Sentralt beliggende i forhold til The Magnificant Mile, alle restauranter og barer i gåavstand fra hotellet. Dyrt med parkering, 45 $ natten. Herlig rom som føltes som en leilighet. Kjempe fint å bo over lengre tid.

Vi var 5 pers. og hadde 2 rom. Begge var kjempekoselige og bra størrelse. Badene var veldig bra. Betjeningen var veldig behjelpelig. Valet parkering gikk veldig greit, men dyrt. Shoppinggaten var 3 min. unna. Frokost var ikke inkludert, men man kunne spise rett ved siden av på en koselig liten rest. med deilig frokost lite eller stort. Masse koselige restauranter i området. Alt du ønsker å se i Chicago er ikke langt unna.

Hotellet har en veldig sentral beliggenhet rett ved Chicago River, på motastt side av Trump Tower. Kort vei til teater og shopping distrikter.
"Perfect Place--Hotel 71"
Located at the bend in the Chicago river, Hotel 71 offers excellent river views from it's spacious rooms. We thought the rate was excellent given the location. The staff is helpful. Some of the best restaurants anywhere are just blocks away. Just try room 1803. Marvelous.

"Needs updates"
The bathroom shower looked old and very out dated. I would not and did not shower in the bathroom. Hallway had some sort or burnt odor, not sure what that was.

This is one of my favorite hotels to stay at in Chicago for the view alone. Make sure to request a river view room for the full experience. It's also close to almost all of the el lines which is a nice convenience when travelling out of the loop. Hotel and staff were nice. Allowed for early check-in which was appreciated. Stayed in a suite which had a big bath tub and room was clean. I stayed there one night and got the handicapped room which was huge. The only downfall is that there weren't any room darkening shades in the room like most hotel rooms so the sun greeted me bright and early. Besides that, it was an awesome hotel.

As has become a late summer family tradition, my clan loves to stay at the Hotel 71 in downtown Chicago. It's close to all the amenities (shopping and eateries), and is only a couple blocks from the "L", which we ride to within a half block of Wrigley Field. I was upgraded to a room with a beautiful view of the Chicago River and its lovely old skyscrapers. The beds are top notch too. It is really a convenient location for shopping or going to the theater. There are lots of excellent restaurants nearby.
"Great spot, nice hotel but very noisy"
Loved the hotel decor and location. Bed was comfty enough but it was a very loud hotel and what I mean is there wasnt any white noise and I could hear EVERYTHING throughout the night, so I didnt sleep well. I even had the air on fan the whole night and it could not drown out the doors slamming and people talking.
great location but the hotel is definitely a bit worn/dated. Housekeeping was not up to standards at this hotel -- all toiletries were not replenished and we had to call the front desk to complain that the bathtub and sink were not cleaned. We spent a great weekend in November at Hotel 71 in Chicago. We spent a bit extra for the river view room, an expense that was completely worth it. The views were gorgeous from the 28th floor. The hotel is right next to the Chicago River, close to sites along the Magnificent Mile. We easily walked to Millenium Park, The John Hancock Observatory, the […] Art Institute of Chicago, the Chicago Symphony, and the Chicago Architecture River Cruise. Staff courteous and professional. Upgraded us to river view location. Rust near bathtub felt unclean. Our room was in same location as 30something partyers. They woke us up at 300 am and continued to party. We did not complain to front desk. Early morning around 730 am they continued to be very noisy.

"Hotel 71 is the perfect location"
Hotel 71 is located right downtown on Wacker Drive, close to the water taxi, hop-on and hop-off bus stop and boat cruise departure point. It is 2 minutes from the LOOP, 5 mins. from the "EL", really close to a 7-11 for those last minute items, has a fantastic view of the bridges and river and in my opinion is not to be missed. This hotel is nicely located FO n loop or downtown. Overall a welcoming staff and comfortable room now my view was of the new Trump tower and river, beautiful. Staff was friendly. A few issues: more elevator banks are needed, the Lobby is a bit cramped, the fixtures (night stand and desk) had a few worn mark. This was in contrast to the egyptian cotton […] sheets and mattress...very comfortable. "Hotel 71 - CLOSE TO EVERYTHING Downtown Chicago!!!"
My girlfriend and I stayed at Hotel 71 for 3 nights. We arrived really early on a Friday morning (10 am) & room was ready so that was a plus. Our room was on the 30th floor overlooking the river. GREAT VIEWS FROM ROOM. The room was spacious. One thing that I did NOT like was the fact there was no safe in the room. I didnt like that at all. I had nice […] watches that I had to leave in my bags and I'm always sketchy about doing that. The positive spin to that is that the staff was good and nothing happened. The bathroom was a little old school for a "remodeled hotel" but overall, we had a great stay. The hotel is located very central to everything. & Most importantly, priced right. =) Les mer

The citi-view room was excellent, large and spacious with a great view of the Chicago skyline and Lake Michigan. The hotel is centrally located for the theatre, shopping and the museums. Would not hesitate to stay here on my next visit to Chicago.

We had a nice experience at Hotel 71. The only bummer is that there wasn't enough room to include a rollaway bed. The Riverview Suite had a beautiful view!

We stayed at the Hotel 71 for 2 nights as we visited colleges in the area for our daughter. We were very surprised at the size of our room, it was MASSIVE and the view was out of this world (30th floor, river view) was totally amazing. Upon walking into our room, one of the first things to be noticed was the dirty, inside out t-shirt that was left […] by the person that has slept there the night before. Housekeeping did not pick it up nor remove it from our room. It was BRIGHT ORANGE AND LAYING BETWEEN A CHAIR AND THE BED!! This made us wary of the cleanliness of our room from there on out. We tossed it out into the hall and housekeeping picked it up in about 3 hours. The hotel has undergone renovations and is very nice, altho there are somethings that do not make sense in the rooms. Like the bathroom light switch being 2 feet from the floor! Some of the lights operating with lengths of string attached!! The room again was very nice and spacious, the hotel was overall a great place to stay and we will be back! Les mer

My friend and I stayed here just this past weekend and we can't say enough good things. The location is absolutely gorgeous, the room we had was right over the Chicago River, the service was top notch, and if you eat at Hoyt's, you're in for a treat - the food is fabulous. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

The view was amazing. Staff were very friendly and accomindating. Loved the layout of the room, the style too. Bonus was the ceiling shower head amazing! All in all a great place and we plan to stay there again in the future.
