I wanted to give this hotel a good review since there were several positives: friendly staff, convenient location, nice views, decent size rooms. However, I have to rate it down for dated interior (circa late 1980's) and most notably my 9th floor room had a cockroach problem. When reported to staff, they twice sprayed room to no avail. Didn't appreciate the walk in without me opening the door. That was rude. I was about to answer the door and the Hotel person just opened it with a key.

This hotel is one of the most wonderful hotels we have stayed at. The view from every room is magnificent and the service is impeccable. Every aspect is amazing and we would love to return and stay there agan.

I had a great stay at the Prince Waikiki. We had just came from Tokyo and when we walked threw the doors there were swarms of Japanese people( The Prince is a Japanese hotel chain) so, I wasn't too surprised. There were only two things I wasn't satisfied with. 1st off, they had wi-fi but, they charged you 11$ a day to use it when most hotels nowadays […] offer it for free. 2nd, they charged you approx (depending if you park valet or in there private lot) 20$ a day to use there parking which I thought was pretty wack but, at the same time you are in Waikiki so, it's somewhat understandable. We got this room last minute at a great price for the quality of the room, which was high end. Off Waikiki proper, but close enough to Waikiki Beach and Ala Moana beach to walk. Nice pool area

We have been in a variety of hotels in Hawaii over the years and can say we enjoyed our stay at Hawaii Prince very much. Staff was very friendly and attentive.

We've stayed here a couple times and have enjoyed our stay each time. The staff is friendly and very attentive to our needs. They offer complimentary shuttle service to Waikiki and it is very clean. We would stay here again.

This hotel would be a bit expensive but for the reduction I received through hotels.com which essentially gave me three nights for the price of two. |This is a lovely hotel, we had an oceanfront view which was great, and I have no hesitation recommending it. I will use hotels.com in future to book hotels.

Close to Ala Moana Shopping Center and The Beach 3 mim. walk. your view is the ocean out standing.

excellent hotel, We stayed for 4 days and had a great time at this hotel, Clean, staff really nice, 5 min walk to ala moana shopping centre-Great shopping, This hotel also has a shuttle to the outlets just ask very helpful. would recommend- spa excellent,

The price for the over all experience was great!!! Specially for the room type and view it was amazing waking up each morning looking out into the ocean with two sliding 4 ft. Windows!! The thing I liked the most was how friendly everyone was it was by far the most people friendly hotel I've ever been to.

Absolutely beautiful building, gracious staff and incredibly comfortable bed. The open window feature took away my breath. The view was great. We never heard another occupant although there were obviously neighbors on our floor. Great experience!!

The Hawaii Prince Hotel Waikiki is located at one end of the Waikiki Beach near the Ala Moana Center, but it provides a shuttle with 3 stops in Waikiki Beach. It is about a 15 minute walk to the International market and central Waikiki shopping areas. There are restaurants close by, and you can easily walk to the Hilton Hawaiian Village Hotel. We have a room on the 27th floor with a nice king-size bed with huge floor-to-floor windows where you can see the bay and enjoy the sunset! Les mer

I was very disappointed with this hotel. My husband and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary and were expecting so much better. The hotel is old and badly needs renovation. We enjoyed a comfortable stay at the Hawaii Prince. The staff were very courteous and helpful so we felt quite at home here. It is about 5 minutes walk to the beach but the hotel provides a courtesy bus to the centre of Waikiki Beach. The hotel is very clean and the beds were very comfortable.

Well.... the location is so near to wakii beach and alamoana center. We lived in a 20th floor big room with great ocean view. Service is good but if you'd like to have a confortable shower experence, here maybe is not the best chioce.

I love this hotel! Altho it is not ultra fancy, it has a great view and location for our needs. I love the American/Japanese breakfast offered too. Staff is helpful and friendly.

Enjoyed our stay.

