Utrolig bra hotell i et trygt område av Barcelona. Ligger rett ved shoppinggaten Diagonale. Masse små konditori og frokoststeder i området. I følge lokale personer jeg kjenner i Barcelona er det her de selv ville bodd hvis ikke formålet var kun party og strandliv. Ligger 2 km fra Nou Camp, 500 m fra byens beste kjøpesenter Lila. Hop on off bussen stopper […] 350 m fra hotellet. 6 euro med Taxi til Colombus statuen. Ser noen skriver at det ligger noen strippeklubber rundt hotellet. Det er sandt, men disse skaper ingen bry om du ikke forviller deg inn på disse. For å sammenlikne med London er dette byens Mayfair område. Les mer

I didn't know what to expect and was very pleasantly surprised. Upon our arrival, we were told about the breakfast plan. For 49 euros we could have an upgraded room along with a delicious breakfast plan daily. Later in the evening the hotel offered a light tapas affair with alcohol, which was also included in that amount. This was truly a treat since […] I wasn't expecting this. Held an event and stayed at the hotel. From beginning to end, impeccable service. Not one thing i could complain about. Ok, maybe the €20 drink but otherwise, it was great. :) Room is nice and comfy but some of my colleagues did mention that theirs were not that big so I guess its the luck of the draw on that one. Do bear in mind, its a good 10-15 […] minute walk to the nearest metro station, Hospital Clinic. However, it is on on a central line with easy access to the rest of the city. Very large room - comfortable beds and pillows. Jacuzzi bath! Very central but in a noisy area of the city - Diagonal and Saria are two busy streets. Very clean, Very professional staff. No real restaurant but nice bar.

we had a wonderful stay at this hotel .the staff were so helpful and friendly nothing was to much trouble. The room and hotel was very clean and food was great.

I opted for the city view room when I was doing my booking, I didnt see the difference really.The initial room I was given was had a NASTY smell, the room had to be changed. In my opinion its definitely not a 5 * hotel, the rooms werent that modern. and it was way too small.The staff was nice though and the room was cleaned promptly.

Loved everything about it. Front desk very helpful. Only down side was that the internet station wasn't working. I was'nt aware of additional computers on 1st floor until my last day. It would have saved me a lot of problems with my flights had I had the use of a computer. If the computers can't be made to work, it would be better not to offer that […] option. Les mer

The hotel is fine. The location is not convenient for the harbour -we were taking a cruise. My problem was our ability to access our room on return from the cruise. We were discharged fro the boat early and arrived at the hotel about 10;30am. We were not able to go to our room until 1:30 pm. It was inconvenient. Other than that our visit to Melia was […] fine. Excellent location away from the busy crowd, but easily accessable, near good shopping and spa has some relaxing treatments. staff are very friendly and accomodating.

It was absolutely fantastic. Everyone was so kind and helpful. Breakfast was awesome. It was a short taxi ride to main places in Barcelona. The room was great even though it was not one of the most expensive. I will definitely stay there again when I go back to Barcelona.

Great hotel, very clean, luxurious room at a decent price. Good location with nearby metro, bus stop for tourist bus and train to airport. The only problem we experienced was a large group of noisy girls in the next room, which took 2 calls to reception and 2 separate visits to reception in the middle of the night to ask for help to stop them keeping […] us awake- Although we appreciate the noise is not the hotels fault. From the US, stayed with my girlfriend. Very nice hotel, the staff was friendly and helpful. They all speak about four different languages. Hotel was very nice, clean, and well designed. One minor detail, the lobby smelt odd... not bad, not good, just odd. Can't explain more than that. Didn't actually eat here, but the restaurant looked nice, as well […] as the lounge area. The room was very nice, liked everything about it. One minor thing they needed to fix, the shower had a bit of mold on the ceiling, didn't look very good. One other thing about the service which really upset me, we had our Do Not Disturb sign on the door, but they still literally entered our room without knocking while my girlfriend was naked. Proof that those signs don't always get the job done. Finally, the location is good, but not great. You are basically on the Diagonal, which is the main parkway with all the shopping and stores. But the hotel is on the West end, so you need to do some walking to get to the really nice area. I feel like I am being pretty harsh in this review, overall the stay was excellent. They just could've done a few small things to take it above and beyond, but fell short on some details. Would definitely recommend, but you can find better hotels in Barcelona, although they are probably more expensive. Les mer

Was told there was a seasonal pool and there was not. Breakfast was cold. The pool was 15 euros per person plus 3 euros for a swimming cap and 6 euros for flip flops - all of these you had to have or you could not use the pool

Hotel and rooms were clean Breakfast buffet range was extensive The only downside was the walls between rooms were thin and you could hear other guests if they were a bit loud

I was unable to convince the hotel staff that indeed our HVAC was not working. The internet had new usernames and passwords six times during my stay there. Too much hassle.

