Kort vei til/fra O'Hare int. flyplass. Utenfor Chicago sentrum, så enkelt å komme seg videre uten å havne i tung trafikk. Koselige og høflige ansatte og Legends sportsbar inkorporert i lobby området for å innta middag og drinker til normal pris. Store og fine rom; litt slitte, men rene. Frokosten var langt over middels med utvidet continental frokost. Fitnessrommet var veldig enkelt, men fikk trent basis. Nabolaget er noe slitent forstads- men virket greit.

Hotell valt i utg.pkt pga nær O'Hare-flyplassen. Svært praktisk, to stoppestader frå flyplassen med t-banen (Cumberland). I tillegg lett, rimeleg og kjapt å koma seg med 'blue line' til sentrum av Chicago på same banen. Middels pluss service i skranken på hotellet. Frukost visstnok berre svært lettvint, med 'småkaker' eller liknande. Nytta ikkje dette tilbodet sjølv. Ok reinhald på romma. Var på to forskjellige under opphaldet mitt. Restaurant næraste nabo på eine sida av hotellet, også parkeringsplass knytt til denne, utan at eg fann dette sjenerande. 7 minutts spasertur tek deg til diger supermarknad, der du finn alt du måtte trenga. Også andre småsjapper og ein frisør. 5 minutt til fots til t-banestasjonen. Motorvegen like ved og tidvis flytrafikk over, men gjorde ingenting av betydning. Godt støyisolert.

Rent og pent motell til en rimelig pris når man må bo på en flyplass et døgn. Hyggelig betjening, Spesielt hyggelig sjåfør som gratis beringer deg til og fra O'Hare. Fikk ingen beskjed på forhånd om at frokost var inkludert i prisen før etter at jeg hadde vært ute og spist på Subway i nabohuset:) PS! Er det nødvendig å ha pornokanalen gratis blant alle de andre kanalene? Nødvendig å ha porno på tv-en i det hele tatt?

You couldn't ask for a better downtown location. And these were the best hotel beds I've ever slept on. We had a million dollar view of the Chicago River, yet we didn't spend a fortune. "Perfect!"
My sisters, mother, and I went to Chicago and stayed at Hotel 71 for a get away. It was perfect. The view was wonderful, the staff was very friendly and helpful, and the room was larger than I expected! I hope to go back to Chicago and will definitely stay at Hotel 71. I got a great deal going through hotel.com...it was a perfect get away!

"good location, poor house keeping"
Great location and view of city and river. Very convinient if you want to visit down town Chicago. Many places you can go with 10 mins walking to get breakfast, and nice resturants for lunch and dinner. We parked our car at hotel and bought CTA passes. Went to Navy Pier, John Hancock building, Shedd Aquarium, Museum of science industry , segway tour […] all by using CTA bus. Very easy. The front desk clerks were very helpful. The bed were very comfortable. The housekeeping part of the hotel is pretty bad. We stayed for 3 nights, they did not provide enough wash cloth(we have 4 people, they only provided 2). Oddly, the alarm clock went off at 6:00am the first day. We reseted. The third day, it went off again at 6:00am. The door is NOT sound proof at all. "A memorable stay at 71"
This was my first time staying at Hotel 71. I must say that I really enjoyed my time there. The Hotel staff was helpful and firendly. The food in Hoyt's restaurant downstairs in the hotel was fantastic! The only compliant I had was that I could hear when the guy next to me left or entered his room because the slam of the door was so pronounced, which […] made it a bit annoying at times. And also, I very suprised that they charged a $150 security deposit fee because i used a debit (visa) card to check-in. Modern hotel, decent bar, great views. The free wifi reminded me of traveling back in time to the days of a dial up signal. painfully slow. Ice maker is located on the 38th floor out of 40 floors. I think they should purchase one more ice maker.

Stayed 1 night. In town for a ceremony at the Convention Center. Easy check in. Great front desk staff. We had a city view that was perfect. Comfortable bed. Only negative was no room in bathroom to put toiletries.

not even in their bar is there high definition television, which is the only negative I can state about the place, during NCAA basketball play-offs, this was not appreciated, otherwise a 5-star hotel
"St Patties Day"
We had a deluxe room overlooking the river and didnt even have to leave our room to see all the action. Excellent location and extremely clean and exceptional service. Cant watit to stay here again.

