Vi hadde et flott opphold på HHMI&S! vi var på familieferie med barn fra 12-22 - de elsket stedet. Flott med et lite treningssenter, nydelig bassengområde med bordtennisbord og boblebad! Vi hadde både frokost og middag i restauranten - fantastisk god mat!De i resepsjonen var utrolig hyggelige og imøtekommende. Området rundt var stille og rolig, med flere koselige restauranter så man slapp kjøre inn i byen. Kort vei til Sea World. Eneste minus var at noen av hotellgjestene var svært høylytte nattestid, og det var lytt fra utsiden av rommet. Det var også ganske lytt mellom rommene, så vi kunne høre svært godt krangelen på naborommet fra badet vårt. Men alt i alt et supert opphold! Kommer gjerne tilbake!!

"Nice hotel good location"
Good location, if you want to be near the San Diego Harbor or the Gas lamp district this hotel is for you. Small but adequete gym for a few night stay, with an outdoor pool and hot tub. Enjoy!

The hotel was being remodeled in the lobby however still gorgeous hotel. the room was very large and had a good amount of space. the hotel was very clean, great location across from the horton plaza mall and only blocks from the gaslamp district. it was perfect! would definately stay there again!

The hotel it self is a good place to stay. Good for the business personnel to access their downtown appointments. Good for tourist to access the shopping and dinning of the downtown neighborhoods. Good for the MLB addicts. The only problem, it's not the Westins fault, is the San Diego downtown homeless. I would say that has become a problem of every […] city in America today, big or small. Beautiful hotel located within walking distance of many sights and attractions. Staff was friendly and attentive. Beautiful views of downtown and the bay. Would love to stay here again!

My only complaint would be the cost of the Valet parking. There was no sign indicating the price and the guy didn't say anything either we found out when we got our bill. Hotel guests shouldn't have to pay to park!

Don't confuse this hotel with the one at Horton Plaza. They are literally two blocks from each other and share the same name. Lovely hotel, beautiful lobby and great restaurant. Loved this place and the views were so spectacular. Would stay here again - especially with hotel.com discounted rates

I have no complaints about the room, the only issue was the parking. The customer has to pay for their own parking, it was really annoying and ended up spending about $150
The checkin process was quick and easy. The room was confortable, and the bed was fantastic. It was an easy 6 block walk to the convention center. Very nice hotel.
"Amazing Stay"
I normally don't give a hotel a five out of five, but this one deserves it! From the staff to our room, everything was top notch. We had an amazing view of the bay and the city and even got to see fireworks from our room.

