The hotel, although deserted during the night due to the casino people, it was enjoyable from dusk to dawn ! Great view of Mackinaw and at night the Grand Hotel ! The bed was my personal favorite due to whatever brand of mattress they use .I usually toss and turn during the night, but don't ever remember any of that until morning and then that great […] view of the island. The staff couldn't have been more helpful . I do wish they had some bacon and/or eggs. The breakfast was still really good with the sausage, sausage gravey english muffins and a slue of other things such as coffee, tea, milk cereal,hardboiled eggs, toast and jellies and much more on top of that ! GOD ! Now i'm hungry again ! All in All a top notch place to go for the atmosphere and price $$$$ ! Hope this helps you making your mind up ? Les mer

This hotel is awesome! Had such a great room with a lake view overlooking the island! The room was very comfortable and clean!! The breakfast in the morning was great! Had many different things to choose from! The pool and hot tubs were clean and well kept. The staff was wonderful. Friendly and met our needs. We would for sure stay here again!!

The hotel staff were very friendly and cooperative during my stay. The continental breakfast had a great selection of breakfast foods which included fresh fruit.
We had a great stay at this hotel. Great rooom, beautiful view of the lake, perfect location for taking the ferry over to Mackinac Island. Very personable staff. We would stay here again!!

Stayed on the Monday night of labor day, the area was quiet and was very commercial. (hotel row) Area was clean and well kept. hotel was alittle dated but functional. beautiful view of Lake Huron. Most room have a balcony over looking the lake.
"One Night Stopover"
For my purpose (A one-night stay en route), this motel was adequate. My morning view was lovely but the price I paid (Even for Labor Day weekend) was way overpriced for the dated ambience. Grateful however for a last minute vacancy on such a busy weekend.

The only good thing I can say about this motel is that it did have nice sunrise view. You could not go down to the lake front since it was not developed, the grassy area between the motel and lake was completely inhabited by sea gulls and geese and therefore a lot of bird droppings. The motel is in need of an update, the non smoking room I had smelled […] like a smoking room. The back screen on the patio door was broken along with the security bar. The security lock device was broken on the main door also. The TV was an older TV . Also the WiFi signal was very weak in our room and couldn't send out emails. The mattress was old and did not sleep comfortably and the bedding smelled. The whirlpool tub was OK and the shower had a weird double head which didn't work so good. The Continental breakfast was joke. We had a room that required us to exit the main parking lot on to the busy highway and then enter the lower parking lot. I definitely would not recommend this motel since there are a couple of newer ones right next door. Les mer
"Beautiful view/ Great Location"
The room we stayed in was on the second floor, and it had a beautiful view of the Lake and the shore line. The bed was big enough but the pillows were flat and had no support. The mini fridge was shoved in a corner and it the door would hang on the carpet so this became a nuisance. The hotel pool was nice and the the two Jacuzzi's were perfectly temperature […] controlled. The "Adult's Only" space with the 2nd Jacuzzi and steam room was nice and solitary for some quiet away from the other people in the pool area. But the steam room seemed to be broken so that was a shame. The "breakfast" room was too small to accompany the guests as they rolled in for breakfast in the morning. Food was mediocre. And outback of the hotel along the water there are no lights out at night so it is very dark. Not able to walk around and enjoy the night. The location was excellent though for site seeing and exploring the city. Les mer

The hotel was clean enough and we were allowed to check in early, which was great. the location was great as our room had a door out the back onto the lawn by the lake. Pool area eeded some tlc and the sauna was not hot, but useable. Lovely staff.

Hotel was close to all the must-see sights the upper pennisula of Michigan had to offer. We came from the south and by staying in St. Ignace we were able to avoid the bridge fee. Also if your visiting Mackinaw Island the ferry comes to St. Ignace which always had a smaller waiting line then Mackinaw City. The hotel was a good price and all the rooms […] face Lake Huron so you always wake up to a beautiful sunrise over the lake. Our room smelled a little funky couldn't tell if it was because someone before us smoked on the balcony but overall you couldn't beat the price. Les mer

The hotel for the money was ok. Was disappointed with the amount of dust on the dresser, light fixtures and on the base of the round table and chairs. Felt that a more thorough cleaning was needed and would have warranted a better review.

