Hotel Fenice Palace - Firenze

Hotellet ligger veldig sentralt til med gåavstand til omtrent alle serverdigheter. Rommene er store og har bra standard. Frokosten er ok, men lurt å være tidlig ute da de ikke fyller på etter at de går tom for pålegg.

The location was great.That is the ONLY thing I can say positive about this place. I have written over 100 reviews and this is the first total negative I have left. There was NO hot water in any of our 4 rooms. The television did not work in two of the 4 rooms. They were jackhammering the street in the front of the hotel (no fault of the property) and […] the food was poor. I would never stay here again and would suggest the Hotel Duomo which is a block closer to the Florence sights..... Les mer

I've stayed at this hotel several times. The rooms are clean, staff is nice and the location couldn't be better. It's a block away from the Duomo and close to the San Lorenzo market. I'll stay here again the next time I'm in Florence.

Convenient location; close to St. Marks square. Simple; but, clean room. Free WIFI a definte bonus.

It is within walking distance of the main station and very close to the Duomo. Be sure to visit the food shop Lombardi a few doors down. The hotel staff are friendly and the rooms clean. My only issue is that they use actual keys with a very big, heavy, clunky key ring displaying your room number and hotel name. This is an outdated practice and is unsafe […] because keys can be copied or stolen. With the room number and hotel name displayed on the giant key ring it's easy to become prey for a criminal. Also, It's not hard to bust open the standard key-lock door even without the key. I would have felt much safer with an updated credit card type of key. If they would just update their key system I would have no complaints. Les mer

This hotel is in a fantastic location--just within the pedestrian zone a block from the Duomo, San Lorenzo market, etc. It was perfect for my kids and me...especially since no one intends to stay in the hotel room when you're in Florence! Still, I would only give this hotel 3-stars if not for the location. The rooms and linens were clean, but everything […] was worn and old--with the exception of a universal charger station in the room. The beds and pillows are hard and not updated. The staff was professional and efficient, but not altogether outgoing (as they were in our previous hotel in Rome, the Hotel Napoleon). Our room happened to be just next to the housekeeping supplies/equipment closet whose doors were broken and so our hallway access seemed in pretty consistent disarray. Breakfast was somewhat disorganized and options limited for a 4-star hotel. Internet was not free--10 euros for 24 hours is a steep price these days, even in Europe! I noted a half-dozen other 3- and 4-star hotels and albergos in the immediate vicinity that would be worth exploring as alternatives. Les mer

Hotel Fenice Palace in Florence- close to sights can walk to railroad station. Good size room however the carpets were in need of cleaning throughout the hotel. The air conditioning unit in the room did not cool the room-they sent someone up to check it and he said it was fine. There was a large window which we opened at night when it cooled off outside […] so we could sleep. Location was awsome. Ron Les mer

The Hotel Fenice Palace in Florence was a gem! The hotel is just steps away from the spectacular Duomo, and very convenient to the rest of the sites in the city. Additionally, the staff was extremely friendly, spoke English, and provided us with a free map of the city as soon as we arrived. This hotel has a great location, less than a block from the Duomo and a 10-minute walk from the train station. The room was well appointed and comfortable. Breakfast was good. The hotel could use fresh paint and new carpet, but then it would cost a lot more. Take earplugs if you are sensitive to nighttime street sounds. This was a good value.

Location - fabulous. Room - small but clean and in good shape. Bath - hot water and water pressure seriously lacking. Staff - nice and spoke English which made life much easier. Overall, I'd give it a 4/5.

I planned an 8 day tour of Italy entirely on Hotels.com, so I'm being very honest with my reviews. Fenice was hard to find but in a fairly convenient location. Half block from the Duomo, just steps from shopping, restaurants. Neighborhood noisy all night long. Front desk staff very hepful and spoke English well. Breakfast was weak and coffee machine […] was big disappointment. Opt for great Gellateria next door instead. Biggest disappointment was the room. Old and dirty...walls stained, carpet old and musty. Initially excited about full bathtub, but water pressure too weak to even wash your hair...hardly a dribble of hot water. Worst bed I've ever slept on...like plywood with a blanket over the top of it. One English TV channel. Price was reasonable, staff was excellent, room was awful...so I say it's a 'good not great' stay. Can probably find much better for a few more dollars. Les mer

Perfect location; room needed brightening up; breakfast so poor we skipped it; wifi difficult; but a real bargain!

The furniture, specially the carpet were old and baddly maintained. The size of the room was OK. It was impossible to seat on the WC since it was to close to the wall I had to mount on it.

El hotel está muy bien situado, muy cerca de la catedral de Florencia y el personal es muy amable. Pero es un poco cutre para ser un hotel de 4 estrellas. La habitación era bastante pequeña, la cama incómoda y el cuarto de baño bastante viejo.

部屋は広く、雰囲気はよかったけど、 ドゥオーモに近いせいもあって深夜遅くまで若者が騒いでいるため眠りを妨げられる。 水道の水も独特のにおいがするし、シャワーはお湯があまりでないという悲惨さ。

Não recomendo. A localização é perfeita, mas é só. O hotel está em péssimo estado, a cama é muito desconfortável, a limpeza é ruim, o café da manhã é fraco, o sistema de calefação não funciona bem, o chuveiro tem quase nenhuma pressão e a água não esquenta. Chamei um funcionário e ele disse que não podia fazer nada, que todos os quartos tinham o mesmo […] problema. O hotel se diz um quatro - estrelas, mas merece só uma, pela localização: o fato de estar a poucos metros do Duomo é muito conveniente. Les mer

godt beliggende hotel centralt i firenze tv virkede ikke på værelset kunne ikke rep. i de 3 dage vi var der morgen mad tørt brød og kedeligt

The 4 stars look like a joke : the real quality of this hotel is a little 2 stars, at maximum. My room was small, walls and carpets look tired, the furniture was cheap, the shower didn't give the right water temperature easily, and the very little window giving on a courtyard made the whole look dark and gloomy. In the positive points, cleanlinness […] was perfect, as the situation in the very center of Firenze (a one minute walk to the Duomo), and the price was cheap. So this hotel can be a good tip if you look for a budget stay, but don't trust the stars rating if you look for charm ! Les mer

The hotel is very dirty, we had to change my room three times and still not had any comfort. The rooms with carpet on the floor do not have a cleaning that can be said to be reliable and low lighting gives the impression that everything is dirty. I do not recommend to look in corners or under the bed. There should be animals that live there. No hot […] water in all rooms. The hotel's staff say there is a problem with the hot water system and that not all rooms have hot water on tap and the shower. You choose, or bathing in cold water or a trickle of hot water. I think they have a floor only for who reserve by sites like this, it is impossible for anyone to say that a hotel like this is four stars, maybe a half star. On the positive side, the location is very good and the staff feels visible constraints to send you to a floor that they know that you did not pay. I advise taking linen, cleaning and anti mite powder if you want to stay at this hotel. Les mer

bien situé mais loin d être un 4 étoile

Vi undrede os over de 4 stjerner hotellet er blever tildelt. Vi tog videre til et 4 stjernet hotel i Verona (Hotel Firenze), og her var standarden vaesenligt bedre. Men hotellet er billigt, ligger meget centralt og personalet var søde.