Our stay was great and the location of the hotel was perfect. Just a couple of minutes walk to the ferry. Room was clean and hotel was classy. Very nice stay. "Westin - San Diego - 400 W Broadway"
The shower wouldn't go fully on and was very difficult to pull to get the shower to work at all. there was a piece missing from the window sill - - Tacky!! Room 1522.
"The most comfortable bed we have slept on!"
We loved the Westin San Diego. The location was good, it was a short walk to the gaslamp quarter but far enough away that it was quiet at night. Our room had a great view of the city and bay. The beds were amazing and we slept well through our whole vacation. The concierge was very knowledgable and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. The rooftop […] pool was a bit of a disappointment as it was dirty and run down. It certainly looked better in pictures. In spite of this we will certainly be reccomending this hotel to others. "awesome stay besides valet"
I love westin enjoy everytime I go there. I love their beds and locations. The only drawback this time was a valet who was quite rude when we pulled up in my pickup and he didn't believe me when I said I was staying there.
"WOULD NOT STAY AT WESTIN AGAIN!"
We stayed at Westin for 4 days and 3 nights. 1)Each day the maids would knock on our door at 9am to clean. We didn't answer the door because we were sleeping, and they would walk in and I guess she would see our belongings laid out and apologized for coming in and left. Then after 2pm (daily) we would leave our room and the maids never returned. We […] had to call to front desk to remind them to clean our room and change the comforter due to our infant made a mess on the bed. The maids changed the sheets, but not the comforter. 2) We ate in the hotel restaurant for the breakfast buffet. The eggs & bacon were undercooked. We asked if we could just order from the menu and were told that we still had to pay for the buffet since we received a plate, when it was clear that we took a bite of our food and that's it. We paid the $21.95 per person for the buffet and left. 3) Although the valet was very costly ($32 a day), we paid the valet a $5 tip each time we took our car out and returned it to them. $10 total for each trip. We kept getting the same valet guy and he would always look at the money when we gave it to him...as if it were not enough. This was very uncomfortable for us. We didn't know if we under payed or not, but I thought if you received any amount that was ok! 4) I cranked up the a/c to 68 degrees and for some reason it turns off during the middle of the night, so we were hot and sweaty. However, at around 7am it automatically comes back on. I guess their way of conserving their electricity bill that we should be entitled to for staying in the room. 5) I read reviews before booking this hotel and it talked about the construction. Yes, there is construction going on right across the street but there is so much building going on that you just can't escape it so it's not the hotels fault. 6) I checked out at 11:55am. I had initially prepaid my stay and there was no balance that I was aware of that would be remaining and the front desk confirmed that there would be Les mer
"The Westin in San Diego"
Nice hotel in a great location. Very quiet, despite being across from the elevator lobby. Great views. The room was very comfortable and clean. The bed was particular comfortable with great pillows (not the foam kind found in most other hotels). There were a few maintenance issues in the bathroom (faucet dripping in tub, sink stopper nonfunctioning, […] air in shower pipes), but when we reported these at checkout we were given vouchers for coffee along with an apology and gratitude that we reported it. "Westin in San Diego on Broadway"
Overall our stay was very nice. The only complaint was of course the cost of parking and also the construction noise during the week. We were unfortunately awakened by the construction of a building that is being built across the street at 7am. I was very happy with the kindnesses extended to me, whille I was in the San Diego Westin Hotel ! Every employee whom I came in contact with were professional and friendly. I would reconmend " The Westin San Diego Hotel" to any , and all of my friends.
"Room was not clean"
We checked in at 5PM, and when we went up to the room, the room was not clean, it looks like the room was still occupied by other hotel guest. (Thank god, I didnt walk-in on anybody, and it wasnt me that was in that room) The hotel offer to waive the valet for us, but I just think this is not acceptable for a hotel like Westin. the second room they […] gave us was not cleaned!!! there was a piece of dried up contact lens on the sink (yuck!) "Absolutely Beautiful"
This hotel was amazing. even though we were only there for a few hours, it was the nicest, most amazing hotel in the area and at a great price. when all other hotels were way expensive (omni, hilton) the Westin was affordable for the holiday weekend. would defiantly stay here again!
Our only disappointment was that we reserved 2 rooms with 2 double beds and instead got 2 rooms with king beds. Everyone managed to sleep okay, however, it could have been a bad situation. Reasonably good location and we had bay view. Had to walk several blocks to restaurants. Like many large cities, this area had lots of homeless.

"Westin San Diego - Beautiful view, good location"
My daughter and I stayed at the Westin San Diego for just under a week. We were pleased with every aspect. Prior to booking with this hotel, I read the reviews. I was concerned about the construction and the parking fees. No need for concerns! No need for a rental car. We walked to the Ferry Boat landing several times and took it to the island. Walked […] uptown to the lamplight district, walked to Horton Plaza, walked to Seaport Village and had a blast. We had the most wonderful view of the bay on the 16th floor. The construction was just out our window but, we could not hear it nor did it bother us at all. Our beds were like clouds of fluff and we felt like princesses. Very clean rooms and superior maid service. The food in the restaurant was great. However, one serving is huge. No refrigerator to store leftovers so my advice would be to split. We would definitely stay in a Westin again!!! Les mer

The hotel is located in a great spot. However,,, do not rely on refrigerator on request as there were none available. Our internet didn't work either and wasnt fixed till the last day of the stay and the staff were friendly but extremely unhelpful with any basic information.

