Portofino Hotel & Yacht Club - A Noble House Hotel - Redondo Beach

Dette er et nydelig hotell, men skuffelsen vår var stor da vi oppdaget hvor utrolig langt unna det fra noe by og strandliv. Svømmebassenget var et vits på 5*7 meter, det var ingen strand i tilknytning til hotellet. Hotellets betjening var utrolig imøtekommende og det var heldigvis ikke noe problem å gjøre oppholdet kortere enn planlagt. Bodde 4 netter på Portofino. Flotte rom, deilige senger, god service og god mat. Deilig og avslappende hotell "sør" i byen. Anbefaler å prøve de noe slappe men kule syklene man kan låne på hotellet til å komme seg rundt langs strandpromenaden. Kort vei til Hermosa Beach som er fantastisk fin.

Flott beliggenhet ved sjøen. Rolig hotell som egner seg som base for utflukter i LA. Anbefales.

For purposes of a beach location, the hotel is ideally placed with easy access (about half a mile) to beach areas on both sides of the hotel. There are plenty of restaurants and shopping areas within walking distance. For fresh seafood, there are several restaurants very close by and if you are to go out to party, the nearby Hermosa Beach Pier is a […] good place to start. Enjoyed the hotel, and the restaurant is outstanding with friendly service!!!!! Loved riding bikes (no charge) from the hotel down the strand. Convenient location to many places in LA. We went to the OC twice and it only took 50 minutes with no traffice. I'd stay here again and the price was right!

I knew old Port Fino Inn before. New one remind me nice lacation and cozy and warm atomosphere. Very close from airport and many good restrant around beach. Recomended!

I stayed at the hotel and had a very enjoyable visit but I have a huge complaint about the cost of parking. I was not told in advance that parking would cost me $24 per day. I think the fact that I was not told was appalling and the cost is excessive. I have stayed at comparable hotels and not been charged or been charged a small amount $24 is outrageous. […] When I questioned this, there was no explanation and no interest from the staff. The staff of the hotel were very friendly and welcoming. The hotel appeared to be bright. The single elevator was old. Our shower had a hair all in it before anyone showered, which made me question the overall cleanliness of the hotel. The location was good for beach and waterfront views, but not recommended for those wanting to do the touristy Hollywood […] thing. Les mer

perfect place to stay when visiting disneyland, hollywood, santa monica etc. Nice and centrally located. Safe area, ran from hotel everyday! Staff was sooooo great!

The hotel was very well situated. We were offered a complimentary upgrade to the side facing the sea. The room was a bit noisy, I suspect because of the AC of the contiguous room. Apart from that everything was great.

Hotel was OK; staff was OK, but not impressive; Breakfast at restaurant was awful; service was slow, indifferent and annoying; food was OK- not exceptional. I had expected something better.

did not like how they smack you with a $24 per day parking fee. $24 dollars, really? had to argue my way out of that one. besides that, we got a room upgrade to ocean view for only $35 which was great!

Extremly pleased and satisfied with the hotel and facilities, read some adverse comments just before i arrived for my stay, but these were unfounded. the hotel is beautiful and well maintained with friendly helpful staff. previous adverse comments mentioned (a) Unsitely power station:- this was over half a mile away beyond the neautiful marina and has […] a large hoarding painting with whales on to his the station. not a problem. (b) Some other guest stated that they had requested a 2nd floor room but had only been allocated a 1st floor room, But in the USA a 2nd floor room is the 1st floor as we Brits know it. (c) Parking ws expensive at $25 per night but this was avoided by having our UK disabled pass which gave us FREE parking for our stay. We had a 2nd floor standard Marina view room which was large, spacious and clean. would recommend staying as location and surrouding area is excellant. Les mer

We absoloutly loved this place. The service was wonderful, everyone was always helpful and friendly. We stayed on the Marina side on the 3rd floor, which I would recommend highly. I think the ocean side or marina side would be great. They have bikes you can use, my son (college student) used one and they recommended a great place for him to ride. He […] loved it. Always a great stay here. Chart House and Cheesecake Factory so close by. 8 miles from LAX, so I always stay here the night before I fly back

The Portofino Hotel and Yacht Club is one of the best places to stay when visiting the LA area. The staff is friendly and beyond helpful. The rooms are spacious, have great views, and all amenities. Everything about the hotel was excellent. I will stay there in the future and recommend it to all travelers.

