Hotel Internazionale - Roma

This hotel has a great location close to the spanish steps. It is affordable and the staff is very helpful and friendly. The room was clean and it had what we needed.

Servicen på hotellet var god. Flott frokost. Beliggenhaten var også utmerket. Badene er imidlertid svært små og rommene er urolig dårlig lysisolert ut mot gaten. Som å sove med åpnet vindu!

Meget dårlig standard på rom, iskaldt stengulv, kjelleretasje,,, Fikk nytt rom etter ett døgn. Men bra frokost og hyggelig vertinne. Bra beliggenhet.

Sværtr støyutsatt og ingen aircondition. Har vært i Rom over 30 ganger så jeg har noe å sammenligne med.

This Hotel was su pposed to be a 4 star and should be 1 star at the most.The main lobby carpets are filthy dirty and many parts of the hotel are dirty.The bed sheets were clean but the carpet and baseboards dirty.The room smelled like mold.It ruined our stay in Rome.

Very convenient location, just off the top of the Spanish Steps and a short walk to most sights.

The Hotel was very comfortable and the location was excellent for the shops etc. We were there on business for three days, and found everything in the hotel very comfortable.

Good breakfast, kids-friendly, large rooms and very clean. will recommend. enjoy your visit

This hotel is beautiful, a refurbished antique hotel right behind the Spanish steps. Its location is perfect and it's close to so much one would want to see in Rome. Our room was great for 2 girls - big bathroom with a cute view, though the shower was small. The room was also spacious and the bed was big. We heard the breakfast was supposed to be amazing, […] but to be honest it wasn't anything special. They had a decent amount of selection but nothing out of the ordinary. I only ran into our problems on our last night, and was left with a bad taste in my mouth. My friend and I were checking out very early in the morning, and we got a call from home (NY) at 4am Rome time, 10pm Eastern time. The receptionist scolded our caller, saying it's 4am. Isn't the name of this hotel "internazionale???" Shouldn't its staff be prepared for calls at any hour, as they come from different time zones all around the world??? Anyway, an hour later, when we checked out, we had to pay a city tax for each night we stayed. I was told i could have this waived, but the clerk said it's not possible and had a serious attitude. He kept saying "it's just 12 euros, it's just 12 euros..." Ok, do you want to pay it then? 12 euros is still 12 euros is we can avoid paying it then why not try? We finally checked out and it was pitch black outside. We were still standing outside the door figuring out which way to go for the bus, and this same front desk guy literally shut and locked the door, and turned the lights off in the lobby while we were basically still right at the door. Talk about trying to get your point across.... Aside from that incident, the hotel was pretty good and I would stay there again. But that front desk guy should be fired and read the name of his hotel again before whining about a call at 4am and locking us out. Les mer

Having read Trip Advisors reports before I booked I was not expecting too much. The hotel star ratings in Italy are inaccurate and generally lag reality. This may have been a 4 star hotel decades ago! We booked a room for four, room was large but we were not aware that this included a queen bed and two uncomfortable cots. Aircon was good, street noise […] ok but bathroom tile grout included mold, ceiling had water damage and was not painted, generally very tired presentation. We appreciated the free drinks in the fridge and good breakfast but the front desk generally provided services begrudgingly bordering on rude. Ownership needs to invest in facility and front desk HR. We enjoyed staying at the hotel-it is a historical building and our triple room was exceptionally comfortable! The hotel is located about 100 yards from the top of the Spanish Steps, so it is most convenient in getting around to the major site seeing spots in Rome! -Wendy

Very seedy, unkept - carpets were torn and stained, drapes were falling down - overall the experience was not good

The hotel was definitely not worth 4 stars, but 3 stars at the most! The location was good, the hotel room was decent and the breakfast was better than nothing. I would recommend the hotel only based on it's location. The prices should be lower based on the quality and service.

Very nice and affordable hotel in a great popular area. Fun bathrobes and slippers to wear in the spacious room with drinks and granola bars free in the mini bar. They even held our bags for the day when we checked out. Not sure if they thought we spoke better Italian then we did but the front desk spoke minimal English but was very hospitable.. Be […] aware that on the map it's hard to tell that the hotel is BEHIND the Spanish Steps. It took us awhile to realize that in the pouring rain, oh well. I recommend getting off at Barini instead of Spagna if taking the metro because it's a walk up a hill instead of walking up the Spanish Steps or walking around the steps with your suitcases. Les mer

While this hotel is, indeed, in a wonderful location I would most certainly not consider it a 4 star hotel. It is much smaller (with very limited concierge and service staff available) and far more run down than it appears in the photographs. I would describe it as a dusty, quite rundown bed and breakfast facility.

