DoubleTree by Hilton San Francisco Airport - Burlingame

Nice and quiet hotel just outside the SFO. The reception and resturant looked very good, and the rooms were clean.

Needed a place to stay to catch an early flight. They had a free shuttle which was perfect. Place was clean and nice (and you get free cookies!)

Reasonable hotel in the SFO area, but clearly second tier. Internet was awful

Wanted a good hotel at SFO with free shuttle. Shuttle runs 24 hrs...convenient. Arrived 11:00am and early check-in provided. Love those ChocChip cookies :-) Bellman was great as was desk staff. Free wireless in lobby, but $9.95 day if in room. Good exercise/fitness rooom on 2nd floor. Easy access via SFO and BART to downtown SFO. Enjoyed our one day […] stay..would come back again. Les mer

Very pleased with staff and location. Did not use restaurant, thought it was too expensive. Surprised that we were charged for parking as there was plenty of room.

No major issues with the hotel; it's one of several reasonable options on Airport Blvd. The one big turn-off was the restaurant. It's just odd. It's way too large and has the decor of a library or sitting room. The service was attentive and the food acceptable, if somewhat overpriced. But between the decor and the lack of other guests dining there, […] it was far too quiet and felt unwelcoming. Skip it and make the trek to Max's; it'll be cheaper and a lot more entertaining. Cleanliness of The hotel is fine. No continental breakfast If you want breakfast you need to pay $ Mandatory parking. Extra 18$ approx No wifi in your room Unless you Pay extra $10/night. Approx Make your own decision if you Decide to stay.

charged for parking, was not mentioned on the website. stayed outside the city to avoid ridiculous charges such as this. asked for possible upgrade, ended up paying although a small amount didn't feel it was much of an upgrade. TV wasn't working right so we were moved to another room, lost the better view for a lesser view no compensation or "sorry" […] for the freakin inconvenience. checked out next day with a second day charge for parking the car. Previously had stayed down the road from this hotel, was not charged for parking, closer to outside services, restaurants and had a better view upgrade at no charge, will avoid this "hilton" resort.....not....and will stay here again. challenging times for businessess, you'd think they'd offer at least the same amenities as other hotels in the area, or strive to be over the top in offering their guests something others don't ? but hey what do i know? They Charge for parking - $18 a night - upon entering the gated parking area, their bus driver drove right up on our bumper laying on the horn, when the arm raised he jumped forward and the parking arm actually landed on the bus denting it. They staff seemed unconcerned. Here is the List: No Free Parking No TV - like 5 sports channels and 5 news channels. NO […] INTERNET - who even heard of that in today's world - they charge for this as well. No morning coffee or meal offered outside your room No courteous service - the staff just blames everyone else. Mildew in tiled bathroom Need I say more. I stay here about 10 times a year -- usually on weekends when there are discount rates. This Doubletree is starting to show it's age -- For example, I was surprised that the big leather desk chair in my room was very ripped and torn -- it looked like something you would see in the driveway at someone's garage sale -- gross! I was there for a seminar […] this time, and the meeting room was fine, but the wooden tables in the room were kind of worn out. A few times in t he past I left a note for the manager that the carpets in the elevators looked like they hadn't been vacuumed in a long time. The front desk personnel are always nice and accommodating. The people that serve the brunch don't seem to like their jobs much--probably don't get paid well enough. Parking is kind of stiff, but is competetive with other local hotels. Shuttle runs 3 or 4 times an hour, which is really convenient, so you can go to SFO and take BART subway into the City. Overall, the hotel is quiet at night and has no planes flying over it. Also, there is a 24-hour coffee shop right across the street, so you can walk over to LeAnn's, which is kind of like a Denny's. In spite of the ripped leather chair and the sometimes unvacuumed carpets, I think I will continue to stay at the Doubletree and earn my Hilton Honors points. Les mer

Good location, reasonable room size, very clean, nice neighborhood. Good for the price, and excellent choice if you are looking for a hotel close to SF and do not care much about the hotel services (restaurants,etc.) One comment - the parking fee is $18, not $10 as stated in the hotels.com

The Hilton hotel where I stayed was delightful! The staff were very courteous and helpful. I loved the way that my bed was arranged, with four fluffy pillows, and nice linen, and very comfortable. HAVE NO COMPLAINTS. sLEEPED IN TILL 1030. USAELLY GET WOKE UP BEFOR THAT AT OTHER HOTELS.

We chose this hotel for our last night in SFO due to convenience to SFO airport as our flight was early the next morning. And also based on the rating and the cost. We were very pleased with our choice.

Easy access from the airport and easy access to the freeway whether it be north or south. Rooms and the overall property is very clean and the service is excellent. Only downside...too much smoking in the front patio!

Overall the hotel was clean and the staff friendly. The hotel offers a FREE shuttle to and from the airport which allows you ease of connecting to the BART into downtown San Francisco - the shuttle is supposed to run every 15 minutes but was never on time, which means that you need to allow more time if you plan on using this service. This hotel is convenient to airport and staff are friendly. This property should be due for renovation soon. I've had better breakfast at lower end hotels, the internet connection was archaic and NOT FREE. Otherwise I was happy to be close to the airport for my early departure for sure!