My fiance and I recently stayed at the Portofino for a weekend "staycation" from Los Angeles. The hotel is one of the nicest in the southbay if you want to be near the water. The hotel lobby bar has wonderful window seats so you can watch the sunset and watch the sea lions. The hotel restaurant faces the marina and had very good food. As a first time visitor to Los Angeles, I must say that I was extremely impressed with my hotel experience. The location was not only great but the gorgeous views, peaceful atmosphere, and the welcoming locals inside and outside of the hotel were even better. It is far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the city but still close enough to hit […] the major sites if I wanted. The staff and accommodations were hands down excellent. I reserved a Non Smoking room with a King Bed; however, I was given Room #114, which had a Queen Bed. The baseboard was missing in bathroom, and there was mold and mildew growing on the wall. The hotel was great in all respects except that we had specifically requested when we booked, for a second floor room (two above ground level) and were told it was reserved for us. Although the lounge was magnificent and the staff were wonderful, the hotel halls smelled of disinfectant. It was awful. Once in the room the accomodations were fine but unfortunately, you had to walk the halls to get there. The restaurant for breakfast was lovely as well

My wife and I had a wonderful time at this hotel over the weekend. The staff gave exceptional service and was very friendly and accommodating. They even upgraded our room upon our arrival. The rooms are a little small but the view of the ocean and sunset was amazing. We definitely will be going back and recommend it to everyone.

Had a wonderful weekend stay. No complaints except that parking is expensive, however this is LA.

We had a memorial service here and the hotel was perfect. The staff were very helpful. The food was great. The view was wonderful. All in all a great place for the family to gather.

We spent our wedding night at Portofino Hotel. When we arrived, we were warmly greeted by very courteous staff. When they realized that we were there for our wedding night, they upgraded us to a suite. The suite, the view, the experience was amazing. first-floor rooms with ocean views look at a concrete wall and past that is water surrounded by a string of huge rocks. not worth the extra cost. No sound or view of crashing waves or a beach.

I was very pleased with the hotel property and staff. Great location for restaurants and things to do.

Portofino Hotel & Yacht Club, at chekc in they confirmed my room reservation with a King size bed. Then put me in a room with a Queen Bed. After returning tot the front desk to ask for my correct room they laughed and suggested I must be wrong put would upgrade me to a bigger room. Feeling pleased that it was corrected, i check my hotels.com reservation […] to find that they didnt correct anything they put me in the room I booked.....Very nice hotel not sure what went wrong with the hiring process for the front desk! The front desk staff were very knowledgeable and efficient opon check in. All the other staff were kind and helpful. The hotel was very clean and thelemonade in the lobby was the best I have had in a long while. I recommend this hotel highly!

Stayed t this hotel in December and fell in love with it and surrounding area. Our room was beautiful we stayed on the marina side on the third floor and had a beautiful view. The room was lovely and set up well. The only downfall was there were some ants in the shower.

We are LA locals, so this was just a getaway for us. GREAT staff, love the location, though if sandy beaches are your thing those are a half mile away or so. Parking was a little steep but no more so than other beach hotels. Our favorite fish marke/restaurant is practically next door (Captain Kidds) and there are at least 6 decent restaurants within […] walking distance. Room was big with a great view of the sunset. Careful with the marina view rooms. Some look directly at trees in the parking lot. Only {very small} gripe: no soda machines in the hotel. You have to use the mini bar or go to a bait stand next door. Kind of a silly oversight. Les mer

The decor was absolutely lovely. Staff was friendly, especially in the restaurant and bar. When I asked the front desk clerk where to park he told me but neglected to give me a parking permit so we found a letter of warning on the car in the morning. Better than getting towed but how come we weren't given a permit if required? Walls were very thin and […] we drew a room next to toddlers specializing in early morning temper tantrums with a stressed out mom and loud father. I woke up in the morning and found old blood on the sheets. The shower was sub par. Water leaked everywhere... If I could give a negative score I would... On a positive!!! It is located in a nice area, and close to the bars and shops.

Beautiful Hotle with an East Coast kind of look. Great room. Get one with an Ocean view if you can. The staff was great and the free cruiser bikes allowed us to check out coast line and all the different Beach towns, shops and eateries. Belldini's has a great Happy Hour! I highly recommend this hotel.