This hotel is extremely well positioned for exploring Rome. In the evenings there are so many places to eat within a short walking distance that we were spoiled for choice. the hotel was clean and welcoming, with friendly and efficient staff. The breakfast buffet offered a wide choice and is served until 10.30 - we like this and have found that many […] hotels are reducing the time that breakfast is offered lately. The only small concerns are the lack of storage space in the bedroom and an inability to get a coffee before 15.00 or late ( seasonal we think). For the price paid this was great value and, as we visit Rome each year, we would use the hotel again. Les mer

I would recommend this hotel for short stays and budget travelers. Wouldn't recommend for families or Americans expecting anything plush. This is a traditional small European style hotel with no frills. I was only staying one night and had to leave at 7am so really didn't get a chance to see the full hotel. Parking wasn't difficult but it was expensive […] for 'valet' 50 feet away. I was told cheaper parking somewhere behind the building. Somewhere. The room was spartan, though not as nice as pictured online. I was happy to confirm recent renovations made the room clean and updated. Bathroom was larger than I expected, and the window let you see up the street to Spanish steps. Downside is that the front desk, while helpful, was slow and couldn't handle more than one person at a time. Les mer

Location for the hotel is absolutely brilliant. AT the top of the Spanish steps and Rome is very accessible. Room was lovely but the bathroom was ridiculously small. The narrowest I've ever seenso much so you could barely dry yourself in there. Overall I wouldnt say it was a 4 star more like a 3 but I'd stay again.

Rooms needs improvement. Wallpaper is peeling, cracked paint everywhere, bathroom door not aligned and doesn't close properly, one of the front deskmen was not friendly or helpful at all and the shower is too small. I'm 5'5 and slim. I could only imagine someone larger than me trying to take a shower. Impossible! This hotel was rated as 4* and in my opinion that is a complete joke! The rooms was tiny, its smelt of smoke, the noise from the street was terrible and the bed covers smelt musty. The staff were rude, unhelpful and even lied to me about water being in my room - i requested another bottle of still water at reception and they told me there was already […] one in my room - i told them that i had already drunk that and i wanted another one and they said there was one in my room. I went up to my room - no still water, so i had to go back to reception to ask for a bottle and they woulodn't give me one because he was the only memeber of staff on and he couldn't leave the desk. My collegue had his bag removed from him room without his permission and the code on the safe changed with his valuables still in the safe - all he got was "it was a mistake" no apology, nothing. The only thing that is good about this hotel is its location - but i would say that for the money you pay for a room you might as well pay less and actually get a good nights sleep. Les mer

The location is great. The walls in our room were fabric...old, peeling, yellow, musty-smelling fabric. The elevator is about 4 feet square. The breakfast and staff were the best part. Our friends' room seemed newer and prettier, but the sewage smell was unbearable. The front lady desk gave us incorrect directions and we nearly missed an appointment; […] the walk to Hertz was supposedly 5 minutes and she said we'd see the Hertz sign at the top of the hill. In reality, Hertz is in an UNDERGROUND parking lot with absolutely no signs indicating such. Les mer

Hotel located only 100 mtrs from the top of the Spanish Steps.Very nice room with a lovely private terrace off the bedroom. All staff very friendly.

Fantatstic location, friendly staff, lovely breakfast. The only downfall was the bed and Air Con. There was a slight ridge in the middle of the bed but still managed to sleep ok and on the second night the air con unit started making a slightly annoying noice! We chose the Internationale because it is located at the top of the Spanish Steps, and very close to a metro station- a must when visiting all the sights! A two minute walk also takes you to the Via Veneto and Piazza Barberini. A wonderful breakfast starts the day off to a good start- choice of cereals, meats ,cheeses,bread, fruit,eggs.- The staff […] are very attentive, and nothing is too much trouble- would definately stay here again! Management could use a course in interpersonal relations. Room window opened onto a vent. Noisy and dark and dank. Had to go looking for the bell boy with our bags. Had to find a bartender. Glad we left our car in Tivoli because the location would have been a nightmare for parking. We stayed in 12 Italian hotels on this three week trip and also visited […] family. Location is great from touristic and shopping point of view(however noisy because of cars, also late night and early morning). Service is good and accommodating. Breakfast is fresh and tasty. Good spread. Rooms are too dark and we moved around a few times within the hotel. When I booked, I was told that I am getting "superior" rooms but the hotel calls […] them standard rooms. People used to American standards of rooms cannot stay in a standard room. It's just too small. Also since it is above the Spanish steps, you should only choose this hotel if your legs are very strong. Les mer