Pleasantly surprised to have breakfast available as it was not advertised. Also appreciated having a grocery store relatively close to our motel. Reasonably close for ferry to Mackinac Island and overall a slower pace than Mackinaw City. Motel a bit older but clean. DAYS INN AND SUITES LAKE FRONT IN ST IGNACE WAS CLOSE TO ALL EATERIES AND CLOSE TO ALL SITES WE WANTED TO SEE.WE RECOMEND JAVA JOES RESTURANT EXCELENT COFFEE AND AWESOME VARIETY OF OMELETS AND JAVA JOES SIGNATURE DESSERTS. HE ALSO GIVES MAPS AND POINTS OUT DIRECTIONS TO SITES TO SEE.WE WERE SO PLEASED WITH JAVA JOES WE ATE THEIR EVERY DAY.

"Ok for a night but disappointed"
We stayed with our 2 children for 1 night only prior to going to Mackinac Island. The front staf was very helpful and friendly. They gave us maps of everything and coupons for the ferry. The motel is very old and dark. The breakfast ran out of waffles, very little seating (we saw a ton of people taking a plate back to their rooms, due to the amount […] of space). It is on the beach, nice for a view but no walking available. I felt the price was very high for the age of the hotel. I recommend staying on the Island for the full effect. Les mer

Room was spacious, having a refrigerator was nice. Lovely view-nice to have the balcony.They have seating in the yard/shore to enjoy the water view. Ample food at breakfast but breakfast area was somewhat cramped.Altho, we may have arrived just as everyone else did. Would stay there again without hesitation.

The hotel has excellent lake vier for all the room. Location is very conveninent and close to all the sightseeing places. Lots of great facilites at the hotel offer best value for money. Loved the view from the room balcony. This is what a lakeview hotel should serve!

"Great place to stay"
Great place to stay, staff was friendly and the rooms were well kept and serviced. The area was nice and the locals were very friendly. Close to all the shops and the view from the room looking out onto the water every morning was great. Thanks for everything ,,,
Staff extremely helpful and friendly. Rooms and hallways are in bad need up updating, especially carpeting. Nice view of the Lake Huron, and convenient to local attractions in St. Ignace. Family disappointed with the breakfast, but what you'd expect for "free" - don't think we'd stay here again, nicer looking hotels just up the road.

The hotel is conveniently located. The room was clean and beds comfortable. But the hotel in general and our room in particular are in need of renovation/minor repair. For example: Both the entry door and balcony sliding doors don't fit properly and need adjustment or replacement.

Got a good price on the hotel and the lake view off the balcony / window is great. The room was clean and pool area clean. Front desk workers are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is noisy, bed semi uncomfortable, bugs are bad at night, and the continental breakfast wouldn't meet all health codes. I wouldn't reccomend eatting breakfast here after […] seeing where they store the food. St. Ignace is much better than Mackinaw City to stay. We reccomend the comfort inn at St. Ignace, its a nice hotel and much better than days inn. Les mer

This hotel was worth the money!! It had a great balcony view and a pool, 2 hot tubs, and a sauna. Front desk was very nice and gave us coupons to use on Mackinaw island. Parking was free and it was close to the ferry. Breakfast was good also served to all guests in the morning. We checked in a little before the check-in time front desk didn't say anything. […] Overall, experience was great and very well priced compared to other hotels in the vicinity. Next time I go back I will definitely book this hotel again! Les mer

"Nice view but unable to enjoy it .."
The hotel has a nice view of the lake. The hotel room was clean . It had a good pool. The location was good where you can drive to the ferry dock in less than 5 mins. (not walkable) On the bad side, thought the lake view is good, the balcony is surrounded by so many insects, its not possible to go the balcony to view it from outside. so watch out for […] that. The furniture on balcony was cheap and not sure if you would use it. The breakfast room is small so when the hotel was full on saturday, we found it difficult to find place to sit for breakfast. Overall for the cost, the hotel is a good choice if you will not be hotel for a long time, but there are other hotels around with a good view too which you can check out if required. Les mer

I stayed at this hotel with my husband and 2 more friends on a recent visit to the Mackinac Island. The Hotel was clean, had many additional facilities.. lot more than I could expect out of a hotel at the price (indoor heated pool, sauna, whirlpools, exercise room, games room) Also included free wi-fi in room, breakfast and parking. Location was not […] that good.. away from the historic downtown district... but a few good eateries nearby. Best part I liked about the location was all the rooms have Lakefront balconies. I also liked the fact that there were relaxing facilities like benches, fire pits and swings provided along the water's edge for guests to use. Overall, I was satisfied with my stay here. Les mer

We went up for a quick weekend trip and chose this hotel based on another review (awesome sunrise over Mackinac Island). Unfortunately it was overcast so no awesome sunrise but the view from our room was still incredible. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The front desk attendant was very pleasant. The room was better than expected. The room was very nice and large. The view was spectacular. But the best part was the sunrise...it will not be soon forgotten. Amazing...will definately go back.
