I live in the area but booked this room for a night out in Walnut Creek so I didn't have to drive home. Was disappointed in myself when I realized it isn't as close to downtown Walnut Creek as the Marriott. But the hotel proved me wrong. HOTEL AND STAFF WERE VERY NICE. HOWEVER, OUR ROOM NEVER GOT CLEANED, OR TOWELS PROVIDED ON EASTER SUNDAY. I REALIZE IT'S A HOLIDAY, BUT THERE SHOULD BE A BACK-UP PLAN. ALSO, WE HAD NO TV FOR THE 3 DAYS WE STAYED THERE. THEY SAID THERE WAS A SATILITE PROBLEM, BUT TV'S WORKED IN THE LOBBY.

Ask to be away from the BART. I had it flying by my room starting early that morning. Now I needed to be up early so it didn't keep me up but if I had wanted to sleep in it would not have happened.

Our stay was just ok. We stayed at this specific hotel because it had an indoor heated pool. The pool was overrun with unsupervised children and way to small for the amount of children in the pool. Our room was clean and comfortable, however we had an adjoining door with a family that had several children and a dog. About 1/2 the hotel runs parallel to the BART line. Very noisy. Needs better insulated windows. Otherwise, top notch and great price.

The Embassy Suites is a very fine venue. The only deficiency is the required valet parking which slows down coming and going. A self parking option would be very welcomed.

Over all the hotel was very nice. it was close to just about everythin we wanted to do. The only thing I had a problem with was not beeing notified about the valet parking fee until the day we left. something like that would make me look at another hotel next time.

This is a nice hotel. The lobby is the coldest lobby I have ever been in. That is a disadvantage when you have to bundle up like you are going to Alaska when going to breakfast. The freshly made omelets is the way to go. The other premade food is sub par and cold. The evening happy hour is great and a wonderful way to end a day.

I have been staying in this hotel every month for over a year now and it is generally very good. However this month they were crowded and I got a smoking room even though I requested non-smoking. The room stunk like smoke as did the bedding. Very unpleasant to sleep in. I will not be going back for awhile.

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying last weekend and it was his first time. He simply fell in love with the whole ambiance. The room was very clean, bed was so comfortable and the hotel had all the ammenities, we didn't have to leave at all. My only complaint, was that our room was adjacent to the BART tain and the noise, well you can only […] imagine. So if your staying at this location, reserve a room away from the train tracks! I spent an hour trying to leave a wake up call. Could not get anyone to pick up a phone. Went to bed and didn't sleep well worrying I'd wake up too late. Also did not care for the expensive valet parking, the fee required for internet service, or the frigid lobby/atrium. We were very pleased with the size of the room, the cleanliness and the comfort. This particular hotel is beautifully decorated and the ambiance is very relaxing. The morning coffee was delicious, so that alone earns big points! We will definitely stay here again when we go visit our son in Berkeley, or want to visit San Francisco. Hotel is typical embassy suites with large central atrium. Breakfast and managers reception are a nice touch for a well priced hotel. Location is not great for access given the little corner it is on and the several moderately busy roads surrounding it.

The room was spacious and fully equipped with a refrigerator, wet bar, coffee maker and microwave. Beds were comfortable and the pillows were ample. The complimentary breakfast with the made to order omelettes are delicious. The complimentary manager's reception features an elegant appetizer spread with vegetables, dip, chips, party mix and warm bread […] and all the alcohol you can drink. The reception area features the bar or the family-friendly lounges complete with coffee tables and couches. The pool area is very child friendly. The only negative was this was a valet parking only hotel and they charge a daily rate plus you have to tip each time you access your car. Would definitely stay there again! Les mer

Our sutie was comfortable for girl talk and we enjoyed the breakfast and gym. The hotel was close to great restaurants and parks in downtown Walnut Creek.

Breakfast with just omletswas a bit tiring. Nice if there were pancakes done fresh. Your buffet waffles seem hardened .

The hotel is in a great location--close to downtown and BART. Unfortunately being close to BART also means you can hear the trains depending upon where your room is located. But, it's hard to beat the hotel for room, breakfast, cocktail hour, etc. Staff are very friendly and helpful. After three weeks I have had enough! Cold showers, slow service, slow elevators, birthday parties for kids at breakfast (noisy!) ... not a place for business travelers. ONLY PARKING IS VALLET!! Anticipate extra $20 per day if driving. No other place anywhere near to park so for them it is a "Gotchya!". Suggest you seek alternatives. See you there!

The room was clean and comfortable. It was perfect for us, a separate room with a king bed for my husband and I and in the sitting room the sofa pulled out into a bed for our 22year old son.The only drawback was that BART went right by our window and if we didn't live on a busy street I'm sure the sound of it going by all night it would have kept us […] up. We were very happy with this property. The staff went all out to make our stay perfect. Great rooms, great breakfast, efficient front desk staff, we enjoyed our stay. We would diffenatley stay here again.