My wife and I visited for a weekend and stayed 2 nights. PERFECT location for us as we walked the 10 minutes to the Gas Lamp District, 2 blocks to the train station, 5 minutes to the USS Midway and Ferry to Coronado. The hotel was very nice as well. Only complaint would be the non-service we received at the Hotel Bar. We were completely ignored by […] the staff for over 15 minutes and when they did take our order they were beyond slow. The hotel is in a prime location. It's walking distance to pretty much everything. Overall, I was pretty satisfied with the hotel. Service was good, atmosphere was nice enough. However, our room was oddly shaped. I believe we were in a corner room so it was kind of shaped like a triangle and the TV was all the way on the other side of the room (opposite […] corner) so it felt like we needed to squint to see it or change the batteries in the remote so it would work. Not a huge deal, just odd. I suppose I expected to be wowed, especially for a Westin hotel, but it turned out to be adequate. No major complaints though. Les mer

I love the hotel overall and it is in a great location in downtown San Diego, but the pool is small and the service at the pool is awful. We got there late and wanted to just sit at the pool and have a few drinks before we left to meet friends. Liked the room...lots of elevators so you weren't waiting for long periods of time to catch one. The pool is outdoor but is heated to 82 degrees-awesome!!! The entry way needs a face lift...

We had a great time in San Diego. We walked to the Sea Port Village most nights for dinner and it was a nice walk from the Hotel. Others have commented about using the parking across the street for $15 per day instead of the Hotel's ~$32 valet parking. We were able to do this every night because we would leave in the morning and come back after noon. […] We also tried Rock Bottom Brewery which is a few blocks over on 4th and G. "Amazing stay"
I have stayed at this particular hotel before but htis stay was wonderful. My family loves this hotel due to its location, the beds and the employees. The employees at this hotel are always friendly and ready to help but this stay was particularly special due to one employee, Kayti. She was so friendly, my two daughters loved her, she even sent cookies […] to our room for my daughters bithday, customer service is not lost on this employee. I cant say enough about her and how she made our stay awesome. We love this hotel and look forward to staying there in the future. This hotel is conveniently located in downtown SD, everyting in downtown is within walking distance, no need to drive with such wonderful weather. Parking fee is a liitle high. Les mer

"Over sold?!?!"
Over sold and sent us over to an old hotel that they describe as a "landmark hotel that has a unique traditional feel." Traditional as in old! I wanted something nice and modern and they gave me dark and scary. Thanks Westin!

"Westin San Diego near Marina & downtown"
Great location only blocks from Seaport Village area, downtown Gaslamp District & Convention Ctr but in low traffic area. My husband was attending a Conference all week & we decided to spend an extra night before leaving home. Thus moved to this hotel for one night. Great pricing deal via Hotels.Com.
"Excellent experience"
First time at this hotel and I had a great time. The location is awesome. Many great restaurants, bars, stores, etc. all within walking distance. If you need to get to an area out of downtown the cost of a cab ride is reasonable. Hotel is next to lightrail trains so look into that too. The room was very well kept and clean. The beds were amazing as […] was the city view. Front desk crew were very professional and very helpful especially with restaurant recommendations (thanks!). Make sure to catch the free Westin shuttle van from the airport and ask your driver about his recommendations for restaurants/bars. They know a lot of stuff, too! "Downgrade to 3.5 Star"
This is no "4 star" hotel. 3.5, max. The rooms were clean and modern, but nothing special. The fee for valet parking was "shameful" for a respectable hotel chain. $32.00 per day. Come on... this isn't San Francisco. Across the street one can self park for $15.00 (no in-and-out privileges). The staff was friendly and professional. Close to the Midway […] and Gaslamp district.