We have stayed in ocean view room and the view is truly fantastic. A perfect spot to watch sunset and firework in Friday night. 5 to 10 minutes walking to Waikiki beach and shopping malls and many restaurants. Breakfast buffet is good. A small problem is it never changes. :)

Internet service went down several times during my stay, very inconvenient.

1. During 24 hours Internet cut out twice. 2. The TV did not work. 3. One of the bedside lamps did not work.

The Hawaii Prince is a nice hotel that was not very expensive. The room was nice and overall I enjoyed my stay. The only negative comment is that the hotel is a little far from the main beach area but they have a shuttle bus and their always seemed to be a cab or two out front.

The hotel staff was very courteous - even when I locked myself out of my room. I ordered room service one night and the food was a bit underwhelming for the price, but I'm not sure if I've ever had overwhelming room service anywhere. My room overlooked the marina and ocean - the sunsets were completely Hawai'i! Waikiki is down the street a bit, but […] within easy walking distance. There is another less crowded beach and a beautiful park just to the right of the marina. My room was modern and fresh. The bathroom was large with a soaking tub and stall shower and water closet. We had a 2 day stay and we really enjoyed our stay. A nice touch was giving us hot hand towels at the check-in desk. The lobby is large, clean and comfortable - with a player piano going. The hotel has a free shuttle bus to the Waikiki beach and shopping areas every 30 minutes which we used even though we had a car since parking is impossible at those […] areas. Loud hard surfaces thru out. Makes for extremely loud lobby area. Breakfast wait staff was very solicitous and attentive.

Good location, good view, tidy and large room, free wifi and wired internet access, highly recommended!

Great place to stay -- this hotel has comfortable rooms, all with ocean front views, short walking distance to Ala Moana Park/Beach, Ala Moana Shopping Center. First class service. My family loves to stay at this hotel and we'll be back.

Most of the hotels in Waikiki are showing their age since they were built in the 70s, but this hotel is holding up well. They are also planning renovations of the hotel rooms. The staff is very pleasant and nice and I will definitely stay here the next time I'm in town. Thank you to the night manager Sean!

For our 1-week vacation to Hawai'i we started with 2 nights in Honolulu, 5 nights on the Big Island, and then 1 more night in Honolulu. Since I am a grad student we decided to cut costs where we could and stayed in a hostel for the first 2 nights in Honolulu and planned to splurge on a fancy hotel for our last night, this is the hotel we chose. The […] location on the marina is nice - you can walk less than a mile to Waikiki beach along the water. The view of the marina from the 20th floor was sweet. The room was clean, the bed was comfy, the bathroom had a separate stall for the toilet and shower, which made getting ready quickly to go out a breeze (and even included generous 2 oz toiletry bottles). The room also included a fridge (great for saving leftovers for breakfast) and bathrobes (baller). The front desk was helpful - they provided beach towels and even had postcard stamps for sale. There were always cabs outside, which was nice for hitching a late ride to the airport. Overall we had a great night here, mahalo! Les mer

The staff was courteous and helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable but the bath needs updating. I believe that is scheduled. The location is within easy walking distance of Waikiki Beach or Ala Moana Beach and the incredible Ala Moana Mall.

Very dissatified with Hawaii Prince Hotel. Should have stayed at Turtle Bay. Our roon felt old and smelly. Bugs and moths!!!! No Ipod/alarm clock device. Not happy with our stay.

This is a really nice hotel and the hotel restaurants are very good (pricey, but good). The hotel is located just before the crazy part of Waikiki, so easier in and out of the area. Nice beaches are walking distance, and so is a major shopping center with everything imaginable you might want to buy. The rooms are good size, and the bathroom is big (tub […] and separate shower!). I think all the rooms have great views of the marina and ocean. The pool is adequate, but the jacuzzi could use some updating. The fitness center is small and can get crowded (only about 3 or 4 people can use it at a time). The fitness center does also have great views. Les mer

While clean, the hotel was very dated. It was clear they are doing renovations but they weren't evident in our room. If your expectations are for a 4 star hotel, this is not it.