Per previous reviews, we requested a room away from the BART tracks. That was good advice. Our stay was peaceful. The staff (front desk, valets, bellhops, bartender, buffet personnel) were all professional, helpful, and cheerful. Those are the attitudes I like to see when staying away from home. I hadn't been in an E.S. hotel since the late 80's/early […] 90's and was pleasantly surprised. There's been a lot of updating in the suites...large showers, a vanity and sink in the bedroom, flat-screens in both rooms, and a very comfy, cozy king bed. The kids really enjoyed a dip in the pool before check out. Not sure if someone dumped soap in the hot tub though, it was very foamy/sudsy. The evening reception appetizers were a bit disappointing. Potato and tortilla chips, (sans salsa), some olives, veggies and dip. I'm thinking most people would forgo the free cocktails and pay a buck or two on drinks in exchange for some upgraded appetizers. It would still be a great deal, and would class it up a bit. We expected to pay the $16 valet charge, as I had read about in reviews prior to going. I was preparing myself to suggest to management that they consider compllimentary valet service since there apparently are no other parking options. However, again we were pleasantly surprised that we were never asked for money for parking. Perhaps it is included in the room price now? Or perhaps they've done away with the additional charge. Either way, it was nice not to have to pay for parking on top of the room rate. Bring snacks from home though, or make a trip to the grocery store. The prices for a bottled water or a bag of chips after hours (in their snack shop across from the front desk) are pretty inflated. Overall a good stay. Les mer

Comfortable, reasonably priced hotel to stayon a weekend for a Bay Area trip, especially with kids. It's located directly across the street from BART for easy access to SF without the hassle and costs of driving and parking in the city. We don't do things in the direct vicinity of Walnut Creek but it's very accessiblie to East Bay activities and locations […] as well. Acceptable, clean "suite" rooms with refrigerator, microwave, and a sofa-bed which gives parents a little privacy from their kids! The breakfast buffet is very standard fare but acceptable (crowded on weekends), saving time and money finding a place to eat breakfast. No parking costs over the weekend (you can park free yourself in the adjacent underground parking for which you are otherwise charged $25+ per day for valet!). Also a nice indoor swimming pool which we didn't use this time. Staff is friendly and the facility, though older, is well maintained. Les mer

We had a very pleasant stay at the Embassy Suites, friendly personnal, helpful at all times. Breakfast was great, good choice of omelettes, fruits, cereals, etc. Also 5:30 to 7:30 bar open, cheese & crackers, vegetables with trempette was appreciated, manager would come and have a chat with customers, I highly recommand that hotel.

I booked one room for four and another for three. It took half an hour for them to find a suite for the first group of four! When my mother with party of three arrived, the only room available was on the smoking floor even though I requested a nonsmoking room. We crashed my husband's business trip and Embassy Suites was a perfect mix fora business trip and family vacation. My kid's loved the breakfasts and the Shirley Temples at the Manger's Coctail Party thing. We'll stay at Embassy Suites again, especially if we are traveling as a family. On the down side? The room's thermostat was wonky!

Our hotel stay was better than exceptional, it was perfect. The staff is friendly and the room was big and spacious. will stay here again.

Tried to go to sleep at 10:30 PM, but my 5th floor room overlooked the BART tracks. Enough noise every 15-20 minutes that I was unable to fall asleep. OK, I thought. I have a suite, I'll use the sofa-bed in the interior room. Well, good luck with that. Those beds are so uncomfortable, I wonder why the hotel even bothers. Thankfully, BART either doesn't […] run after midnight, or runs far less frequently. I went back to (the real) bed at midnight and slept very comfortably. Parking is $16/night. My husband and I were ok with the stay and the comfort of the room, the outside entities were a challenge... the Pool area is closed to kids after10pm and my husband and I went down to enjoy the jacuzzi and some quiet time and there were about 7 noisy kids in the pool and the hotel did not regulate it, we could not hear ourselves speak so we only stayed […] in the jacuzzi for 10 minutes..... Also the next morning for breakfast there is a door that remained open so a delivery guy could bring items in at out and it was freezing so the dining area was not comfortable so the experience was unpleasant. If you are a light sleeper, you may wish to request a room away from the Bart tracks. Other than that, the hotel is excellently located for catching Bart into SF. We had 3 rooms for our family, and it was a great place to meet. The breakfast was very good, and the cocktail hour was an added bonus. We would definitely stay again.

Had some issues with the air conditioner. By end of our stay the Air Conditioning began to cool.

My son and I stayed at the hotel in Walnut Creek CA over the Memorial Day weekend. it was my frist visit to the city and the care and comfort of the hotel made it a wonderful stay. Thanks!
