"Wonderful stay!"
Great people and nice room. The guests were very loud however, but you can't control that! The doors should be adjusted as you have to slam them to shut them - the people across the way came and went all night having to slam the door each time and woke me up. Your staff all around was attentive and nice. My daughter will be attending King's and my family […] and I will most certainly be back! Les mer

"Wilkes-Barre Ramada"
THis hotel is convenient.I;m not sure why I am always on the 8th floor, maybe that is the only floor they use. You can tell it's seen better days. The rugs throughout are stained, it can become noisy...walls are thin. As far as the bed and bathroom, it was OK. It was clean, just older appearing. "RAmanda Inn-public square"
Check-in was easy. The room was comfortable. There is free wireless internet acccess with a password that changes weekly. I had a nice view of public square from my room. There is no free breakfast but plenty of local restaurants& even a Rite-aid nearby. The only complaint is my hair dryer wasn't working but I didn't need it since I stayed only one […] night. "Dirtiest hotel I have ever walked into"
This is the wosrt kept hotel I have ever been in. I didn't even stay the night. I finished the business I had in Wilkes Barre and checked out. The stench as soon as the elevator door opened to my floor was disgusting. Then walking into my room was even worse. The carpets were stained and grimey gross. I had to keep the window open in 30 degree temperatures […] just to be able to breathe, it smelled so bad. The furniture was dusty and filthy and old. I refused to even sit on the beds. There were pubic hairs in the bathroom. No joke. And when I went to use the iron on my BRAND NEW WHITE DRESS SHIRT it stained the shirt with rust. The only good part of this hotel is the daytime front desk guy. He was nice. The night time guy was rude and acted like it was a bother to wait on anyone. I would never ever recommend this hotel to anyone. I thought that Ramada's were a reputible hotel until now. I will never stay in another Ramada ever. Worst hotel ever. Les mer
"Clean, but outdated and run down"
Hotel was clean, had a nice view of the square. Very run down. Front desk clerk was very helpful.

This was a very nice find. I stopped there on my way back home frome my daudhters college. Very clean, very inexpensive and a very nice location. The only thing keeping me from giving this 5 stars is that it had full size beds. I haven't stayed many places except budget hotels that don't have queen beds. Uncomfortable for 4 people. "Rude service"
The clerk was rude, messy and didn't want to take the time to stop talking to his companion on the phone. The room was non-smoking and smelled worse than a bowling alley. The carpets were stained and they did not provide blankets on the beds. Worst place I have ever stayed.

Stay was comfortable and all we needed for the evening. Close to downtown, convenient & easy parking.

A quick stay,worth the price With a proper cleaning the over-all impression would be much better. Elevators,common areas ect need cleaning or updating.

"Nothing special, but good for the price"
This hotel is OK. The room was comfortable, but could use some modernizing. Free internet is a plus. I was disappointed that the restaurant wasn't open for dinner. Fortunately there were restaurants in walking distance. I also left the hotel for breakfast even though the restaurant was open. "Ramada Inn Wilkes Barre"
Good basic hotel, nothing fancy, but just what we needed to break up the drive from Ohio to Maine. Would stay again if we have the chance. Did appreciate having a mini-fridge and microwave in the room - made keeping our travel food fresh that much easier!

Walls are paper thin. You can hear people talking in next room in normal voices. It's as clear as if they are in your room.

The Ramada Inn in Wilkes Barre is located centrally to many activities. The staff made our stay a pleasant one. The convenience of having a restaurant right in the hotel is especially nice. Not much hotel wise in this area so may be the best you'll do. Don't expect luxury, very basic hotel. Not the cleanest and very out of date furniture. But for the price and location it's tolerable.

Hotel was clean, beds comfortable, etc. Carpet worn, wall paper has curled edges, furniture tired, and TV not flat screen. Good deal over all.

Hotel is old but very good for the price. However, front desk guy looked like hating his job. He seems not knowing how grateful to have any kind of job under this economy. May be I'm wrong. He may be the owner and concern about business as the hotel has so many rooms...

Hotel was OK at best. The front desk attendant seemed as if we were bothering him when we checked in. The hotel lobby had an odor to it. It was free of debris and didn't seem dusty or dirty but had foul odor. The room was clean but the double beds were very very small, so small my husband and I slept in separate beds and we are not large people. We […] could hear the tv from the room next door as if the tv was in our own room and you could hear the people on the street as if they were sitting in our room. "lovely place"
We are a retired couple. We stayed a night at the Ramada last week when we were in Wilkes-Barre for a show. We loved it, the town square it is located on, the many delicious eateries nearby (Toscano's right on the corner was fantastic). But I guess you could say the same for the city itself. Place wasn't particularly nice but it was clean at least. Beds comfortable enough, not noisy. Just needs updating in terms of carpet, furnishings, etc. Fair enough for the price.

I'm originally from the Wilkes-Barre area and had not been back to downtown Wilkes-Barre in many years. I expected an old, worn hotel but was happy to find that it was modern and clean with everything we needed. We'd chosen this hotel because we could walk to restaurants and stores located nearby. The front desk people were all extremely pleasant and […] helpful. The restaurant was perfect for breakfast and very reasonably priced, and the Irish bar was cozy and convenient.