The hotel is situated 2 minutes from the top of the Spanish Steps, so is handy for most tourist destinations. Beautifully decorated throughout, the hotel is full of charm. Lots of very old features such as Murano chandeliers and old beams etc. The bedroom was very comfortable, clean and warm (in March). The dining room was lovely, breakfast was […] excellent (particularly the staff). Lots of choices of cereal, fresh fruit, pastries, eggs and bacon, meats, cheeses etc etc etc. The only downside (which I suspect would be applicable to most hotels in major cities) was the noise from the traffic until approx 11pm - however the hotel do provide ear plugs which do work! Ett ganska litet men riktigt trevligt hotell med bra frukost. Rummet hade stor balkong och det fanns dessutom en gemensam terass på taket. Ligger 150 m från Spanska trappan vilket blev "start och mål" för våra utflykter. Bor gärna här igen.

Perfekt beliggenhed. Fin service, dejlig morgenmad. Kedelig tagterasse uden servering. Slidte umoderne værelser. Nok mere et *** hotel, men belligheden kompenserer. Hvem er i Rom for at være på et holtel værelse.

Confortable room; To much moquette on the floors; not only in the room but also in the common zones (including elevator!!); how can you be sure it is clean?

Hotel antigo mas melhorou desde a ultima estadia lá. Parece que estão fazendo melhorias. Café da manhã ótimo e localização muito boa. atendimento muito bom por parte dos funcionarios. Precisaria modernizar os mobiliários.

Meget meget slidt. Meget støj fra gaden fra 1.sal. God rengøring. Rimelig morgenmad. Særdeles hjælpsomt personale og perfekt beliggenhed.

Fantastisk beliggenhed. Dejlig tagterasse med udsigt over byen. Flot rengøringsstandard. Et rigtig klassisk italiensk hotel.

Pænt, klassisk og hyggeligt Hotel - meget venligt, professionelt og hjælpsomt personale. Lidt støj fra gaden (Via Sistina) - som vi troede var utrafikeret, men der kom nogen biler hele døgnet. Vores værelse havde dog både ydre og indre vinduer - det hjalp meget at lukke dem. God morgenmad - fint udvalg - dog tynd kaffe. Placering lige ved den spanske […] trappe (ovenfor). Hvis det er varmt er det godt at komme lidt op over byen.. Desuden fint i.f.t. at se Rom centrum (der er en elevator hvis bentøjet ikke er til lange trapper) - og tæt på Metro, taxa plads og busser. Det er ikke det allerbilligste Hotel - men fin valuta for pengene synes vi. Tag en taxa fra lufthavnen - meget nemmere og koster 40 euro (fast pris). Les mer

Det var vores første tur til Rom. Og vi var selvfølgelig spændte på hotellet og beliggenden i forhold til, at vi ville gå rundt i Rom. Vi kom omkring middag og fik værelset med det samme....og hvor var det et dejligt rent værelse med meget pænt og rent badeværelse. Personalet var meget hjælpsomme og imøde kommen. Morgenbuffen var meget fin med et dejligt […] udvalg. Beliggendeheden er super i forhold til vores behov. Kommer jeg tilbage til Rom , vil jeg helt sikkert bo her igen. Les mer

Dejlig hotel med meget god service over hele linien. Reception, bar, morgenmads område og rengøring alle var søde. Men det var et slidt hotel og vi havde ikke de bedste senge. Rengøring var næsten i top. Vores vindue på badeværelset var utæt, og det træk, da vi var der i februar. Der var fin varme på værelset. Lydtætte vinduer er vist lidt overdrevet. Men […] lokationen er fantastisk og den fås ikke bedre. Receptionen var rigtig god til at give tips og anbefale gode restauranter - hele 2 styks fik vi prøvet, og de var gode. Jeg vil give hotellets standard 3* Service 4* Lokation 5* Generelt et godt hotel til værdien efter vores mening. Les mer