Great place to stay with clean rooms and very friendly staff who were happy to help with transport and travel enquiries regarding tourist destinations etc. The twin standard room was a reasonable size but not overly spacious. The Hotel is located slightly away from the centre of town in a business district however transport links are good and the 59 […] bus goes straight to placa catalunya and carries on to the beach, a short 20 min journey away! The open top tourist bus also has a stop close by to the hotel with was convenient and useful. Breakfast at the hotel was great with a wide selection to choose from each morning. It's a nice hotel with very clean rooms. Breakfast is HUGE, but also very expensive. If you're not into gluttony first thing in the morning, don't get the breakfast in the hotel and grab a coffee and croissant at one of the cafes near by. The hotel was clean and comfortable, extras such as pay preview movies and drinks in bar are expensive. The hotel is in the shopping area but not close to La Rambla, no near by tube halt and bus is a 10min walk away but does leave La Rambla and stop near hotel. The Melia is a very nice Hotel. The bedroom area is a little small for extended stays in my opinion. Very modern and high tech. The exercise area is small. The bathroom area was spacious and very well out together. I would go back.

This hotel work for a short business trip only - sharp lines, sterile modern business decor, close to the business district and conference centre, and far from tourist areas and from the beach - not really walkable for tourists. The basic rooms are shoebox-size tiny, can walk around the bed without bumping hips and shoulders into the walls, nowhere […] near what you'd expect for a holiday at this high price. The only nice rooms are two-room suites - they are large, very nice, especially if you also buy access to the business-lounge with free breakfast and drinks. Stayed at Melia Barcelona on recommendation from colleague. Hotel is located in business district, just off Ave. Diagonal. Good shopping and restaurants in easy walking distance. 10 minute taxi ride to La Rumbla. Hotel was great. Excellent staff who helped out with local knowledge, maps, directions, bus routes etc. Room had the largest king size bed […] I've ever seen. Very quiet, modern. All chrome, glass and dark wood. Great hotel, beyond expectations and it's really affordable. At check-in, the front desk people were trying to push me into buying extra services (by the way, they succeeded ;) ). I love the whirlpool tub and a separate shower with massage option.

Upon arrival at the hotel, we immediately went to the concerige for help to locate our luggage. Hugo helped up immensly and we felt he went above and beyond to help us locate our luggage. On the day we left, he forwarded our last piece of luggage which arrived after we had left. Thank you so much for all the hotel did to help us.

We stayed at Barcelona Melia north of city centre for 3 nights. Hotel is close to Avenue Diagonal, couple of miles from Barcelona football club. The metro station Hospital Clinic is about under 10 minutes walk and there are plenty of restaurants, cafes, bars nearby. Hotel is clean and friendly staff with reasonable room facilities - only wish they had […] coffee/tea making facilities in the room. Walk to the Rambalas is about 40 minutes, so not bad location. Dark and dank, reeked of musk. This hotel is suitable for lonely, male, middle aged, unhappy business travelers. That is what I encountered in the hotel at checking in and at the breakfast. Nice sized rooms with ample space, and modern bathrooms with deep tubs for soaking tired feet. You will walk a ton in Barcelona, and with the location of this hotel being slightly off the main track, you will definitely be using those feet of yours. Beds were comfortable and the room quiet. It doesn't make sense in Barcelona to pay an extreme amount of money for a hotel room because a.) you won't be in it that often because you will be exploring, eating, and drinking all day and b.) there are so many hotels to choose from that it should be easy to find a well priced hotel. The staff members at the Melia Barcelona were friendly, and spoke English very well. The Concierge made great restaurant recommendations, and there is even an area to use with computers and internet access. I was hoping to try the Spa, but we ran out of time. El hotel está muy bien, el personal muy atento, aunque le encontré varias pegas... La piscina está dentro del SPA, con un sobreprecio de 20€/persona. La TV se veía con interferencias y no disponía de canales musicales, por lo que la conexión de sonido con el baño no la encontré del todo útil (si añaden canales musicales estaría genial, ya que se oía […] fenomenal desde el baño). Pedí cama de matrimonio y juntaron 2 individuales, con lo que siempre te queda ese incómodo hueco entre las 2 camas, aunque he de decir que la comodidad de los colchones era espectacular. El baño, una pasada, ducha con opción de modo lluvia (no encontré la forma de activarla) y bañera jacuzzi individual, junto con el sistema de audio que antes he comentado hacían de este un baño perfecto, el único pero que tuve fue que se salía el agua de la ducha (no demasiada, pero es incómodo y peligros que se moje el suelo del baño, ya que te puedes resbalar). El personal fue muy atento y correcto en todo momento. No tuvimos oportunidad de probar el desayuno, pero nos lo habían recomendado (aconsejable contratarlo en el check in, ya que sale más económico que contratando alojamiento+desayuno). Me gustó, pero hay mucha oferta hotelera en Barcelona. Probaré otros. Les mer

Tudo funcionou perfeitamente. Lá fizemos um up grade para o Level que dá direito a comida e bebida inclusos de 7h a 23h, e vale muito a pena.
