Excellent tennis and golf facilities. Swimming pools are great for young and old. Landscape and river views are fabulous. New James River Landing restaurant is very good with great bar staff.

Stay was very nice. The only problem was i used my debit card for stay and did not appriciate the hundred and five dollar a night incidental fee that was held on my account. This was very inconveinent and still is not released as of this date. all incidentals should be handled when checking out. no incendentals occured with my room.

The one bedroom deluxe suite was fantastic. Rooms were large, the view of the trees and James River were fantastic, and the even the room service was excellent. Might be nice to have ceiling fan in bedroom. Definitely plan on returning.

We arrived at 2:00AM and were greeted by a pleasant staff member; they were very fast and efficient. We arrived at our 2 bedroom condo to find a very clean, roomy and comfortable place to spend while in Williamsburg, VA. We ordered room service the next morning, the service was great and the food was great. We really enjoyed our stay that included 2 […] adults, and 4 children ranging in age from 10 to 17. The check out process was fast and easy. We all will definitely return again and would highly recommend The Kingsmill Resort to all. Les mer

We've stayed at Kingsmill numerous times. We love the amenities and it's a fun place for our young kids. We usually get a one bedroom suite which is plenty of room for the four of us. I love having laundry facilities in our room, our last trip we utilized it quite a bit with the messy toddlers. The only thing I would warn against is a lower floor room. […] They aren't bad as long as you have quiet people above you, but we had a family of elephants above us on one stay and that turned us off to being below anyone in the future. Great resort, friendly staff, good food. Really liked the Marina pub on the river. Great atmospher and views of the river. Unbelievable BAD cable TV in room. Nice HD TV but very few channels in HD. I

We had never been to Virginia before and were very pleasantly surprised by this resort which I found on the internet. We normally stay in Walt Disney World or at a Marriot or Sheraton Hotel. We loved the convenience of the two bedroom unit with all the amenities of a fully furnished and equiped apartment. The staff even started a fire for us in the […] fireplace at our request. We took family vacation for the spring break and arrived the hotel at 3:45pm in a cold and raining March day. The reception area is very nice but the receptionist was very distance and we didn't feel be welcomed. We were told our hotel room was still not ready and we had to wait for one hour even the hotel's web site claimed the check-in time is 4:00pm. […] We gave one of our cell phone numbers to the receptionist and asked him to call us when the room was ready but we didn't get any call until we checked it again at 5:00pm. I must say that we were very impressed with the whole layout of Kingsmill Resort. It is gorgeous! I wish we had a room with a view of the water, instead of the tennis court! Our room wasn't ready when we tried checking in at 4:30pm and they graciously applied a credit to our account, which will be used for the Easter Brunch reservations we had made. […] The brunch was very nice and we had a table with a panoramic view of the grounds and river, which despite the pouring rain, was lovely. I do wish we had been offered a mimosa or a bloody mary with our brunch. I thought the room was very nice, not as fabulous as I expected it to be however. I thought the sofa/living room furniture to be a bit dated and drab and not very comfortable. Our daughter slept on the sleeper sofa and I didn't think it was comfortable at all. The thing that really annoyed me however was no soundproofing whatsoever! I thought there was a herd of elephants above us, jumping on and off the bed. The next morning, I could hear our next door neighbor complaining about the lack of hot water; it was as if I was in the same room. This was probably the most disappointing aspect of our stay. We went to a fabulous French restaurant nearby which I highly recommend: Le Yaca, it is just across the street from Kingsmill. I doubt we will return, simply because of the noise level, but the resort itself sure was beautiful! Les mer

The resort was nice enough. However, for the price charged, I was not thrilled to discover there is a controlled thermostat in the room. I was also expecting more of a "hotel" (i.e., conference/banquet rooms on one floor with rooms on upper floors). The rooms are different blocks of "apartments" away from the main building. Check in was ahead of schedule!!!!!!n No issues. Quiet. Clean. LOVED the spa experience. Wish more restaurants were open all the time, but our meals were all good. Room was pleasant, comfortable.

Loved it overall - beautiful location, lots of great facilities, convenient to Wiliamsburg, Busch gardens and many other sights and sites. Only real complaint was kind of unfriendly service by three different people at the fitness center front desk.

Good location but more like a condo development than a hotel. Too far to walk to main building to eat. Shabby old room and furniture.

Resort prices with out updating of rooms. Stay in a 2 bedroom suite. Furnishing look like 60's or 70's. Room service food was the worst in 15 years! Did not eat a bit of 4 dinners.

Beautiful place, lovely stay. Even beats the Sanderling Inn in Duck NC... A few picky comments.1) Indoor Pool interior needs painting or scrubbing- couldn;t tell which. 2) No hangers in the coat closet 3) A little dusty under the bed.

I would give the hotel/resort an actual overall rating somewhere between 3 and 4. While our stay was pleasant, it was not quite what we expected as my expectations were pretty high given some of the other reviews prior to our stay. My daughter and I arrived VERY LATE after a long drive. Relaxing resort experience! Our room had a balcony overlooking the river. Great location for our few days visit to Colonial Williamsburg and area.

