Avalon Hotel - Miami Beach

Flott beliggenhet midt i hjertet av South Beach. Hyggelig og imøtekommende betjening. Ikke veldig store rom, ikke noe luksus, men noe nær original art deco tvers igjennom. Gratis frokost i tidsriktig spisesal eller på terrassen mot Ocean Drive. Anbefales til alle som ikke er opptatt av utvendig og upersonlig luksus.

Et greit hotel med ca 40 rom, eldre bygning, rent, meget bra restaurant og helt grei frokost. Meget sentralt i forhold til strand og restauranter

Hotellet er flott plassert på Ocean Drive og er veldig innbydende med sin art deco stil. Hyggelig betjening., eneste grunnen til at det ikke blir en ren femmer er frokostbuffen som er for enkel til å bli ne femmer, men tilstrekkelig til å starte dagen på. Hadde et hyggelig opphold på Avalon. Anbefales pga: rent, perfekt beliggenhet, et av de roligste hotellene på Ocean Drive, rett ved butikk og strand, hyggelig og servicevennlige ansatte. Skal jeg til South Beach igjen blir det Avalon!

Hotellet har en veldig bra beliggenhet, men det er stort sett det eneste som er veldig bra med det. Ellers var alt midt på treet. Små rom og veldig dyrt å spise på hotellet, akkurat som på alle andre utesteder som ligger på Ocean Drive.

Hotellet ligger kjempeflott til midt i gaten hvor alt annet ligger :-) Hotellet og personellet er service innstilt, spesielt Anna og George. Rommene var helt grei, vegg til vegg tepper. Gata utenfor er en stor opplevelse. Rommet er lite, men ok. Bra bad. Frokost enkel, men hotellet har en helt spesiell sjarm.

Vil du være der det skjer på Ocean Drive, så er Avalon rette plassen. Hotellet har også en fantastisk fiskerestaurant.

Beautiful Art Deco hotel. Great restaurant. Not exactly sound-proof, so pretty hard to sleep before 2 am when the discos along the Ocean Blvd settle down

This trip was just for a quick getaway to the beach and to the Florida Keys. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms had been very well maintained for a hotel of this age. The location of the hotel was perfect. We were right in the middle of the South Beach scene and we enjoyed sitting at the outdoor restaurant and people watch. The service was absolutely amazing. Very accommodating and fun. Room was small, but that's ok for a hotel built in the Art Deco era. Bed was very comfortable and with ear plugs, we slept sound. The walls are a bit thin so you can hear the footsteps above you and the tv next to you, but not horrible. Location was amazing. I can't imagine staying at any […] other location. Les mer

The Avalon staff was terrific. The rooms are acceptable for an old building-not overly large or luxorious but clean with a comfortable bed. My issue was with South Beach. Parking is a nightmare. There's a steady stream of drunken revelers and police activity. It was difficult to sleep with all that noise.

We try to get to SoBe once a year and love to stay at the Avalon. It's a great old art deco place with lots of atmosphere. Right across from the beach on Ocean and in the heart of the historical art deco district. With so much to do right there, we rarely use our car for the 3 days we stay. The breakfast was included in our reservations. It was fresh […] and plentiful and even had a omelet station. Everything was delicious. Our beds were fresh and crisp with all white linens, as were the bath towels. There was something like coffee splashed on the bathroom walls which was unfortunate but we just lived with it. Les mer

I only stayed 2 nights, it was clean and in a great location. It's not a luxury hotel but to be honest, who spends a lot of time in their hotel bedroom when on holiday? Breakfast wasn't amazing but again, I didn't care too much. This is is a basic hotel. the room is small, no frills.. the service of the staff was outstanding. everyone was so nice and helpful. the room was cleaned everyday. There have a beautiful restaurant located in the hotel Lobby. the location cant be beat, right on Ocean drive, across the street from the beach. in the heart of all the action

While the location cannot be beat, the condition of the hotel in NO WAY justifies the price. For a 2-night stay I shelled out nearly $700! The room was TINY and quite old. Serious updating is needed. The staff was extremely helpful and professional.

The hotel was very nice. The nightlife of Ocean Blvd can be very noisy if you sleep before midnight.

Although not directly on the beach the Avalon is a nice place to stay in the middle of everything that is SoBe. Def pricey but rooms are very comfortable and staff are helpful.

food was amazing. location very good. we went there lastweek, perfect timing for art deco, we had so much fun. couldn't ask for more for the price we paid for a southbeach hotel. i will stay at avalon with my next visit there

Great location in Art Deco area. Stayed three nights from Sunday to Wednesday and had a great time taking in the sounds and lights of south beach. It's perfect if you like to enjoy music as its right amongst it all. Great breakfast, only way to park car is valet so add extra dollars to budget. I will stay at the Avalon again if ever in Miami.

Very helpful and accommodating staff - gave us VIP passes to clubs that got us in without cover charges. Great, free continental breakfast. Perfect location on Ocean Drive.

We had a great time when we visited South Beach. The hotel is nice, clean, and convenient. Some hotels in the area have beach chairs in the room, this does not. Our room was smaller then we expected but reasonably clean. The stuff was ok but not extra nice. Very conveniently located in the middle of action on Ocean drive. At night it was pretty noisy from the street. Next time, I would probably find some other place to stay.

The staff was very friendly at check in and the whole time we were there. The location is perfect, being across the street from the beach and close to all the activity of Ocean Dr. The hotel is older but our room was very clean and comfortable and we will definitely there again.

The hotel has a lot of potential, but needs SERIOUS redecorating and updates. It was really more hostel-like than a hotel....I wouldn't recommend staying here or stay here again.

The location is convenient for beach, shopping, eating, and park activities. Front desk clerks (Anna and George) are very warm and responsive. The valet parking young men were very polite, even though we did not use the service. Before check-in we had concern about the noise from Ocean Drive, but even our room was close to the street, we had good night […] sleep during our stay. It provides complimentary breakfast buffet. Croissants were delicious. However, bathroom does not have ventilation. After a shower, the mirror becomes foggy and the floor is wet. The free Wi-Fi is slow.
