Night Hotel North Dallas - Farmers Branch

I had stayed at this property numerous times under its former ownership (as a Holiday Inn). I assumed that the same high level of service and comfort would exist, only a name change, right? Not so fast. My first clue should have been the 20 or so hotel guests who were our smoking near the front door as I entered to check in, during some sort of a break […] for a meeting. After checking in and being given directions to my room, i was told to enter through a side door, at which was a trash receptacle overflowing with beer bottles and fast food containers. Mind you, I was checking in at 1:30pm. The room itself was not terrible, until the next morning when I tried to shave, only to find my sink was backed up with foul smelling water. No worries, I can check shave in the shower. Except after letting the water run for a good five minutes remained cold as ice. Unable to shower, and shaving with cold shower water, I went downstairs to check out. I pointed out to the front desk attendant that I had a few issues with the room, and asked for nothing. She was pleasant enough, and told me she would pass along my concerns to the manager., who was not in. However, after I turned my back and saw the manager talking to two other unhappy guests, I realized the nice lady was just trying to avoid helping me out or addressing any concerns. Les mer

we had a wonderful stay. staff was friendly from check in to check out. breakfast was great; hot foods hot and cold foods cold. very clean. only drawback was the construction.

Very nice hotel, unexpected due to the low cost I paid. Indoor n outdoor pool, bar and lovely restaurant. Near the art/ theater district where I was attending an event. The aquarium was also very close. Will definitely stay here again in the future.

The hotel lobby is nice, the hallways are horrible. The height is only 6.5 tall. It's an old hotel that has had a few thing added to bring it to date. Bed is comfortable but covers are thin and barely a sheet. They only provide 1 washcloth, and 1 towel for a king size room. Breakfast is 11$ for cereal, sausage and gravy, a few other things. Not worth […] the money at all!! Customer service is horrible. Guy at front desk is rude. another customer had called in and asked why they hadn't picked him up yet and then he said they didn't see him (lied) and told the guy to go pick him up. It was awful! I enjoyed staying in this hotel. It was really nice in a very comforting area. Everything is so close from this location. I definitely would stay here on my next trip to Dallas.

Nothing fancy. It's a little run down, but clean. You can't beat the price for what you get. Does have a restaurant and lounge.

There was nothing really wrong with the place but nothing great either. It's an old holiday Inn is that is in need of a major renovation. 635 is under construction so getting in and out of the area is a pain.

older hotel, lobby area has been redone, very nice. rooms need updating but the beds and linens were great. darkest, most quiet room we have ever had for sleeping. location is convenient except for road construction. staff was great.

I had stayed there before in January when it was still a Holiday Inn. I feel my room was nicer this time. There was a power outage and I think the hotel staff handled that crisis very well, offering to walk me up the stairwell. Overall it was nice and I plan to stay there again.

They were not expecting the amount of guests they had last weekend. Just one person atended the restaurant and one more the bar. A piece of paper I saw on the elevator floor Saturday night kept there until Sunday night! Did anyone clean? The building is old.

I have stayed at this Hotel (when it was a Holyday Inn) on several occasions in the past, all without incident. This all changed however, however, when my wife and I stayed there on Dec. 4 and 5 (2012). It is an older Hotel but it was kept up to a reasonable standard (as most Holiday Inns are) but this isn't the case now. It was sold recently and is […] in dire need of TLC. We were switched to 3 different rooms on 3 different floors (and my wife doesn't travel lightly either) the first day due to broken plumbing, broken air unit and a shower curain and curtain rod falling out of the wall. The staff was very nice but that it was the only pleasant thing. No attemp was made by Management to return my calls or complaints. Les mer

It's a nice hotel with amazing food but the area is horrible, construction has made it really hard to find and get into too. 3 different gps devices have all been thrown off and the area is really bad. I left to go to the store at midnight and a cop pulled me over that was sitting in the hotel parking lot and told me they've had a bunch of car thefts. […] He ran all of my info and my DL before leaving. Last time I stayed here it took them two hours to check me in after I showed up. Worse thing is they have rigged the tv so you can't hook up a DVD player or game system because they want you to rent a $15 movie from them. Oh and the hot water in the sink didn't work. Front desk clerk told us the wrong room number at first. Got the right room number after going down stairs, then 1 out of 3 of our keys work. Glad we didn't get separated since we had only one working key.

my stay was great. heavy construction in the area, but easy access from the interstate. back door was unlocked all the time was my only concern, should be key accessible only, but was damaged

The hotel is under-going a renovation but was still very nice. It's in a great location in the heart of Dallas, directly off I-35 & 635. It has indoor & outdoor pools & hot tubs. Nice lobby, bar/lounge and a great little resteraunt with a pretty good breakfast buffet. Good deal for the price.

No key needed to go into hallway to get to room( poor security)... Tried to use computer in business center but someone who stated he was not a guest was using it and wouldn't let me use the computer. Didn't feel like a good neighborhood. Yes it was a cheap room and that's exactly what I got!!

It's an OK place... The rating of 3 stars is generous based on the fact that it's the sort of hotel you don't want to take your socks off at. Just feels dirty. Dimly lit.

Great place to stay for the price. Road construction was all around but it was very easy to get to and from.

The Hotel was nice overall. The only issue was with one of the floors we were originally put on. It had an old moldy smell. We asked to be moved and they did do so on the spot. If it was not for that issue I would have given all fives. I would like to see it again once the new renovations are finished as well. I would go back and stay here anytime […] . Les mer

Loved the pool could have been a little cleaner but overall was ok. Staff was ok but need to be more friendly . Room smelled a little bad we had to open the door and it was ok after that.

Hotel was adequate for the price. The hotel was old. Carpet was stained in places and wrinkled in the hallway and bedrooms. A lot of upgrades are planned and it should be very nice.

Older but nice. It has indoor & outdoor pool! Nice looking bar inside, which I did not visit. Check in staff was nice.I couldnt make it by midnight & just called hotel to ensure our rooms were not cancelled. Chris, was wonderful on the phone, & I was not given any problems at check in. Booked 2 rooms, one for my parents, the other for my kids & I. No […] probems with either, other than the r.r. only had 3 bath towels. I didnt ask but Im sure we couldve received more. Our room was facing the pool & had a sliding door,which was nice for us. Hotel does not have free continental breakfast, which I am used to w/ other hotels w/ similar rates. They do have restaurant w/ breakfast buffet. Plenty of parking! Also have a gift shop. Les mer

The Staff was very friendly and helpful. This was a no smoking facility, but apparently someone smoked the room. It was bought to the attention of the front desk, they quickly upgraded the room and gave 2 complementary breakfast buffet coupons. The breakfast was good and the service in the resturant was great.

we recently stayed at the hotel. When we got there the lobby was very nice the personel was friendly. Of course the construction around the hotel makes it messy to get to, but the guy at the front desk was super nice and the room wasn't bad at all. Could use an updated tv. Watch your gas, though. The next morning, my gas cap was off and my tank was on empty...

Unforunately the road construction makes it difficult to get to and the hotel remodeling is going slowly. But the staff was very friendly and the room was clean, and I picked this place because of the indoor pool which was nice!

Overall this hotel was great. The rooms were nice, the staff was very friendly, and the location allows ease of access to many different attractions. The hotel is undergoing a renovation, and the road to get there was under construction, but those were my only complaints.
