone we know not to.

The bathroom had hair from one end to the other,bathtub had dirt all caked in the corners.The fan did not work in bathroom.....Filthy.

We liked the fact we were on the main floor and had a walk out to our car. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable . Close to shopping and resturants. We would stay there again

Even though it is a Travelodge, the hotel and the rooms were clean and in excellent condition. The sheets and towels were fresh and the bathroom was very clean. There was complimentary breakfast in the morning too. This hotel was far better than what I expected.

I was very satisfied with the price and the service. The hotel was clean and the beds were very comfortable. Hotel was only a couple of miles from shopping area. People were very friendly! I will definitally go back.