We went to this hotel specifically for their New Year's Eve celebration, (Because of extenuating circumstances - military active duty, one in our party had a restricted area where we were able to go.) It was a nice party, although not spectacular. There was quite a variety of age groups present and, as we were with our daughter and son-in-law, it was […] relatively ideal and we all had a good time. The 2 BR suite was perfect for us and we were well-cared for by all staff personnel. (And we ordered wood for the fireplace often!) I would love to return in the spring or fall and enjoy the outdoor activities (3 golf courses, etc.) offered at the resort. We selected the location as it enabled us to visit historic Jamestown, Williamsburg, and Yorktown and it was within our prescribed travel destination area. Les mer

I went there for a weekend getaway with my boyfriend. I was a little disappointed because I had ordered strawberries and champagne to be there when we got there, I called and confirmed 3 times, but still it wasn't there. We had to call and confirm once we arrived at the hotel which obviously was rather meaningless at that point. However, minus that […] little hiccup, It was a perfect getaway from DC, and I highly recommend visiting. I hope to come back when the weather's nice so I can play some golf! Les mer

We had a one bedroom suite with a fireplace and it was fantastic. The staff brings firewood and lights a fire. I wish you had the option of getting more firewood yourself instead of calling every few hours but otherwise everything was great. Clean, quiet, relaxing and very nice staff.

I got the chance to sleep next too the most beautiful girl in the world in a great hotel what more could I ask for service was great house keeping even came to change the sheets at 7 pm because our son spilled apple juice in the bed

Very nice place to stay. We didn't take advantage of resort amenities, but we did dine at the Marina restaurant. Service was wonderful, food was as expected at a resort facility (not great, not bad, adequate). The layout is nice for not running into guests because of the many buildings. We made our reservation for my sister and I to enjoy a Mom's weekend away and it was fabulous. We went to the near-by outlet stores and then crashed at the resort with a cold beer from room service. Then we enjoyed a soak in the hot tub at the fitness center and then a wonderful dinner at the Marina. This place is for anyone who doesn't have a lot of […] time to waste and wants a guaranteed great experience - comfortable room, friendly room service, amazing food and drink with shuttle transport immediately from your room to wherever you needed to go on grounds. (Made it easy for us Moms to relax and let loose a little and be SAFE!) Next year we plan to do this again and are looking into the amazing spa packages! Les mer

I attended a conference here last year, and was very impressed. Therefore, when my family came up for Thanksgiving and we visited Williamsburg, I immediately reserved a room at Kings Mill. It was beautiful and I was once again very pleased with the atmosphere and hospitality.

A short drive from Colonial Williamsburg, but great for families with kids or teenagers who are interested in golf, tennis, or other activities as well as seeing the sights. Lots of options and activities. We had a family of 5 in a large 2 BR suite with a full kitchen that was perfect!

The grounds and main buildings are beautiful. Our bathroom could have been cleaner. There were dirt smears on the baseboards and a corner of the shower curtain had mildew on it. We booked a 3 day stay for Thanksgiving. When the reservations were made, the menus were not finalized for Thanksgiving dinner. When I checked back to make dinner reservations […] there were none available. I think that the hotel should have emailed those who had made early reservations for the holiday to alert us that dinner reservations were now available. The check-in process was odd. I waited in line for 10 minutes while the couple in front of me was being checked in. When I arrived at the desk I was given my keys, a map of the grounds, and told to "have a nice stay"; not even half of the information that was given to the party in front of me. I wonder what the difference was that merited a complete explanation and orientation for them, and the brush off for me. The pool facilities were not available one evening due to "maintenance needs" and that was disappointing to us. Room service was good, as was the food in the Regatta. The Mill has excellent coffee and pastries if you do not want a full breakfast in the dining room. Overall we had a nice stay. Les mer

My wife and I had a weekend stay(10/26/12 Fri arrival/Sun 10/28/12 departure) REASON FOR STAY - R&R The GROUNDS were in great shape. The GOLF COURSE looked to be in great shape(Although I didn't play) Online the BALCONY was promoted as an added amenity - balcony view was decent (I'm sure other views are much better with water surrounding property - […] cleanliness of the balcony was poor - cleanliness of the entrance to the room was poor THE ROOM (interior) - bed comfortable - interior clean - flat screen TV - no fridge(we were aware of this going in) - ice machines are in vending locations outside of condo - ice not suitable for consumption - only suitable to cool "closed/un-opened items LOCATION - restaurants on premises(no review) - close to Bush Gardens - Outlet shopping - fastfood & other restaurants - fuel - William & Mary College (check sporting events - this may impact local traffic) Les mer

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here. This set-up was more like apartments rather than a hotel; which made coming and going very easy. The room did not have a fridge, which annoyed me, but other than that it was clean and had modern features. There is a 4 mile trail loop which was awesome as I am an avid runner. excellent Spa staff, and helpful staff for anyone who has trouble walking around, they have provide transportation 24 hrs. Beautiful location, was there on business and returned for a family weekend.

I had a room that had parties upstairs and next to us. It took so long for security, that we changed buildings. There should be refrigs and microwaves in rooms.