In short- best hotel we've stayed in yet for the money. The hotel was beautiful, clean, modern and conveniently located to everything downtown. Stayed with 3 other friends in this hotel room and it was perfect! There were two separate sinks and the shower/bathroom area were separate from the sinks! It was a very nice hotel and would stay there again! The overall location and comfort of the hotel was good. The rooms were nice and clean. The front desk service was good, however we were disappointed with the housekeeping. My husband and I enjoyed our stay here. We were welcomed at the front desk upon arrival, check in was quick, room was very comfortable and had a great view of the river. Hotel 71 was just fine, nothing to complain about and nothing too impressive. We got a deal on this hotel, which made it vary affordable especially for the location. It's clear the hotel is older, but given the superb location, that's not surprising and it's nicely updated and maintained. The pillows gave both my spouse and I stiff necks, though the […] beds were comfortable - the couple we were with thought the pillows were fine. Since there were four of us, it was nice that each couple had a queen size bed, a full wall of windows, AND there was a open desk and sitting area which didn't make us feel crowded at all. There was plenty of space for us to walk around and keep our luggage out. Oh and some of us would have preferred the sink were out of the bathroom to help with the process of getting ready each day. No breakfast included, which I think is standard for downtown Chicago hotels. Would we stay here again, yes, if we could get a similar deal. Les mer

The hotel was very nice and the people were very friendly as well. the one thing that we were disappointed in was there was not a small refrigerator in the room. i do how ever recommend taking the RIVER VIEW instead of the city view.

The hotel facility and location was very nice. But the front desk was in over its head. We asked for help with a few things and never received it. They were friendly and helpful enough, but never delivered on what they said they would. But the rooms were wonderful, and the views gorgeous.

We stayed here to celebrate our 4th anniversary. I booked this based on TripAdvisor reviews, and the rating is completely justified. When I asked them if they had an anniversary package over the phone, they said they didn't do anything like that, but at check in time, they upgraded us to a beautiful Deluxe View King Size room, facing the River, 2 levels […] above what we booked. There was also a nice bottle of Merlot waiting for us in the room when we entered. As for service, housekeeping and room service was always spot on with our requests and the concierge was very good with his recommendations for dinner and brunch, didn't try to push the restaurant on premises, to us. The location is pretty much the best in Chicago downtown - stone's throw from the Magnificent Mile, facing the River and less than half a mile away from the best restaurants, nightlife and attractions in town. Even though I live in a suburb of Chicago and stayed here for the weekend, I think it was completely worth it, and more. Not to mention, they extended our check out by a couple of hours. Hotel 71 is FABULOUS!!! The LOCATION is great... right across the street from the Chicago Riverwalk. You can walk to everything - great food/restaurants, art, shopping, historical landmarks, etc. I was a little concerned since it wasn't right on Magnificent Mile, but SO glad after walking around that it wasn't. We were close enough to everything, but […] not too close to feel touristy. This location also boasts a great view... the water and lights look very pretty at night. The STAFF - Very friendly people. They were genuinely helpful and polite. I mean everyone was... the bellhop, room attendants, front desk and concierge. I wasn't expecting southern hospitality in the windy city, but was pleasantly surprised. As for DECOR, Hotel 71 has a contemporary chic flavor with a hint of sexy and an air of sophistication. The attached restaurant/bar is the perfect spot for drinks and delicious food! Our room was spacious and clean. There were also very good local and chain restaurants nearby. My only complaints here would've been the doorbell (each room has one) and ours wouldn't stop ringing after they brought us more towels - which they promptly fixed; the chaise looked a little warn out and should probably be replaced and the door knob in our bathroom needed tightening. Despite that, my husband and I were both very pleased with the price, location, atmosphere and polite/friendly staff. We definitely plan on a return stay this summer. Les mer

We reserved a room for this past weekend and were very pleased with the accomodations. We reserved and received a king size river view room. The central location to the Magnificient Mile, the Loop, and Millienieum Park makes it a great place to stay. The room size was perfect for us and the service received from the restaurant was great. The only bad part of the stay were the rude individuals on our floor who were yelling during the early hours of the morning (both nights), which kept waking us up. Located at the bend in the Chicago river, Hotel 71 offers excellent river views from it's spacious rooms. We thought the rate was excellent given the location. The staff is helpful. Some of the best restaurants anywhere are just blocks away. Just try room 1803. Marvelous.