The rooms were clean. The hotel was kept up, the staff on the other hand were RUDE.

This was gross!!! Motel 6 has a higher quality of standings then this Double Tree by Hilton. You would think that since they carry the Hilton name there would be a standard each location would have to meet. I would never stay here again and would never suggest it to someone else.

I have to admit that the reviews I read made me a little worried. When we arrived, those worries were completely erased. The check-in process was simple and the staff was pleasant, friendly, and helpful. By the way, the cookies were delicious. We purchased a hotel package that provided 2 weeks of parking as we were headed to Maui. We were given a room […] on the 6th floor and had a great view. The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. There were 2 downsides. The first: it took a full 5 mins to get hot water to the shower. I thought that less than lukewarm was as good as I was going to get, so I just jumped in. Good thing that I waited til the end of that 5 mins! Got nice and warm. The second: the hallway smelled like old cigarette smoke. This was a nonsmoking section, so I was a bit concerned. Not even a hint of that odor in our room. Nice that they provide a hair dryer and an iron & board. King bed was bigv and comfy with lots of pillows (loved that!). The airport shuttle was on time we got to the airport with lots of time to spare. I definitely recommend this hotel as a great place to stay while traveling. Fantastic all the way around! Les mer

This was a very nice hotel. It cost less to book my room than a much smaller place across the bridge in Mill Valley and was 10 minutes from the airport. They gave you a warm chocolate chip cookie when you arrive and the beds are very nice. Clean room, great service from the lounge and restaurant and the front desk, and even the cleaning staff as we walked by them throughout the day. Breakfast buffet daily, includes juice and coffee. The only bad thing was the parking fee. Everything else made up for it though. would recommend to anyone.

We really enjoyed our vacation and the hotel was a good place to return to and relax in. Very comfortable, places were easy to get to.

the service was nice the staff was very helpful I would recommenf the hotel.

Overall the service and room conditions are good. Especially the free 24 hour shuttle bus to the airport. That is a big plus. If you could provide free coffee in the waiting area and better excersice facility it would be more appealing to travelers. By the way, I don't drink coffee.

Would not recommend restaurant. Food was marginal and overpriced. Better to eat in the bar (different menu).

Beds are small, room is nice, hotels does not have a spa and it shares a pool and parking was $25.00 for less than 24hrs. Find a different hotel with free parking.

Hotel shuttle was extremely helpful. Make sure to include into the price if you need parking. Extra $18.

I will be staying here again on future trips. The staff was great and the room nice. There is a little 24 hour diner within walking distance with reasonable prices that I frequented.

Our overall experience at the Double Tree was good. The room was clean and comfortable and we got a good price. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant and bar was good but rather expensive and the service was very slow. The city's free trolley was really convenient with a pick-up at the door and several stops downtown […] and at Cal-Train. Be warned that the hotel will put a $50 hold/night on whatever card you give them at check-in and will not tell you that they're doing it. While I know a credit hold is standard practice for some hotels, I've never had a hotel fail to inform me that they were doing it. I had to have them move the hold from my debit card to a credit card. While they took care of the problem quickly it was hassle I didn't need. Les mer

I'm usually a fan of DoubleTree Hotels (partly because their shameless chocolate chip cookie bribe works on me). The SFO DoubleTree is clean and comfortable. It's near the end of "hotel row" near the airport but the shuttle service works just fine to get to your 6AM flight on time.

The hotel is pretty nice. The staff at times were slow to respond to my requests but overall were pretty decent and friendly. My only real complaint is that the walls are paper thin which for a hotel that charges so much to stay there seems very inferior.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I have ever received. We reserved a crib which didn't even show up on their computer when we checked-in; we didn't even get a crib, it was a pack-n-play which we had to set up ourselves. Additional daily fee for a refrigerator, which was outrageous! Not to mention, the fridge was more like a freezer and even on the minimum setting […] froze a whole gallon of milk. and to top it off, had an issue with our key getting into the self-parking area and the employee who was giving us "assistance" over the intercom literally YELLED at me. After complaining at the front desk about this treatment, nothing was done other than a simple "we're sorry." i would NEVER stay here again and i will tell everyone i know not to ever stay at this location. Thought the Doubletree would be a much higher quality but was just ok. Staff didn't seem too friendly. The cleaning staff was more friendlier. Rooms were clean. For the money, other places are just as nice but don't charge for parking or internet in the rooms. Wasn't a great value or us. I would have refunded the rooms (14 room nights as we were a […] group) if I could but couldn't. Les mer

There are so many fees it is crazy. Internet- you pay all this money to stay in the hotel and its not free! give me a break! $18 for parking! no breakfast. I even left my jacket in the room, called an hour later for the hotel staff to save it, the receptionist said they hadn't cleaned the room yet. I come back a few hours later and nobody saw my jacket! […] Horrible hotel- its clean and comfortable but overly expensive due to the fees. Les mer
