The food was awful, especially the eggs that were very watery. Our room smelled like mold and the rain was coming in through the window panes and pooling in the windowsills. Told the staff about it and they moved us to a different room for the next night but it was a down grade from what we payed for. We were put in a room with a queen bed when we paid […] for a king. The location was perfect close to portland. The hotel is near the mall and other eateries. One flaw i would say is that they never refilled toilet paper and tissues. Also the continental breakfast staff were quick to put away the food at 9:30 even though breakfast ends at 10. A bit early considering how people sleep in on vacations usually. I enjoyed my stay, the room was nice. It was clean except for the window sill which had some mildew around the corner of the window. Other then that it was sppotless. I did call maintaince regarding the heater. it was so hot and I couldn't open the window (which led to finding the small mildew stain) They sent brad, the maintance guy right up, he was […] there in minutes, fixed the heater and my second night was much more comfortable then the first. I like a cool bedroom to sleep in. All the staff were wonderful, very friendly and extremely helpful. I will definitely be staying there again on my next trip to maine. Les mer

Hotel was ok, room size was small, bathroom was tiny. Unfortunately there were a bunch of sports teams there when we stayed and there was not hot water for showers for over an hour, which is not acceptable. We will probably not stay there again.

The hotel had recently been renovated. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The continental breakfast the following morning was very good. The hotel was a good value for what I paid

There were some renovations dane at the hotel.Unfortunately that did not include the beds or at least not the bed in the room we were given.The room was on the small side but apart from the bed it was ok

No complaints. Fresh baked cookies and coffee were available at time of check-in. They even had a free supper offering when we arrived.

The beds were amazing, and the decor updated, but parts of the room still looked worn out. Not sure if we will stay there again, as it wasn't the quality of Fairfield Inn that we've been to in the past. The shower head had some staining on it, and the walls showed "patching". However, the staff was wonderful, and very helpful, and the breakfast offerings […] more than ample. Overall, it was an OK experience, but for us, the bathroom/cleanliness is always a deal breaker. Would use it as a "back up" if what we want isn't available. Les mer

We have stayed there before and were very pleased to see the hotel renovated.The staff are very pleasant and helpful and the room was very comfortable. The new carpet in the room already had some stains, managemant and staff need to keep after this to keep it looking fresh. The breakfast for the most part was very good however, as seniors we prefer […] the choice of a boiled egg and sausage patti, not microwaveable high fat sandwiches. There was only one waffle maker and you could use a continuous toasting machines. Thank you. Les mer

We were happy with the room, check-in staff and the bowl of turkey soup awaiting us after a long drive on American Thanksgiving Day. I would have liked a hair dryer, but had to go out to the car to get my other bag. We certainly recommend this hotel.

Had a great visit at the Fairfield Inn. Room was clean and staff very friendly. Large breakfast buffet was much more then expected. Would definitely stay there again.

Loved the stay. Room was neat and clean and really liked the white and green leaf motif through the hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful, couldn't have been a better stay.

Everyone was friendly, the added touches (the night we stayed they had a variety of pies and drinks to help yourself to), the fridges in the room and the breakfast. made the stay even better. Great value.

Only stayed one night waiting for flight to NYC and we were in late and out early. Hotel staff were friendly, room was clean and hotel was in a great area near Maine Mall and South Portland airport. We did arrive at the same time as a bus tour which made elevator access hard with only one available and unlocked by room key.

This is a decent hotel. Room was clean, but amenities aren't the greatest. Free Wi-Fi is a plus -- reasonably fast & no trouble connecting. Bed was OK, not great. Bathroom a little small, but clean. Biggest downside was total lack of soundproofing at my door, which let the conversation from a gaggle of early risers through loud and clear at 7:00am. […] Somewhat off-putting was entry way, which appeared to require a key to get inside from the foyer (but didn't) and which certainly required a key to access the elevator (which was oddly in the foyer, not inside the hotel proper). Night check-in staff was nice enough, morning check-out was very helpful. Since this is Marriott's "budget" line, I can't complain, but it's not the Ritz, and you get what you pay for. Les mer

We were very impressed. It appears as though there have been a few things updated and the fact that there were breadsticks/pizza in the lobby when we checked in was such a treat! The beds were comfortable and the room actually smelled good. A rare find. Couldn't beat the price either!
